Thanks! Great job I used your video to replace my passanger side regulator this past weekend I would not have even attemped it without your video. Window works great hopefully stays that way! FYI I broke 3 door clips they cost me $1.06 each at my local CT Audi dealer- Dealer wanted $156.00 plus tax for regulator, bought mine online for $50.16 including tax and shipping - took 3 days to get. You saved me a boatload of $

The video was great. You did an excellent job explaining how to remove and re-install the regulator. Now I feel comfortable doing it myself. If I should have a problem I will simply go back to this video. Great job. Thank you

Thanks for posting. The trick with leaving the zip tie on the wheel until it’s in place is a life saver! Good work!

You did an awesome job in disassembling the driver side door panel, replacing the window regulator and and reassembling the door panel. Your video was one of the most detailed videos I've seen in a long time. Kudos to you! Great job!

Thank you so much! I've fixed a lot of different cars with that kind of issues but first time i see that complicated replacement. Ten minutes earlier I wanted to go straight to garage to replace it - because -what can be complicated in that kind of work? but such a luck i had, that i've found your video before. I bet i would destroy it without your detailed, perfect guide. i'm grateful for your work. You are awesome.

Thank you so much for the video, well done! 1st time I've ever done this job and your step by step made it so easy, can't thank you enough. Just a side note for anyone doing this, if the clips remain in the door when you pull off the panel, take them off the door and slide them back into the panel before putting the panel back on. Once I realized that, snapping the panel back into place was so easy.

Awesome Mike! Thanks very much... used your video to replace the passenger window regulator on my 17 year old son's 2004 A4 purchased in CT earlier this year. His car is identical to the one in your video and also a 6 speed...he swears the one in your video is his car... Went perfect and saved a bundle....was fun! Thanks again.

It's a little tough to describe, it may be best to take a look at the images in the links in the description and try and follow a similar pattern, basically it stretches from one side to another like a violin bow and wraps around the actual motor roller at some point along the way. Sorry I can't be more descriptive, maybe someone else can weigh in with their experience replacing the cable on their regulator.

Sorry no tutorial yet, same mechanism, just slightly different layout and trim. Take your time to understand the mechanism and you should be alright. Hope that helps.

I replaced the window regulator thanks to this video. I seem to have one issue though, when I roll down or up I seem to get like a semi scratching noise. any ideas?

My driver side window works when it wants to. Could this be the regulator? I have replaced the switches and still only works randomly. Motor sounds okay because I can hear it. So you think its the regulator? KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

It could be some component of the regulator, honestly it only took about 35-45 minutes to get to the regulator, it might be worth carefully pulling out and taking a look if you're unsure, it'll get you familiar with the repair too, give us a ring if you have any other questions: 1-860-388-9001

You may be able to remove the top of the interior trim near the window and slide your hand down to release the latch. It's going to be a tricky one but take your time taking note of the clips on the trim we removed and you should be ok. Give us a call at 1-877-634-0063 if you have any questions along the way.
