The Japanese metal/rock scene is the best in the world currently, especially the all female groups (Lovebites, Nemophila, Band-Maid Hanabie & others). They are the best metal band tpday IMO. Elite musicians and an elite singer. The 2 guitarists, Midori & Miyako, are the best duo I've seen in 50 yrs of listening to metal. Dive deeper, they never disappoint.
About the dresses. When Lovebites was touring Europe opening for Dragonforce a French metal mag interviewed Asami (singer) about that. Her response was, "We're girls, we don't want to dress like boys. Also, we are all small and the white and gold makes it easier to see us on stage." And they are small, they range from 4' 9" to 5' 2". Prior to auditioning for Lovebites Asami had not even listened to Metal music, she comes from the R&B world. She has even studied in the US for a time. Also, welcome to the deepest rabbit hole in music. Ok, reaction suggestions, Japanese all female bands: Band Maid - Real Existence They are a Hard Rock band not metal, per se. Nemophila - Dissension Full on metal band. Hanabie (ha-na-bee-eh) - We Love Sweets Metalcore band, you haven't lived until you have had Japanese women scream at you about how much they love pastries. Bridear - Light In The Dark Power metal band DOLL$BOXX - Take My Chance Hard Rock Non all female Japanese bands: MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - Yoshu Fukushu VERY influential band in Japan, called the System Of A Down of Japan. Unlucky Morpheus - CADAVER/REVADAC They play the song CADAVER then play it backwards note for note REVADAC, they have a heavy metal violinist who also does Van Halen covers Yōsei Teikoku (Fairy Kingdom) - Astral Dogma Goth metal GALNERYUS - Angel Of Salvation (Live) Full on symphonic metal Wagakki band - senbonzakura(1,000 cherry blossoms) Hard Rock, they play with both "Western" instruments and traditional Japanese instruments. We are just skimming the top with those suggestions. Oh! Did you know India has metal bands? Look up Bloodywood and their song, Aaj. They are an Indian Folk Metal band, don't worry, they sing in both Hindi and English.
Lovebites placed #15 in Metal Hammer’s top album of 2023. In 2018 they were selected as best new Metal band. Asami sings in English. Haruna (4’9”) has earned her place as one of the top Power Metal drummers. As for Miyako and Midori on guitar and young Fami on bass, well… you be the judge! Love your reaction. 🤘
Just so they don’t get confused this is their former bassist Miho in this video, who left the band. Fami joined through an extensive audition during COVID.
LOVEBITES is one of the more prominent bands that arose from the ashes of a previous group called Destrose. Destrose had a lot of members, all women, come and go during the band's lifetime, though Destrose doesn't have much live or studio content out there. Miho, the third and final bass guitarist for Destrose, and Haruna, the third of four of Destrose's drummers, got together once Destrose finally called it quits and began putting together a new band. They knew guitarist Midori (the blonde) and guitarist/pianist Miyako (the brunette) from the Japanese music festival scene, and since Midori's group Gekijo☆METALicche and Miyako's group A Drop of Joker both broke up in 2016, they were free to join what would become LOVEBITES. it is worth noting that Miyako was originally considered a support member and not a full member, likely because she was still in another group called 21g (21 grams), and went by the stage name Mi-Ya. The last addition to the group was vocalist Asami. Asami had a solo career that wasn't going anywhere, though she was singing live vocals for a number of different artists, something she still does. She wanted a change, so she released a demo of herself singing "Love Bites (So Do I)" by Halestorm. That demo found its way to Miho, the band auditioned her, and Asami was in. They named themselves after that song as it's the first one they all performed together, and the rest is history. For their first show there was a third guitarist, Sena, who I've been told switched out with Miyako during the set, but that was her only appearance with LB. I don't know much about her, though I had heard some of her solo/demo work and she can play. Miyako dropped the Mi-Ya stage name and became a permanent member. Her other band, 21g, split up in 2019 and she briefly was involved in a duo called Sonic Lover Reckless. SLR released one EP of three songs, one of which has a music video, but they quietly disappeared as soon as they appeared. In August of 2021, Miho shocked the fans and left the band for reasons that have yet to be revealed and likely never will be. The band immediately went on hiatus, Miyako and Asami both got married and had children, and Midori started competing in fitness model competitions. The four remaining members announced the end of their hiatus by releasing an instrumental track where bass players from around the world were encouraged to write their own bass track and submit a video playing it. I made an attempt using harmonics and tapping along with standard finger plucking, nut I wasn't contacted to fly to Japan for the second of three stages of the audition process. The winner of the position was Fami, a highly-skilled young lady who seems to have rejuvenated the band. LOVEBITES is _finally_ making their American debut in September of 2024, though whether that's a one-time thing or part of a larger tour, we currently don't know. I think that's everything. Thanks for taking a look at one of my favorite groups.
Welcome to Lovebites, Wolfpack UK 🐺 here, these ladies really are Goddesses of Metal, their is a journey to be had with these sublimely talented ladies. Their live shows are incendiary and come with a great sense of vigor and enthusiasm they never disappoint. Awesome review 🤘🎸🥁🎤🎹🎶🔥🤯
Thank you for reacting to "lovebites" 😊 I'm sure you all felt the power and passion of Japanese girl bands. We will continue to support your channel from Japan. Thank you so much 😊
Nice to meet you from Japan. I am sure you are both surprised at the response to LOVEBITES. The band boom in Japan started with the Beatles' concert in Japan half a century ago. Many of them were motivated by the impure desire to "attract girls," but after several band booms, there are now more than 100 female bands alone. One of the most representative groups is LOVEBITES. The members of LOVEBITES wear white feminine stage costumes, which was not possible in the metal scene up to that time. This costume ran the risk of not being accepted by their surroundings and becoming isolated. Nevertheless, they dared to choose this costume because they did not want to be bound by the stereotypes of metal and were determined to "do what we want to do, even if it means being a lone wolf. And they made the "wolf" the symbol of the band.
Wlcome to Lovebites...The Wolfpack salute you¡¡ Lovebites are: Asami: Vocals Midori Tatematsu: Lead guitar ESP guitar (also national competitor of body building in Japan) Miyako Watanabe: Lead guitar Dean guitar (composer and pianist) Haruna: Drums Rossana Miho: Bass until 2021 Fami: She is the new bassist since 2022 My recommendations: Signs of deliverance, The burden of time, Stand and deliver (shoot'em down), Hammer of Wrath, Nameless Warrior...to start.. Regards from Chile¡
Welcome to substantially the Best metal band in the world! This watching is just for your entrance to the Lovebites castle. In their 60+ songs, there is no waste one. They write lyrics in English, composes, arranges and performs. They have started this personally in 2016 with the strong belief that female can do metal! They do it without losing feminine side , not going with the same leather, tattoo, scary face and posture of madness as male metal band tend to do. Anothe very different surprises I can guarantee at Swan song with Chopin intro, Break the Wall, Frozen Serenade, Liar, Edge of theWorld,,,,I stop at this point, as this will become endless. All live ones please. Welcome to the Wolf pack!
The singer is Asami, she plays piano, studies ballet, and she is the one who mostly translates the lyrics from Japanese to English. The drummer is Haruna, the great little machine, she mostly plays offbeat. Bassist Miho, she is the metalhead, founder along with Haruna of the band and composer of some songs, Midori, the blonde, guitarist, acoustic guitar, piano, Miyako the one with black hair, lyrics and music, classical piano concert performer, keyboard.
The only band that has zero album fillers in 4 studio albums. Best band this 64 year old has ever seen and heard. I can’t really say any more than that. They’re the best. End of discussion.
welcome to LOVEBITES, these Ladies are friggin amazing, pick a song, any song, doesn't matter as there are no bad songs, music is great, lyrics are great, videos are great, LIVE is even better, so come down the rabbit hole that is LOVEBITES, I believe you'll really enjoy these Ladies....👍👍🤘🤘

Judgement Day or Hammer of Wrath live next. Wait until you REALLY experience Asami's voice! The one and only 4' 10" voice...backed by amazing musicians. Including 4' 9" Thunder Goddess herself, Haruna, on drums! Midori (blonde) and Miyako on guitars (aka M&M), and new bassist Fami. Miho was original bassist until 2021. Fami joined in Oct 2022. Great reaction, look forward to more! 🤘
Welcome to the realm of the Wolfpack (Lovebites fans from around the world) ! These amazing ladies play a seamless and innovative blend of multiple metal/rock genres & sub-genres. The band has a catalogue of about 60 original songs and all of them are in English (except for one). As you have just witnessed, Lovebites is phenomenal LIVE ! Here is a thrashier track from a more recent concert - "The Hammer of Wrath" : th-cam.com/video/pHrWRT0Jeac/w-d-xo.html .
The two guitarists Miyako and Midori put on a clinic in every song..."I'm selling all my guitars" is a common statement made by guitarists who react to Lovebites 😂
Great reaction folks. Please continuing down to the rabbit hole. This band has no peer and no bad song. These ladies are world class talents and they are taking heavy metal to another level.
They named the band after the Grammy winning song Love Bites (So Do I) by Halestorm. Lead singer , Asami, has joined Lzzy and the boys at 2019 Download to perform that song. Yes , they sing in English, and are awesome live. Miyako and Midori (blond pony tail) are IMO 2 of the best guitarists today. Haruna is an absolute beast on drums. Original bassist and co-founder , Miho, is seen here. She left in 2021. Fami joined on bass in Oct 2022. All are between 4'9" and 5'2". Some songs lean towards power metal, some lean towards thrash, plus some ballads. 4 full albums and60+ songs to choose from. More to check out: Thunder Vengeance, Break the Wall, and Swan Song from this same concert. On Swan song Miyako plays a Chopin intro on piano. And to see Fami, from the 2023 Knocking on Heaven's Gate show: Hammer of Wrath, Stand and Deliver(Shoot 'em Down) , and Judgement Day.
actually they released Swan Song yesterday but it was without the Chopin Intro for that version they will need this link Swan Song with Chopin Piano Intro th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html
yep that just happened...this is by far the most talented band in rock/metal - as songwriters, instrumentalists, performers this band is the gold standard and they continue raising the bar with every release...do yourselves a favour and have a deep dive (60 songs) there is so much spectacular stuff to discover -you won´t regret it !!!

On the three tapping parts during the first 2 verses, the filming of this version may make it seem like they each take a turn doing it individually, but other versions make clear all three times its actually all 3 of them doing it in unison.
And the scariest thing is that both guitarists - Midori & Miyako didn't start playing guitar until they were about 19 years old and even more frightening Miyako ( long dark hair ) is SELF TAUGHT !
All their songs except one are in complete English. The lead singer pronunciation has gotten better in the last 2 years but all their songs are English.
Yes the vocals are in English. I believe the songs are written in Japanese and then translated into English. I have been a Rock/Metal fan for 60 years and I honestly think Lovebites are one of, if not the best, bands I have had the privilege of hearing. Every member of the band is at the top of her game, and the way they work together is awesome. Would love to see them live if they ever come to the UK again.

Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later. They did their first live performances in more than two years in summer of 2023, with their new bassist Fami. Their very first show was commemorated on the DVD “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate”. They have posted four performances from that DVD-“”Hammer of Wrath”, “Judgement Day”, “Nameless Warrior” and “Liar”. All of them are barn-burners. They have also posted “Stand and Deliver” from the second concert. Some background: They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing. In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” th-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/w-d-xo.html The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band." Here are more clips you should check out: “Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”. “Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, from the same concert; "Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope. Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html; Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html; And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”:which you just watched. Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. She is self-taught on the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude” (official name Étude Opus 10, No. 12 in C minor). Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: th-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/w-d-xo.html. For a thrasher with heavy Slayer and Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M. For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both) While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular: "Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world "When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html "Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html "Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html. Finally, the audio tracks of some of the new album are up on youtube, and worth checking out. The band clearly came out swinging and wanted to make a statement. Every song on the album is a showcase of their incredible talent and songwriting capabilities. “Stand and Deliver” is a thrasher with a fun video of them in the studio. “Soldier Stands Solitarily”, the final song on the album, is being touted by some as the best thing they’ve done so far-I encourage you to see and decide for yourself! You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!
Nice reaction video Jordan and Amanda. Please check out their songs: Raise Some Hell, Dancing with the Devil, Break the Wall, Hammer of Wrath, etc....... all live of course.

Always happy to see new people finding the Japanese metal scene. I'm sure you're already swimming in suggestions, but here is a list of Japanese bands (with a personal favourite aong of mine 😊) that are all brilliant and eveybody should be listening too: Band-Maid - Blooming Nemophila - Adabana Hanabie - Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now Gacharic Spin - Replica Dimrays - Fr Sokoninaru - Gou Ni Moyu Broken By The Scream - Sayaonara Birthday Passcode - Freely East Of Eden - Evolve (extended version) That's just what I can think of from what I've been listening too recently, various styles and levels of heavy in there, mostly all female bands, with a couple of exceptions. Hope you find the time 🤘👍
Well, you’ve just witnessed greatness. These women are extremely talented, skillful, and exceptional versatile musicians. Their live performances are outstanding. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Judas Priest, Slayer, Megadeth, Angra, Yngwie Malmsteen, Deep Purple, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they are redefining metal. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined the band. Miyako is also a concert level classical pianist. Miho (ex bassist and founder of the band, who left in August 2021) said in an interview that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. My next suggestion is “The hammer of wrath” (live, 2023)

Helloooo. You have just reacted to one of the most talented bands I have ever seen in my life. These girls are going to amaze you, again and again. I suggest you some more song from LOVEBITES, "Epilogue" one of the metal ballads most beautifuls in the history."Swan song + intro Chopin" and "Edge of the world" mixes heavy with a piano. "A frozen serenade" a story made metal."Set to the world on fire" "Bravehearted"" Shadowmaker"" The crusade"" Raise some hell"" Break the wall", powerful songs, but very well constructed
Very good reaction. Holy War is an excellent starter song for Lovebites. You can't go wrong with this bands best live performances. 2019 Daughters of the Dawn - Shadowmaker - Empty Daydream - Journey to the Other Side - Epilogue 2020 Five of a Kind Highlights - Thunder Vengeance - Dancing with the Devil - Piano Etude Op.10 No. 12/Swan Song - Edge of the World 2021 Heavy Metal Never Dies (last performance with founding member and original bassist Miho) Highlights - Set the World on Fire - Breaking the Wall - A Frozen Serenade 2023 Knockin' at Heaven's Gate (first live performance with new bassist Fami) - Glory to the World - Judgement Day 2023 Knockin' at Heaven's Gate -- Part II - Under the Red Sky - We the United Official Music Videos When Destinies Align Winds of Transylvania Stand and Deliver (Shoot 'em Down)
All English, try using translator when available. Keep up with this band. Been following for 4 years and never a disappointment. Burden of Time live in studio or Thunder Vengeance are awesome.
Welcome to the world of Lovebites music! This band is just perfect. Of course, I am a fan, so I feel that this band is one of the best in the world. All members are professionals in their instruments! They always wear white costumes (almost always) and high heels. They always play these amazing long guitar solos and almost always these are duoling solos! If you want more, you can check their live video "Set the world on fire" or "Hammer of Wrath" on their official TH-cam channel! But anyway - you can choose any of their songs - they are all great :) Thank you for the reaction! More Lovebites on the channel! And welcome to the WolfPack! And if you are interested in more all-female bands from Japan, try watching BAND-MAID with the live video “Domination”, the group Nemophila with the music video “Dissension” (not US version) and the group Hanabie with the music video “We love sweets”. You'll be amazed!
Hi new to channel. Great choice. Japan has some of the best METAL BANDS AROUND TODAY. It just so happens most are Female. And honestly are better than most so called metal gods. NEMOPHILA are another must.
Thank you for nice reaction. I recommend studio Live - Scream For Me th-cam.com/video/46z-13l2oNs/w-d-xo.html another recommend Live / "Set The World On Fire"[ Ride For Vengeance Tour 2021] th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html Glory To The World [MUSIC VIDEO] th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html "HEAVY METAL NEVER DIES - LIVE IN TOKYO 2021" Trailer th-cam.com/video/r213R5QYSOg/w-d-xo.html
Besides Lovebites, the rock scene in Japan is huge. I noticed that you prefer heavy metal, but take your time to watch and listen to: Band Maid, Gacharic Spin, East of Eden and Wagakki Band - Perhaps Nemophila will be more of your taste and Hanabie. Have a go. They all have brilliant LIVE videos. Ok, note East of Eden, they just released their first MV four months ago.
The band we'd wish was playing at our prom night, right? Best metal band of this era, period. Trust the suggenstions of the Wolfpack, this band is the best rabbithole to explore the coming weeks!
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘no dude she was correct all the songs are in English the accent shows through some times but it is English and as a guitarist myself i feel your pain lol i wanted to sell all my guitars too after hearing Miyako and Midori play for the first time lol now i just let them inspire me to get better
Great reaction folks. Congrats, you've just ran into monsters covered with angelic skin Yes, the singer is singing in English with a very thick accent. There are many cross over fans of Nightwish and Lovebites, got surprised with her low and strong voice not like an Anime voice, but the singer Asami's got her R&B background.....she actually was brought up as a ballerina. If you want to meet Asami's R&B soulful side, try ballady Edge of the World th-cam.com/video/UZjxMjBop7w/w-d-xo.html, or the most audibly and visually beautiful performance with surprises A Frozen Serenade th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html. Enjoy your journey. BTW, did you notice the bassist did one hand tapping on her bass. That is pretty unusual.
You have to see and try to react some more beautiful song from this band... chopin intro Swan song or Frozen serenade.. It's awesome and more beautiful song..i bet you like it.. please try
Now you got to react to the original modern all Female Japanese heavy metal since the 1980s. Do Aldious Sweet Temptation music video. These girls started the whole trend. There were others before but they were the first to succeed at it.
Welcome to the Lovebites rabbit hole! So much to discover.. 60+ killer songs. All lyrics are in English. Try “Liar” live or “Swan Song w/Chopin intro” live. But whatever you pick will destroy 🤘
Welcome & thanks from Japan 有難う💛。 Lovebites is one of the best bands in our country. Their live performance is much better than MVs. We say "Japan is the country obsessed by Rock Music". The history is very long and the obsession started in 1966 when Beatles visited Japan and held 5 concerts at Budokan. Speaking of hard rock / heavy metal music, a number of bands started to come to Japan since as early as 1970s : Led Zeppelin / Grand Funk Railroad (1971), Deep Purple (1972), Queen (1975), Kiss (1977), Cheap Trick / Van Halen / Scorpions (1978), Judas Priest (1978/79) and so on. Now, any type of rock can be enjoyed here, especially by many all-female or women-fronted bands. They are daughters of American / European rock, for sure. (Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.) Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz". It had started earlier than rock 😄
This is sort of the starting point for them for new listeners. This is a good song but I think they have others that are better. I literally have not heard one song I did not like by them.
Best metal band in the world! Welcome to the Wolfpack! These ladies will impress you endlessly. Every, single, song. They're amazing, and they have quite a range of metal they play. You should check out some more. My favorite band of all time. I came to them after Nightwish and I love Nightwish also, but Lovebites is the most amazing band I have ever heard. A few others from this show are great: Thunder Vengeance and Break the Wall from this show are favorites. From 2023 check out Judgement Day or Hammer of Wrath. If you want to hear another side of them, maybe try one of the "E" songs - Epilogue or Edge of the World (Empty Daydream is a personal favorite). One of their masterpeices - Frozen Serenade or Swan Song (with the Chopin intro). All of that plus a bunch more. I subscribed in case you check out more. 🙂
Nightwish is symphonic metal. Metal with symphonic ingredients in other words. And for an example Bandmaid is more of a rockband with metal influences. Lovebites plays basicly powermetal. Sometimes with trash influences. And in some songs rock and in some one of the guitarists plays classical piano. But their main focus I would say is powermetal. As in the older brittish metal bands and other European bands. Like Iron maiden, Judas priest etc. And among BattleBeast, and Unleash the Archers they are one of the best in their genre in our current time.
Japanese HR/HM scene is a pretty deep rabbit hole. Here's a beginner's list for you: Destrose (Formed in 2006 as Destroya...changed their name to Destrose in 2007 and started the current all-female metal bands boom in Japan! Disbanded in 2015. You'll see "Destrose" a lot in this list!) Aldious (The veterans of the bunch, formed in 2008. Can play anything from pop-rock to full-on thrash metal!) Fate Gear (Formed in 2015 by Destrose founding member Mina) Lovebites (Formed by ex-Destrose members Rosana Miho & drummer Haruna in 2016) Nemophila (Super group formed by ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu, ex-Mary's Blood/Destrose guitarist Saki, ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki, ex-Soramimi drummer Tamu and ex-Holderlings bassist Haraguchi-san) Hagane (Formed in 2019 featuring two of the youngest gunslingers around, Sakura & Mayto. Currently on hiatus.) Bridear (Another veteran group, formed in 2011. Already toured Europe 6 times! BTW, like Iron Maiden, they have a monster mascot named The Bride! Check out their song "Bloody Bride - Live"!) Hanabie (I'm not gonna say anything about this group other than DROP WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING AND GO CHECK THEM OUT RIGHT NOW, especially the song "We Love Sweets"!) D_Drive (Instrumental hard rock/heavy metal. Everyone in this band is a virtuoso.) Asterism (Read "D_Drive". Their guitarist, Hal-ca, is only 21 yo! The band have been together since she was 12-13!) Ark Royal (Young heavy metal/thrash metal band formed 4 years ago. Picking up fans by the minute!) Unlucky Morpheus (Another veteran group. Should've been headlining European festivals a long time ago! Best female vocalist in Japan, Fuki.) Galneryus (Power metal freaks! Think Dragonforce but better.) Mardelas (Band formed by former Destrose vocalist Marina Hebiishi - monster pipes!) Band-Maid (Best rock band in the world right now IMO!) Octaviagrace (Featuring another ex-Destrose guitarist named Hanako...as good as Yngwie but prettier!) Trident (young all-female power trio; Japan's "hold-my-beer" to Canada's Rush/Triumph!) Gone but not forgotten (no longer active): X-Japan (THE Japanese metal band!) Mary's Blood (formed in 2009, a year after Destrose initial split by former members.) Telecide (This band had a lot of potential. Drummer Natsumi is now in Bridear. Just released a live video of her drum solo in tribute to legendary drummer Cozy Powell.) Doll$Boxx (A collaboration between members of the pop-rock band Gacharic Spin [check them out also!] and Lightbringer/Unlucky Morpheus vocalist Fuki.) Just announced their comeback next year! Disqualia (formed by ex-Destrose members after their second and final split) Lightbringer The Uncrowned Sabbat Cyntia Galhammer (All-female punk/thrash/death/black metal band.) Necronomidol (It's like the Spice Girls of black metal!) The Classics (all of these bands were formed in the 80's and are still around kicking ass!): Show-ya (all-female heavy metal band formed in 1981.) Loudness (Most popular metal band out of Japan.) Ningen Isu (Think Black Sabbath-meets-Opeth.) Anthem 44 Magnum Sex Machineguns (Decided to go with "Machineguns" because they are heavier than the Sex Pistols...their words!) Other popular bands: Hell Freezes Over (80's thrash metal...band formed in 2013) United (another bad-ass thrash metal band) Galmet (all-female thrash metal band) Broken By The Scream Passcode Saiseiga
Uh oh... you found Lovebites! Now the wolfpack will invade your channel! 😆
Love Miyako and Midori too!!!🎸🔥🎸🔥
what to say ???????nemophila and maids C-class??????? what tosay, hanabie H-class. lovebites ssss-class. out of the question.
Absolutely yezzz
Agree 200%❤😂
Äh no
About the dresses.
Ok, reaction suggestions, Japanese all female bands:
Band Maid - Real Existence They are a Hard Rock band not metal, per se.
Nemophila - Dissension Full on metal band.
Hanabie (ha-na-bee-eh) - We Love Sweets Metalcore band, you haven't lived until you have had Japanese women scream at you about how much they love pastries.
Bridear - Light In The Dark Power metal band
DOLL$BOXX - Take My Chance Hard Rock
Non all female Japanese bands:
MAXIMUM THE HORMONE - Yoshu Fukushu VERY influential band in Japan, called the System Of A Down of Japan.
Unlucky Morpheus - CADAVER/REVADAC They play the song CADAVER then play it backwards note for note REVADAC, they have a heavy metal violinist who also does Van Halen covers
Yōsei Teikoku (Fairy Kingdom) - Astral Dogma Goth metal
GALNERYUS - Angel Of Salvation (Live) Full on symphonic metal
Wagakki band - senbonzakura(1,000 cherry blossoms) Hard Rock, they play with both "Western" instruments and traditional Japanese instruments.
We are just skimming the top with those suggestions.
Oh! Did you know India has metal bands? Look up Bloodywood and their song, Aaj. They are an Indian Folk Metal band, don't worry, they sing in both Hindi and English.
They sing in english, all their songs are in english, only one song was in japanese compose by the drummer, but they also translate it into english
@@RobinC63 yeah of course you’re right. I have just become so enamored with young Fami and her big grin I wasn’t thinking 😊🤘🎶
Well written!
welcome to the wolfpack. you have now found the best metal band in the world!!! enjoy the ride. NO BAD SONGS!!!!!!!!!!
Best current metal band! Of any gender!

These ladies are incredible. I hope you do more of them. So much talent in one band. Now do their song "Judgement Day" next.
Welcome and thank you for doing this reaction to the best metal band ever LOVEBITES "
... and then the Gods of Heavy Metal send their most beautyfull and talented Angels down to Earth...
Considering what there in to ....this is a suprise
Thus the fandom of LOVEBITES are called the WOLFPACK 🐺
Now you know, you know!😂
Welcome to the Wolfpack❣
🙏🤘🐺🤘🐺🤘🐺🤘🐺🤘🐺🤘❣
Wlcome to Lovebites...The Wolfpack salute you¡¡
Lovebites are:
Asami: Vocals
Midori Tatematsu: Lead guitar ESP guitar (also national competitor of body building in Japan)
Miyako Watanabe: Lead guitar Dean guitar (composer and pianist)
Haruna: Drums
Rossana Miho: Bass until 2021
Fami: She is the new bassist since 2022
My recommendations: Signs of deliverance, The burden of time, Stand and deliver (shoot'em down), Hammer of Wrath, Nameless Warrior...to start..
Wolfpack is here!!!🤘🐺🤘
The only band that has zero album fillers in 4 studio albums.
Their lyrics are completely in English. Only exception is an older version of the song „Bravehearted“
Tip of the iceberg they are the best band Swan Song with Chopin intro is a must
Current live schedule for next year: June 22th, 2024: Cartagena, Spain (Rock Imperium Festival) June 26th-29th, 2024: Vivero, Lugo, Spain (Resurrection Fest XIX) June 28th, 2024: Clisson, France (Hellfest 2024) September 1st, 2024: Tokyo, Japan (Tokyo Garden Theater) September 6th, 2024: Atlanta, Georgia, USA (ProgPower USA XXIII)
Superb band, hope you continue to check out lots more of their music....you will not be disappointed!!
LOVEBITES never disampointed in their live performances. Btw nice reaction. Greeting from Jogja, Indonesia.
Lovebites Amazing Musicians, next one Judgement day. A Frozen Serenade Masterpiece for me, grettings from Chile.
my favorire speed metal band !
yep that just happened...this is by far the most talented band in rock/metal - as songwriters, instrumentalists, performers this band is the gold standard and they continue raising the bar with every release...do yourselves a favour and have a deep dive (60 songs) there is so much spectacular stuff to discover -you won´t regret it !!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏Do more LOVEBITES. Swan Song with a chopin intro from the same live show is a must see.
Swan Song 2023 is insane. Asami's vocals are epic.
Thank you for reacting to Lovebites..Queens of Metal..60+ songs of amazement should you continue.. please check out their recent release of Hammer of Wrath.. Liar.. Nameless Warrior... Some excellent past songs..Thunder Vengeance..Break the Wall.. MDO.. all live..
Thanks for the reaction! The queens of heavy metal don't have one weak song. Here are some suggestions:

To be honest, you can pick any song by Lovebites and you will not regret it.
This is just the beginning. They have more than 20 songs to analyze and enjoy, from the best metal band today, live much better, alive in 2020, 2021 and/or 2023 with their new bassist Fami. The vocalist comes from r&b.

LOVEBITES - Holy War lyrics:
Look at those black clouds, it’s going to rain blood
People live in fear, covered in mud
Singing oh Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
There is a thousand, a thousand of evils
Hush, do not wake up Satan’s devils
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
SOLO: midori
Kingdom of Heaven, never shall we fall
Reincarnation, wait for your call
Singing oh, Gloria to change the prophecy
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for sisters
Morning star and dying moon
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Mighty soul, let there be hope
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
Stand up in the name of the God of heavy metal
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war
SOLO: miyako / midori / both
Singing Hallelujah to save our majesty
We are the metal warriors
Fighting the darkness for brothers
Shining blade and burning heart
Into the Gates of Hell we march
Immortal soul, let there be light
Into the Eye of Heaven
Eagles at a holy war
Fly higher than the sun
We are one for all and all for one forevermore
What do we live for? What do we fight for, tonight?
But the world is beautiful, worth fighting for
Only have one thing on our mind
Facing the fate, holy war

On the three tapping parts during the first 2 verses, the filming of this version may make it seem like they each take a turn doing it individually, but other versions make clear all three times its actually all 3 of them doing it in unison.
They are Queens of Metal!!!🎸🔥🎸🔥👏👏👏😎❤️❤️
As you mentioned Arch Enemy, LOVEBITES were the opening act for two Arch Enemy concerts in China 2019 IIRC.
I thought they were opening act at Arch Enemy concert in China 2019.. and it's appear in Nameless Warrior MV that they at Great Wall of China...
@@reddnizz2231 I think, you're right!
Japan has dozens of all female and female led bands
Hundreds!
And the scariest thing is that both guitarists - Midori & Miyako didn't start playing guitar until they were about 19 years old and even more frightening Miyako ( long dark hair ) is SELF TAUGHT !
The power metal queen from japan.💖🎶⚡☝🏻🤘🏼👍✨🌠🌟
This is how you discover Lovebites!
Old headbanger here. These ladies for me the best metal band yoday
All their songs except one are in complete English. The lead singer pronunciation has gotten better in the last 2 years but all their songs are English.
🤟🏻🔥LOVEBITES🐺PERFECTION🔥🤘🏻
These are The Heavy Metal Heavyweight Champions of the World 🤘🔥🤘
U may just imagine anythings...LOVEBITES have it all..

This is an overview of LOVEBITES 55 self-written songs and 3 (plus 6+1) covers. All of them are great, some of them real masterpieces. Not a single bad song, no mediocre songs, no fillers. Take any, and LOVEBITES won't disappoint you. They play different styles of Heavy Metal, sing in English, are masters of their instruments and are extremely talented. Enjoy your ride!
As good as LOVEBITES' music videos are, their live shows are legendary. And they've released live albums every year, especially 2019, 2020, 2021 and twice in 2023 (Part II was released TODAY!). You'll find 4 live videos of "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate" and 2 live videos (more to come) of "Knockin' At Heaven's Gate - Part II" on their TH-cam channel "LOVEBITES".
Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981).
Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” th-cam.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/w-d-xo.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc.
As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
Here are more clips you should check out:
“Set the World on Fire” th-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/w-d-xo.html from their 2021 concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
“Don’t Bite the Dust” th-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/w-d-xo.html, from the same concert;
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: th-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/w-d-xo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: th-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/w-d-xo.html;
Perhaps their greatest masterpiece, a showcase of multi-instrumental virtuosity and even classical dance “A Frozen Serenade” th-cam.com/video/Ae8pQVu-RN8/w-d-xo.html;
And their most reacted-to video, “Holy War”:which you just watched.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” th-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/w-d-xo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
While you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are four of the most spectacular:
"Shadowmaker" th-cam.com/video/Brmoln5Gxus/w-d-xo.html
This is the song that blew up and melted faces all over the world
"When Destinies Align" th-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/w-d-xo.html
"Glory to the World" th-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/w-d-xo.html
"Winds of Transylvania" th-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/w-d-xo.html.
Merci pour leur CV et les liens musicaux 🎸🎵👏🙏

Always happy to see new people finding the Japanese metal scene. I'm sure you're already swimming in suggestions, but here is a list of Japanese bands (with a personal favourite aong of mine 😊) that are all brilliant and eveybody should be listening too:
Band-Maid - Blooming
Nemophila - Adabana
Hanabie - Pardon Me, I Have To Go Now
Gacharic Spin - Replica
Dimrays - Fr
Sokoninaru - Gou Ni Moyu
Broken By The Scream - Sayaonara Birthday
Passcode - Freely
East Of Eden - Evolve (extended version)
That's just what I can think of from what I've been listening too recently, various styles and levels of heavy in there, mostly all female bands, with a couple of exceptions.
You should add Helloween and Testament to the list of influences.
Japan is filled with great bands! English or not. Lovebites, Band-Maid, Nemophila, Glim Spanky, and many many more.
NEMOPHILA、Unlucky Morpheus、sokoninaruもお勧め。

Helloooo. You have just reacted to one of the most talented bands I have ever seen in my life. These girls are going to amaze you, again and again.

If you are interested in another Lovebites reaction, I would recommend Swan Song with the Zepp Divercity Tokyo 2020 version that has the Chopin intro.
This is the beginning. Your journey has just begun. Bon voyage. ✨🥰🤘
All English, try using translator when available. Keep up with this band. Been following for 4 years and never a disappointment. Burden of Time live in studio or Thunder Vengeance are awesome.
This is older stuff. You need to check them out from their new live Knocking At Heaven's gate live show with their new bassist Fami.
But anyway - you can choose any of their songs - they are all great :)
Thank you for the reaction!
This is a old video. They have a new bassist now, Fami, and she is great.
Hi new to channel. Great choice. Japan has some of the best METAL BANDS AROUND TODAY. It just so happens most are Female. And honestly are better than most so called metal gods. NEMOPHILA are another must.
what to say ???????nemophila and maids C-class??????? what to say, hanabie H-class. lovebites ssss-class. out of the question.
Next LOVEBITES song: "Set The World On Fire" Live!
Thank you for nice reaction.

Lovebites always awesone, Keep the Metal Up
Besides Lovebites, the rock scene in Japan is huge.
Who's going to be dancing with LoveBites playing???
🐺🐺🐺🐺🐺❤❤❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘no dude she was correct all the songs are in English the accent shows through some times but it is English and as a guitarist myself i feel your pain lol i wanted to sell all my guitars too after hearing Miyako and Midori play for the first time lol now i just let them inspire me to get better
Wolfpack here visiting your channel.
It's awesome and more beautiful song..i bet you like it.. please try
Thanks check lovebite
from Tokyo
(Many are grand-daughters in terms of age.)
Uh-oh, we also say "Japan is the country obsessed by Jazz".
Thank you for your great reaction. Please look forword to it. Next year、they will take the world by storm.
You gotta play more of their songs!!!
Actually they did a song for anime - See their video: LOVEBITES / Winds Of Transylvania [VLADLOVE Version] MUSIC VIDEO
Japanese HR/HM scene is a pretty deep rabbit hole. Here's a beginner's list for you:
Destrose (Formed in 2006 as Destroya...changed their name to Destrose in 2007 and started the current all-female metal bands boom in Japan! Disbanded in 2015. You'll see "Destrose" a lot in this list!)
Aldious (The veterans of the bunch, formed in 2008. Can play anything from pop-rock to full-on thrash metal!)
Fate Gear (Formed in 2015 by Destrose founding member Mina)
Lovebites (Formed by ex-Destrose members Rosana Miho & drummer Haruna in 2016)
Nemophila (Super group formed by ex-Lipstick vocalist Mayu, ex-Mary's Blood/Destrose guitarist Saki, ex-Disqualia guitarist Hazuki, ex-Soramimi drummer Tamu and ex-Holderlings bassist Haraguchi-san)
Hagane (Formed in 2019 featuring two of the youngest gunslingers around, Sakura & Mayto. Currently on hiatus.)
Bridear (Another veteran group, formed in 2011. Already toured Europe 6 times! BTW, like Iron Maiden, they have a monster mascot named The Bride! Check out their song "Bloody Bride - Live"!)
Hanabie (I'm not gonna say anything about this group other than DROP WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING AND GO CHECK THEM OUT RIGHT NOW, especially the song "We Love Sweets"!)
D_Drive (Instrumental hard rock/heavy metal. Everyone in this band is a virtuoso.)
Asterism (Read "D_Drive". Their guitarist, Hal-ca, is only 21 yo! The band have been together since she was 12-13!)
Ark Royal (Young heavy metal/thrash metal band formed 4 years ago. Picking up fans by the minute!)
Unlucky Morpheus (Another veteran group. Should've been headlining European festivals a long time ago! Best female vocalist in Japan, Fuki.)
Galneryus (Power metal freaks! Think Dragonforce but better.)
Mardelas (Band formed by former Destrose vocalist Marina Hebiishi - monster pipes!)
Band-Maid (Best rock band in the world right now IMO!)
Octaviagrace (Featuring another ex-Destrose guitarist named Hanako...as good as Yngwie but prettier!)
Trident (young all-female power trio; Japan's "hold-my-beer" to Canada's Rush/Triumph!)
Gone but not forgotten (no longer active):
X-Japan (THE Japanese metal band!)
Mary's Blood (formed in 2009, a year after Destrose initial split by former members.)
Telecide (This band had a lot of potential. Drummer Natsumi is now in Bridear. Just released a live video of her drum solo in tribute to legendary drummer Cozy Powell.)
Doll$Boxx (A collaboration between members of the pop-rock band Gacharic Spin [check them out also!] and Lightbringer/Unlucky Morpheus vocalist Fuki.) Just announced their comeback next year!
Disqualia (formed by ex-Destrose members after their second and final split)
Lightbringer
The Uncrowned
Sabbat
Cyntia
Galhammer (All-female punk/thrash/death/black metal band.)
Necronomidol (It's like the Spice Girls of black metal!)
The Classics (all of these bands were formed in the 80's and are still around kicking ass!):
Show-ya (all-female heavy metal band formed in 1981.)
Loudness (Most popular metal band out of Japan.)
Ningen Isu (Think Black Sabbath-meets-Opeth.)
Anthem
44 Magnum
Sex Machineguns (Decided to go with "Machineguns" because they are heavier than the Sex Pistols...their words!)
Other popular bands:
Hell Freezes Over (80's thrash metal...band formed in 2013)
United (another bad-ass thrash metal band)
Galmet (all-female thrash metal band)
Broken By The Scream
Passcode
Saiseiga
