Initially, the company sought licenses for the early 1970s and 1980s arcade games from Namco, Midway, and Atari, then later added games from the 1990s and beyond. Most systems ship with between two and twelve games from the same family or genre of games that shared the same control set; for example, their Pac-Man cabinet includes Pac-Man Plus, while Centipede includes three other Atari games that used trackball controls, Millipede, Missile Command, and Crystal Castles. The control panels are modeled based on the original games. For multiplayer fighting and brawler games that support more than two players, such as the four-player Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the smaller scale of the cabinet had initially created problems with players crowding around the controls. Arcade1Up created special full-size controller decks to give enough room for each player to have space at the cabinet. Where possible, Arcade1Up has added remote multiplayer functionality via Wi-Fi connections.
The company has since branched to other product offerings. It offers smaller sized "counter-cades" that can be set on a bar or table, typically which ship with a single game. It also offers sit-down table cabinets for head-to-head games.
In June 2020, Arcade1Up in partnership with Zen Studios announced the first in its line of 3/4th-scale replica pinball machines, using Zen Studios' pinball video game software played out on a monitor. Zen Studios, which had already acquired licenses to develop pinball tables based on Marvel and Star Wars properties, provided these tables for Arcade1Up's hardware. The company also acquired the license for replica light gun games, starting with Big Buck Hunter. They released their first sit-down style cabinet including steering wheel controls in November 2020 for the game Outrun.
The continued rising interest in retro gaming helped Arcade1Up to strong sales, and by May 2020 they had sold their one millionth unit. They also saw a large surge in sales at the COVID-19 pandemic started in March 2020, forcing many people to be quarantined at home and turning to video games as a pastime. From March to May 2020, sales had grown on average of 96% week-over-week.

I installed one of these 60-in-1 boards, into a Arcade1Up Space Invaders cab that I had picked up cheap. It works great. The nice thing is that you can configure the 60-in-1 to only show the games you want. So I have mine only displaying 18 (of my favorite) games.

Jeff Thanks for stopping by 👍🏻 In this 60/1 build I did not connect power / sound to the A1UP control panel. The sound levels are managed in the encoder and I installed a belkin power strip on the bottom inside of the cabinet with the on / off switch which is connected to the Arcade power supply. This solution is
Not as elegant but it’s a much less complex to get the 60/1 up and running. Near the end of the vid I show how I did that. Wi-Fi isn’t used on the 60/1. I will look around and see if I can find a tutorial on setting up the sound and power via the control panel.

Hello. Everything works great with game play. The only problem I have is getting the pacman legacy marquee to get power. I told myself i was going to correct this and not bother you, but I've already purchased 2 things from amazon and none work. So I have a seperate power cable that ends with a male connector. And then you have the skinny male connector plug from the marquee. So I got a female to female 2.1mm plug. It fits in to the power adapter, but is too big for the male cord from the marquee. I cant seem to find a female to female plug thats 2.1mm on one side and maybe 1.7 or 1.3 on the other to fit the marquee cord. I don’t even know how to measure correctly, or if thats what I need. Can you tell me what you used?

First and foremost Thanks for supporting the channel!! There are a couple challenges with a CRT in a 1up. I think it’s possible but a lot of work would need to go into reinforcing of the cabinet from the inside. I don’t think the 1up is not strong enough to hold a CRT. The other challenge is that a 19 inch CRT might not even fit. I agree gaming on a CRT is awesome. Actually just put together a new Retro area with a 27 tv I picked up on OfferUp for $40 and it works awesome. Will showcase on my upcoming Game Room Tour video.

Just bought my used pac man legacy cabinet. Will be purchasing the mod materials next. Do you have a video on how to hook up the lighted marquee? Is it find an adapter to connect direct to the power strip?
Thanks for making the videos!!! I can’t want to start the mod.

Great video followed step by step and got the same results except I’m stuck on how to adjust volume? No sound but have everything hooked up with all the recommended parts. How do I adjust from LCD board or is it something else?

Did you pick up the Arcade1up speaker adaptor? That plugs into the LED board. From the 60 and 1 the 3.5 mm audio out needs to go to the 3.5mm audio in on the LED board. Essentially the sound flows from the 60 and 1 to the LED Board and then to the speakers.

I think I might be missing one part. I got the speaker adapter with 4 pins that goes into the lcd controller and connects to Arcade 1 up speaker wire female to male But missing from 60-1 board to LCD? If so what is it?

To attach the wires to the power supply, do I need to solder? Or can I just screw them in like spade lugs?

Hello. On this video, at approx the 13:00 minute mark, you show the retro arcade power supply cord with 3 ( U ) connectors attached. Aqua, white and black wires. But on the parts video which you did separately, when you show the power cord, it only has TWO ( U ) PRONGS. The video where you laid all the parts out on the table. I can only find a 2 pronged cord, not a 3. Will 2 work? Or can you tell me where to find the 3 prong like you show in this video?

Ok here are the cables that are needed coming out of the 60 and 1. VGA Cable (only does video) a 3.5 male to male cable from 60 and 1 to the “incoming sound” port on the LED controller. Then the sound goes from the LED controller to the speakers via the conversion cable purchased on eBay. Is that how you have this setup?

No I don't have the one from the arcade 60 in one to the vsdisplay.. I found i can get sound of I plug in headphones too the 60 in one lol
