  • Hey guys!
    In this video I'll show you how to crochet a chunky scarf using ANY weight yarn. You DO NOT need chunky yarn to create this scarf (woo!). This is a great crochet project for beginners and works up super quick! I made mine in about 3 hours!
    You will need a total of 600g of Aran weight yarn to make the exact scarf I made 🙂
    Enjoy!

    I taught myself to crochet just this week and chose this for my first project. I used a bulky yarn instead of using 4 separate yarns. It was so easy and turned out great! Thank you for the east to follow pattern.

    I've made three of these this month - it's been fun to mix and match different thinner yarns into fun combos to make these chunky scarves ready to send off to family and friends in the Northern Hemisphere for Christmas! Thanks for the super easy tutorial to follow!! :)

    Thank you for the easy tutorial - made it using 4 strands but it has turned out quite heavy and stiff - just a feedback in case someone wants a more drapey scarf. It's also rather bulky to pack for travel.

    Best tip for newbies - pull the yarn end from the center of your yarn ball not the yarn end on the outside!
    If you pull from the center the yarn won’t roll around, if you are pulling the yarn from the outside your yarn will roll around and it gets very annoying.

    Great tutorial! I started making this tonight using chunky yarn 😊 any tips for if you run out of yarn and need to start on a new ball of yarn? How do I do that in a pretty way?

    • @Katieree
      @Katieree  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Michaela,
      I just join new yarn the way I would any other time 😊 by tying a knot and leaving a tail to sew in at the end. If you’re changing colours I recommend doing this at the beginning of a new row!
      Thanks for watching 🥰

    Very much a beginner trying to crochet this scarf. Why is it mine does seem straight vertically and has a slight curve to it?

    • @Katieree
      @Katieree  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Nicole.. it sounds like your foundation chain is probably too tight. I recommend going back and completing a looser foundation chain. This should fix the problem you’re having 🙂
