Ive watched all of becky's videos, Honestly I'm sold. Its the coolest thing since sliced bread. You gotta see if you can get this thing on hoonigan after its done, i saw that flag. Lol. Ive got an 01 legacy outback 5spd, and the whole eg subaru combo project depends on if I can repair my legacy or not. I had a strut drop out on me last night. All I have to say is.... Rot.... If I can repair the strut tower subaru stays as is. And the honda gets a d15b single stage vtec. Anyway Love the series, I binged it. Will be watching more of your content. You gave me a lot of good direction and ideas for my own Frankenstein.
Thanks man that’s awesome! Would love to get this thing on Hoonigan. Sorry to hear about your Legacy. I have rust issues on my 04 STi as well. If you’re anywhere near Southeast PA I’d be happy to help out 🤘 - Appreciate the kind words - either way you go it doesn’t take much to have a ton of fun in an EG hatch.
@@Enginuity I'm all the way over in oregon unfortunately. Wish we were closer, I could learn a lot from you! TH-cam will have to suffice. Haha. As for the Eg, no it doesn't. Back before the block cracked she was fun. All I had were some coilovers, strut bars, and a stock d15z1. Thats right Vtec-e 😎 A whole 90 HP. Hahaha. She wasnt fast, but she didnt have to slow down for corners. I want to do something different with it, and i saw boostedboiz k20 or k24 swapped sti. And in said, I wanna do that, but backwards. The nimble chassis of the eg, superior grip from the awd and a more recent suspension design. On paper its a golden goose. The frame build is what Im most concerned with. Dont get me wrong. I can weld, but Im no fabricator.
I had an EF Hatch I used to auto cross with. Whopping 65hp but was such a fun car. Like you said, didn’t have to slow down for corners. Had coilovers, control arms, bushings, braces - you name it suspension-wise - but the engine was a bone stock jdm d15b2 so it had the 7k redline. Made a full custom exhaust to help it breathe up top which worked great. Replaced the 4 speed with a 5 speed trans but otherwise was stock driveline wise. When Becky is drivable I wanna do a challenge series with the BoostedBoiz Hondaru STi if they’ll be up for it. Was thinking road course, drag and some goofy like scavenger hunt type race. Best outta 3. I know he’ll have me on the drag race but should hold my own on a road course.
@@Enginuity hondaru vs hondaru. That would be epic. That k series is boosted, Throw some nos at becky even things up with a little 50 shot. Its only fair. I'm stoked to see the rest of this build and see it drive. You have any plans on lowering the front strut towers on the frame to clear a hood?
I think I’ll have a big weight advantage. I have big plans for the body on the car. The OE plastic fender was destroyed on the passenger side when I got it so knew I’d have to make my own going into it. I’ve always loved the DTM cars of the 80’s/90’s and have drawn a LOT of inspiration from them on the styling I have in mind, which will compensate for those massively tall front strut towers 😉
Started watching this video and already got me hooked with the first clip this is how Ik this is the video I’m looking for and I’m gonna learn something that I’m searching for at 4:10 am😭
I've been following your progress on this for a while, I can't wait to see the end result. When Marc told me about this I couldn't believe anyone was crazy enough to try it.
I've watched most of you " Subaru" videos as I'm planning to build a Meyers Manx using a EJ25 Phase 1 engine I have. Very impressed with your skills and abilities! Pretty certain you could answer the questions I have but uncertain whether you are still active.

Glad I could help 🤙 and thanks! Whatcha building?
@@Enginuity a 1st generation neon, with a srt-4 swap, mid engine. In the tedious sheet metal phase.
Nice! Sounds awesome!
