Fun fact: If you select Cl4P-TP in the Pre-Sequel the game will actually try to persuade you to not choose him when in actuality he's the most versatile player in the game.
@@acrab6527 Actually he's just as capable even on his own. For example, his skill "HIGH FIVES GUYS" can work in 3 ways, if a teammate high fives you, you don't get a high five and even enemies can give you high five. Regardless on how the skill is activated, it still grants you positive effects.
@@77dris Same. Too old for it to be part of my childhood. But, I've got all the games on Steam and revisit them from time to time. Currently, playing through borderlands 2 again.
To be honest, I never was a typical "Shooter" Guy, more like a RPG / Adventure Guy. But playing Borderlands 1 made me fell in love with the series at almost an instant. They have incredible dialog and a nice kind of humor, which sets them apart from other Shooter-Games^^
There's 4 more trailers that you can see for the DLC vault hunters that weren't shown in the original intros. We've got Gaige the Mechromancer, Krieg the Psycho, Aurelia the Baroness and Jack the Doppelganger.
@@Spiran_SphereHunter sorry for wrong word "beside", I mean "among the said above". Krieg the Psycho reveal trailer (together with Gaige and Jack trailers) is simply trailer, not a mini-movie as "bicycle". th-cam.com/video/ko2X_YzXwNQ/w-d-xo.html Bur Aurelia trailer also show us some story - very short episode but story, nоt disjoint set of fragments.
To my understanding, Sirens are sort of cosmically "chosen" superwomen. They can come from anywhere, and they're not generally known from birth...it's more something that "manifests" when they get to a certain age, or they can even become Sirens later in life. At one time there are always six Sirens in existence in the universe, and when one dies the "mantle" passes to another woman or girl somewhere out in the cosmos. They all have different abilities and powers pretty specific to themselves and their own personal flavor. Lilith can phase through reality in an intangible state, with explosive effects when popping out of the ethereal form. Maya has the "phaselock" ability, where she can summon bubbles of energy to lift and trap foes and in some cases move objects around. Amara has kind of a smattering of powers (BL3 expanded skill trees quite a bit and gave players a lot of special powers to choose from), but they generally revolve around the manifesting of that set of spectral arms to interact with enemies in different ways (straight up smashing, projecting waves of force forward, and a grab/lift similar to Maya's). There are other Sirens in the games as well, with different powers of their own. I won't go into them too much, but yeah...all of my main series BL1-3 first playthroughs were as the Siren character of the title, and they were ALL awesome. Every character has something fun to enjoy but I mean...come on, smokin' hot badass women covered in glowing tattoos who can wreak havoc with special reality-warping powers? It's hard to top that lol. Definitely my favorites of the player choices/NPCs. As to the Vault? Well, that's something that is kind of a mystery as the series starts. It's kind of a fairy tale in this area of space, some ancient place locked away for aeons, the contents of which could be pretty much whatever you dream them to be. It's like searching for the Fountain of Youth, it's mostly rumors and little clues found in corners of the universe...but the allure of it is still enough to capture the imaginations of people across all worlds, who come together to try to find it as Vault Hunters. Riches, weapons, power...the Vault is pretty much the dream for a lot of people. The actual nature of the Vault? Well, that's something our player characters have to find out for themselves. ;) Borderlands really was a fixation of mine for quite a while lol. I played the living HECK out of 1-3, though I never did try out the Pre-Sequel. They're all pretty great games, though they each have their ups and downs (the writing in BL3 is pretty notoriously bad, but the combat mechanics are all great and the pace of the gameplay/firefights is quick and intense). Great series all in all, one day I gotta go back and try out the Pre-Sequel.
Nyriad was the 7th siren, but since she died inside of the valt on Nekrotafeyo her siren power couldn't find a new host leading to the existence of a 7th siren being forgotten, untill Typhon Deleon and Leda found, opened and had some fun inside.
There are 6 or 7 siren powers passed down ( not sure if the 6th was locked Away or if there was a 7th and they got forgotten) but basically when one siren dies their powers Go to the new siren. We have seen 5 siren powers so far. Liliths, mayas (passed to Ava), amara, tannis, and tyreen ( inherited the power that was locked a Way in a vault). Also the vaults are usually prisons for ancient creatures locked away for their destructive power but also contain some riches but mostly they’re to keep the vault monsters locked up.
The Pre sequel today would be fun, at launch it had its issues mainly with one time boss fights and no way to go back and farm which was the worst thing they could’ve which is why tps got all that hate when it first launched But 2k Australia made that game so everyone has Australian accents which is funny because the joke with that was. Everyone on the moon spoke with an Australian accent It’s a great game now and I’d highly recommend Wilhelm or Athena, claptrap was nerfed a little too hard so playing him will be a little more difficult. Nisha is pretty easy and probably one of the best because she gets auto aim and crazy crit damage. Pretty braindead if you ask me but for sure fun Wilhelm, Athena, jack, auralia are all pretty fun characters to play
@@nagacha42 I was thinking that if I ever did do a run of TPS, Nisha looked like a lot of fun. I usually do cooperative playthroughs with my buddy, and we were thinking we might do a Nisha/Aurelia duo. We have stuff we're pouring ourselves into right now (finally got into Ark and we are HOPELESSLY lost in it lol), but eventually we'll probably play something else and maybe then we can give TPS a try finally. :D
@@nagacha42 Yeah I played Athena mostly in all of my playthroughs and I can vouche that she's really fun. Never really tried claptrap, I did intend to then apparently as you said he got nerfed and I lost any excitement because of that. Nisha IS pretty easy mode that I can agree with, get her dual Luck Cannons and she becomes a goddess of death.
If you want the story/lore you might want to watch the rest of the intros, since you only saw the "song/character introduction" parts, each intro also has a story part that comes before the characters part, don't know why those weren't included here.
Borderlands 4 was officially announced today, while looking at the teaser trailer for the 10th today I came across this video, honestly it made my day. Brought a few tears to my eyes as BL is probably my favorite Franchise.
'Vaults' in borderlands are super ancient prisons and treasure troves built by a long dead race of hyper intelligent aliens called 'The Eridians'. They were used to hide treasures and seal away dangerous monsters (that doubles as gaurdians of the treasures within). 'Vault-Hunters' are people who are seeking to open a vaults and claim the treasures hidden in the vault--which is typically massive amounts of weapons and money. In universe they are considered some of the most dangerous and insane people you can mess with due to how difficult the task of finding and opening a vault is. The 'Children of the Vault' is a cult that gets started between borderlands two and three while the crimson raiders (A group of volunteers and vault hunters from 1&2 dedicated to protecting pandora) were recovering from the events of the second game. The cult is lead by the 'twin-gods', sirens Tyreen and Troy Calypso (Troy is the only one to break the rule that sirens are female, because he and Tyreen were conjoined at birth). They have the most dangerous of the six siren abilites (Each siren has different powers), and believe that its their birthright to open 'the great vault'--they're basically internet streamers with god complexes, who were so charismatic that they were able to start a cult in their name. Others have already mentioned the rule that there can only be six sirens in the universe, something thats revealed over the course of BL2. What isn't mentioned is that the reason why there is a siren in every game, save for the Pre-Sequel (since you aren't playing vault-hunters (technically) in that game), is because Sirens are naturally drawn to Pandora. The reasoning isn't entirely clear in universe, some suspect its due to the planets massive stores of eridium (An incredibly dangerous and unstable purple stone) which fuels a sirens power, others say its due to the high amount of vaults that dot Pandora's surface, others suspect its where the siren powers come from and this is them 'returning home' so to speak.
interesting thing about the pre-sequel: it plays between borderlands 1 and 2. in borderlands 2 you meet some of the presequel chars... as enemies u have to kill. also a common thing in the series is that the chars from previous games appear as npcs in the later games and some even die there
@@Lergmeister He does. OP was talking about the characters in presequels, at least just Nisha and Wilhelm. Athena went independent and has been snatched by Mordecai and Brick in Tales from the Borderlands and is basically the narrator for the events of Borderlands The PreSequel. And Claptrap, is just Claptrap.
“Technically” yes there once was a male siren, but that was only because he was a conjoined twin with the real siren. In the games they were since separated with himself being the only one to lose anything (his arm). He did end up sharing the siren power his sister had but I think it was severely less powerful. His ability was called “phaseleech” and pretty much allowed him and his sister to leech powers from others.
hmm dont know much about Borderlands 3 and the male siren Twin. but it would be cool if after when he died his powers would start to carry on to another male and we would have a male siren in BL4 if it ever comes out.
@@mermidion7552 Holy crap that’s actually an amazing thought. There is only supposed to be 7 sirens at any given point right? But counting the twin, there was technically 8. Maybe there could be a male siren force because of this discrepancy? Just spitballing here but in any case good point man, didn’t even think about that.
@@zeallust8542 From what I remember the sirens in the games were Lilith, Angel, Maya, Ava, Steel, Amara, Tyreen, and Tannis. Some of the sirens are dead though which means their powers can manisfest into new sirens.
In the universe of borderlands there can only be 6 sirens alive in one time. And yes all sirens can only be females. The vault is a monster different monster in each vault who ever opens the vault is in control of the monster. I guess I should say there's a monster that defends the vault you have to defeat and or take control of which we don't but the villains do lol
according to the siren shrines in 3 theres actually 7 sirens the 7th is hidden undiscovered possibly not even dead since u only ever see 6 sirens its the sisterhood all the sirens sense each other and come together its why tanis and eva instantly knew lilith isnt dead and tanis had that poster on her wall saying where is she with markers showing where lilith could be after people beat the 3rd game they did not pay attention to anything during the game to know lilith did not die but ya according to the siren symbles u listen to explaining the sirens theres 7 sirens
@Izzy Troy and Tyreen were born conjoined, which is how he got his powers (and why he doesn't have an arm). So he was technically born a siren, but the powers are slowly killing him which is why he has to absorb siren power to stabilize himself.
Sirens are six(seven) psionic superbeings. They are always female... except that one time. The Vault is a literal McGuffin. It always has the thing you need to play the story, and unlocking it does a thing, a thing that makes a new sequel. Or a ButtStallion. or Both.
Siren powers work on inheritance - when one dies, the power will choose an inheritor and transfer to that person regardless of anyone knowing or being ready for it (with very slight exceptions). On a different note: There can only be 6 (technically 7) Sirens in the universe at any given time and they are always women (again with a slight exception if it even counts, its complicated lol). Then as a side note: We haven't met or heard of the 7th siren yet (Apart from being warned she must not be met for an unclear reason).
3:22 *I suppose it's important to point out that while this game does take place after the 1st Borderlands, so you could call it a sequel.* *BUT, it also takes place before Borderlands 2, so you could call it a prequel. So in other words, it's technically a "Pre-Sequel".*
Borderlands' cover art has a bandit making a finger gun at his head, borderlands 2 he has both hands, so the devs made the joke during the thirds development that they can't release it till they figure out how to engineer a three armed bandit.
What I love about all of them is that the last/4th vault hunter is something other than what they actually are, “Claptrap as a mistake” even though his ability gives him a random ability “Brick as himself” He is basically the tank “Zer0 as a number” is an assassin which is why he can go invisible” “Zane as himselves” and he is like an operative because he can send out a clone of himself and other things to help himself or friends
Yeah as you saw Sirens are basically in every game except Pre-sequel. In the Borderlands universe they are an incredibly small group of women possessing supernatural abilities. They are the key to unlocking vaults (massive alien treasure troves) and there can only ever be 6 Sirens at any one point in time They are EXTREMELY badass
Don't know if any of this has been covered yet. There's a lot behind sirens, there can only be six in the universe at a time, and they can only be women, and I believe during Borderlands 3 there was a switch between sirens, so if one dies another one will take its place. There's also a weird thing they can do, where they can pass on their powers to someone else willingly aside from randomly. Of course in Borderlands 3 it's proven that not all Sirens are good. The vaults are kind of a combination of different alien things. So they both are the gate as well as the monster behind them. According to Borderlands 3, they're usually created to stop an even bigger monster of some sort, I would look into Borderlands 3 if you want the most information about the vaults. There's a lot of stuff especially in three that would be very spoilery I don't know if you want to know about any of that.
Sirens are a race of beings that have been within the Borderlands universe for thousands of years. Only 6 different sirens can exsist within the Borderlands universe at any given time. Borderlands 1, 2 and 3 have the biggest emphasises on sirens as they take part in the history of vaults and the Eridians. The concept of Borderlands varies between games. Borderlands 1/BL1 is straight foward and that four Vault Hunters came to Pandora in search of fame, power and loot by hunting a mysterious alien legend known as the Vault. BL2 follows four/six Vault Hunters that were lured to the planet by Handsome Jack in hopes of killing them and preventing them from stopping the foreseen future of Jack opening and controlling a Vault to wipe the bandits and creatures of Pandora off of the face of it. Four/six Vault Hunters travel to the moon of Pandora which is Elpis as Jack at the time was just a programmer who through his skills and intellect uncovered a Vault hidden within the moon... he hired the 4/6 Vault Hunters in his attempt of uncovering and opening the Vault against the will of The Lost Legion who had forseen BL2's events. BL3 follows 5yrs after the events of BL2's 5th campaign DLC, twin brother and sister sirens came to Pandora in hopes of ascending to GOD-HOOD by using their siren power to leech the strongest being/Vault Monster, The Destroyer... they claimed the clans of Bandits across Pandora and dubbed themselves as The COV or Children Of the Vault.
I always liked the fact that FL4K, the Beastmaster from Borderlands 3, is a robot. So a machine caring for creatures. Also, he may look beefy, but he's not a tank, he lets his creatures tank for him.
The cool thing about Claptrap is he has everyone's ability up to 2 but in his own way. There are some conditions but it's mostly random which ability he'll get. Also while 1 has a better song 2 is still my favorite. 2 is generally the most liked while 3 has the best gameplay.
Story wise, the rough timeline is Borderlands 1 (Released in 2009), the Pre-Sequel (even if the first in-game cinematic is set after the end of BL2 - Released in 2014), Borderlands 2 (Released in 2012) and then Borderlands 3 (Released in 2019).
Ultimately, Borderlands revolves completely around the vaults. The ultimate goal is oriented around finding and getting into vaults because of the extreme power promised by doing so. So it's a place of unimaginable danger and power scattered on worlds around the galaxy.
Congratulations on the milestone, you two. Here's to more in the in the future. As always another Fantastic video. Keep being awesome. Vault hunters are pretty much treasure hunters, and the children of the vault is nearly like a cult. Sirens are females only.
Favorite character of all time is kriege high risk high reward if full melee build he can mutate to become a badass psycho but he will smack himself every once in while with his axe
the thing about sirens is that only 8 of them could exist at any given time(it used to be 6 but they retconned it so that there are now 8 since phase-leech isn't the 7th siren power and it's not one of the original 6) and each one is born with different crazy powers phase-lock phase-walk(the ability to teleport and move between dimensions) phase-shift(the ability to control anything that people agree are machines) phase-trance(Amaras ability) phase-puppetry?(I assume thats what it's called because it allows it's user to control other living things) phase-leech(the ability to suck the life out of someone by simply touching them) and phase-lock(Mayas ability) the other powers are unknown... also male sirens are possible as seen with Troy calypso but that is only because Troy and Tyreen were chimeric twins(when 2 conjoined twins are different genders) and it's possible for some sirens to use their power in such a way that they could mimic the abilities of other sirens... although it's a weaker version of that power they are mimicking
To answer some of the questions without spoiling anything. The Sirens aren't a race, they are individuals who have acquired incredible, mysterious powers, and are physically distinguished by elaborate tattoos that cover half of their bodies. It is said that only six Sirens can exist at any given time, and when a Siren dies, their powers pass on to another individual. The women who are Siren are just born Sirens. When a Siren uses their power their tattoos glow. The planet they're on is Pandora, there's a rumor in the universe of a vault in Pandora so vault hunters came to Pandora to seek it out hoping to find wealth and loot inside.
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames The don't get chosen in the traditional sense.... well they didn't used to. Borderlands 3 kinda changed the lore a bit. Before that game the lore was Sirens are just born Sirens, randomly. They don't find out until their tattoos come in around puberty. But Borderlands 3 added that a Siren can choose their successor, if they name their successor before they die. So it's both now, if a siren doesn't name a successor, then the powers will go to someone randomly....or conveniently.
I wouldn’t say that Sirens are a race but more of a rare phenomenon considering there can only be 6-7 (it’s I’m one of those numbers) sirens alive in the universe at one time and each siren is either born with the ability they get or they late on in life obtain it by random or by another siren giving them their power after their death. Also basically all sirens are female with the exception of Troy in BL3 since he was leaching off his sister because without her he would die so when they were both born they had to basically cut him off her and he obtained some of her powers making him the first male siren and siren powers vary from phase walk, grasp, leach, and plenty more. Also you can tell a Siren apart mainly from their tattoos they have on their arm. But on the basis of the Vaults basically they range from being a prison to being a weapon cache there was a superior race called the Eridians that made these vaults to lock away various monsters that had threatened the world and in some cases the universe and the Vault hunters are basically as their name says they hunt down the various vaults in search for various reasons since each character has their reasons for being a vault hunter. The children of the vault are basically just a cult of bandits
To answer your questions: Question 1: The Sirens a group of 6 women in the universe that posses supernatural abilities within the Borderlands Universe, a person can have Siren powers from birth (like with Lilith the red headed Siren) or can be passed on to another (we've seen characters that didn't start as Sirens gain Siren powers later on after a Siren died, we don't know the method yet). Normally Sirens are female however there's only been 1 very special case where there was a male siren, but that's an expection not the norm. In the lore Sirens are drawn to Pandora (the planet the games mostly take place) for some reason which is why we tend to get at least 1 Siren playable per game (besides the Pre-Sequel). You don't need a Siren on your team they're just a playable character you don't have to pick them if you don't want to (though they tend to be pretty strong characters). Question 2: The Vault(s) was a old legend in the Borderlands lore with many people claiming different things about the Vaults like wealth, power or "some nonsense like friendship" - Marcus the gun dealer, so people that search for these Vaults are called Vault Hunters. You as the player are a Vault Hunter searching for these legendary Vault(s) & that leads the characters to Pandora. Question 3: The Childern of the Vault were a cult led by the villians of Borderlands 3, they conviced (tricked) the bandits of Pandora (like the crazies in the openings) into following their pursuit of the Vaults promising riches & power to those that helped them find & open the Vaults.
Borderlands 2 was peak borderlands honestly. Handsome Jack is an amazing villain you love to hate, entertaining throughout too. I’d say he’s as memorable as Vas in Far Cry. Even all the DLC was great to play. The pre-sequel wasn’t made completely in house so it didn’t do much but bridge the gap between 1 and 2. Still fun but not the same. BL3 scratched the itch but again just didn’t hit the same as 2.
That is always how I describe Handsome Jack, the villain I love to hate. His dialogue with the Vault Hunter (player) is so great. One moment his snark makes you laugh so much, the next moment you only want him to die. I've played everything but the Tales From the Borderlands (because I don't care for the Tales series of games) nor TIny TIna's Wonderland ( because of critic reviews at the time). BL2 and its DLC's is the besterest.
Characters abilities Pre-sequel Wilhelm: drones one of them heals him and the other attacks Athena: she has a sheild to protect herself and to throw Nisha: she can use 2 guns CL4P-TP: has every abilitie Borderlands 1 Mordecai: his bird will kill near by bandits Lilith: will turn invisible Ronald: has a turret Brick: will be stronger and can kill anyone with just his fist Borderlands 2 Axton: has a turret Maya: can make enemies float Salvador: can use 2 guns Zer0: can become invisible and throw a hologram Gaige: has a robot buddy Krieg: gets crazier and for every kill his health heals Borderlands 3 FL4K: he has pets one of them gives him speed the other gives him strength and the other regenerates him and he can turn invisible and has rakks Moze: she has her robot friend iron bear and iron bear has many weapons Amara: she can levitate enemies and has other siren abilities Zane: he has a sheild, a drone , a hologram (ex: if he leaves his hologram on one side of the room and if he is on the other side and then he can teleport to where he place his hologram)
nice to see more borderlands ! next time around you should really react to the various vault hunter trailers for borderlands 3, really explains a bit better what they're about, for now you've only seen the npc and boss intros, not much about the playable characters outside of their little scenes in the intros
All of the Borderlands games follow a similar pattern with the playable characters, except some like most of the Pre-Sequel characters and the DLC ones. There is always a "Soldier," examples being Wilhelm in Pre-Sequel, Roland in BL1, Axton in BL2, and Zane in BL3. Always a siren, examples being Lilith in BL1, Maya (one of my personal favorites) in BL2, and Amara in BL3. They also got some tanky characters like Brick in BL1, Salvador in BL2, and Moze in BL3. Some characters like I mentioned can be unique, Zer0 in BL2 being very unique, Athena, the Lawbringer girl, and Claptrap from pre-sequel are all quite unique, and Beastmaster from BL3 is probably the most different. Sorry for the horribly organized comment, hope this was some interesting information, much love. Glad you guys reacted to some Borderlands, I have loved this series since I was probably 13-ish, I'm 19 now, few and far releases in between games but I'm waiting for 4 patiently :`).
First off: Congratulations on 150k! I'll do my best to answer some of the questions you posed at the end. Regarding the sirens, they are indeed women with powerful abilities; each one of them possessing different powers. There are six of them at any given time, with a new one appearing when one of the six die. They are all a blast to play as, but then just about every vault hunter is! The reason for so many sirens showing up to hunt vaults (one on most of the teams we can play as) is because they are drawn to seek the vaults out subconsciously. The Vaults are believed to be alien weapon caches (during Borderlands 1 and the Pre-Sequel) but are actually alien prisons built by a race called Eridians. The vault hunters are initially a group of people who are drawn to the supposed power and wealth contained within these vaults. Later when the truth about them is revealed the vault hunters instead hunt vaults to take out the monsters that are inside of them before somebody else can set them free for their own evil ends. The Children of the Vault are a recently formed bandit cult who are led by a siren and her twin brother. This part isn't related to your questions, but Handsome Jack is my hands down favorite villain in any game/book/movie, what have you, so it's great to see you two getting more and more into this series! He manages to flip between being hilarious and menacing at the drop of a hat without the change in tone feeling unnatural. His voice actor did a phenomenal job with him.
It is said that only six Sirens can exist at any given time, and when a Siren dies, their powers pass on to another individual. All Sirens are inexplicably drawn to the planet Pandora at some point in their lives. That’s why Sirens are most likely to become Vault hunters. There are some DLC characters that have intros and there’s a choice matters game called Tales from the Borderlands
So the thing about the Sirens, in BL2 there is a small exposition where there are only 6 within the Universe at one time, each one having a different form of phasing, easily identified by the tattoos, and each of them only women. Lilith (BL1) - Phasewalking Maya (BL2) - Phaselocking Angel (not in trailers but in BL2) - Phaseshifting Amara (BL3) - Phasetrance Tyreen (not in trailer but in BL3) - Phaseleeching Last one is unknown as they only showed 5 different phase powers within the game series. There was a comic that supposedly showed the sixth but the powers were never revealed. Fun part, when a Siren dies, the powers gets transferred to another female within the universe at random.
The thing about the sirens is that there is only, and always, 6 of them in the entire universe at any given time, and they are always female. One of them was the main antagonist of Borderlands 1 if I'm not mistaken (didn't play that one) and another, Lilith, was one of the playable characters. Lilith is also one of the main NPCs in the story of Borderlands 2 and 3. If it wasnt obvious already, every siren has her own unique brand of space magic.
For people who are confused Borderlands The Pre Sequel takes place after the events of the first borderlands but also before the events of Borderlands 2!
I've always loved the Borderlands series since the very start, so I'll try explain the lore a bit. So the planet the games mostly take place on is Pandora. It was once home to an Alien race called the Eridians who were basically super advanced. They had massive vaults that housed anything from endless wealth to power in any form imaginable. Each vault was protected by a monster as a sort of guard dog. Vault hunters were basically people who existed to find and open these vaults and claim whatever was inside, since the Eridians had basically disappeared. Sirens are sort of descendants to the Eridians. They're cosmically chosen and can inherit powers from one siren to another upon their death. Only 6 can be alive in Borderlands' universe at any given stage, and as if the games, we've seen 5 of them. (Lilith, Maya, Amara and the antagonists of 3, Tyreen and Troy). Originally, Sirens could only be female, but it was later changed in 3 with a male Siren named Troy. When not pillaging vaults, there's a whole other sect of stuff happening. Like the endless corporate war with the in-universe arms dealers, Handsome Jack and his dictatorship in 2 and the Bandits and Psychos who live on Pandora (the gas-mask wearing shirtless guys). 2 also introduced 2 other playable characters. Gaige and Krieg. Gaige is a high-schooler with a robot companion named Deathtrap and Krieg is a "friendly" Psycho who *really* loves meat bicycles. There was also a really cool spin-off called Tales from the Borderlands, revolving around a Hyperion bureaucrat and a Pandorian swindler. There's also a movie coming out this year.
Amara is my favorite of the Sirens to play as in the whole series. I find that she matches my playstyle the most. Other than that, I tend to play the soldier class, and Axton was my favorite of that class. Not because I especially like the character or anything, but just because his ability felt really effective and satisfying to use.
The best part to me is how they use mostly The heavy songs for the intros after borderlands 1. The best one is when they use "how you like me now", after you kill Handsome Jack at the end of 2, which is the best possible sp g to hesr after I tomahawked Jack as the Commando, even tho letting Lilith do it was much for fitting bc of what he did to Roland, she deserved her revenge.
You can tell a lot about people based on their Vault Hunters. I played: Roland Athena Axton And Moze Sirens are Naturally all Female but there is 1 male one who is a twin. Only 7 Sirens can exist at one time. Vaults are complicated. Said to hold treasure but often are prisons for dangerous beasts.
There are individual trailers for the Borderlands 3 vault hunters and also trailers for additional vault hunters from Borderlands 2(Krieg) and The Pre-Sequel(Aurelia)
In 3 my favorite is the Gunner, because I mostly play solo, and her Bear is a life saver when being overwhelmed; you call it and destruction ensues. Double powered with Homing Rockets is a beautiful spectacle on PS5 with all the sparks and explosions 🤩
The Dog like beast in the intros are called Skags, they breed like rabbits, have the aggression of a Crocodile and the eating habits of a tiger shark (meaning they eat literally everything). Cl4P-TRP or ClapTrap is a robot made by the Hyperion company, they were designed to be a type of helper bot but were found to be extremely annoying, the Claptrap unit you play in the Pre-Sequal is the last functional model (still super annoying, doubt many on Pandora feel too bad about the Claptraps being wiped out).
I think a playthrough of Tales of the borderlands (one of those story games all about choosing dialogues and actions with different outcomes) would really clarify some stuff about the Borderlands world... And also as is trademark for this series, be funny as hell
Fun Fact: There can only be 6 Sirens in existence at one time. Once a Siren dies, she can choose to pass her powers onto a certain individual or the powers find someone else to go to. There’s also a 7th Siren but legend says, (in Borderlands lore), no one should seek the 7th out.
Think of each planet as being alive ( Mother Earth like ) the Vaults are sort of their hearts and each vault is protected by a massive beast. Jack wants to gain control of the vaults. That is as far on that as I will say for spoilers. As some one else mentioned there are six Sirens, there can only be six at one time and they are always female. When one dies if they have not chosen a successor for the power than the power will randomly select the next successor. Again as far as I want to go for spoiler reasons. The sirens in the three games that are playable: Lillith in the first, Maya in the second and Amara in the third.
Siren: Six superwomans and each one have a different power. Some are friends, other are enemies. If one dies, other woman receive their power. Vault: Alien treasures around the universe, each one is like a super tech or some type of power, for example teleport across the universe, with the Vault of the Traveller Vault Hunters: Basically people that hunt the vaults Children of the Vault: A type of cult that is the main antagonist of Borderlands 3 (Spoiler: They have this name because the two heads of the cult are children of the first Vault Hunter) Zer0: It is in the middle of an alien/robot
Really fun franchise, took me by surprise. A lot better than I expected, there was a trailer for the first one, it was one of the first things I downloaded. It was a serious epic grim trailer with the matrix " you are gonna need guns A lot of guns" and then the rows of guns, and it was in that more real than real like graphics. As it's obvious they did not stick with that the next trailer had some of the same Scenes but now in cel shading and more humor
Something not mentioned here that needs to be: zane is related to two main series bosses you fight in borderlands 1 and 2. And he's somehow the youngest (if I'm wrong, he was for sure the middle, but if memory serves right, he's the youngest of 3)
The planet that Borderlands takes place on is called Pandora. Which is a suitable name since, in the first game, there's just the one vault and it's like the core of the planet. At least, that's what I got out of it from just playing the game. To me, Borderlands will always be a happy go lucky, FPS, ARPG with multiplayer and a TON of options when it comes to classes and maps to play. My favorite class is the Mechromancer and my favorite campaign is the island of Dr.Ned DLC. :)
ah borderlands. this series has so much to them. sirens and their powers are basically gifts. when one sirem passes they choose who gets their powers. only 6 can exist in the universe at any given moment. but there is some story talking about not to awaken the 7th siren. childten of the vault are troy and tyreen calypso. both which are sirens. literally the only male siren is troy. but its cause he was a conjoined twin with his sister.
17:00 What is Zer0? Good questions :P And his ability is different from Lilith's, Lilith actually phases out of this reality/dimension as a form of teleportation. Zer0 has technology to turn invisible whilst leaving behind a holographic decoy, it only looks like teleporting to other people.
The "vault" is an ancient alien relic holding incredible power, everyone wants their hands on the vault. the vault hunters are trying to get it to protect evil from having it. also sirens are all females and there can only be 6 sirens in the world, basically they are magical from birth and are super rare and powerful. its an awesome game, awesome story, all the games tie into each other and take place in the same universe.
So Sirens are born to random people but there are only i believe 6 at any given time in the universe. Each siren has their own version of an ability. Vaults are well vaults but there made by an ancient long dead race of aliens full of treasure and loot. The children of the vault are a cult lead by an evil pair of siren twins and Vault hunters are basically mercenary treasure hunters who sometimes tend to do good things along the way like a hyper violent Indiana Jones. Also advise looking up Meat Bike for two. Best character intro ever
The sirens are a special story element, there can only be a few at a time. The vaults got loot that can be sold for money, vault hunter find vaults. Children of the vault are just a cult in BL3. Most of the people are crazy because the planet sucks and you need to be crazy to go there in the first place. Any other questions, ask and you will receive.
In bl2 there are 2 additional vault hunters called gaige and creig, gaige can sommon a death robot to fight with her (which in every borderlands game, there are skill trees and gaige was BROKEN in bl2). And creig is a phsyco like what you see in those trailers who also in the lore had a crush on maya (the siren in bl2).
Borderlands always had the best intros. It was good to see the dog animal not die that one time and be part of the team. The sirens were always so sexy hot. That last one walks up to the team in the end with that sexy girl sway swagger like a goddess on Pandora.
Fun fact: If you select Cl4P-TP in the Pre-Sequel the game will actually try to persuade you to not choose him when in actuality he's the most versatile player in the game.
But in exchange for that versatility you have to play as Clap Trap so is it really worth it 🤣.
And don’t forget you can’t go upstairs
And if I remember, he's completely focused on making everyone else better, so he sucks solo.
Hes actually quite strong I love his torgue builds.
I really hope you guys give Borderlands 2's "Meat Bicycle For Two" trailer a shot. It is so damn entertaining.
Seconded
It’s shiny, it’s fleshy, it’s a 2-sEATer, THE MEAT BICYCLE
Yeah that’s definitely my favorite
I think they already did
Yes please!
Borderlands 2 will always have a place in my heart it made my childhood

Same... except I was a grown-ass adult when I played it... but it was the best game I've ever played in my life.
Fun fact: Salvador is the only playable vault hunter born on Pandora. The other vault hunters are from different planets
@@77dris Same. Too old for it to be part of my childhood. But, I've got all the games on Steam and revisit them from time to time. Currently, playing through borderlands 2 again.

*"Welcome to Pandora, kiddos."*
I would eat jacks prime rib no hesitation
To be honest, I never was a typical "Shooter" Guy, more like a RPG / Adventure Guy.
But playing Borderlands 1 made me fell in love with the series at almost an instant.
They have incredible dialog and a nice kind of humor, which sets them apart from other Shooter-Games^^
😎👍😀
There's 4 more trailers that you can see for the DLC vault hunters that weren't shown in the original intros. We've got Gaige the Mechromancer, Krieg the Psycho, Aurelia the Baroness and Jack the Doppelganger.
Aurelia trailer is coolest beside said.
Love krieg
Nice. Thanks for letting us know 😀

Bur Aurelia trailer also show us some story - very short episode but story, nоt disjoint set of fragments.
Having met Colleen Clinkenbeard who voices Lilith and Tannis, and her randomly saying of Tannis's insane lines nearly had me on the floor laughing.
Can't forget she voiced Captain Scarlet the pirate queen.
Was she a nice person to meet? Did you enjoy meeting her?
Well, that's something our player characters have to find out for themselves. ;)
Borderlands really was a fixation of mine for quite a while lol.
There are 6 or 7 siren powers passed down ( not sure if the 6th was locked
Away or if there was a 7th and they got forgotten) but basically when one siren dies their powers Go to the new siren. We have seen 5 siren powers so far. Liliths, mayas (passed to Ava), amara, tannis, and tyreen ( inherited the power that was locked a
Way in a vault).
Also the vaults are usually prisons for ancient creatures locked away for their destructive power but also contain some riches but mostly they’re to keep the vault monsters locked up.
The Pre sequel today would be fun, at launch it had its issues mainly with one time boss fights and no way to go back and farm which was the worst thing they could’ve which is why tps got all that hate when it first launched
But 2k Australia made that game so everyone has Australian accents which is funny because the joke with that was. Everyone on the moon spoke with an Australian accent
It’s a great game now and I’d highly recommend Wilhelm or Athena, claptrap was nerfed a little too hard so playing him will be a little more difficult.
Nisha is pretty easy and probably one of the best because she gets auto aim and crazy crit damage. Pretty braindead if you ask me but for sure fun
Wilhelm, Athena, jack, auralia are all pretty fun characters to play
😎👍🙂 Hmm, not sure why it only focused on music intros either for video we chose 🤔
Borderlands 4 was officially announced today, while looking at the teaser trailer for the 10th today I came across this video, honestly it made my day.
Brought a few tears to my eyes as BL is probably my favorite Franchise.
same, i love Borderlands so much due to the gameplay. i love looting stuff.
Borderlands is one of my favorite game series, they are so over the top and fun and the humor is just unmatched if u enjoy that kind of humor.
We do enjoy that kind of humor 😁
Interesting. 🤔 Thanks for the lore on Sirens and the vault 😀
interesting thing about the pre-sequel: it plays between borderlands 1 and 2. in borderlands 2 you meet some of the presequel chars... as enemies u have to kill. also a common thing in the series is that the chars from previous games appear as npcs in the later games and some even die there
Thanks for the info on the pre sequel 🙂
Not Mordekai though! please tell me that he makes it!
No idea if you guys are still checking here, but the intros for Tales from the Borderlands are all fantastic
😎👍🙂 The one game in the series we haven’t seen anything from yet
“Technically” yes there once was a male siren, but that was only because he was a conjoined twin with the real siren. In the games they were since separated with himself being the only one to lose anything (his arm). He did end up sharing the siren power his sister had but I think it was severely less powerful. His ability was called “phaseleech” and pretty much allowed him and his sister to leech powers from others.
😎👍🙂
hmm dont know much about Borderlands 3 and the male siren Twin. but it would be cool if after when he died his powers would start to carry on to another male and we would have a male siren in BL4 if it ever comes out.
@@daytonhuth3622 i thought it was 6 sirens and the outlier was #7, cant remember tho, been ages since ive played
What about troy
Well there are ways for a male Siren to exist, as we have seen with Troy. They are very unstable and short-lived without interference however.
@Izzy Troy and Tyreen were born conjoined, which is how he got his powers (and why he doesn't have an arm). So he was technically born a siren, but the powers are slowly killing him which is why he has to absorb siren power to stabilize himself.
And at least 4 of 6 we can see on Pandora while B1 & B2 timeline. Universe is big but 66% of sirens goes to one planet. Like bees to honey...
So Sirens seem like they play a very important part in the game especially since only 6/7 in the world and the last one is hidden for some reason 🤔
@@DefinitelyNotDefinitiveGames Not just in the world, in the entire galaxy.
Love when you guys watch Borderlands!!!
3:22 *I suppose it's important to point out that while this game does take place after the 1st Borderlands, so you could call it a sequel.*
*BUT, it also takes place before Borderlands 2, so you could call it a prequel. So in other words, it's technically a "Pre-Sequel".*
Handsome Jack in Borderlands 2 is an AMAZING villain who thinks he’s the good guy and your a bunch of bandits. He also heckles you the whole game
Borderlands' cover art has a bandit making a finger gun at his head, borderlands 2 he has both hands, so the devs made the joke during the thirds development that they can't release it till they figure out how to engineer a three armed bandit.
What I love about all of them is that the last/4th vault hunter is something other than what they actually are,
“Claptrap as a mistake” even though his ability gives him a random ability
“Brick as himself” He is basically the tank
“Zer0 as a number” is an assassin which is why he can go invisible”
“Zane as himselves” and he is like an operative because he can send out a clone of himself and other things to help himself or friends
Borderlands 2 has the best intro in gaming ever... and a lot of it has to do with that amazing song.
You got no idea how much I love these intros how special they are to me.
Zer0 will always be immortalised as one of my favourite video game characters
Yeah as you saw Sirens are basically in every game except Pre-sequel. In the Borderlands universe they are an incredibly small group of women possessing supernatural abilities. They are the key to unlocking vaults (massive alien treasure troves) and there can only ever be 6 Sirens at any one point in time
They are EXTREMELY badass
If you ever get into looking at the Borderlands series, know that Jack is a real piece of work.
We’ve heard he’s one of best characters not just in this game but in gaming 😎🤟
Him and vaas, best villains of 20teens and onward.
been waiting for this! thank you guys!
You had quite a few questions at the end, my best answer is to play the games, Experiencing the lore is so much better than just hearing about it.
😎👍🙂
FL4K and CL4P-TP are both hyperion robots(you can tell by the color of their chassis with both of them being "hyperion yellow")
Fun fact the band in the pree sqeual trailer is actualy a austrailian band
It makes me furious that they watched the pre sequal before the first
Sirens are a race of beings that have been within the Borderlands universe for thousands of years.
Vaults are portols 2 acent wizdom & godlike monsters vaults are pocket demensions
Bl3, best gun play, aaand worst everything else... Reason why the series ended in 2
Story wise, the rough timeline is Borderlands 1 (Released in 2009), the Pre-Sequel (even if the first in-game cinematic is set after the end of BL2 - Released in 2014), Borderlands 2 (Released in 2012) and then Borderlands 3 (Released in 2019).
😎👍🙂
Ultimately, Borderlands revolves completely around the vaults. The ultimate goal is oriented around finding and getting into vaults because of the extreme power promised by doing so. So it's a place of unimaginable danger and power scattered on worlds around the galaxy.
I'm excited to see yall play the borderland series!!!!!
Best channel ever
I hope you guys do all the Borderlands trailers at some point, they're super entertaining!
How do Sirens get chosen? Do you have to kill a Siren to be a Siren 🤔
How have you not played these games.......?.......C'mon these are Legends..........
To answer your questions:
Question 1: The Sirens a group of 6 women in the universe that posses supernatural abilities within the Borderlands Universe, a person can have Siren powers from birth (like with Lilith the red headed Siren) or can be passed on to another (we've seen characters that didn't start as Sirens gain Siren powers later on after a Siren died, we don't know the method yet).
BL2 and its DLC's is the besterest.
the sirens are my favourite too. they’re the “mage class” of Borderlands and are the most powerful and significant characters in their world.

Amara: she can levitate enemies and has other siren abilities
Zane: he has a sheild, a drone , a hologram (ex: if he leaves his hologram on one side of the room and if he is on the other side and then he can teleport to where he place his hologram)
Borderlands 2 is an amazing game that me and my friends are playing again and it still holds up as a very fun experience
They're making a _Borderlands_ movie, so that might be worth keeping an eye on!
nice to see more borderlands ! next time around you should really react to the various vault hunter trailers for borderlands 3, really explains a bit better what they're about, for now you've only seen the npc and boss intros, not much about the playable characters outside of their little scenes in the intros
Vault hunters are people lookin 2 open the vaults everyone u play as is a vault hunter!
Don't forget 'Meat Bicycle Built for Two' which is a BL2 vid introducing a playable character that was added in DLC, Krieg.
So the thing about the Sirens, in BL2 there is a small exposition where there are only 6 within the Universe at one time, each one having a different form of phasing, easily identified by the tattoos, and each of them only women.
Lilith (BL1) - Phasewalking
Maya (BL2) - Phaselocking
Angel (not in trailers but in BL2) - Phaseshifting
Amara (BL3) - Phasetrance
Tyreen (not in trailer but in BL3) - Phaseleeching
Last one is unknown as they only showed 5 different phase powers within the game series. There was a comic that supposedly showed the sixth but the powers were never revealed.
Fun part, when a Siren dies, the powers gets transferred to another female within the universe at random.
Man I could talk borderlands all day my 2nd favorite game series of all time
Super excited to watch this video :D
Sirens are basically the "magic" class of the group.
I played:
Roland
Athena
Axton
And Moze
Sirens are Naturally all Female but there is 1 male one who is a twin.
Borderlands is easily top 5 of my favorite games and Zer0 will always my favorite Vault Hunter
In 3 my favorite is the Gunner, because I mostly play solo, and her Bear is a life saver when being overwhelmed; you call it and destruction ensues. Double powered with Homing Rockets is a beautiful spectacle on PS5 with all the sparks and explosions 🤩
I sometimes go with Cryo Minigun and Speed Boost Flamethrower. I'm currently trying to go for the constant Ammo regeneration, lol.
“Claptrap is my favorite" legit the first time I've ever heard this sentence uttered
For the first time ever (totally 🤣)
And always overdue
I am here to say
YOU GUYS FUGGIN ROCK!! 😊❤️❤️
I think you should check out the little intros in form of tales that Marcus tells before each real intro to the vault hunters
Siren: Six superwomans and each one have a different power. Some are friends, other are enemies. If one dies, other woman receive their power.
Vault: Alien treasures around the universe, each one is like a super tech or some type of power, for example teleport across the universe, with the Vault of the Traveller
Vault Hunters: Basically people that hunt the vaults
Children of the Vault: A type of cult that is the main antagonist of Borderlands 3 (Spoiler: They have this name because the two heads of the cult are children of the first Vault Hunter)
Zer0: It is in the middle of an alien/robot
The thing about Borderlands. Your character might be a "Good Guy" but that doesn't mean they are necessarily "Good People".
Heck yeah! Cool thing about Zero is he only speaks in Haiku. :D
Wooooo borderlands!!!! And super sneaky sundayyyyyssss
ah borderlands. this series has so much to them. sirens and their powers are basically gifts. when one sirem passes they choose who gets their powers. only 6 can exist in the universe at any given moment. but there is some story talking about not to awaken the 7th siren. childten of the vault are troy and tyreen calypso. both which are sirens. literally the only male siren is troy. but its cause he was a conjoined twin with his sister.
17:00 What is Zer0? Good questions :P And his ability is different from Lilith's, Lilith actually phases out of this reality/dimension as a form of teleportation. Zer0 has technology to turn invisible whilst leaving behind a holographic decoy, it only looks like teleporting to other people.
I don't think they ever explain but I like that he speaks in haiku
We do plan to check our meat bicycle for two 🙂
The sirens are a special story element, there can only be a few at a time. The vaults got loot that can be sold for money, vault hunter find vaults. Children of the vault are just a cult in BL3. Most of the people are crazy because the planet sucks and you need to be crazy to go there in the first place. Any other questions, ask and you will receive.
Did you guys do all the Trailers ? Because those are awesome as hell and explain more.
My favourite is Gauge from Borderlands 2, so fun to play
Borderlands is always awesome!
The glasses that hold the wine, was that "Harper Blue" ?
In bl2 there are 2 additional vault hunters called gaige and creig, gaige can sommon a death robot to fight with her (which in every borderlands game, there are skill trees and gaige was BROKEN in bl2). And creig is a phsyco like what you see in those trailers who also in the lore had a crush on maya (the siren in bl2).
Borderlands always had the best intros. It was good to see the dog animal not die that one time and be part of the team. The sirens were always so sexy hot. That last one walks up to the team in the end with that sexy girl sway swagger like a goddess on Pandora.
Only seven sirens can exist in the universe at once
