      I agree with Rashmi, the turns aren’t very clear. Since they’re so crucial. I’m going to try marking the joins, but even then I’m a little confused as to what’s next, sorry 😢 xx

      I tried this, but ended up with one side looking like single crochet, and the other had more horizontal lines/bumps texture rather than diagnal.. any ideas what I did wrong? 😬

    I just finished making this for my mom for christmas this year! I only started crochet this summer and this was very easy to follow along. I think the hardest part was knowing exactly where to put the slipstitch at the end of each row. I think next time I might make it a tiny bit longer as well! It's a very pretty pattern, the baby pink yarn I chose looks great with it.

    I'm so glad I found this video! I was looking for something to do with this same yarn. I hold my yarn the same way you do, so I was happy to see someone else crochet this way. I am a relatively new crocheter, crocheting for about 6 months or so. I keep trying other ways of holding my yarn, but I always go back to that way, but using my left hand to wrap the yarn. Beautiful scarf! I look forward to trying it.

    My favorite pattern! Love it! I've made several of these and can make one in just a few hours! Only tidbit that I've noticed is that the 'fluffy clouds' are more noticeable in a single color yarn versus a multi-color yarn but I still use this pattern for both. 🔥

    One tip with long chains and to make sure it wont twist is:
    After a couple chains take your hook out, insert into the chain you will be slip stitching into (the first chain) then continue chaining until you are at the number needed and just pull your hook and working yarn through the first chain you've left your hook in. I hope this helps and makes sense I tried my best to explain! Happy crocheting! I love this piece by the way! Well done!

    • @lavenderrainbow5041
      @lavenderrainbow5041 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rachelbathurst3113 From what I know, a woman's head is 20-22". Bc a headband would stretch a little bit, I would make a chain about 20". If you know the size of the persons head that you are making it for, just make the length of the chain a few chains shorter than the actual circumference. Then proceed with your pattern :) You can also Google "average head circumference" & you will get a ton of info, that way you make this for children as well. Look at the head circumference charts in the images section of google.

    My chain was not twisted but after the first half stitch row my ends aren’t adding up, they don’t connect one is at the top and one is at the bottom 😔

      Mine did the same. I just put the 'twisted part' back up to where it was supposed to be & continued on with the pattern. It worked out fine :)

      Hi! After you finish your foundation chain, don't join to the first ch. Just. ch.1 turn your work and complete the pattern.

    Need your help .. I started the scarf but I'm doing something wrong , because when I join after each round it's looking pointy instead of straight joint .. it looks like an arrow pointing up ( ∆ ) like this symbol... Please help I'm making it for a Christmas gift and I'm running out of time 😬😬

      Hi! It seems like you may be making your joining slip stitch too tight. Sometimes that causes it.

    I'm getting very confused at the joining of round 1 to round 2. I'm doing a slip stitch to jointge end of the row to the first stitch of the new row, chaining one and then turning and doing another ss? Where? Into the chain? It says ss into the same stitch, the same stitch as what? I'm doing what I think you're doing but it's not working out for me at all :(

    • @croydencrochet
      @croydencrochet  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you are going to ss into the same st as your join. This is the same st as the beginning st of the round. Make sure you are counting your stitches as well. Hope this helps!

      @missterwriter 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@croydencrochet Thanks so much for your reply. I'm still confused ...sorry! When I do my 121 sc around, and I am being careful with my count, I finish my 121st sc and then ch 1, turn, *away* from my ss! For me to ss into the ss join, I'd be crocheting backwards or let to right if that makes sense?
      Also, in the video, it looks like you're ss-ing before and after you turn whereas the written patten only mentions a ss after the turn....

      You may have possibly had your starting chain twisted when joining to first sc of the chain.
