Ran same lift on my 2019 trailboss same tire size -19 offset rims. Had to trim and remove plastic bracket holding wheel liners. 70k miles no issues. Will be doing same on the 24 trailboss I just purchased.
i had the 1.75” level kit on my 2020 trailboss for about 2 years and i didnt have any issues at all untill i hit a moose. i just the sst plus 2 kit installed on my 23 trail boss i am running 285/60/20 tires with 20x10 -19 fuel rims and it doesnt really rub at all i am happy so far
Did you need any spacers on the new tires with factory wheels? I have 35/12.5R18 with factory rims but the tires are to big because of the control arm. Any ideas how big of a spacer i'll need?
I went back to the installer and had him check everything out and he said he checked everything to make sure it was tight. I also had other places check as well.
@@MrCharlieBoy18 I have the 22 refresh with a leveling kit and knock on wood all good no issues so not sure other than things not being tight. That’s the only real cause of the popping I’ve heard.
It's interesting Readylift told you you wouldn't need any spacers to run 285/75r18 on the OE wheels. They told me I'd need 3/8"-1/2" spacers. Same truck, same trim, same kit, same wheels.
Thats good to know, cause I actually called them before buying the tires and they told me that they would fit. That's the only reason I went with that size. Thanks for the info!
I have a 21 Chevy Silverado 1500 I also did the ready lift on it 3 and 1/2 in the front three in the back I also had the popping noise coming from the driver side tire found out it was the upper control arm bolt came loose I highly recommend checking it might hasn't pop since retighten it
Thanks for letting me know. I will check it myself, cause when I took it back they said it was fine, but it’s hard to trust quality of work these days.
The pop maybe a lose bolt somewhere regarding the alignment bolts that maybe loose. I had that with the truck at stock stock… but after a front end crash and after everything was fixed. Mine was the alignment shop did not tighten all the bolts
I will definitely check those. I did just recently change out my sway bar linkage brackets, because they were rubbing the cv axle in turns, but I don't think that was the popping issue. The weird thing is, I haven't been hearing the popping issue lately, since I added weight to the back with a heavier tonneau cover and a bed rack.
@@zachattackcustomshave you figured put the popping noise? I did a 3.5 coil lift from rough countrt on my Trailboss and im also hearing the poping sound when turning. Also what sway bar relocater did you go with? Thanks!
I had some popping issues, and one day my tie rod came apart. I believe it's an installation matter. Dealer fixed it and claimed the tie rods were to short for lift. I don't believe that. It's them making excuses.
Hi Zach, I’m looking at a lift or level. Particularly the one you did sst kit from ready lift. My question is because I’ve seen mixed reviews. Did you lose the ability to use Auto 4wd because of the CV angle? I want to use the auto 4wd. Look forward to hearing back
Great looking truck!! I just picked up a 2021 TB.. Going with the same lift. Can you please let me know what drop down steps you are running? Yours seem to hug the pinch weld much closer than the ones I am finding. Thanks!
Thanks for watching! Yea I think they are the best looking Drop steps on the market and luckily they are $70 off right now. I now a running the amp power boards, but loved the look of the drop steps. Here is the link to the Nfab Predator Pro Steps I used to have: imp.i128439.net/QyXKZ3
Thanks, man! Yea, I'm on the fence right now with the Amps.. I'll probably go that route eventually as well.. Trying to convince myself I dont need to buy everything I want for it in one week..Ha! Thanks again!
I understand. I will say, I have done a lot of installs and mods and the power steps are my favorite upgrade that I have done on my channel. I will never have any other running boards on future trucks after having them. Again thanks for watching! @@landlockedbeachbum242
Nice looking truck. I have a '21 black TB and a '22 Zl1 in Red Hot. I am looking to do the same ReadyLift SST kit, already did the mud flap delete, and added 2" wheel spacers to give the factory tires a little poke. I personally like the factory wheels so I will be keeping them, just going a bit bigger on the tires once the factory tires need replaced.
Left my comment before the end. I swapped out my sst for a 7 inch Rough country. My rack and pinion needed to be replaced. I I didn’t hear popping though. The RC installers said it looked like an Install issue, but now that you’ve heard popping I’m thinking it could be a design issue?
That’s from their leveling kit, so I called them before I bought the tires to ask because it doesn’t say that on the SST kit but they said it’s the same tire size specs.
@@zachattackcustoms I bought the 4 inch sst for my gmc Sierra I guess the wheel wells are smaller so they said the max for me is 295/55r20 with 0 offset . Hoping I don’t have any rub issues because that’s what I ordered on custom offsets
Thanks for the update! Yea I hate that I am having this problem cause I love the look of it but it seems to be getting worse. I am surprised other people that have shown video on this lift haven’t had this problem. I feel like the only way to find out my problem for sure is to wait for something to break lol. Thanks again!
I actually had the ball joint replaced cause that is what readylift thought it was. It's really weird, it goes away during the winter colder months and then the popping comes back during the summer hotter months. I have just learned to deal with it, cause it seems no one can figure it out. I am just waiting for something to break to figure out the problem unfortunately.
You can probably go a little wider with these tires if you have the factory control arms because they don’t stick out as much, but I don’t think you would be able to go as tall.
Just installed this on my trail boss back in May with 275/70/18 stock wheel. Did you happen to notice how sensitive the steering is at high speeds? Just curious if it’s me or something with the kit. Barely takes any kind of nudge to really move lane to lane.
I did the lift first, I felt that I lost about 1mpg with that. The tires made the bigger difference, I feel that I lost about 2mpg going with 35's. If you are worried about mpg, I would maybe only upgrade from the factory 32's to a 33inch tire.

Thanks, I put the lift on before I switched tires and I noticed no difference in ride quality, but the Nitto’s were a huge upgrade in my opinion. Usually when you go with bigger tires they are noisier but not with the recons. Much quieter and smoother. I can’t believe Chevy puts those duratracs on their trucks, they are terrible!
Just finished taking off the mud flaps and have verified it is not the mud flaps like one dealer told me.

Where you buy you level kit.
@chupon1313 I actually bought it on Amazon.
Ready lift makes a quality product. I ran the 4 inch sst kit for a year on my Silverado. Felt like stock with nitto ridge graps.
Thanks for the info going to look into it 👍
Did you need any spacers on the new tires with factory wheels? I have 35/12.5R18 with factory rims but the tires are to big because of the control arm. Any ideas how big of a spacer i'll need?
The popping a lot of time can be from not everything being tight so possibly have your installer check and make sure everything is fully tight.
I went back to the installer and had him check everything out and he said he checked everything to make sure it was tight. I also had other places check as well.
Mine is a refreshed 2023 with 7000 miles and it pops as well but no modifications…completely stock
Interesting, have you taken it anywhere to get looked at? If so, did they give you any clues to what it might be?

I had the same popping noise on my trailboss and it was the bolts where you make the alignment not tight that was causing it
Sway bar end links that’s what mine was 😎👍

Did you have those scoring marks in the metal like he shows ? I have those also and the same noise
I have the same truck and have been looking to lift it ! Awesome video thanks for the info
Glad to help out! Thanks for watching!
It pop because Chevy is a pos front end parts must change out all parts to aftermarket parts
The popping noise might be the sway bar needing the spacer adapter, or possibly the spring in the strut being loose or not seated right.

Have you noticed the rear end skipping out to the side over bumps in the road at cruising speeds?
I actually do recall having that sometimes before I installed the road active suspension. I have not noticed it since then.
I say the popping noise is the control arm bolt. That’s what my issue was.

@chasesalazar7678 you'll be fine with that size. I'm running 285/75r18 without the lift in my Trail Boss and only have a slight rub.

Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Probably will never get use to the electric power steering in these trucks.
