I used the 2k epoxy but never used 2k cans, I'm gonna try find some when I start again.. I used a sponge where its like stonechip for underneath etc and seals in particles of rust air tight so won't rust again like the old ones can no matter how well you do it...its dang good stuff.
Hey, love your videos mate, just had a thought though. Have you thought about putting a different type of engine in Heidi just to mix things up a bit? I appreciate you already have all the bits etc from your old car but I’m sure they would sell quite easily. Just a thought that’s all to make it more exciting for both you and your watchers.. Keep up the good work mate 👍🏻
I already have a completely different engine in mind for Heidi’s future mate. but I must get her built using Maude’s setup first, and then completely strip Maude to bring in funds to make the future plans possible. 👍
I think you should paint the outside with 2K rattle cans, it would be really interesting to see how many cans you use, the overall cost and the results that DIYers could achieve, as you say it’s now going to be a drift toy so it’s bound to get bumps and scrapes anyway
No mate. The rust near the bonnet hinge would have started in between the hinge bracket and the upper bulkhead, where there wouldn’t have been any paint from the factory. But maybe flex in the shell in that area could have played a part?? 👍
@@marcushayesford No sorry i was referring to the holes cut into the front panel. In the pic at 1.35 the two holes near the passenger side above the number plate look buckled.
Ah yes. It’s an old pic. I crashed her into my security post once! ☹️ It just bent the front panel up a bit which is very weak due to those holes. Rob fixed and painted it, and whilst he was at it he used heat to shrink the metal to make it less flimsy. 👍
She actually does have a bit of paint missing on the very front of one of her wings, so some e has grazed her! ☹️ . . . At least we know it won’t rust because the wings are fibreglass! 😀
Hey, when you’re talking classic Ford tee shirts, don’t forget the dear old Twin Cam, car and engine! 😊
I sprayed my mini using 2k cans after watching your vids with them worked a treat looks amazing
Good stuff mate! 👍 Those 2k cans are so good. 👍
