Welcome to America. Lack of respect for emergency services or too curious to move out of the way. Some states have tow services deemed as emergency vehicles and almost nobody pulls over for them despite having lights and sirens.
Has anyone ever given these R-50 folks a lesson on mechanical siren use? WOW, let it come down now and again. Many folks don’t have high frequencies and can’t hear that siren at full tilt! Run it up, let it come down. Run it up, let it come down. Keep up the good work. Stay safe.
I just realized that you are in the Quarryville area. Rt222 south was looking very familiar and then I saw the ladder truck. Excellent job all around you guys are great!
Peak and holding the Q can damage the clutch. To the point it no longer disengages and becomes a direct drive siren. Also keeping it peaked is ineffective for warning as the high pitch doesn’t penetrate as well.
Nice video. Communication with driver on directions was refreshing to hear. Q usage needs some work. Never keep a Q wound up like that, defeats the purpose of the siren.
Fire engine driver should have opened the fecking door first thing, not start engine and then wait for the fecking door to open,, here in the UK it's Fire house Doors first, then get in engine and start up, makes a few seconds count whilst door is opening and crew getting in and setting out, it would be easy to install a smack button to strike to open doors as he gets to his engine / fire truck
They just drive 2 hours to get to a fire that was extinguished by 4 other crews….You think a few seconds would have made much of a difference getting out of the house
Paul Walsh what makes you think that? Wuhan, China is the epicenter. Every county in the US has a stay at home order, people are only allowed to get essentials
How many miles was that!? 15 minutes for like a 5th engine just so you can stand around and watch a guy mess with a chainsaw? Bet that ride back to the station took a while
There's absolutely NO REASON to wind up a Q when there's NO traffic in front of you. You need to be able to hear radio traffic, and communicate with your crew, not to mention, over time, you'll loose hearing from that. Use it as NEEDED. And yes, you can burn out a Q motor.
ffjsb So what? I could clearly hear the radio and they probably have it in their headsets too. If they get in a crash and they had no Q, it could be their fault. Better to be safe than sorry.
@@megagames3605 They have an electronic siren. At NO TIME is it going to be "their fault" just because they don't have a Q. There are thousands of fire apparatus that don't have a Q, so that's just a ludicrous statement. Responsible defensive driving is ALWAYS the answer, regardless of what kind of siren you have.
@@Fire-Rescue50 I'm very familiar with the he area. Once you are outside the metro Lancaster area you're outside the 5 mile from a firehouse that insurance cos. want and base their fees on. Like the rest of PA it's predominantly volunteer and doubtful you would hit their standards of 12 and 9. I apologize if you thought it was a put down... definitely not. Just a statement as to the issues the fire service faces today... stay safe.
never ceases to amaze me how people wait till the last second to pull over even when the vehicles infront of them pull over they keep going
Brings back fond memories for me. Back in the 80s I was young FF/EMT.Miss those days.
Great driving and excellent co pilot calling out directions. Teamwork!
Also no offense you call it “officer”not co pilot.
Love that Q...
Clearly they do too
Damien Flexer they must not get to hear it much..
0:55 That trucks looks so damn cute in the Reflection
Love the q and powercall siren to
👍🏻👍🏻 Long run! Thanks for taking us along. Stay safe!! 🚒🇺🇸

I feel asleep watching that response. When I woke the first thing I thought was dam neighbor, dam chainsaw.
Keep these videos coming I love these fire truck videos I grew up around fire trucks so please keep them coming
I can't ever bet enough Q sirens
Just shocking how few people actually pull to the side

I respect your job is awesome 😎
my mom: What is that!! Turn it down!! How are your ears not messed up!?
me: Well, I'm built different
Nice! Welcome back Sir
Wow, the FD installed a door in no time at all! Do they do contract work for home renovations too? I might be hiring when I buy a house someday.
You might have to wait 5-7 business days for
them to arrive.
lol
welcome back mate
WOOO WEEE REScUE i like, her engine is GOOOD

Thank you fireman for what you do an making us feel safe keep up the good work. I'm praying the all of you go home safe

imagine getting on scene and the other rigs extinguish the fire right as you get out
It's always fun trying to start that one saw that just won't start lol
11:30 for those who wanna enjoy some red light running
Is your fire company in Lancaster county
thank you for the video safety 1st from liberty ky pops64
That was long response . What’s the furthest y’all go out for a call ?
Great video
I hope someone already secured the power and pulled the meter before you started cutting a new back door? 😂🤣
Fico admirado por quanto é organizado e respeitoso o trânsito norte americano. Parabéns pelo vídeo.
English, turd!
Tankers,if you hate them are still important.lol
Subscribed!
Nice video
Why are you using tankers I saw a hydrant right on the fire street?
Zachary Gotterbarn Tankers are usually assigned to most structure fires
Like mega games said they’re assigned to most fires and they were being used as a back up water supply
Why use a hydrant when you have tankers? Skipping the plug lets everybody come and play!

Oh those silly whirling dervish lights. An eastern affectation.
Those so called 'whirling dervish light' is called a Roto-Ray.
Haha
Great screaming Q and excessive air horns!! Not a bad knock down by that QFD crew either.
Having trouble getting the saw started are we lol , was the saw you're guys or 57s?
Dalton Cypher 57
Your not you’re
rotoray !!!
Nice fotage, but what a the spinning lights at the front end of the truck for?
No house siren going off
What is that thing turning on the front of the truck?? Sort of looks like spotlights.
Cool
wow america not even in lock down no wonder you are now the epic center.
Paul Walsh what makes you think that? Wuhan, China is the epicenter. Every county in the US has a stay at home order, people are only allowed to get essentials
Does Rescue 50 do alo of Mutual aide with other cities and towns in the area?
Richard Schultz yess
How did it start
Maybe I was seeing things, but did the guy on the saw packed up have beaed ?
When are you guys going to get a new Rescue or Truck?
How many miles was that!? 15 minutes for like a 5th engine just so you can stand around and watch a guy mess with a chainsaw? Bet that ride back to the station took a while
Darion Bonnet They were assigned for RIT. There aren’t many companies down near Quarryville.
Did you shut off your munchie lights when you got on scene? I notice your lights aren't on
Get ur little nose spinning boi
With regards to running left out of the station...how far are you allowed to run against the flow of traffic?
To my knowledge, however long they have to of it calls for it
There's absolutely NO REASON to wind up a Q when there's NO traffic in front of you. You need to be able to hear radio traffic, and communicate with your crew, not to mention, over time, you'll loose hearing from that. Use it as NEEDED. And yes, you can burn out a Q motor.
In case traffic is in an intersection that is hidden by trees or other objects as there is not a rumbler on this truck unless it burnt out

^^^ This guy doesn't have a Q on their rig. He's jealous.
Lightening strike?
2:00 Did anyone get the dog?
Where are you from
14+ minutes to get there
They were responding to assist another city/county, which was 15 min away anyway.
It'll be pretty much up in flamezzzz
LOL 15:00 "I hate tankers"
You aint gonna hate them when they're whats bringing you water lol specifically out in Rural areas.
@@ShakeNBake4200 I was just quoting what the guy said. Yes Ik about tankers they are very helpful just laughing at what the engineer said.
Are you a junior firefighter?
No, he's not
Need better chain saw, or needs some tune up.
Again? Why does it take so long to get there? Dont figure
To be honest i work for my states fire dept.
Doubt if they make the 12 men/9 minute requirement
The what?
@@Fire-Rescue50 It comes from national standard recommendations that also recommend that residence and businesses be within 5 miles of a fire station
