    Thanks, Angie. I couldn't work out what I would use the concierge for, but knowing that it covers, priority lunch on the day of boarding, specialty events, and the expanded room service menu, is all very enticing. Liked and Subscribed. 👍🏾

    We've done Concierge twice now only because that was an offer through our travel agent. I would not intentionally purchase that level. The only benefit we found worthwhile was being able to go to the main dining room for lunch after embarkation. Maybe one day we'll treat ourselves to the Retreat!!

    EXCELLENT VIDEO. No bullcrap graphics and music - just straight up clear descriptions of the things that matter. Ok - this will sound snobby but it's quite the opposite: Have done 10+ Celeb Cruises- *all* in the best Penthouse onboard. Times Change and now, I am in my 40's and retired (long story) with 2 kids college eventually coming up. My point: Me and mama won't be doing Penthouses down the road lol. So here's my question: Concierge Class: Did you feel like cattle? Do they still treat you ok? Embark-Debark is it somewhat orderly? Also how is Main Dining Room food and service these days? Thanks and save travels.

    • @TripswithAngie
      @TripswithAngie  ปีที่แล้ว

      Embarkation and debarkation depend on the port. Some are better than others. Main dining room food has been good to great.

    I’ve done 10 cruises with Celebrity. I do appreciate the value added with Concierge Class. Especially so for the priority embarkation and extra loyalty points. But the last 4 cruises have been in the Retreat. I’m okay with cruising a little less frequently and having all the perks when I do go on Celebrity. Thanks for doing this video. 🚢🥂😎

      @@TripswithAngie Hi. If I had a choose a favorite perk, I’d say Luminae was the best. The level of service and cuisine make dining extra special. Having the staff get to know you is also a pleasure. Love that on the last morning you go and enjoy a full breakfast in a relaxed environment. No worry about being rushed get off the ship. And then you can enjoy the Retreat lounge until leaving by 10AM. The larger cabin, private sundeck, and other perks are great also. Love that the price is all inclusive. Happy Cruising. 🚢

    Have sailed twice with Celebrity, both times on Solstice and Concierge. Last cruise we celebrated my 70th Birthday and our 50th Wedding Anniversary. We definitely got special treatment, numerous invites including the sailaway on the helipad when we departed Tauranga in New Zealand. Great video! We are excited to go on our first concierge cruise! I actually bid for it for my parents and they ended up getting it for a pretty low price. The bonus was my wife & I were booked in a separate room but Celebrity upgraded us with them!! Celebrity has been 1st class as we had to cancel our Alaska cruise last June and they fully refunded our cruise because we had COVID. They even refunded us for our flights and hotel, luckily I booked it through them which I normally do not do. Enhanced menu no longer really a perk. Especially now that we have to pay money for room service. We used to like conceirge for the expanded breakfast menu that we would have on the balcony, but last cruise in Feb, there was no way we were paying over $12 US for room service. The body pillow was a big perk for sure. Snacks in the afternoon were toally useless. Sailaways used to be a nice perk, but again in Feb, being on the helipad was not fun at all. I think there might have been one or two staff there, some watery drink, I don't even think there was alcohol. In past years, it had been a great social time to meet a lot of staff, but no longer.

    Yes, I have, it did not go well! Let me explain...first of all the "Concierge" person was a waste of space. We had problems with MDR reservations, went there, no help at all. We finally went to MDR Maitre 'D and he took care of us...just as if we had an inside cabin. The afternoon canapes were a joke, you're right...go for room service. Champagne was okay, but really most people, like me, couldn't tell the difference. We did like the extended balcony. To be honest, we are elite, and most of the "perks" we already have. So, that will be our last cruise on concierge, but NOT on Celebrity.

    First time sailing on Celebrity in June 2023. Going to Alaska on the Solstice. A previous cruise to Singapore was canceled during the pandemic. We booked a Concierge only because we couldn’t get a cabin with the location we wanted otherwise. Still have to waitlist to get something other than 8:30 evening dining reservation. We booked relatively late I guess, only 4+ months out. This video helped point out many more perks I wasn’t aware of so thank you for that. I do find it surprising how so many TH-camrs say that the majority of people get the drinks package. I think it’s outrageously expensive. That is especially true for us because my wife doesn’t drink alcohol or tea, but it does seem like you’d need to be pretty familiar with your bartender to make it worthwhile. Even more so on port intensive cruises. Thanks again for the info.

    • @TripswithAngie
      @TripswithAngie  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the US, the drinks package is included in most promotions so most people book it included. If they are booking through the website, they may not even know you can get a No Perks rate. You can also opt for Anytime dining and make a reservation for each night when you'd like to dine via the App ahead of time. This may be a good option as you wait on getting the 8:30 pm set dining.

    Concierge Class is useless. I'd rather get Aqua Class or pick a premium location for a nice veranda cabin. The onboard concierge is for all Captain's club members as well. The only decent perk is the occasional sail away event, but I talked to people who haven't received that for their last 3 sailings and were pretty upset about it. The lunch is usually over by the time most people get on the ship. What is it worth? Maybe $10/day but hardly more.

    Concierge class is absolutely not worth paying for. All those perks are useless and some are annoying like canapés in the middle of the day when you are either not in the cabin, or you are resting, and a waiter is knocking at the door; in addition, those bites are so disgusting that I did not touch them.
    We used a Concierge person only once on the very first day, and there was a line in front of her desk, and she did not help us at all - we wanted to change our dining option, so we went to talk to a restaurant's manager, and she helped us. A pillow menu is a nuance, and a bottle of a sparkling wine is inconvenient because it should be drank all on the same day, or else it goes flat next day. More over you can bring your own bottle of a fine wine. Save your $ 200 that you pay for this Concierge nonsense and you will get so much more out of it than those silly perks. in MHO.
