I took a intro game design class years ago at my community college, it was mainly about reading about things like the HUD not really doing them with Cadmus (I think it was called) which came in the later game design courses.
I realized that unless someone was good at math they wouldn't get far in game design, lots of coding involved.
If I made my own fantasy game, it would mainly involve lots of snow, forests and mountains.
As someone trying to get into game design at a community college… damn, I suck at math so that’s gonna be rough 💀. But also, that’s cool. I always love snowy environments in games. They always give me a melancholic feel. And while I’ve never played Chrono Trigger, I love its box art. Just imagining it without the characters there, that landscape is just so beautifully sad, yet peaceful looking. I would love a game with that sort of vibe
Skyrim, Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition, Far Cry 4, Halo CE, etc. Good inspiration perhaps.
Math is only a part of the equation (no pun intended). You need to be a really really really good coder. Math is required for some stuff like shader logic, physics etc. but not for the majority of it. You need to know a lot about OS level stuff and very low level code like C++ (which is infuriating, I mean the language)

Nowadays you get full TET set for free if you compleet a full season and i believe you can achieve to get 1 Pen armor/weapon per season. And that is next to quite a few 1 times per account stuff you can grind out in the game. I totally get where you coming from. But black desert has significantly improved since they got taken over.

Am I the only one that likes the guardian class because of the Viking amazon warrior esthetic? Yes i know shes meta but as a new player to bdo I like the guardians design in all the ways.
Didnt even know she was meta. All i know is that my dad got her to lvl 62 by just using 1 or at most 2 skills because everything died so fast. Told me he couldnt play with her (he got her for reasons :P) but it was the best grinding experience he had for all the characters.

@@cindyas740 Yeah, they need help in the male department. Took like 5 years to get Wizard a non old man model. Besides the two you mentioned and zerk all of them are pretty much kpop idols model wise.
I really wish they would drop a male quarter staff, grappler, or Warhammer user. Maxing out muscles. Be like King from Tekken type grappler.
