What a great video! My wife of 70 , reluctantly recently sold her last motorcycle, due to early Parkinson's. We had some great rides together! You ride on girl, be careful and enjoy the ride!!
I really admire you ladies. I’m 63 years and started riding bikes this past April 2024 after I retired from my job. My dream is to do a trip like this one day. First God. May God bless all of you and always ride safe.
Doodle, you are a amazing and incredible person. Not just because you ride a bike, but because I see you for the human you are. Your humility and kindness impresses me
It's horrifying how much violence takes place against women and children in society, and to think about part of the human family facing even more of it is absolutely devastating. A native friend has told me about how she was treated in her youth by teachers and school officials who were supposed to protect her, not take advantage of their power, and it's the stuff of horror movies. Thank you for bringing attention to these issues. We are all one human family, and we need to stand together against those who hurt our siblings.
So sad that you don't know that domestic violence is about 50/50. People don't like to talk about it. It varies a few points either way depending on where you are in the country, but it's about 50/50. You know how many shelters there are for abused men? 2. In the entire country. Countless for women, but 2 for men, because men are still considered disposable.
@@section8usmc53 Being concerned about one thing does not mean being unconcerned about another. If someone wants to bring awareness to veterans who suffer from PTSD, that doesn't mean no one else has PTSD. Men being abused certainly happens and is also horrible. But this ride was about native women, who do face higher rates of violence than almost any other group. Acknowledging that doesn't mean others are not also suffering.
@@section8usmc53 I did say what I said, in plain English. Sorry you need to try and minimize what others go through. Violence against native women is a huge problem and deserves to be recognized and addressed. This is not an appropriate venue for your whataboutism.
Thanks @DoodleOnAMotorcycle for sharing this! I was not aware of Medicine Wheel Ride cause, it is great! the awareness should start with every household, every Mothe/Father alerting children to be extra cautious with their everyday lives.
Thank You for posting this. I've been going to Sturgis for decades. This has given me a whole different viewpoint of the area and people. A lot of this is new to me. Next time I will visit new places and be sure to show my support.
What an inspirational ride, I lived 2.5 hours north of Seattle in Vancouver, now live in northern Alberta. I made it to Devils tower this summer but wouldn’t be close to what you experienced on this ride . You’re very lucky to experience that so touching.
Well done! Happy to see you make the videos/stories that move you. It's not the happiest, but life isn't always sunshine. Connecting with people is what you're seemingly pretty darn good at.
Hi Doodle Carolyn, I'm a 55 year old dude and haven't ridden since the late 1990's, so I'm out of shape, but you are such an inspiration to me. I want to be like you as a rider, doing U-Turns, figure 8's, taking lessons (which I did !), and just getting back into it. Thank you for educating on this topic!!!❤
Thank you for this fabulous video. It helped open my eyes. I have no knowledge if I have any native American blood in me. But we are all descendants of the great spirit. We are all The People. And we need to stand together to stop the violence of all races. Hope to see much more of videos like this. Thank you.
As a fellow Atlantan, it would have been so amazing to have known you were coming through town (Spokane/Coeur d'Alene). I would have loved to have seen the group and waved! I love the videos you do. I'm glad to see another video on the Medicine Wheel Ride.
I think the small town you were at Loves was Ritzville.
Doodle what a fantastic, informative, visual Vlog! Kudos for binging this very important often overlooked discrimative problem to light. I am from Ontario Canada and we have a very similar scenario here and throughout Canada. I am asking your permission to share this on my social networks to further inform other individuals of this on going tragedy. Stay Well Stay Safe and Keep Two Wheels Down
May the spirits be with all on your journey!
