dude! thanks so much for this! i, too, am working on a midengine build using a WRX transaxle converted to FWD (mated to an Alfa Romeo 2.0L twin cam) and a 1st gen MR2 shifter. so flippin' cool! thanks again!
Great work !!! I’m currently in the process of swapping my project car sbc with a 7 series v12 and using a Audi A4 transmission. So this is very inspiring!!
Good video!!!! I’m doing the same and I already finished the design but my only concern is how to determinate the stroke of the cables for each cable and their lengths. What cable are you using? Thank for your help
Yep! I’ve been trying to get some content together around the second phase of the “off-road build” aspect of it. Time will forever be my enemy. Anything in particular you’d like to see me do with it?
Since the shift pattern isn’t changed I didn’t see a need for one, no. I was originally going to run a gated shifter to keep with the 80’s aesthetic but the shifters throws are REALLY tight so probably just a standard boot.
Hey man what cables did you use? I'm trying to unfuck the stock shifter assembly on a Saturn SL and those look like they're a million times better than the OEM cables.

Nice!
Man, am I glad to see that all cleaned up! I was a little worried after the last video. Looks seriously smooth, WELL DONE, great execution.
Thanks!
Awesome work! Watching to see how the throttle works out.
Running the drive by wire setup, easy peasy
I was having flashbacks of hondarods mr2 shifter cut grind repeat! That worked awesome!! The car gods have spoken and you're doing it right!!🏁🏁🏁
I’m still in shock at how well the damn thing works 🤣 all in all the whole thing wasn’t nearly as browbeating as I thought it’d be thankfully haha
Kick ass brother. I love the way you think. Great work.
Thanks man!
Nice setup!!!
Thanks! I’m shocked it actually works haha
Great info!! I’m in the process of building mid engine sand rail with sub trans.
Nice! What engine?

That’s awesome! Sounds like a ripper!
That's sick, my friend!!
Thanks!
Fabricating maniac! Awesome video series!!
Thanks for watching!
Amazingly well done!
Thanks! Appreciate that
Turned out great dude!
Thanks Brother!
Was waiting for this one
Glad I could deliver 🥳

Don’t overthink it. You need as much stroke as the shifter moves 🍻
Here’s what I bought: www.pegasusautoracing.com/productselection.asp?Product=4691
any chance the explorer coming back

Omg, WORKS !
Small miracles 🤣
Where are the shifter cables from? I re-watch these alot for my project

Where can I buy the Shifter adapter?
G'day the car God's say Fvck yes to this build
Do you intend to add a shifter plate to show which gear the transmission is in ?
Since the shift pattern isn’t changed I didn’t see a need for one, no. I was originally going to run a gated shifter to keep with the 80’s aesthetic but the shifters throws are REALLY tight so probably just a standard boot.
Ronald Popovec Where did you get the shifter cables and what is the stock number?
I got mine from Pegasus Racing. They’re just 1/4-20 push pull cables. Any cable shop can make them to whatever length you need

Did you make a template for the shifter plate and the other stuff for the transmission to shift? If so can I get a copy of them?
No all that stuff is just cut and roughed together for now. I will eventually CAD model once I have it finalized
Interested in this as well! Building a midengine Wrx powered 912. Your videos are awesome!
Interested in this as well, planning a mid engine mk3 Supra 😮. Big time would save the mid engine idea if you have this available!
Little confused on how it actuates side to side on the shifter side.
Hit me up on Instagram @paul_enginuity. I’ll send ya pics and video. It’s basically a lever attached to a fulcrum
@@Enginuity oh gotcha. I dont use insta. I'all have my lady follow ya on insta though!
Yea have her hit me up and I’ll send pics for ya 🤙

Do you havealist of parts you purchased for this mod?
I don’t but I can put one together
I would also be interested in a parts list!!!
