Miyako (the golden touch) was the first soloist (she is also a concert level classical pianist and is self taught on guitar) then Midori (crazy shredder)
The bassist in this song is Miho (natural born headbanger) who founded the band with Haruna (little big engine) the drummer. Fami (shiny fingers) joined the band in 2022 so anything before that features Miho.
These ladies are phenomenal they have over 60 songs in their catalogue and all are just as good as holy war.

Here some information about them:
The band was formed in 2016 by original bassist Miho and drummer Haruna. Their first EP and album came out in 2017. So far LOVEBITES have released 4 albums, some Singles/EPs and also a bunch of DVD/Blu-ray live recordings.
Back in 2018/2019 LOVEBITES have already toured in Europe, including appearances at the major metal festivals as Wacken, Download, Bloodstock, Graspop. In 2018 they also won the Metal Hammer UK Golden Gods Award for best new band.
Then came covid, their original bass player and founder Miho quit the band for personal reasons and two babies were born. After a break LOVEBITES came back with new bassist Fami and new song „Judgement Day“ in late 2022. A new album with the same title came out in February 2023.
This year in June LOVEBITES‘ first world tour starts in Europe. In September they will play their biggest headline show ever in Tokyo. After that LOVEBITES will have their US debut …

Best metal band to come along in decades. Elie musicians. The 2 guiratists (Midori & Miyako) are among the best duos I've heard ever. Miyako (Dark hair) is usually very stoic and plays effortlessly. She tends to be more melodic (& loves her wah pedal). Midori (light hair) tend to be more animated and more of a shredder. They play off each other seamlessly. Dive deeper, they just get more impressive.

In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they waited out the pandemic and searched for a new bassist, after their founder and original bassist left the band for personal reasons. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song on December 22. Their new album, “Judgement Day”, was released two months later.
They did their first live performances in more than two years in summer of 2023, with their new bassist Fami. Their very first show was commemorated on the DVD “Knocking on Heaven’s Gate”. They have posted four performances from that DVD:

Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They went on hiatus while they searched for a new bassist, and during that time, two of them had babies, even as the band were writing and rehearsing their new album. They recently announced the new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

I've been following Lovebites since November 2017. They are playing some gigs and festivals in Europe in June and July this year. Luckily I have tickets to their two gigs in London, one in 350 capacity venue and the other in a 600 capacity venue. Can't wait see them from so close up.

This band has so much talent it should be illegal. I humbly suggest Break The Wall live from this same concert. It has two very different guitar soloes and is awesome thrash metal. Or also from this concert Swan Song with Chopin intro. You will see and hear the dark-haired guitarist (Miyako) shred on the piano. This group will never disappoint as their motto should be "all thriller, no filler". Enjoy this rabbit hole.

Welcome to Lovebites! Best metal band on the planet and one of the best guitar duos in the world! My opinion, but give it some time and check out some more of what they do and decide. They're my favorite band. So the first guitarist was Miyako, certified genius of the band who is possibly even better on piano than on guitar. Midori is her counterpart. Golden Touch (Miyako) and Crazy Shredder (Midori). This was Miho on bass, their original bassist, before she left and Fami replaced her. An excellent bassist also. Prodigy really. Then we have Haruna on drums (amazing) and Asami on vocals (also amazing).

I've saved up some money to experience metal greatness following one of the best metal bands in the world around some of their upcoming performances in Europe this coming June. I still can hardly believe my luck that in less than a month I'll be seeing and hearing these top-of-the-league musicians live and closeup in venues that hold less than 500 people. They deserve so much better! But still not that many people seem to know about them...

She left the band after 2021. Concert from 2021 is under covid restriction, clapping hand was just allowed and Miyako our intovert meastro queen had a 4-5 month babybump. When it comes to shredding, Miyako and Midory do insane shredding in almost all songs. Now they also have their new bassist that is a super shredder. They have not really used that yet, but she joined half a year ago, so it might come. In some songs I would even say that the drummer is shredding. BTW, the blond guitarist is Midori. Of course, no one in this group really is blonde. But, Asami and Midori has dyed their hair. Asami even has blue contact lenses. The bassist in this song is the old bassist Miho.
As you could hear in this song, they play ridiculously correct live at that blinding speed. And, they also have very good sound live (almost always, there are some few that are bad) . So, I do recommend you to concentrate on live performances. Here is a list of good ones

But the streaming video with studio audio is to prefer.)

The M&M show is just the taste you need to get sucked into these insanely talented petite musicians who wear their femininity proudly but turn into metal goddesses on stage in gowns and heels. Midori and Miyako are polar opposites in personality but they practice together away from the band chasing perfection especially in their LIVE performances, which is the only way to experience this band. They have actually gotten better since this performance. No one play Thrash better LIVE than this band period.

I am in favor of more heavy metal guitar players running reaction channels on TH-cam in the future and making reaction videos to the Japanese women heavy metal bands. Very refreshing to watch my friend. Japan has developed a high culture of female shredding guitarists in recent years. Lovebites two guitar players Midori and Miyako are the best in my opinion. Others find other girls to be the best in their guild. A wonderful situation for us old rock and heavy metal freaks and music fans from all over the world.

In 2021 the founder Miho left the band for personal reasons and it went into a hiatus which lasted until the end of 2022. In the fall of 2022 they found a young fantastic bass player and in 2023 they released a new LP. The new LP reached the 5th place in the Japanese charts. Japan is the 2nd largest music market in the world and it is very rare that in these times a rock band comes so far forward.

Lovebites will blow your mind. They are my favorite current metal band. Like you, I discovered them from TH-cam reactions. Miyako is the dark haired guitar player and Midori is the blonde. They are one of the best twin guitar attacks I have ever heard. Wait until you hit the thrashier songs. I recommend Shadowmaker, Break the Wall, Set the World on Fire, Soldier Stands Solitarily. Their discography is deep and it is varied. Power metal is probably their most common, but they incorporate thrash, progressive, symphonic, neoclassical, and various other styles coming out of the new wave of British heavy metal (Maiden, Priest etc).

I say this all the time. Lovebites dosn't have a bad song. just songs you like more than others. To me, this is a very "middle of the road" song from them. It's a great song but it's sort of one of their more basic ones.

Here you have Midori (guitar stage right - second solo), Haruna (drums), Miyako (guitar stage left - first solo), Asami (vocals) and Miho (bass, now ex-bass, position now held by Fami - you'll find her in everything chronologically from 2022, the first new track with her is "Judgement Day", from the same titled album). You threw Dragonforce in by comparison, and yep they did some support gigs with Dragonforce in late 2019. You'll love these ladies as you go.. expect a variety of metal influences, although a lot of them tend to stem from the classics. Enjoy!

Holy War is an original song by LOVEBITES from the Album 'Electric Pentagram' (2020). Miho plays bass. Miho created LOVEBITES and was the band leader (2016-2021)

My friend you haven't seen hardly anything yet from Lovebites. Midori (blond - purple guitar) and Miyako (black hair, dean guitar) are among the greatest heavy metal guitarists of all time IMO. They do crazy solos in every Lovebites song. Check out "Set the World on Fire" next.
You are right It's really hard to find one great guitar player! That's why somebody said "It should be illegal to have these two in one band!" 😂 Kudos for trying to get their names on the 1st listen! As others probably mentioned in this video they had Miho on bass ( she left the band in 2021) so Fami is from 2023 and newer .They took an about 1-1,5 year break to find a new bassist (yeah they did 😂! Also Miyako and Asami was on maternity leave (yup they are metal moms!)

For your next reaction, may I recommend you listen to the greatest metal jam session ever recorded “Scream Fir Me”, the live version is just as amazing as the album, just more fun to watch! MDO live, We The United live and Set the World on Fire are also great great performances! Shadowmake and Judgement Day music vides are Effin amazing. But really you can’t go wrong with any of their songs! I’m just picking my favorites.

Thanks for reacting to Lovebites. Yes!!! They are amazing... try Shadowmaker (MV version... from early times of the band). Also Thunder vengeance and Hammer of wrath (Live versions). For a different taste (they have many nuances) try also Swan song (with the Chopin Revolutionary Étude intro played by Miyako on piano) and, after that, Frozen serenade.

Whats even more impressive is Miyako didnt start playing guitar until she was 18 and Midori didn't until around 20. Miyako has been trained in classical piano since age 3 so she already had a grasp of theory and Midor also had some other music background before guitar including piano and also brass instruments. As far as gear goes, Midori plays ESP and that guitar Miyako is playing here is a Dean with a PRS style body. She's endorsed by Dean and also has a Dean custom V and a Dimebag style model, but she also plays Gibsons ('58 Korina Futura custom shop re-issue, '58 Korina Flying V custom shop re-issue, and Les Paul).
