It all depends on the shop. Some Harley shops will work with your and not void your warranty and flag the motor. Me, I bought my tike used, got the 1 year warranty, then when it was almost done (9 months), I took it to another shop to tune the heck out of it. They said, they work with the local HD shop and if you tell them that you have the work done a shop x, they won't plug in and void it. Well, that didn't happen. They flagged my motor for 3 months. Oh well, warranty is over, and my stage 2 1/2 is a beast 103HP and 130Torque. Screw the dealership.
I have heard similar stories in the past but I tell you, I was told about All American Cycle by the staff at the dealer - I had an oil pump replaced under warranty and a throttle body - all under warranty and with the knowledge tat I had tuned with Power Vision Tuner - they didn't plug in to my ecm and I still have 3 months left of warranty on my 22 Road Glide Special Stage II - I am NOT sponsored by All American Cycle in any way - I just came across an honest mechanic (hard to find these days)
@@jm1797 this is where he bought it I will be 100% honest - it is great if you’re going to park the bike for a couple of weeks you put it in there right after you clean it and it will stay spotless and dust free. It takes about 10 minutes to put the bike in 10 minutes to take the bike out. You have to wait till the bike is cold It is a one-man operation, but two people make it faster.
