I think it's completely fair to say that this ship is a good decade away.

The Endeavour is one of those ships I own, knowing it probably wont show up until im an ancient man, but the thought of it was enough to get me to buy one.
Now modulation is sorted it could be 2-3 yrs or less, CIG have lots of new MISC assets from the HULL series, and plenty of devs now SQ42 is finished. The HULL series looks very much like the Endeavor Base.......go look!
Huge ships always coming from MISC. Like Hull C and now Endeavor. And you re always good in ship reviews. Your content (and format) is very useful when thinkin about buyin ships. So thank you
Once again you have "Endeavoured" to flesh out for us the potential and possibilities of Concept Ships in the 'Verse, and that ALREADY have been. sold as pledges against their future development and deployment in the game. Thank you Farrister for another informative video
This is such a beautiful ship and reminds me so much of the starship sci fi art books I loved as a child. I really hope the gameplay loops are developed enough so the multiple modules are actually useful and not just fluff.
Definitely. In fact, I imagine the first star ships will be more like this, more like the space station - highly modular, built in sections. Pretty cool.
This is the most underrated ship but only because people are impatient and not willing to wait. This ship is of an old 2015 design. If they bring it up to standard it will grow 3x. It also has the old pricing too so I would expect it to go 4x or 5x. Put this baby in your hanger, this is the ultimate ship and you really want LTI on it.
The one thing that really has me excited for it is the fact it is also one of the few ships that work as a mobile clinic or hospital. I love the idea of having a mobile hospital solely because it would mean you could just fly it to a system in dire need of aid.
Respect for having the courage to go this deep with this ship video... With such little confirmed info on the ship, I would be surprised if we won't have to rewrite everything we know of this ship when it finally makes it in game.... And yes... I did "supercolide" the like button :)
Greetings Farrister. I like this review of the Endeavour. It shows the possibilities that will be available for this ship. Unfortunately, it's way out of my budget. I do know someone that purchased one back when the concept came out as well as all the modules that will be available. I particularly like the idea of having the hospital and landing bay for medical coverage for our Org. I have no idea if anyone in our group has one though. Thank you for your videos, and I encourage you to keep making them. Take care my friend. Fly safe, and I'll see you around the verse.
i really love the idea of owning this thing with the telescope module equipped. Looks like an OP James Webb Space Telescope lol. Also being able to find new jump points would just be crazy!! Imagine being the only person who knows about a particular jump point.. would be crazy especially if the endeavor, with the telescope attached, still has a decent amount of cargo space allowing you to map new jump points then immediately take advantage of them. I don't really think that'll be a thing but at the same time just judging by the ship's size it would make sense to be able to do that. Excited either way!! Also space hospital would be amazing as well. It would be a badass, and a bit over the top lol, base for doing bunker runs.
It's a really cool concept - just not clear how it would translate into gameplay right now (meaningful gameplay, across hundreds or thousands of players)
I am not one to spend money on SC but this got me to spend! Have the package with all the modules in my hanger right now. Love the idea of medical and science based gameplay and the clincher was the fact the the "ship" itself can detach from the modules and land, just like the awesome scene at the start of Alien, where the Nostromo does just that!
This was my first big ship purchase. So excited for it. Think it’s going to grow a fair amount and receive a comprehensive remodel. It’s going to be something special for multiplayer co-op.
I had been holding onto this ship for ages, but eventually upgraded it to a Perseus. I'm still excited for it though, and look forward to earning it in the verse (or, you know, my grandkids earning it in the verse when the game releases in 2070.
Great summary. I'm so excited for this ship, but terrified I've wasted a ton of money on gameplay that might turn out to be totally wrong for me 😅 I haven't actually bought any modules yet - not going to commit to any of them until we see the gameplay in action. Still, it has the potential to be the most flexible ship in the verse for a non-combat player.
Is it weird that this and the Genesis Starliner are my most anticipated ships in the game? They're also some of the most neglected ships in the game's development. Someday... Anyways, thanks for the video, I always enjoy these!
Not so much neglected, but just the game trying to catch up, NPC/passengers and providing a taxi service are not that far away, we'll at least have the E1/Phoenix to offer small scale luxury passenger transport, 890j being another. I think CIG have learnt not just to release ships before there is a game/content to support them, there are enough vintage-ships in need of a rework.
I really want to get one of these things- if not to perform scientific things, then to be a mobile medical station/garrison. Come to think of it, the hangar and medical modules would turn the Endeavor into a rather powerful FoB, especially if you bring an escort ship or two.
Love the spelling! I live in Australia and here we also spell using the Kings English. I find it sad when you see and hear youngsters (for me that's 90 percent of the population hehe) in my country using spelling, pronunciations and terminology seen and heard on the internet and TV
I have an original master set Endeavour in buyback, patiently waiting its time to shine. I really believe she should almost double in size to become a proper multirole civilian capship. I was surprised when the Odyssey turned out to not be the 'cab' part of the full Endeavour. I already have the configuration ready for my mission, deep space exploration: At the back the telescope to find stuff, at the front the general research pod to analize the stuff that is collected by the 'cab', and at the centre the general science pod to munch all the data into easily sellable packages.
Y'know, with the detachable epxlorer section, that thing would make perfect sense as a 'first contact' xeno-archeology or xeno-biology lab. I imagine those modules, and maybe a farming dome and fuel refinery component, would pair extremely well with the big 'scope for a deep exploration vessel. 5-year missions, and all that.
the text info on the modules leads a lot to think about, science module to tweak and tinker with components so will we be able to mod things to make them stronger ect ect? then the medical hanger "fit multiple cutlass class ambulances" like how big if this hanger going to be?
I bought the whole 'master / complete set" of this thing when it was first pitched. I think it's a cool concept but I do regret it as I firmly believe I'll be in a nursing home at best before we ever see it in-game and actually functioning as intended.
Love that you make these! I know you've covered Microsoft Flight Simulator in the past, have you seen that the Ornthicoptor and Arrakis have been added? I'd love to hear what you think 🤔
Oh my gosh I was just flying that this morning! Do you think people would be interested in a video? I'd love to make one, but thought it might be too different from the usual!
I had this ship pledged (real money), but traded for a 600i, I am into exploration and "luxury" do hence Origin. I'm 2nd guessing that decision but who knows how long until this amazing ship will be avail. Thank you Farrister!
I'm not going to pledge for this, but it will be my first major goal once we hit full release. I've tried to keep my spend on ships fairly low so I don't kill the sense of progression when I actually play this game for real haha
I traded for it during IAE 2953 and even though it is gonna take my entire lifetime for it to come out im gonna be one happy man. I cant wait to become a space hospital and since the front can pop off ima use it for bunkers as well with my crew.
What does "minimum crew of 3" mean in practice? Can I move the thing around by myself during solo play? If so, when does missing the other two start to hit home hard?
Usually it would mean things get hard when you start to do anything other than take off, fly and land. This thing probably has a 3 man bridge command like the Constellations do, realistically you could solo pilot it but scanning, refuelling maybe even docking and decoupling from the rest of the ship may be much more difficult and require manual assistance to do.
A maximum crew of 5 seems extremely low, but I think generally the crew estimations don't take into account things like modules or engineering. I'd think that you would want more than 5 crew for a hospital ship!
It kinda does, but also kinda doesn't. Like, the space farm for example, it's a huge amount of space, but most of what's needed is probably game time, rather than player effort, so maybe 1 person does all of those? But yeah, hospital ship totally think more lol
Picture it: Outpost "Bla Bla Bla" on the "Moon of Greek Name Here" has been ravaged by a massive "Type of Storm." The pre-planned "dynamic" event requires players to respond to the location, secure it, and provide humanitarian relief. All of the Outpost's residents must be evacuated via smaller medical ships to the Endeavour Medical Yada Yada. This necessitates players to perform rapid search and rescue operations to locate and extricate residents that have been buried under the rubble of collapsed structures and mounds of debris (sponsored by Maelstrom). Players have "arbitrary amount of time" to accomplish this mission as weather conditions continue to deteriorate further, signaling the next storm.
Do you want to bring your space drug lab with you just in case being a space weapons manufacturer doesn't pan out in case being a space M.A.S.H. doesn't pan out in case being a space farm doesn't pan out in case being a space observatory doesnt work out? Then the Legendary Endeavor Package is for you.
The spelling of the "Endeavor" has always bothered me. Not because of UK vs US spelling, but because the science ship was clearly supposed to be named after the space shuttle Endeavour, which in turn was named after the HMS Endeavour, the exploration ship used by Cook.
It does, and equally i was able to buy it with Instore credit and melted, since un-melted it because of Pyro, HULL series assets, modulation being sorted and a large dev pool, so it could happen in a basic form in 2 yrs. Never new there were different sets sold either.
It will probably be re-concepted. Science is not in game yet. I would like to see it become more of a space station that can maneuver, jump, and quantum, that can be outfitted with what modules you need for a specific operation other than science. A cap ship with no turrets or PDS is kind of naive on a ship that big though.
Well the good thing is it hasn't been built as of yet, so no rework, it will need support, which i would be CIG's mindset, as opposed to having it armed like a station. Well see
Have a the ''LTI Master Set'' in BB, yet, its pointless to say more than that, have un-melted the ''master set'' before IAE 2024, i do think we will start to get drip fed news concerning the Endeavor, it could be with us in a couple of yrs, CIG have the HULL assets to draw from, modules are sorted, and we could have at least: medical/landing/cargo modules, also with Pyro being imminent, so there might be a slim chance sometime soon.
Normally I see and hear good researched information from this channel. But this time I am quiet disappointed. 1. It is not "Endeavour" as in the video title "Drydock: MISC Endeavour | Star Citizen 4K" but it is Endeavor. It states this in the Pledge Store this way. 2. When you try to put the Cutlass into the Hangar of a Endeavor with current specifications in a tool with images then the Cutlass red hardly fits. But the Pledge Store page from last IAE sale stated and I quote: "room to support multiple Cutlass Red ambulances" (I have screenshots of that). I even read one official Q&A page which spoke of 4 Cutlass Red. This taken in speculative concideration the current measurements are to small and the Endeavor will grow 3x to something near 600m length. I would like to see a rework on this video to get it to the Farrister-Standards I am familiar with.
I heard the "this is british". The origin is most probably french and i would not dare to call this channel "Ferristour" because I like that spelling better. The name is what it is. In this case CIG decided for "Endeavor". I have to point out 1. because I am used to Farrister's high standards.
This video isnall but pointless, as its so out of date that this ship is 100% going to be either reconcepted and/or totally redesigned and upgraded, likey to grow mucb larger..... So all these components listing is a waste of time...
It would be cool if you can just drift in space living off the farms! Collecting extra to sell off at stations and planets or other players can pay you to deliver them supplies and kind of making low stress money
Looong have I awaited this drydock. I've always wanted an Endeavour as a flagship for some reason, thank you for this Farrister.
Impressive flagship!
Basically the only thing I'm building a chain for!
Bei mir ist es die Javelin. Hab aber auch 2 idris und 2 Endeavour 😉😁

Yup. Has always reminded me of the style of ship you'd see on various old sci-fi paperback covers.
Definitely. In fact, I imagine the first star ships will be more like this, more like the space station - highly modular, built in sections. Pretty cool.
I really enjoy this Drydock series. Please keep them coming when able.
Will do - running out of ships to cover though!

Great video love these drydock episodes so cool. Really hoping I can lock in an endeavour when they come on sale next 😃
Just hope the wait to fly it isn't too long!
@@Farrister agreed but the more fleshed out it will be so it’s a bit of a catch 22 😅😁
Thanks for doing my suggestion 😄

The best aspect is that each module is high end, not compromised versions of features.

10 years, I'd hope it is. But probably not soon...

Leave the fleet carrier idea to those with a Kraken or Liberator, as for me the telescope and collider will be mad if they pull them off eventually.

Not next, but soon ;-)

thx. Sadly moduels not LTI so i not bough any
It has LTI if you get the Master set ;)
Yea I just build a ccu-chain for the base ship under $150 and buy the modules in-game if it ever comes out.

The master set is the only endeavor that comes with LTI.
It does, and equally i was able to buy it with Instore credit and melted, since un-melted it because of Pyro, HULL series assets, modulation being sorted and a large dev pool, so it could happen in a basic form in 2 yrs. Never new there were different sets sold either.

Interesting but i dont like MISC particularly with its industrial design and unforgivable „slits „ in the Cockpit.
Well let's see what we end up with, who knows, might be different!
People paid 1000$ for this 9 years ago. Wow
That could be the story of many a Star Citizen player :D
This video isnall but pointless, as its so out of date that this ship is 100% going to be either reconcepted and/or totally redesigned and upgraded, likey to grow mucb larger.....
So all these components listing is a waste of time...
First
Third😝
No idea what number and not bothered 🖖
I really ought to try commenting first some day :D
$600 for a bunch of mumbo jumbo and imaginationware.
Well, its not like getting married, needing a kidney, or taking up religion.
It would be cool if you can just drift in space living off the farms! Collecting extra to sell off at stations and planets or other players can pay you to deliver them supplies and kind of making low stress money
