I have been caravaning now for 30 odd years, you think ya get to know it all,...But, there is always some other great modern tips we never knew about, thanks young fella. !
Great ideas, I have an insulated Adria caravan definitely not an off road unit, I build my own hydronic heater using a refrigeration evaporator coil and a small recirculation water pump they and fan motor works very well...
Well done. One of the best, informative and humble videos I have seen on TH-cam! Great work, thank you. On the basis of this video alone, you now have another subscriber. Cheers, Dan
Great idea with your toilet cassette conversion. Please could you make a video giving more detail and shots of your set up and construction. Great video cheers.
sorry I only just saw this comment, it did not come up. Ill be making a heap of videos on how to install all this stuff on my new van in a month or so.
As a novice caravan person, I love the hose you have attached and all the other gadgets. Do you have a video for those who know nothing about caravan setups and necessities??
Hi Mel, I am hoping to make some more videos along that idea soon, if you have any specific things your curious about message me here and ill try to include it in the videos. thanks, Damian
Hi Guys, I agree, Is it possible for you to make a video on the toilet cassette conversion to a macerator system ? Why aren't these on all vans ?? Happy vanning Peter.....
Now several years down the track - I'd like to know if you'd still endorse the Hydronic Heating System. I like the concept and would like to know more about them. Where did you get yours from?
Probably not. I did put it in both my vans but if I could find a diesel that didn't stink, I would be more inclined to go that way for simplicity of efficiency. But so far no such luck.
Gidday Damian do those air bags give extra load capacity as I am buying a new Pajero this year as well as a caravan but I will be putting a motorbike on the back of mine as an extra emergency vehicle
They stiffen up the rear springs. alternatively you can just buy heavier spring, which is what I would do next time due to airbags needing to be pumped at least once a week. If your asking about if they increase your vehicles towing capacity then no, not without engineering and compliance
yes thats correct. I try to make the holding tank big enough to hold 7 days worth but it does remove the ability to throw the cassette in the car and drive it to the dump point.
Hi Damian, with your 1st mod, did your electrician make sure that the double power point was double pole? A lot of ‘domestic’ electricians don’t realise that there is a different set of SAA Wiring Rules. AS/NZS 3001:2008 that require all power points in a van to be DP.
Some great ideas, but the often the explanation is far too short and the associated video clip so short it is hard to work out just what you have done... Food for thought, but thanks!

@@DamianCandetti I will be checking out the subsequent videos. Thanks
@@DamianCandetti did you do a video on the macerating setup?
Great Run Through, lots of fantastic ideas. Thanks
Great stuff, we are so glad you have put these tips out there.....the sub woofer awesome!
Great setup! I really enjoyed how you made your caravan more efficient 👍🏼
Great ideas I'd like to borrow you for a week or so to implement some of these
G’day Darren, I’ve just ordered a subwoofer for my snowy River 19. Do you leave the door closed when you have the subwoofer/sound going?
yea the base will pass through the door no problem

Any chance you can share some details about the temp sensors used on your fridge ? I think that is a great idea.
they are just on ebay
Great job Dario and Damian, keep'em coming.
Great video, they are some serious mods - wow
so you pump water back through the tap area to fill up the tanks onstead of topping them up through the traditional filler?

@@DamianCandetti I like the idea of hydronic as I can use solar to heat the hot water during the day and harvest that
Hi was interested in your heating do you remember where you got it.
not off the top of my head sorry
great video. I love our SR-19

Just saw the 4 gng power point, almost DEFINITELY NOT double pole and illegal.
It is double pole and made by clipsal. google will find it if you look.
excellent well done
With regards to the waste macerator hack, are you limited to locating the van in close proximity to a dump point?
yes thats correct. I try to make the holding tank big enough to hold 7 days worth but it does remove the ability to throw the cassette in the car and drive it to the dump point.
7 days worth, that’s definitely worth a dangerous goods sticker on back 💩💩

The video was not clear on this point as its more detail than most look for and yes the gas is still double pole switched. thanks
great ideas.
Hi Damian have a video on your inverter on how you set it up or diagram? Love your work
Regards Ken
ill get onto a video soon, thanks
Can you show the hot water mod as a heater please am interested in it as not keen on diesel heater
Hey Damian, Just wondering if you got RV guard on your van? If so what do you think of it and would you recommend the extra cost??
sorry I only just saw this, no I don't have one so I cannot help there any way. thanks
@@DamianCandetti Hi Damian, do you have an email address I could contact you on? Thanks

Clever bugger !
Nutz mate I applaud u
Where did you get the hydronic heater from. Love the hacks 👍🏻
Ebay, its a all in one kit. but if your handy you could just buy a 12v water pump and a computer radiator and fan kit for probably $100 and save $400
@@DamianCandetti so essentially, your running water around your hot water heater element then blowing that hot air into your van?
yes, excellent idea, much better and easier than diesel, and uses existing systems
Hi, just wondering where you got the door from?
Bunnings, concertina door
What pressure was the pressure limiter set at
what pressure limiter? the airbags? 60psi
no the mains water inlet
Where did you get the folding door for the kids
Bunnings, about $50 its called a Concertina Door
Man must have spent twice what the caravan cost to buy in the first place on modifications 😂
Great ideas & information but way too fast . No time to really look at what he’s telling you.
