Activision owns the IP as of now. Also, there are a lot of credible “leaks” that are alleging they’re currently working on a third Prototype, which started last year.
Infamous Second Son is one of my favorite “superhero” games. And after seeing how well they did Ghost of Tsushima, I’m fairly confident that if they make another Infamous game, it’ll blow up.
Edit - I still liked the stories of the first games better, but I liked Second Son’ new game engine upgrades and the beautiful graphics.

I used to play cards in Watch Dogs 1, in one of those high stakes underground games that was actually like in a parking garage area. I would usually fight someone in there and have a standoff with the police. Hide behind the bar counter, activate a blackout and watch them try to search the room for me. Then I would slip out.
Watch Dogs 1 is genuinely underrated despite the downgrade in graphics
The original Watch Dogs was a Masterpiece in my opinion. A very rare 9 to 10 out of 10 where only minor things could be improved. As for the downgrade in graphics that people bitched about like it was the end of the world, what they showed at E3 looks like the downgrade to me.

@EstobanRamirez I mean, I enjoyed it a fair bit. Wouldn't say it's perfect by a long shot but it's still fairly interesting imo. It's got a really interesting concept and at the very least it's a new concept/change of pace from what you can often find out on the market. Then again, everyone's got their own preferences and you can't really please everyone :)
Being misled by the trailer was an instant put off, didn't bother with the series after that.
Like I couldn't even justify it, it was just a complete let down and such a cop out by the devs.

Just Cause’s grappling hook is my favourite ability in video games.
Better in conjunction with the wingsuit.
I tried to play that game, but I can't stand the controls...idk, maybe I just suck, or I didn't dedicate enough time to it, either way, I hate those controls lol

i like using it to travel long distances quickly, but i just can't handle those wingsuit "stunts" where you are expected to fly through a bunch of rings quickly.
J Rob Have you tried it on keyboard and mouse? It can be a bit pinky heavy but when you get used to it the controls feel SO satisfying
Recently bought that game on the winter steam sale because it was cheap, and a friend wanted to play the online mod with me. This game is so incredibly fun, the controls and the wings it make you feel so cool and blowing up stuff is so satisfying
Definitely gotta include the iconic and classic Shouting from Skyrim. Being able to fling people 100 feet away, breath fire or ice, call down storms or literally command a dragon to crash into the ground all with just your voice is truly badass. Plus all the utility shouts seriously makes you feel unstoppable and you have a answer for everything.
If we're talking Skyrim, can we talk about the broken and OPd lvl100 enchantment system. When playing as a mage, you can basically make yourself invincible. Casting legendary spells for little to no magic or making it so that magic attacks don't even work on you. In my opinion that was badass AF!
@Wipper Snapper the x360 Skyrim has an elaborate voice recognition system made for it.
It's works pretty good with the Shouts.
@@stephenchanda7580 yeah it was incredibly op. You could make it so destruction magic is free. Which, as you can probably imagine, makes the master lightning spell very op
Aura whisper was one of the most useful abilities
Master level shock spell is cooler than any shout in the game. You can turn the Dragonborn into a Sith lord basically.
For me, Deadeye from the RDR games is just a genius mechanic. I know it makes super easy but it also makes you feel like a truly badass gunslinger and it works so well

In both games i hardly used it, mostly because im on console and its easier to use aim assist but I use deadeye to instantly reload my weapons when they're low on bullets
Agree 100%. I thought I was a good shot until I played Farcry without deadeye and discovered how painful it is. 😀
Prototype is one of my favorite game series. The first one made you feel so overpowered. The second one was less buggy but didn't quite match the raw power of Alex Mercer.
The tendrils from second game were waaaaay more badass tho.

Prey 2017’s ability “mimic matter” where you can turn into an object and roll and jump around like it’s prop hunt is one of the coolest and dumbest abilities in games.
It's also a useful power because you can get to places through small gaps if you turn into a small item like a coffee cup or something. :D

@@jep1st I used to always keep one mimicable item in my inventory at all times so I could drop it and squeeze through small spaces, very good power, especially when you get to turn into turrets and stuff

In Ghost Of Tsushima, Jin Sakai’s Ghost stance is OP and is soo damn satisfying.
As is "slaughter" and especially the sprinting slash ability too.

An underrated one:
Web blossom from the Spider-Man game which you get by crafting the classic suit (repaired) you can pretty much instantly complete most free mode missions like the shop robbery or narcotics sale ones with it because it instantly webs all enemies
pretty much any ability in prototype made me feel like a badass. that game was so sick

Does anyone remember how useless the blackout was in Watch Dogs 2? Like it barely makes it that dark and you rarely evade the cops from doing it.
I recently finish Watchdogs 2 and you are right, like it last 30 seconds but only in like the first 5 seconds you manague to escape or do something before they spot you again 😂

As soon as I realized that they weren't going to continue the narative from Watch Dogs I decided not to play the sequals. After reading something like this, glad I listened to myself.
Two that stand out for me are the reversion and age abilities from Singularity. One lets you transform soldiers into feral mutants while the other allows to age an enemy into dust.

Biotic Charge from the Mass Effect series is badass. The Charge/Nova combo in ME3 was devastating and some of the most fun I’ve ever had in a video game. I felt like a damn superhero.
When I first played the game, I went with Infiltrator, cause I love them sniping bonuses and the sneaky-sneak.
Then I rolled a Vanguard build.
Holy shit have I never looked back again.
This too. No other class competed with its awesomeness. The Biotic came close with the detonations though.
I'm glad Metal Gear Revengeance made it onto the list, the game really deserves a sequel .

The Apple of Eden from the Assassin's Creed series, Noctis' ability to have multiples of himself in FF15, and the Costly Punch Materia from Crisis Core are some of my favorite abilities in games.
Just started going through this channel and love it. So many underrated games get love here. Previously the Mad Max and prototype love made me happy, but seeing quantum break get it's due respect just makes me like it all more.
I think I speak for all of us when I say you gotta do a part 2, loved seeing Dishonored and Infamous

100% need a part 2. I think all of the Destiny 2 Supers deserve a mention as a whole, theyre very satisfying. & KH3 keyblade forms. theyre so awesome.

Not to hate on control but it felt a little bit slow for my taste many times i kept going back and forth to find a specific area since the map is so tedious
The Prototype entry brings me back. It was so much fun traversing the map in this game, because your were sooo fast, but it only got better when you unlocked the shield ability. Using the shield while sprinting allowed you to smash away everything in your path. I had so much fun just sprinting along the highway and letting cars fly left and right. Shame they didnt bringt it back in Prototype 2.
Love Hysteria mode in Alice Madness Returns. Especially since women during that time were often misdiagnosed with said “hysteria” when presenting with mental illness, it’s very fun to make Alice explode into that state.
Surprised that nothing from Control showed up here, sure the abilities aren't that out there but damn the game makes using all of them feel sooo good.
Everything in that game made me feel badass. Especially the telekinesis. This wooshing sound as the objects fly towards you and hover in place never got old

Personally, I think theres certain times in the game that make usage of them elevate from just normal usage to actually badass. Ie: the Ashtray
Holy crap thank you for mentioning one of the old Hulk games. I remember playing one on GameCube that was absolutely amazing. You could literally surf on cars and turn metal into weapons
I feel like Ghost Stance from Ghost of Tsushima really belongs in this list, is incredibly badass when you activate it and the enemies just stay frozen in place because of the fear, while you slowly walk to them and finish them off with the incredible camera effect, Sucker Punch really knows how to make a badass protagonist

I always loved activating my supers in destiny and destiny 2. Also i know it really isnt an ability but I never got tired of calling in my titan in the titanfall games. Made for some of the cleanest moments in my gaming career

Fable 2 combining abilities, ultimating them with 2 players, having all the enemies flying around you in a vortex while on fire was pretty badass. Or that game where you can level up your strength and then throw vehicles at cartel members - that was pretty badass!
I kinda have to add to this list. Bullet Jumping from Warframe. Being able to launch yourself roughly 3 stories in the air or hurl yourself forward like a living cannonball to travel, grab onto walls or do the other insane combinations of jumping, parkour and just telling gravity to piss off is such a fun way to travel in a game.
Warframe is filled with insane abilities.
The time warp ability in titanfall 2's effect and cause mission with the way that stuff you do in the past affecting the present was lit as hell. Titanfall movement already makes you feel like a badass but that mission was the absolute cherry on top.
reminds me of a line in a gaming magazine:
the player stole the enemy flag in PVP mode, swung around using a grappling hook, summoned his titan, AND made the titan land ON an enemy titan, instantly destroying it, ALL AT THE SAME TIME!
he said it made him jump to his feet and yell "YAHOO!"

Dishonored really have some badass powers, as you said and all Dishonored games are on the top of my all time favs not only because of these powers but also from the plot and story point of view. Anyway one of my fav power in these games is bend time. Bend time combined with any other power is a real badass mix
I can’t believe any of the Crysis games were never mentioned in this. You are so powerful that you believably take on army’s of advanced aliens. The game feels so overwhelming at times but your characters abilities balance it out and make it feel like they have something to fear
Visuals wise, the first Watch Dogs got blackout so right. The sound effects plus the darkness level combined together made it very satisfying, I loved it.

The Darkness as a whole has a bunch of badass abilities that make you feel like a force of nature.

Bonus: drinking your enemies blood for health from Bloodrayne. Kind of a terrible game but a cool ability

Yeah, that is much more badass than Hulk’s ability thing.
Kreig's Unleash the Beast from BL2. Throwing exploding axes, slashing away your enemies until their blood fills the screen, all the while laughing with a monstrous voice.
Honorable Mention: Shulk's Foresight in Xenoblade Chronicles. You see how your party loses, then must do what you can to stop it mid-combat. It felt like a meta-game ability and made the combat so fun.
Setting things on fire in the Far cry games. The evolution of Far Cry fire physics. How can you miss a classic like that?

Imo the iconic Unrelenting Force from Skyrim had to be on this list.
Easily the most useful shout in the game, plus enemies ragdolling after you shout FUS RO DAH is just so satisfying

I guess you forgot shadow of war 2. You can literally wraith chain explode orcs' heads. Or explode a campfire by hammering it. Or maybe just general combat as the fight styles are awesome. Not to mention the fact you can phase through enemies.its dope.
Devil trigger from the DMC (non famous one) is also actually badass cause when you turn it on, every enemy floats from the ground and freezes up in the air and it not only changes character appearance but also the environment around him.
If you build right VATS from fallout is insane, especially once you start pinning limbs with the rail gun
Also, with the right perks in Fallout 4, you can walk into a horde of baddies, head shot everyone in one go. That includes shooting through walls, buildings and other bad guys. My second favorite, is stacking the melee perks. Teleport across a room and make your target explode with a combat knife.
Pfft even more badass is not using Vats at ALL

Prototype rules in term of power and making you FEEL like a badass
Especially when you fully upgrade Heller (Prototype 2) and start new game plus. You are literary unstoppable.

Really glad to see that Infamous still gets the love it's always deserved nothing felt more badass than playing as Cole, and then Delsin since he can absorb other's Power's hopefully SP will continue with that Franchise!
Netrunning in cyberpunk is one of the most badass things i have seen in videogames. You literally can slowwalk while all the enemies around you get fried, or take their own life or vomit themself to death. Its so damn cool
Genuinely surprised Blade Mode made it to the list, which I'm not complaining about.
In Titanfall 2 when you get to play with the time traveling device, you definitely felt like an unstoppable god

I was almost positive the time travel ability in Titanfall 2 was going to be on this list lol. The dynamic level design was such a unique experience.
Devil Trigger is freaking awesome. So satisfying to watch while doing it on the enemy with a "Smokin’ Sexy Style" combo.

it got burried under the infmous and prototypes of the world. I mean, prototype and infamous of released the same year as the saboteur, you can not compete with that.
I finally finished the full map after about 8 years of keep going back and playing it.

The swinging in spider man . Ik ik it’s like a very basic thing but it’s the best features I’ve seen in a game . That feeling when you’re falling down straight and at the very end do a super smooth swing . Gawshhhhhh just amazing

That monochrome to color mechanic, the soundtrack, the terror shotgun, Skylar. Oh man those were the days.
Always wanted to play it but was never able to get it for PS3 and every time I tried installing it on a PC it never started up :(
The blackout ability from WD1 was really cool like how you can even use it to escape the cops.
I just replayed infamous second son and first light last week and I can confirm that they are fun asf, fighting mechanic wise first light is great (bc I’m more of a hand to hand person) but I love her singularity ability and everything else
The slowing down time ability in F.E.A.R 1 and 2 is my favourite ability. Slowing down time and shooting the clone enemies, watching them ragdoll was awesome and soooo satisfying
Slow motion is pretty common, red dead redemption and other games have those. slow mo is only good if you add a twist to it like the one in 1:44.

one of the BEST games I've EVER played. So underrated
Chaos Reach in Destiny was always fun to me. I don't even play a warlock but just shooting a massive beam of lightning is still one of the coolest abilities in Destiny
Quantum break is one of my all time favourite games I was blown away when I first played it and I'm still blown away now by it

V.A.T.S. can make you feel like a badass. Using it with some of the luck and agility perks can be incredibly satisfying.
Biotics from Mass Effect were always one of my favorite video game superpowers of all time. The classic blue glow while in use, telekinetically throwing enemies around, charging across battlefields, and making enemies explode with some angry thoughts and hand gestures was fun. Adding some of the tricks (weaponization, etc.) shown here would have been even better…
Prototype’s shapeshifting and memory consuming powers were as awe-inspiring as they were terrifying. No wonder the in-game military called Alex Mercer Zeus…
My favorite unforgettable overpowered ability was sly infinite shadow ability that still hasn't patched not even the ps3 remake it was still overpowered

The Warlock's Self Ressurection ability Destiny 1 always felt awesome, especially if your whole fireteam had died. The screen shows that the whole encounter is about to start over after all the hard work you and your friends did, and then boom! Self Res, go revive your teammates, save the mission. 🤷♂️

I loved the Borderlands 2 Zer0 “B0re” skill, where the bullet damage multiplied as it passed through multiple aligned hitboxes. Some enemies and raid bosses could get one-shotted with the weakest gun in the game because of this skill.

Well, in the case of Devil May Cry, I would vote that the ability to transform enemies' parts (mostly bosses) into cool weapons is the most bad ass ability of the franchise.
Yeah and then seeing Dante instantly master said weapon in cutscenes is ridiculous but funny

Especially for when it came out, and even though it’s the main mechanic of the game, I always thought the time traveling aspect in Prince of Persia Sands of Time was so awesome
Mass Paralysis from Skyrim has been a long term favorite. Just making everyone in one's vicinity freeze and fall over is pretty cool.
It’s been so long since I played.. how did you pull of the mass paralysis? Was it a spell? Don’t know if I ever went that route

I like the tether cable in just cause, the portal gun in portal! imagine that in a game u fight actual enemies instead of just solving puzzles haha. now going way back I like the telekinesis in psy-ops and the ability to turn into a monster in the suffering! such a shame we will probably never see that franchise again! The suffering was so underrated.

I love the slow time thing from first FEAR game. Nothing better then basically stopping time and shooting everyone with that OP shotgun in the face. The fact that you can turn it on and off at will and the way combat was presented in first FEAR games makes it even better.
OK, how can you leave out one of the most recent bad ass abilities: ghost stance, in ghost of Tsushima? The entire scene when you get this power is one of the most bad ass things I’ve ever seen in games. But every time it’s pretty damn bad ass. The screen turns into sort of black-and-white except it’s more like black and red and your charger people and there’s nothing they can do to stop you and hear them screaming out in terror. It’s awesome. You feel like this classic quote: “To crush your enemies, to see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentations of their women.” Just in general one of the coolest things they do in ghost Tsushima is the enemy is actually sometimes get scared of you and run for their lives. I’m telling you I was saying to my friend as I was playing it “you would think that the last guy would realize he’s screwed and run for his life.” And that’s when he did it
Vanquish needs a remake, such an insane and underrated game
