Good point regarding Times. I always try & get a job for first thing in the morning if possible. Failing that I'll wait to see what pops. Sometimes a I'll see a job starting mid morning going somewhere is which is fairly difficult to get work back from. So I'll put a higher price in but then I won't win the job. I don't think shippers care where the job goes to. They just want the best price.

    Hi Pete love the content!
If these are HX prices how much can you charge for end user customers as a rough estimate? I know people don’t like to give away there prices but rough price would be great to know . Thanks

Pete I would give a thought to mention the date with these prices & then people can do a rough working out as the years go on otherwise you will have to keep updating the videos in the future

Hey Pete love the videos !! Started a year ago today and had no knowledge of the industry, just had a van and thought how can I make some money from it. Thanks to videos such as yourself and others I'm making what I think is good money however I keep seeing people saying cx ilshould be used for backrates only, but I use it for most of my work. Where does someone like myself get the freelance work without cx and other apps ? Thanks for reading any advice would be appreciated. Keep up the great videos

Hi Pete I know you use road loads sadly not a option on iPhone
Could you do a comparison on copilot truck app and Sygic
That way is good for iPhone and android users
I’m after one as don’t want to buy a satnav but it would be helpful to know what is better in your opinion

It's only worth what the shippers want to pay for it. You can get lucky and do well, or do you bollocks an break even.

I'm on the road tramping in a 7.5t daf lf curtainsider no tail lift. Its white with blue curtains. If anyone sees me about near them, come say hi, my reg number is ONZ 1372. It sticks out as it has a sleeper pod above the sleeper cab

@@PetetheCourierDriver lol why! I bust my lip and given my myself a black eye today lol the curtain snagged as I was trying to close it. The wagon is 14'6 high and there was no way to each the top to unsnag it. I opted for the brute force method and just pulled harder. It unexpectedly worked and the pole on the end twated me. Not a polish fella, the pole that sits on the ratchet to tighten the curtains lol

How I do Long distance jobs.
only do hotshot and removals jobs and charge £1.50 per mile round trip ( from my home to home ) and that has work for me for the last 20 years and never bothered spending money on the CX and my average weekly takings is £1000 to to £1400 with just me and a 3.5 ton panel van and generally speaking i average 3 days a week
