Received my kit a few days ago, LCD conversion kit wasn't working, ordered a new one on Amazon, everything works fine now. Contacted customer service, and returned the conversion kit for a refund. This entire assembly was easy, and worth the money. It has so many great games, and my son. loves it
Same thing happened to me today. What was the process for the refund and why didn't you just get a replacement from arcademodup? Looks like i'm gonna ask them to replace everything because the pins came in damaged and I tried fixing it only to see a white then black screen after hooking it up and I had to turn the raspberry pi off unproperly because I had no choice . I already contacted them just now about the incident, so do i just ship out the converter kit & board to the address they sent it from?
Had a converter that was not compatible with my monitor , returned only the converter out of a $300 order and now they will not let me order anything else from them ,No explanation given ?
I had the white screen of death and I spent two hours on the internet troubleshooting till I found this video, the part where you take the LCD controller board off the metal, short, and attach it to the wooden part of the monitor was all the difference, thank you for these troubleshooting videos
I received my 4 player tmnt mod pack Monday the 8th. And let me tell you it works like a champ. Now I did have to go into the control board and move one of the usb encoders because the USB cable was sticking too far out and wouldn't fit in my cabinet. Other than that. It works great. Thank you Arcademodup.
For the speaker connector on the right side of the board it has 4 pins, I assume that L/R for each speaker? My audio is very low on the 3.5mm output and was wondering if the speaker connection is amplified? Thanks.
what if we wanted to plug in a vga monitor, would we need to change some resolution settings on the Raspberry Pie? do you guys have instructions for that? I have a VGA to Mirco HDMI cable.
Just subscribed. Got my kit a couple days ago. The games show up on my monitor but everything is sideways. How do I rotate the screen?? I have installed the kit on my Pac-man 40th Anniversary
Great video dude but I have a question. So I put the red wire to the right just like you said and pushed down on all the pins yet it still only gives me a white screen. Everything is secured but again it’s white. However, I noticed that the converter board heats up extremely quickly and I don’t know if that’s a ok sign. What do you think I should do?
hi there, I have these two other connectors on my monitor (Same model as yours in the video). each connector has a blue and white cable. Not sure where they go on this new inverter board. Any help? Thanks in advance!
Any chance you could make a video about adding games to arcademodup kit? It's got a crazy amount of games, but it's missing a handful of my favorites from my childhood that I would love to put on there and I don't want to mess anything up.
I just got my first Arcade1Up cab last week. I'm looking to modify mine and one of the first things I've been researching is for a control board or likewise to either split the video signal or something with an HDMI Out for capturing/streaming. I haven't removed my stock controller from the back on the monitor to take a look and it seems you'll be more familiar with this. What's the best way to split the video signal on these?
So, every installation video shows the LCD controller stuck to the back of the screen mount. It wouldn't have been a problem with the thick double-sided tape they sent, except the grounding screw extended out past the tape. My LCD controller sparked and damaged my screen, which took a lot of time and money to replace. Now everything is installed with the controller just hanging, which I hate because I'm a little OCD, but the cables are too short to mount on the wood. Now I have a new issue. I think the spark reset the firmware, and my screen appears to be forced into 1280x1024 instead of 1280x960. There are 64 lines at the bottom of the screen that are just repeating the top 64 lines. I've contacted customer service a few times about this, but it still isn't fixed.
How is your joystick working after changing the lcd control board. I try doing mine but I don’t know where to plug the cable that goes from the joystick to the original board. If I change the lcd controller and I plug everything, how do I get the joystick control to work? Help please
What if I accidentally plugged the connector wrong the first time? I Had the red wire facing the right side. Tried plugging it in the right way and I have no screen.
I have a question my screen is all most centered it's off by about 5 percent . My question is how can I move the screen over to make it perfect ....thanks for any help
You have the wrong LCD converter for your screen type. They are different resolutions. There's not any way to make it work. You need to swap the converter from wherever you purchased it.
So you are saying we can connect any monitor and all we have to do is by pass that LCD board and just connected directly to the Raspberry pie? Need help 👋🏼
What’s the the problem when the lcd converter is flashing red? And not powering up? I have tried connecting direct doesn’t work. But the marqee lights up fine alone. I also see you don’t have a ground cable on that converter. Can my ground be a issue?
Found this video cuz I just purchased one and still can’t get it to work. I mean it’s pretty full proof. Just the main lcd connector, ground, and the 4 wire power cable. Seems like there is no way to mess anything up but of course mine has none stop rainbow colors. Tried absolutely everything. Tried 360, pc, ps5, ps4 switch. 4 different hdmi cables. Even bought a $50 hdmi. Non stop rainbow colors wether the hdmi is plugged in or not. I guess these are a waste of money or I got a bad one. Any suggestions would be helpful or this is getting returned. It’s driving me crazy. There is no trouble shooting about the flashing 4 colors
Having issues with mine from the left side there is a pin missing in the 3rd position from to left, looked at the pcb an looks as though it's a blank as there is no solder on pcb but saying that still have the issue that I have a back gnd wire in that position so wonder if they have wired the loom from factory wrong and that's why I've got no video or visual!! Any ideas anyone ?
How do I get my arcade mod kit to look like yours? I have the space invaders arcade 1 up with your $375 kit (+/-) but it looks more like an old computer vs the logos thst go side to side? Also - I love the kit! I’m an amateur but installing the kit was very easy! Working the Pi is my next course.
When I put your new 19 monitor in, the new monitor does not power down when shutting down the raspberry Pie like the old one did ( goes to the rainbow screen) is there a setting on the hdmi controller to fix this?
My one up was working and now I have nothing on my screen and the control board has red led.. I unplug the power source it light up green and turns red after connecting power... screen says no signal. Any ideas??
I ordered the bundle kit and installed everything but when I play two players on tetris or any racing game the b button to the second player moves on its own. Is the board I bought bad or am I missing something here? Thanx
@@arcademodup2286 ok, great! But I will need a VGA or DVI cable to connect it to the raspberry pi, right? Just wanna make sure what I need to order for your kit
@@AdAce21 Correct. If it has a vga or dvi you will need an "active" adapter from that connection to hdmi. Just type something like vga to hdmi active adapter in amazon and you will be good.
Well thanks guys. I followed the instructions exactly and now my monitor only turns white and I tried reinstalling my mortal Kombat arcade 1up back to the monitor and now it won't even work with that. My unit was working perfectly fine and your LCD converter blew my monitor.
Plug the kit into another tv or monitor so you can play over the weekend. Open a support ticket on the website and they can help. It is a wiring issue. Send pics of your wiring with support ticket.
Okay, so you can probably help me because you briefly touched on it at the end. I have that same double screen thing at the bottom of my screen and I’m using a Final Fight cab. How can I fix that myself?
You need a different converter (or that one flashed). Basically you have a gen2 cabinet/monitor, but your lcd converter is flashed for the resolution of a gen 3 like tmnt or marvel.
@@Lastbenevolencemusic You have to have a special tool to flash them. We have you put in what cabinet you have when ordering so we send the correct one.
