I just can’t imagine the time , effort , expertise , and “ love and passion “ that goes in making such games. I am a simple man and when i play Elden ring I just sometime pause for a few seconds and absorb the beautifying canvas painting like scenery and get goosebumps all over me. And can’t help but think that I am privileged to be able to experience this game.
Allow me to offer a different perspective, since i'm not a simple man. Any time I see new software, I think, "damn, another missed opportunity." Also, you could have said beautiful instead of beautifying. It kinda ruined the vibe. I have no illusions about privilege, regardless. Sure it's a privilege, a privilege they created to generate profit. Sure, it may have been a passion project in some sense, but one that likely wouldn't have seen the light of day unless their customers were willing to support them. All that being said, I understand where you're coming from. That comment is the sort of feeling you get when you experience life-changing events, like withdrawals from staying clean, getting out of jail, near death experiences, and from what i've heard, finding God which is really just establishing a healthy relationship with yourself. I hope you understand what i'm saying here. While I do have these moments quite frequently since this is what i'm looking for in entertainment, I wouldn't comment about it like this, unless I was on drugs.
The best thing I love about the simple addition of a reliable jump in this game, is that the *near* frame-perfect hitboxes make it so a jump is as viable as a dodge depending on the range of the enemy attack. I find myself jumping to avoid an attack as much as I used to roll in souls games, which also creates a new dynamic for attacking. Fromsoft is one of the few studios who take their accumulative effort across titles and utilize them to make their future games more efficient and fun while repeating the same gameplay loop.
So weight doesn't affect jumping, jumping is as good as rolling, and jump attacks are very strong... I was aiming for a dex build but it sounds like jumping around like an idiot all the time with a huge 2h is the way to go.

You can bypass Stormveil by running along the path down from the broken bridge east of the Castle, so it’s just as easy to get to that merchant as the one you mentioned.
One wee thing I thought was useful. When your exploring the open world ruins(one’s usually with a staircase to a chest) it’s hard to tell if you’ve got all the enemies in the area. Thank you for the tip about putting no skill on your shield. I never use Parry but I would love to use my weapon ability without two handing or taking off the shield!
The 2 handing doesn't reduce a weapons strength requirement but instead increases your own strength slightly to be able to use the weapon, which is the reasoning when you 2 hand a weapon you can one hand you do more damage with it.

Thank you so much for just putting th straight dope in your video. I'm so tired of 15 minutes of obvious recap in the other videos I've found. This was an informative breath of fresh air.
I've never played a souls game before elden ring. It took me 3 days to decide which starting class to choose. I think I restarted like 5 times lol. Ended up with the prophet because those incantation attacks are just too juicy to pass up. Great video!!!
Watch out with the glowy eyes one. Some enemies inflict madness damage when they hit you. Completely stacked it does really high damage on your HP and FP.
yeah the flame traps hint, i figured that one out almost instantly lol, i dodged the first one and hit it as a joke with my sword, and it went down *lightbulb* , *takes out bow*
had this in my 1st playthrough i mean why not hit em, sometimes games does make you enjoy at finding out things and sometimes disappoints like why not combust posion spores by enemies when you can light em with flame attacks like in DOS2
haha that is classic. A cushy blob :). You can also slide down some hillsides on the horse and get no damage as a tip just so long as you don't actually fall too far.
Find some good farm spots that are doable for you rn. Lvl up, it’s ok to take your time in this and not rush bosses. Find as many grace spots as possible make sure when you’re free roaming you’ve spent your runes so you don’t have the fear of losing them. You can always go back and pick things up too so if you need to miss something it’s ok to go back later. Remember these games are designed to make you mad lol don’t give in. Eventually it gets easy once you figure out the basic souls borne mechanics.
Another to potentially add, it seems poise damage also gets a boost on horseback. Idk if it effects damage output. But those field enemies go down much quicker for sure!
When i first saw lava in Elden Ring my first thoughts went to Demon's Souls area with the fire slugs...2 seconds in it and your entire healthbar was gone ...or the infamous Chaos Flame Ember...which, if you try to grab without the Centipede's ring, is almost impossible not to die trying to get..your HPs are gone in those 5 steps ...and there are more examples of it...so you can imagine my shock when i discovered that you can just walk through lava with the minor inconvenience of losing like 20HP every couple of seconds...wtf
Get yourself the latenna the albinauric ashes asap, she's essentially a turret and you can park her just outside of pretty much every open world boss's range.
I love this game. Something I just figured out. On the map screen you can add sites of grace to a favorites menu and navigate back to them really fast. It is so nice. Would have been nice to know on my first play through.
been playing for 30 hours now and i had no idea the majority of these tricks existed, i was planning on doing other stuff but watching this vid makes me want to go right back in
Now that's a great tip video format for any game. Quick, to the point, and extremely helpful! Thank you for that! That gets you a new subscriber! I am not a souls fan, I've tried a few, actually enjoyed Sekiro for a while until hitting the first boss. I'm actually looking forward to trying Elden Ring with my brother in co-op. I have completed game and game+ mode already and the noskill skill for shield just blew my mind 😮 I always thought this ability is not there in game mechanics but man i was wrong 😂
I’m not sure what triggers it, but one time after fast traveling back to the round table hold, all the npcs disappeared and I had to fight an npc invader. After I killed him all the npcs returned except for the one usually leaning against the wall. In the spot where he was was the pickup for the entire skeleton outfit. For reference I had beaten Godrick and progressed a decent way into the next area. Not sure how relevant my progression was or if it was just a random event
@@ethanvinson8632 u just have to go to the village of albinaurics and before u get on the bridge u go more up by the wall and u just destroy a pot and there it is
I already figured out about 90% of this by experimenting and trying to make the game more complex like ssbm. I use crouch attacks very often bc I like pressing many buttons and it makes the game more fun to mess around with all these different attacks and tactics
Thank you for this video. This helps me grasp more concepts on how to properly play this game. Looking forward to getting back to it in the next day or two.
Called the royal remains set. There are walkthroughs on TH-cam on how to get it. Have to talk to a certain npc and then kill the leaning edgelord at the roundtable
Ideally look at a guide. Otherwise head to the Village of Albinaurics which is NW of the Liurnia Lake Shore lost grace (which is behind Stormveil Castle). once into the village head up a hill and past a fire breathing guy who is standing under a tree and near an old house. To the right of the house is a chest behind a small wall which has a half medallion grab that and teleport to the round table. this can all be done without fighting anyone except the intruder at the round table.
Thank you for not talking like a TH-camr, who puts that rising tone at the end of each word of each sentence. Also good tips. I knew most of them, but the ones I didn't were so good. Like, holding down on the D-pad to get to the first item. Nice.
I want to go for a Magic/Melee build. Spells in one hand and a sword in the other - no shield. What would be the recommended starting class in your opinion? And which stats should I focus on?
@@Frvnklin I was thinking that too. In that case I should really even drop the idea of eventually wielding a shield and alternating between the shield and the staff right? Or maybe that would be viable for some smaller encounters?
@@MichaelFromTheAttic not sure how it's going to differ in this game but usually that's the idea because you will use your spells to buff your weapon or to do ranged damage. There's no reason to use a shield(left hand) and the staff(right hand) at the same time unless you're a pure caster
Pro Tip: If you hold down the directional button it switches your item back to first one equipped (i.e Holding down will always equip your Crimson Flask)
Get the No Skill ashes and duplicate it whenever you want to sell a weapon that has an ashes of war attached. Just attach the No Skill and then you can sell it without losing the Ashes of War you want to keep.
my man! waiting on a video where to get a god weapon early to upgrade with your other video. you rocking this early strats. also, where are the skelleton summons?
One thing that I started doing was place the skull map marker on completed catacombs, evergaols, minor erdtrees and the like. As I progress, my map now shows me which minor bosses I need to go back to!
@Boomstick Gaming How did you trigger the event for the Invader in the Round Table Hold? The Skeleton warrior. The Royal Remains Armor. Ton's people are asking and trying to figure out how to get it. Would be great if you could tell us.
After i kill the boss at warmaster shack that appears inside at night time. The next return to round table he appeared. Not sure if that triggered it but potentially might of been why

I currently use it to farm bones &feathers for Fletched Arrows (&non-fletched Arrows... +the2 fire varietys) &Throwing bone-Knives.
[I like having a Full Inventory of those Items &As Big Ass Stockpile as possible in Chest]
Probably definitely not the best place.. but it works for now..
Thanks for these tip guides you've been uploading! I'm a noob in this style of game due to not wanting to die a lot. Usually I play easier games like skyrim, but since I started playing that on master difficulty I figure playing elden ring would be the next logical step in difficulty. Been having lots of fun and these guides help where I'm weaker so thank you!
dont give up and you know that in these games the more you die the better.the more hours into the game so your experience will be longer and thats a good thing.worth your money and dont listen to kidos saying this and that to play it god mode...games are made for fun not for scores...if they want scores go play lol and dreaming going top of the ladder with in real life ,no point...
@@observer8477 Yeah it's been a great time so far. Finished my first character's playthrough almost 2 weeks ago now and already have 80hrs on my second. Trying to get better at dueling and building a good stat spread this time around since I'm not really in a rush to beat the game again.
@@NeedANameWithoutNumbers thats great.the game is very gooood!
Thanks so much. True real pro tips. 20 hrs in and stuff i didnt know till jos
For the first tip: keep the parry because the player should ‘git gud’ and learn to parry.
Thought this was gonna be a video riddled with basic souls knowledge. Actually learned a few things, great video!
this is so helpful, i didn't play much elden ring and got behind on stuff, this made the combat so much better with the crouch tech
Watch out with the glowy eyes one. Some enemies inflict madness damage when they hit you. Completely stacked it does really high damage on your HP and FP.
The multiple runes glowy eyes are different to frenzy glowy eyes, as frenzy enemies don't drop more runes, and frenzy builds through a shield
The frenzy eyes look more like fire than just... Well, glowing eyes.
Would have been useful to mention in the video, regardless, though.
"Your foot hates shields....or loves shields....I dont know".
I hit the Subscribe button immediately after I heard that
You can get rune arcs from helping and completing coop missions.
Been playing these games since DS1. Did not know the thing about holding down the bottom D-Pad button. Kudos.
yeah the flame traps hint, i figured that one out almost instantly lol, i dodged the first one and hit it as a joke with my sword, and it went down *lightbulb* , *takes out bow*
Saw a message about it before seeing my first flame trap. Best message I remember to have ever read.
had this in my 1st playthrough i mean why not hit em, sometimes games does make you enjoy at finding out things and sometimes disappoints like why not combust posion spores by enemies when you can light em with flame attacks like in DOS2
Thank you for this guide!! I JUST now learned that you can hold "Y" and press "right attack" button to 2Hand a weapon.
Here's a tip I found yesterday that you'll never use, I fell off a huge tower and landed on a blob and got no fall damage
haha that is classic. A cushy blob :). You can also slide down some hillsides on the horse and get no damage as a tip just so long as you don't actually fall too far.
No BS - straight to the tips. Love it, thanks sir!
6:52 it's worth noting that holding the d-pad button to quick select the first item also works in you spell-slots.
Good tip dude.
actual protips, and some humor to boot. Nice work, skeleton
It’s my first souls game, came straight here when I realized just how hard it is for a noob
By far one of the best beginners tips videos made so far
Straight to the point and actual helpful tips that aren’t well known? Awesome video!
Thanks mate! Gonna start Elden Ring soon.
Woah Karl didn't know you were a gamer 😮
I played this game for review but there were still some good hints here that I didn't know about, great video!
What review?
? Your last video was 3 years ago
Hahaha!
Weird fake flex
Another to potentially add, it seems poise damage also gets a boost on horseback. Idk if it effects damage output. But those field enemies go down much quicker for sure!
Very nicely done. This is my first Souls type game and this was extremely helpful. I also used your OP video. Great stuff! Thanks!
that first tip is saving my life rn and honestly thats the first tip ive found in one of these guides that is useful (i havent finished this btw)
When i first saw lava in Elden Ring my first thoughts went to Demon's Souls area with the fire slugs...2 seconds in it and your entire healthbar was gone
...or the infamous Chaos Flame Ember...which, if you try to grab without the Centipede's ring, is almost impossible not to die trying to get..your HPs are gone in those 5 steps
...and there are more examples of it...so you can imagine my shock when i discovered that you can just walk through lava with the minor inconvenience of losing like 20HP every couple of seconds...wtf
Yeah kinda lame... Easy Rings
Get yourself the latenna the albinauric ashes asap, she's essentially a turret and you can park her just outside of pretty much every open world boss's range.
Thank you…I’m trying to soak up all the tips I can get
Best no spoilers tip video I've found in 2024. I learned a few things here, thanks!
Speedy upload with the gold!! Appreciate it boom!
I love this game. Something I just figured out. On the map screen you can add sites of grace to a favorites menu and navigate back to them really fast. It is so nice. Would have been nice to know on my first play through.
What’s the name of the skeleton armor from the start of the video? I noticed a NPC wearing it at roundtable too
been playing for 30 hours now and i had no idea the majority of these tricks existed, i was planning on doing other stuff but watching this vid makes me want to go right back in
Now that's a great tip video format for any game.
I hope I end up liking it, even if it just gets him to stop pestering me about liking souls games. 🤣
Sekiro is by far the hardest fromsoft game.
I have completed game and game+ mode already and the noskill skill for shield just blew my mind 😮
I always thought this ability is not there in game mechanics but man i was wrong 😂
HOW DID YOU GET THAT SKELETON HELMET I NEED IT IN MY LIFE, NOW!
Let me know if you find out 😭
Same
I’m not sure what triggers it, but one time after fast traveling back to the round table hold, all the npcs disappeared and I had to fight an npc invader. After I killed him all the npcs returned except for the one usually leaning against the wall. In the spot where he was was the pickup for the entire skeleton outfit.
For reference I had beaten Godrick and progressed a decent way into the next area. Not sure how relevant my progression was or if it was just a random event
@@ethanvinson8632 u just have to go to the village of albinaurics and before u get on the bridge u go more up by the wall and u just destroy a pot and there it is
@@Johnny-eb9ev thanks a lot, I'll try both of those suggestions. I appreciate the response.
That armor is so badass!
I cant wait to play this game and get it 😃
God damn! The fire traps you just shoot with a bow have got me so many times why did i not think of this 😂
Wow!!! What was that weapon in the final clip. Lol that looks so cool
I already figured out about 90% of this by experimenting and trying to make the game more complex like ssbm. I use crouch attacks very often bc I like pressing many buttons and it makes the game more fun to mess around with all these different attacks and tactics
This is the best stuff out there, as always!!! Thanks, Alex!
Thank you for this video. This helps me grasp more concepts on how to properly play this game. Looking forward to getting back to it in the next day or two.
How did you get that skeleton armour, that looks insane
That's what I'm trying to figure out too!!!
NEED
You'll get it from an NPC invader in the Roundtable hold. I don't know what triggers the invasion, I think it was my third time going there
Called the royal remains set.
Nice.
Another good Elden Ring video. Keep them coming.
I am blown away 😅 6:15 I was screaming wondering why I kept taking poison damage out of the pool
I want to go for a Magic/Melee build. Spells in one hand and a sword in the other - no shield. What would be the recommended starting class in your opinion? And which stats should I focus on?
Starting class: Prisonner
Stat focus: Int/Dex
@@Frvnklin I was thinking that too. In that case I should really even drop the idea of eventually wielding a shield and alternating between the shield and the staff right? Or maybe that would be viable for some smaller encounters?
@@MichaelFromTheAttic not sure how it's going to differ in this game but usually that's the idea because you will use your spells to buff your weapon or to do ranged damage. There's no reason to use a shield(left hand) and the staff(right hand) at the same time unless you're a pure caster
I'm doing faith/dex confess
I'm gonna do astrologer and eventually get a sword that way I just focus on int/dex and strength
This improved my game by 200% immediately. Thank you.
Appreciate the to the point no nonsense delivery. Got a sub and a like from me
I don't comment often, but thank you so much for just getting into the meat of the video straight away
Pro Tip: If you hold down the directional button it switches your item back to first one equipped (i.e Holding down will always equip your Crimson Flask)
YOU ARE A GOD DAMNED LEGEND
The shield and no skill ashes of war was a INSANE tip! So clever! Thanks man!
I just need to know one thing.... HOW DO I GET THAT ARMOR !?
nice, I also like putting summon horse, heal and mana potions on the pouch for direct access
What!? A Poison Swamp area in a Souls game? I don't believe it!
No way, you must be seen things. Like I swore I seen a dragon in the game but there can't be.
@@davidc5170 no way theirs a dragon that wouldn't be realistic
Get the No Skill ashes and duplicate it whenever you want to sell a weapon that has an ashes of war attached. Just attach the No Skill and then you can sell it without losing the Ashes of War you want to keep.
my man! waiting on a video where to get a god weapon early to upgrade with your other video. you rocking this early strats. also, where are the skelleton summons?
I've played all the souls games, and even I learned a lot from this. Thank you!
This might have just convinced me to get it even though I know I will probably suck 😂
You got dis!
The invader pops up if you jump down into the main hall area
@@DG-nn8zt that’s a different invasion.
After i kill the boss at warmaster shack that appears inside at night time. The next return to round table he appeared. Not sure if that triggered it but potentially might of been why
2:45 don't disrespect guts sword
Best tips and tricks vid so far, especially the crouch fast roll hit
First tip is to remove parry lol. Yikes!!!!
