When did you hear a screaming Q?!? They cut the entire siren off halfway through the second response and never cut it back on.. that’s such a liability…
@@dabuya I loved the way it started, I guess they cut out the radio traffic telling them to cut back to routine? I just was confused because the lights kept going but the audible warning stopped. The only time we do that here is at night on the way to medical runs to keep from waking the neighbors and since the visible warning is amplified at night. Thanks for replying!

I’m no 22 turning 23 in August and have been driving B-doubles and the odd road train or few for the last 4 years nearly 5.. Not many young blokes are given ago in the industry sadly, I was lucky to have known a few people but if ya young with no experience and don’t know anyone willing to give you a go, it’s tough trying to get a gig even in a MR , HR or even HC let alone MC which I have is near impossible sadly.. (MR - Medium Rigid) (HR - Heavy Rigid) (HC - Heavy Combination (prime mover and 1 trailer)) (MC - Multiple Combination (prime mover with 2 or more trailers))

Actually there are three different sirens in this video! The more police car-like siren, first started up at 0:57 and again at 12:08, is a Powercall siren (electronic). The more traditional "fire truck" siren, which is first heard at 0:58 immediately after the Powercall (and manually wailing throughout the video), and again heard in the second clip starting at 14:12, is a Federal Signal "Q" siren, which is mechanical. Additionally, heard at 10:42, is the siren mounted atop a pole behind the fire station. This is a Federal Signal STH-10, which is also a mechanical siren.
That fire whistle gives me the chills, my town has volleys and whenever I hear the fire whistle, I sprint outside and hope to see them, non the less hear them. Does your fire whistle go out for medical calls? Ours do not sadly, if I did I would be outside once a week waiting for them.
Is this a volunteer department? I'm wondering because in the first part, I saw some of them driving up to the station before getting in the truck, and then there was the aire raid sirens in the second part of the video.
