    Chris’s favorite ship is the Connie Phoenix. Jared’s is the Genesis Starliner.
    Mine is the Endeavor.

      I love the Phoenix, but the Endeavor is probably going to be the coolest, most versatile ship in the entire game! It may take another 5-10 years to see it, but I can’t wait 😁👍

    I bought one at the last IAE. I had wanted one for a while so seized the opportunity this time around. I had originally planned to use it as a hospital ship but after watching your vid the combination with the Vulture, which I've also pledged for, has cast some doubt on that idea. Also, drug lab, Space Heizenberg, hard to throw that little fantasy out too.

      Hahaha, I love the Space Heisenberg! It’s definitely an upgrade to a camper in the desert that’s for sure! And congratulations on this pick up, it really is an amazing and versatile ship that I imagine will raise significantly in price by release!
      And I think this will make an excellent combination with the vulture, either in tandem with a super collider or even as part of a scrapper or exploration focused design; where you can maximize the most of your finds, including derelicts!
      And thank you for taking the time to watch this video and share your experience with this ship, I really appreciate your engagement!

      I was considering picking one up myself this time around, and I have a question for you. When you bought it last IAE, was it LTI? I was considering getting the new Greycat PTV with LTI to upgrade it into the endeavor if it doesnt already come with LTI.

It’ll be incredible once we have this in our hands, even if it’s several more years before we see this realized in the verse haha.

    I like the idea of a ‘heavy science’ ship, and this as a gameplay loop intrigues me as much as exploration and base building/construction (The Pioneer). It seems a very cheap ship given it’s a 200m capital ship, but I suppose those modules have a cost. But as with the new Galaxy, the obvious play to me is that you pledge on the base ship if you really want it, and then just buy the modules you want in-game, which makes perfect sense to me as the value play. I’m curious when work will commence on the Endeavour. I have an unapplied CCU to one from my Caterpillar which only cost $20, but it’ll be one to watch in the years ahead. I doubt we’ll see this anytime before 2026 sadly.

    • @ViciDeum
      @ViciDeum  ปีที่แล้ว

      I also love the idea of a science ship and think this gameplay loop caters perfectly with exploration as well! And yes, I think picking up the modules in game is a great way to save money!
      And based on CIGs statements, the Endeavor will be one of the last ships they develop before release, likely even after the game is finally released itself. Sadly I suspect we’ll wait another 5-10 years before we see this ship in game.

  • @AgentXRifle
    @AgentXRifle 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    This ship can help lots of people live ‘off grid’ and keep to themselves in the void… but they will still need some other ship pilots like the BMM and Starfarer to visit them, buy their goods, sell them fuel/needed goods, definitely excited to bump into some and make friends!
    My Banu Merchantman will be looking forward to doing business with all your endeavour pilots!

    • @ViciDeum
      @ViciDeum  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely! I think the Endeavor is well suited to isolated expeditions, but like you mention, really shines when coordinating with a larger fleet, particularly a Merchantman to offload its goods!

    Woot! Flying Space Station! Great assessment there and great video! I really think the Endevour is the Star Citizen version of Star Trek's Enterprise! I don't have this ship nor do I plan to have it, but I find it so interesting. I can't wait to see them around in the verse!
    With a crew module, the hangar module and what else fits there, I think it will also make the best mobile base out there!
    Keep up the good work!

    • @ViciDeum
      @ViciDeum  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much Jean-Kristof, I always appreciate reading your comments and hearing your ongoing support and your opinions throughout! I think that’s an excellent comparison with the Enterprise, as the Endeavor is so science focused and with tremendous utility!
      Between this and the Kraken, they will be the largest ships out there in the Verse, almost like microcosms within themselves! It’ll be awesome to see how CIG develops gameplay loops around these massive capital ships, along with the emerging gameplay which develops on their own!
      And thank you again for taking the time to continue to watch the series and share within the comments, I really appreciate your ongoing support and engagement! You rock!

    #6: Troop Carrier; 2 crew modules, and a launch/landing pad module with a Cutty Steel.

    • @ViciDeum
      @ViciDeum  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I love the idea of the Endeavor with a carrier configuration! This ship would be able to refuel and refit a number of different ships that wanted to use it in this setup as well, outfitting them as they landed aboard!
      And thank you for taking the time to watch this video and share your thoughts, I really appreciate your engagement!

    • @PockyFiend
      @PockyFiend 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Actually, I said troop carrier, as in troops stay in the two crew modules, and a Cutlass Steel dropship in the launching/landing pad module to take 'em down to the surface.
      As good as your idea sounds, a fighter carrier version of the Endeavor wouldn't really work, because you can really only carry up to 3 fighters even if you could install three launching/landing pad modules, and since all three of them would be in the ventral position, taking off and landing from would be difficult to say the least. Not to mention the fact that you'll need to sacrifice a launching/landing pad module for a crew module to house all those pilots and flight crew.

    • @ViciDeum
      @ViciDeum  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PockyFiend I agree and meant it as a troop carrier as well! You could outfit a fleet of Steels or other similar drop ships and use the hangar platform of the Endeavor to launch those pursuits! Using it as an orbital station to refit the ships or the crews themselves!
      I see the primary benefit of the Endeavor not in the ships it can carry, but as a platform to perform maintenance for a revolving fleet of ships! Unfortunately only one hangar module can be installed per endeavor, however based on updated modeling done by StarJump and others, it seems likely with the inevitable redesign of this ship (due to its new size), that a pass through hangar module will be required to function, where ships can fly through either the front of back!
      Either way this is shaping up to be one amazing ship and an incredibly dynamic platform!

    • @PockyFiend
      @PockyFiend 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, last weekend, when Astro Chronicles came out with the Origin 777, I commented that what Origin really needs is a Kraken Privateer/Banu Merchantman competitor, but later on, I thought that the 890 Jump had enough space for the stores and meeting space that a Merchantman boasts about. I also added that MISC was also capable of building a Kraken Privateer/Banu Merchantman competitor, and decided to make it more like a military version of the Endeavor, for freight lines who use Hull Cs, Ds and Es in need of some fighter escorts. The Enterprise, as I call it (hey, Gene Roddenberry named his starship after an aircraft carrier, after all), is around the size of the Endeavor, maybe a little bigger. The forward hull doesn't separate from the rest of the ship, has the same refinery as the Endeavor, and the same sensors (although ECM and ECCM are added), but its weapons would be upgraded to 6 size 7 turrets with 2 guns each (same Behring SF7s as the Ares Ion or Inferno). The main feature of the Enterprise is the three wraparound modules that can be fitted in the center section of the hull.
      Reliant Tana Module: Of course, MISC would prefer the Enterprise to carry its own fighter design, the Reliant Tana, so they came up with a novel way to carry them. The Reliant Tana Module can carry 6 of them per module, 3 port, 3 starboard, each fighter in its own bay stacked on top of each other along the centerline of the side of the module. There are rooms in each module for each fighter crew member, and one flight crew member for each fighter, as well as 4 gunners for the 4 size 7 twin turrets (same Behring SF7s as the forward hull) arranged like the Javelin (2 port, 2 starboard, 2 dorsal, 2 ventral). An Enterprise fully equipped with Reliant Tana Modules can carry up to 18 Reliant Tanas.
      Standard Fighter Module: Although MISC prefers its own fighter design, they realize that fleet owners would like to choose the kind of escort fighters that they like to carry, so Musashi designed a module that can carry 4 fighters, 2 port, 2 starboard, each in its own 30m by 30m bay, stacked on top of each other along the side of the module's centerline.
      Each bay is roomy enough to not just carry most fighters or light bombers (the only fighters that are too big for a Standard Fighter Module are the RSI Scorpius, the Crusader Ares, the Aegis Eclipse, and the Aepoa Khartu-Al), but also light cargo vessels like the Consolidated Outland Nomad, Drake Cutlass Black, and even Musashi's own Hull A. Like the Reliant Tana Module, the Standard Fighter Module has rooms for each fighter crew member, one flight crew member per fighter, and 4 gunners for the 4 size 7 twin turrets with Behring SF7s, arranged the same as on the Reliant Tana Module. An Enterprise fully equipped with Standard Fighter Modules can carry up to 12 fighters.
      Extra-Large Module: This module takes up two module slots, but it can carry ships that are twice a long as ordinary fighters. This includes "gunships" like Drake's Cutlass Black and MISC's own Freelancer MIS, true gunships like the Aegis Redeemer or Aegis' Vanguard series, cargo haulers like Musashi's Hull B, standard Freelancer, Freelancer Dur and Freelancer Max, or Argo's RAFT, dropships like Drake's Cutlass Steel and Anvil's Valkyrie, mining ships like Argo's MOLE (the Standard Fighter Module can carry MISC's own Prospector), support ships like the Vulcan, Vulture, or Apollo, as well as fighters too long or wide for the Standard Fighter Module, like RSI's Scorpius (the Extra-Large Module can carry two of them), Crusader's Ares series (two Infernos or Ions can fit), the Aegis Eclipse (again, two can be kept in the Extra-Large Module), or a single Aeopa Khartu-Al. All of these can take off and land on two 60m long by 40m wide pads, one port, one starboard, and the pads can be retracted into the module when not required for take off or landing. To defend itself, the Extra-Large Module has not only 8 size 7 twin turrets with Behring SF7s (4 port, 4 starboard, 4 dorsal and 4 ventral), but also 4 size 5 remote twin turrets along the centerline (2 port, 2 starboard), similar to the turret on the Endeavor. All this, plus the Enterprise still has a module slot available for a Reliant Tana or Standard Fighter Module.
      Other modules include barracks modules to transport troops to the dropships, minelaying modules, repair modules to get damaged ships ready to fly again, among others (BTW, Endeavor modules can't fit on the Enterprise, and vice-versa).

    • @PockyFiend
      @PockyFiend 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also, taking a cue from their Hull series, MISC could come up with the Enterprise A, with two module slots, the Enterprise B, as shown above with three module slots, and the Enterprise C, with four module slots.

    Well, assuming the detachable front cab has capacities similar to a scaled-down Odyssey, i'd go like this for a pure exploration Endeavour.
    Modules from front to back:
    Research module, science module, telescope.
    The telescope in the back finds stuff, and its data is analyzed by the science module in the middle. If it's anything worth exploring up close the cab detaches and goes to take a look and possibly grab a few samples. Once it comes back all its new data and samples are processed throught the research module in the front of the workshop (hence the closest to the cab when it is connected to the rest of the ship), and the analyzed once again by the science module in the middle.
    Finally all the data collected is packaged and readied to be sold by the science module, so any courier ship can simply connect to a docking port and make the transfer.

    • @ViciDeum
      @ViciDeum  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is an awesome idea and really leverages the Endeavor into a powerhouse science and exploration ship! The combination of the detachable front section with the telescope grabbing useful points of interest really synergizes well 👌

    Definitely a ship I'm keeping an eye on and one I have a CCU chain for sitting in my hanger. This ship will be the mortar to the bricks of my fleet. While other ships can be great at tackling tasks they were built for, the Endeavor has the flexibility to fill the niches missing in between. I'm a fan. It may not make me excited, but it does allow me to not worry about being limited in my options.
    I would wager it will increase in size and cost while retaining flexible function. But I wouldn't expect to see it before 2023 and probably not until 2024.

      I agree with your target date and think that this will likely be one of the last ships that they introduce into the game!
      And I like that comparison with this ship being able to lay down the foundation for a fleet, given its utility and versatility!
      I’m definitely excited to see what emergent gameplay loops develop around this behemoth, and how in-depth they go with each of these modules!

    I've been researching big ships to find the next ones to buy at IAE this Nov., and I'm planning to get an Endeavor and the Hope medical and hangar modules, and maybe some other modules too (still researching). It will probably get fully re-concepted, maybe even doubling in size, and it'll be the last ship CIG will make, so it's a long way out, but its potential is irresistible. With the variety and depth of gameplay it will offer for the price, it should be worth the wait.
