I love the idea of it being a mobile research science ship, they need more gameplays for those kind of ships that have been in backlog for a long time.
The coolest ship in the verse. It is a mobile space station! The modularity of this ship makes it CIGs nightmware. They still have not figured out how to make that work in CryEngine.
I can already see it as the Mobile Base for the Medrunner Org. But imagine an org with 5 Endeavors with specific tasks: 1 Science, 1 Medical, 1 Carrier, 1 Repair, and 1 Food... They only need to expand their number of Endeavors... They won't need any other ships and can supply themselves.
Give this thing a monster 6-slot combat module with capital size torpedo launchers and a good mix of gun turrets. It won't be a battleship, but it can't be ignored because of the torpedo facilities. Or a monster 6-slot carrier module carrying snub fighters. The horde of fighters you could have in something this large would be nuts.
Ah the ship that got me to Concierge. .. Master set also has two biodomes not one (so you can make the Olympic configuration). Going "all in" on this ship, if you have a master set and two extra hulls, you can have the trio Discovery, Olympic, and Hope. Also easily overlooked, with Base + 3 Fuel containers, you have a supertanker. Its original concept was two turrets - so, fundamentally, she is a "damsel in distress" that will need a dedicated escort. There was talk about having a defensive module during its launch, but fundamentally, its pure industrial and will absolutely need an escort. The modules were all symmetrical because back in the day, CIG could only make symmetrical ships. That is no longer the case, but that is why modules were "2 x 1" when yes, 6 separate module spots would be better, including ideally a 6 slot "ice hauler" full hull bulk carrier module.
I was thinking about how to arm it. And honestly, I wouldn't. Nothing more than a few emplacements around the hull that are primarily there to protect against random stuff flying through space. Talking Size 1 or 2. Just have the extra armor and shields. And give it one of the highest top-end SCM speeds, just really slow acceleration. 'Cause lets face it. Nothing less than a capitol sized Q-damp or snare should be able to inhibit something this size. It should be like a blue whale in the ocean. It has no teeth. Yet is pretty much top of the food chain. Meaning nothing feeds on it in nature. And even man thinks twice about going after it. And then thinks again.
This ship will be fun if they implement the original plans for hiring npcs. It has so much usefulness any org should have a few of them to cover all of the modules. I fully agree with the idea of single slot and 6 slot. I believe it will definitely grow in size.
This video was outstanding! Your ability to make complex topics engaging is impressive. Your hard work is truly paying off. Keep up the incredible content!
Love your videos. No hate. There are usually 1 or 2 things off. Here are the first 2 things I noticed halfway through. No hate. I watch all your vids. 1. There are no modules that take up all 6 slots (3x2) 2. The master set has 2 bio domes. It's relevant more than other mistakes bc it changes the vaulation you set on it. Keep up the hard work. Gonna watch the last 9 mins now
This is just my thoughts on this ship. The Endeavor should have 2 Capitol Power plants and 2 Capitol Shield gens, for when it's separated, so both sections retain power and defenses. This ship was the only mobile Tier 1 med bed until the Apollo concept was released.
I know peeps like Inforunners are super hyped for this, and I do have a CCU saved to this just in case, but I am doubtful this ship will ever come in even the next 5 years.
Imagine if they made modules to make it into a trade station with docking ports and trade kiosk with the ability to refuel customers and the defenses to secure it.
Really like the concept for this ship, but considering how "fast" Star Citizen progresses... it will take ages until we will finally see the Endeavor ingame.
I think the combination of land bay + hospital sounds so freakin awesome. It just makes it your own personal space station and can be your base when your cland goes into a big fight. Is it necessary? Probably not Is it fucking awesome? Definitely
The size will balloon, especially when you think of their initial statements of accommodating 2 Cutlass Reds for the medical module( before the cutlass mass increased)
Hello, I have this ship love the medical game play and can't wait to be in it. Nice video. I also rate this ship 8 but it might be better to rate it after is in game play. Awesome video.
My favourite ship in the game. The poor man's KRAKEN. Great Deep Space home base. Justifies a NAUTILUS to put a defensive mine field around it. And a hanger filled with FURIES. Hope ODYSSEY owners will be able to replace the cab with their ship. The Cab will be fun to use as a FREELANCER MAX to run cargo. Wonder how far out into deep space you can get with 3 cheap extra fuel modules attached, might have the longest range of any ship with this setup. Unfortunately, the ENDEAVOR and ORION are many years away and there are owner/early backers that probably won't live long enough to actually see them released into the PU.
Just a note: Last IAE I only saw the base ship and modules for sale. They weren't offering the variants, like the Hope. So you can still build the ships, but they might not be selling them as a kit any more. (I think they don't sell the 'tali bomber any more, so I think CIG is going in that direction.)
I'll be shocked if/when the Endeavor gets released. Astounded if it gets released in some actually useful state. CIG has a huge backlog of large JPEG only ships yet to be worked on. Distractions include the many existing ships needing their Gold pass updates alongside the work needed to implement features such as armor. Even if released I'm expecting the Endeavor will have some sprinkling of the usual maddening design choices and foibles we've gotten with near every ship since the Starfarer's FPS map interior. Hope I'm wrong, as I am awaiting the Endeavor, alongside ships like the Crucible, 600i rework. CIG's patented 'SOON' = (Undefined)
Got a blingy melted endeavor in my back pocket just waiting to get crewed. Modular mobile space station at the core of my anti-vanduul efforts, hell yes.
I'd really love to get more info on the Bio-Pod and Research lab. Ideally I want to (when crafting is out fully) produce and sell whatever resources are used in making your new body when you die. That is going to be an always in demand resource (or set) that will be fairly expensive especially in bulk. I know I am planning on tooling a character base towards this goal, but if I can boost production with the Endeavor I am absolutely glad to purchase it.
I bought the Galaxy over the Odyssey. Many people have told me to melt. However my Crusible will help with the downsides of a galaxy with medical module. This is one of the most useful ship in the game. Plus the price at the moment is amazing. Buying this ship just understand this will probably be one of the last ships to be released. It will also most likely grow. Remember this ship with some modules will be like the Hull series and you won’t be able to land. You will have to dock at a station
This is probably going to be like the BMM, where the price will skyrocket over time. _(personally I had no interest in the BMM but I wish I had bought it when it was $300!)_ So if you really really want it, buy it now. Just be prepared to wait another decade (or more) before it's fully functional.
I still think the ship is a really good buy right now. I mean look at that full medical bay for only 75 bucks that’s ridiculous. It’s huge. 😅 i’m not even in to medical gameplay, but won’t lie I might though 😂
So a full on hospital with a medical bay and a hanger to bring in the wounded. Plus probably a respawn facility. If there are docking collars for ships to dock with it, you could constantly cycle respawning soldiers to drop ships keeping up a ground conflict.
The Endevor is such a cool ship concept. Once we see more people using the Retaliator Modules and get the Galaxy, Apollo, and 600i fully in-game with people swapping their modules around, I suspect we'll get the Endevor, with at least _some_ of its modules shortly after. The Hangar module will be an option, I'm sure, though I doubt we'll be able to store/call/claim ships. If it has a Gargo Grid, you really wouldn't really need a dedicated Cargo Module. The Medical Module would be easy. The Farming and Science modules will take some more work though.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm going to buy a thousand dollar ship lol, hopefully I can still find a master set in another month cause the LTI will come in clutch for this. Also I love your upgrade ideas and really hope they add military pieces.
I like the concept if the ship. Can't wait to see it in game with NPC crew onboard. Looking at the hangar module I am wondering how this thing lands. I guess maybe only the command module front can detach and then land at LZs. Requiring a combat escort for every flight is dumb. How are you supposed to hire a player to just fly alongside and wait to do anything unless a pirate shows up. If we could hire NPC escorts that would be great. But NPC AI combat is nearly worthless.
Another ship/feature designed during the dark days of 2014-2019, where CR and the engineering team literally just said whatever fucking came to mind and promised it. Needless to say, this will be the one and only capital ship in my fleet, given its insane versatility. Its able to be a long range explorer, mobile home, small hangar, farm, fueling platform, overclocking station. research station. and much more. The even stated an option to replace the hangar tiles with cargo grid able to carry nearly 4500 SCU of cargo in only half the hanger space, making it double as an insane hauler. This ship may be the last one on the pipeline, but it's the literal embodiment of what happens when you leave CR and lead Devs unattended and let them say literally anything and promise it. The more you research into the endeavor, for its price the more you wonder WTF were they smoking, all of this before planet tech was even a feature.
It's basically a Starfleet ship. The modularity and the kind of modules available scream Starfleet. I have one in buy-back. I am not sure about it, not because of its stats, but because it remained untouched by CIG for a while now. It definitely has to have some changes. But I am optimistically curious about it. It is by now means a bad ship in design, it just depends on how it works out in the end. Especially the giant exploration dish. One thing is sure though, the one Endeavor "variant" we will all see and everyone will find useful will be the flying hospital. As part of a fleet maybe, if an org manages to not just grow big enough but also manages to keep those player numbers, if they go for big org events, a Hospital Endeaver almost becomes a must have to take along. But also the privateer or rogue Hospital roaming around the verse, a flying safe haven for the stragglers and shipwrecked. A beacon of hope among the endless darkness. - There's one set of modules I would love to see: Fury Hangars.
I call cap for that armor in misc oddesy. The only thing the scientist ships have is adaptive armor for Hazzard areas and shielding as well. With that, i see the HP pool(internal structure) is going to beefy and sheild as well.
I love modularity, this looks like it'll be a fun one some day. Genuine question as someone who currently doesn't play: why buy multiple of this ship (or any ship, really), especially if owning all the modules would theoretically allow you to tailor the ship to your goals on any given play session?
If one of your Endeavor Base ships gets caught up in a fight and you need to get it fixed/overhauled you can simply switch to the next one. Also, there is a theory that swapping out modules will take a decent amount of time to complete. If you have three different ones pre-arranged that makes it easier to swap as needed instead of waiting for the modules to complete swapping around.
Are you allowed to participate in Pirate Week since you are a ninja and are therefore in an internet blood feud with pirates? Also, a manufacture module for resupply and replacement on the frontiers.
I am fascinated by how you rated it at 9 and listed all the "potential gameplay" this jpeg may or may not have in the future. CIGs track record on making professions doesn't really suggest to me that all of that will be doable.
Can you dock a large to capital ship to it like if was like a space station with a docking extending ramp. That armour will come in very handy in Pyro with that radition and heat deflection. It is a must have for an ORG it will have to get a 10.
From what I understand, CIG has said that if they use the new metrics, it would be bigger than a Javalin, and the CIG devs looked like they didn't like that fact when they said it. Speaking of bio-domes, CIG has pictures of the ship with FOUR bio-domes (and a research module if I remember right). My plan for the ship is to have the Telescope, Science module, and extra fuel tank (a module I see them adding to many ships, especially the Carrack). I knew the telescope was going to require the Science Module but did you say it may need the Research Module also?
This ship is such a toss up. The hangar and hospital modules alone make it an interesting choice for a variety of players/orgs. I wana save up to get one for a ccu at a later date. I can't imagine it will stay 350 for long
6:39 Using logic that he showed in "freelancers" and their attempt at realism, you're looking at beefy shields to protect against the radiation and high armor to defeat the heat. Very cool stuff 10:25 Viva La BioDome With rating - you should give us a few sub categories that you break down in the "see below" part of the video - Combat Cargo Medical Fleet vs solo play Explor Repair requirements -(if attacked how much of a pain in the ass will it be to put fires out.) Etc etc.. A fright pilot doesn't need a lab but hangers - that's a different story. Etc etc.😊
6:39 Using logic that he showed in "freelancers" and their attempt at realism, you're looking at beefy shields to protect against the radiation and high armor to defeat the heat. Very cool stiff
The is one of my most debated ships. I don't know that I want to spend this much but yes, this ship will go up in price soon. It has all the game play I am interested in but we haven't seen how that game play is going to work.
This ship won’t come for a lonnnnng while, I believe CIG said it would be one of the last ones in they do so it will def change. I believe they changed it from 2 cutty reds in the hangar to 1 cutty red
The Endeavor could break easily apart since heat shielding and ballistic shielding are not the same and don't take the same number of hits until it breaks apart.
I disagree. There is no better research ship, no better science ship, no better telescope ship, no better supercollider ship, and no better medical ship.
In the past people asked for another use for the colider if overclocking wasnt a thibg and i thought a capital sized emp/intradiction ship could be cool.
Oh it's definitely getting a size increase. Just comparing the hanger to one cutty proves that
It will be the biggest ship in game if it fits the new medium sized cutlass side by side as conceived.
What if they made the hangar a double wide and called it a day?
Indeed! The odyssey cockpit is bigger on hanger Link. I bet they'll start on this in 2032
Yup, thinking 275m-300m.
They have got modules figured out. Look at the torpedo ship that they reword to change out with cargo modules
It looks amazing but I imagine them releasing this as one of the last ships in the backlog
The look on John Crew's face when anyone mentions it says it all.
Haha what does he do? @MormoGhoulking
Definately not "the only ship you'll ever need". But its certainly "the ship that can do more than any other".
This ship will be so expensive. Happy I got it for $250
Smug mode engaged 💪
Bro, You are putting in work on these videos, I really dig it and appreciate everything you're doing. Also like your vibe man. Keep up the good work!
Man, I've been longing for the Endeavor for years now. Love the Misc design, and how they tend to be more science based.
You got me with the anime. This ship needs a manufacturing module.
Ah the ship that got me to Concierge. .. Master set also has two biodomes not one (so you can make the Olympic configuration). Maybe more automatic point defense systems and rely on the escorts or customers for offence
Yes this!
I need this to be ..... longer, I want to use ALL THE THINGS
I think at 9 is a very fair rating for the ship. I understand a lot more about the ship now thanks to this video, thank you very much
I really like how it looks like with the hydroponic pods attached
This ship will be fun if they implement the original plans for hiring npcs. It has so much usefulness any org should have a few of them to cover all of the modules. I fully agree with the idea of single slot and 6 slot. I believe it will definitely grow in size.
You are so right. Would be a honor to have the Endeavor in my fleet.
1. There are no modules that take up all 6 slots (3x2)
2. The master set has 2 bio domes. It's relevant more than other mistakes bc it changes the vaulation you set on it.
Keep up the hard work. Gonna watch the last 9 mins now
Oh I thought I mentioned those things. Thanks for the catch!
It really tied the room together.
@billionaireninjas bro you crank out content so much love.
I would think that in the future there could be a 3x2 (6) slot module set-up.
Appreciate the reviews! :)
It will be massive. I cannot wait to make a base high off the ecliptic plane with it.
This is just my thoughts on this ship. The Endeavor should have 2 Capitol Power plants and 2 Capitol Shield gens, for when it's separated, so both sections retain power and defenses. This ship was the only mobile Tier 1 med bed until the Apollo concept was released.

I think exactly 5 years lol

Really like the concept for this ship, but considering how "fast" Star Citizen progresses... it will take ages until we will finally see the Endeavor ingame.
It's definitely one of the more interesting ships and like you mentioned it makes you wonder what other ships will end up like that can be modular
I cannot wait to pick up an Endeavour with the Bio-Domes.
Gives me those "Silent Running" vibes
I just stumbled across this dude a few days ago, maybe a week..
And man he's knocking them out.
Great and very helpful video.
Sub!
There is no way this ship isn't getting a size increase and that's exactly why I plan on picking one up this November as flagship for my fleet
I think the combination of land bay + hospital sounds so freakin awesome. It just makes it your own personal space station and can be your base when your cland goes into a big fight.
Is it necessary? Probably not
Is it fucking awesome?
I’m late to this video but yes capital clsss radars are coming with the Polaris

the Endeavor is going to be a beast of usefulness and potential
This has been one of my desired ships since the beginning
The only ship I'd probably buy thats over 100 USD
Buy the base model, Purchase the modules with in game cash.
The only ship you'll ever need that they likely will never finish.
Got a blingy melted endeavor in my back pocket just waiting to get crewed. Modular mobile space station at the core of my anti-vanduul efforts, hell yes.
As always , a very good review! Thank you for your hard work!
I'd really love to get more info on the Bio-Pod and Research lab. Ideally I want to (when crafting is out fully) produce and sell whatever resources are used in making your new body when you die. Or they can keep respawning in ground Ursas. Because regen has always been the strategy.
@@tafferinthedark At least until respawns get restricted back to tier 1 beds

One of my dream ships. I love the idea of this exact ship, but it's so expensive, we'll see if I get one
Just get a CCU for $10 and figure the rest out later
Release date on ship : 2032, release date on any gameplay loops for those modules: 2037
It doesn't need heavy armor to get close to a star. They will just make up a module with that big reflector that covers the belly. ☀️☂️🥵
now this one will release the day they are throwing dirt on my cold bloodless face...
I like the concept if the ship. Can't wait to see it in game with NPC crew onboard. Looking at the hangar module I am wondering how this thing lands. I guess maybe only the command module front can detach and then land at LZs.

Glad to see a great review on the Endeavor. It is one ship I am highly considering.
cant wait to see this thing in game in 14 years

Well it did specify armor in the release info.
Thanks for the entertaining review.👍
Space hospital sounds fun.
It would be hilarious if the ship prize this month would be the Endeavor for pirate purposes. 🤣
I have been in love with this ship sense the first time I layed eyes on it
MISC Endeavor! Makes you dream of what this game could be! Looking forward to Pirate Week!!!
Thanks for all the info you keep giving.
I love modularity, this looks like it'll be a fun one some day. Genuine question as someone who currently doesn't play: why buy multiple of this ship (or any ship, really), especially if owning all the modules would theoretically allow you to tailor the ship to your goals on any given play session?

Are you allowed to participate in Pirate Week since you are a ninja and are therefore in an internet blood feud with pirates? Also, a manufacture module for resupply and replacement on the frontiers.
I mean I'm a billionaire ninja so I have enough doubloons to keep the pirates out of my busines...
I am fascinated by how you rated it at 9 and listed all the "potential gameplay" this jpeg may or may not have in the future. CIGs track record on making professions doesn't really suggest to me that all of that will be doable.
Just found this channel after following SC for so long. Great content, keep it up.
looks like a very useful ship, might have to see about getting one. thanks for the review
Can you dock a large to capital ship to it like if was like a space station with a docking extending ramp.
That armour will come in very handy in Pyro with that radition and heat deflection.
It is a must have for an ORG it will have to get a 10.
The ultimate endgame ship
I would like the ship part have a small hanger like the odyssey.
Thanks for the Information!
The only ship you will ever need...
The last ship CIG will get around to making... Probably around 2035.
🤣🤣🤣

My plan for the ship is to have the Telescope, Science module, and extra fuel tank (a module I see them adding to many ships, especially the Carrack). I knew the telescope was going to require the Science Module but did you say it may need the Research Module also?
I wish to see all these modules have a game loop already implemented.
This ship is such a toss up. The hangar and hospital modules alone make it an interesting choice for a variety of players/orgs. I wana save up to get one for a ccu at a later date. I can't imagine it will stay 350 for long
It's a great concept. Curious to see what happens to it when it grows.

Using logic that he showed in "freelancers" and their attempt at realism, you're looking at beefy shields to protect against the radiation and high armor to defeat the heat.
Very cool stuff
10:25 Viva La BioDome
With rating - you should give us a few sub categories that you break down in the "see below" part of the video -
Combat
Cargo
Medical
Fleet vs solo play
Explor
Repair requirements -(if attacked how much of a pain in the ass will it be to put fires out.)
Etc etc..
A fright pilot doesn't need a lab but hangers - that's a different story.
Etc etc.😊

Very cool stiff
I think the endeavor might get 8 slots instead of 6; perhaps becoming a longer ship like the Discovery in the fun 2001
Just for the size of the hangar, I think to take it to the IAE 2954
Easily the most interesting ship ever concepted. Had to have one, and really been thinking about picking up a second one.
I have three sooo..... Just don't become me lol
Definitely excited for this one! I’m a fan of capital ships and to see how that effects gameplay
The is one of my most debated ships. I don't know that I want to spend this much but yes, this ship will go up in price soon. It has all the game play I am interested in but we haven't seen how that game play is going to work.
$10 CCU is all it takes
They disappointed greatly with the Reclaimer, I can't believe this ship will fare any better.
This ship won’t come for a lonnnnng while, I believe CIG said it would be one of the last ones in they do so it will def change. I believe they changed it from 2 cutty reds in the hangar to 1 cutty red
This ship is insane and love the modularity of it. Not sure I would buy this with real money but hey you never know 😂
If you're not sure just buy it in game or get the $10 CCU
The Endeavor could break easily apart since heat shielding and ballistic shielding are not the same and don't take the same number of hits until it breaks apart.
Exactly why i mentioned that I agree but they could go a different route.
I have the Merchantman. Yah, I know it won't be finished for another decade if we are lucky). Would this be a decent purchase?
I do love your energy
Left a comment on at least one video 👍🏻. I doubt I’ll win but hey who knows.
I think as a mobile space station, it would be great. Mostly though...if not a farm. There are better ship for everything else.
I disagree. There is no better research ship, no better science ship, no better telescope ship, no better supercollider ship, and no better medical ship.
@@billionaireninjas maybe I'll change my mind when it's in game. I think the Carrack will be the perfect ship when modules come into play.
Man, if they deliver on the carrack modules, I think a lot of people will be hype!
Looking to upgrade my cutlass
In the past people asked for another use for the colider if overclocking wasnt a thibg and i thought a capital sized emp/intradiction ship could be cool.
can you equip all the modules at once?
