Dont know why Ineos burned Rowe so early in the Tour... he did end up OTL
LMAO at your aero kit recs for Vingegaard, could Jumbo Visma had a soigneur sitting at the top with a couple of bidons full of lead weights (Le Col branded, of course) to put on Vingegaard's bike for the descent?
I myself am skeptical that Pogačar was really cracked there... as Vingegaard starts to accelerate away, when he is still only 4-5 bike lengths away, you see Pogačar checking over his shoulder as to where the Colombians are and realising he can chase back as a bunch on the descent... if life depended on it I am sure Pogačar would have chased back on to Vingegaard before the summit (though he said otherwise post-race and of course it makes for superior TV drama if he is a bit weak)
Stage design here is a bit interesting... why not make this a mountaintop finish? It would have made for a very different stage

I get that uae would do this. I get that jumbo would do this if roglic was there and did not crash. No sense for ineos to do it. The train just works if you're the leader AND if you have the strongest rider (maybe strongest tt guy from the gc contenders).

Pogacar did the same mistake as Bernal did in the Giro. He got carried away when someone attacked him.
