Im not normally a big RPG guy, maybe because i don’t have the patience, and Dark Souls games are difficult and of course Elden Ring is no different. But I am hooked…. But I also really suck. @Mo No This is strong advice, waiting for the moment after a boss or enemy finishes attacking is usually the best way to win a fight because you'll get hit or attacked while you yourself are attacking. Unless the boss can be easily staggered, then you can just go wild.
I started the game last night and what amazes me is how open the world feels. I’m trying to commit to moving in one direction in terms of exploration while leveling up for now. I started going around in circles for a while. There’s just so much to see and do, I love it!
I'm sure this is mentioned somewhere in the comments, but you do NOT have to duplicate a remembrance before you use it. You can duplicate any remembrance you've ever had one time. So, you can use it to create a weapon and then find a mausoleum later and duplicate it once even if it's no longer in your inventory.
a lot of the tips in this video are incorrect in some way. duping remembrances before you use them isn't necessary and recommending to use margit shackle phase 2 speaks for itself
Bestial Vitality does nearly negate it and lasts a decently long time without costing much FP or Faith to use. If you use the Mountain Dew Talisman with it then you’ll fully negate poison.
I’m surprised they didn’t mention wondrous physick. I don’t remember how I stumbled in to it - but good lord is it a game changer. The passive HP regen has saved me many a flasks (topped off) - especially against poison. And there’s even one that eats a hit. Awesome against bosses if you’re rocking base vigor.
Me: Ignored all Elden Ring info for 2 years so as to go in completely blind. Also me: remembers this week it’s coming out and spend 3 days binging all the info I can find….
Tip for summons use skeletons since they also reanimate and revive with full hp. Useful for boss fights and they keep on reanimating unless they get hit during reanimating animation then they're gone. Makes em great for breaking aggro off you
Do I need a catalyst or staff in order to summon spirits? I put the spirit items I found in my item slots but I still can't use them even when I'm fighting a boss or in the over world. It's little details like these that aren't conveyed thru the game nor in videos online and it's a bit frustrating
@@Jaschu-xs9mb to summon spirits you need the bell that its given to you at night in the first church if you talk to a witch that appears there, have fun!
One quick correction i'd like to make : you can also acquire copies of remembrances you already used at mausoleums, so no need to wait in spending them if they have something you want
@@TheFlamingoBird The bell limitation isn't if you are holding the remembrance. It is specific to types of remembrance. Some can doup anywhere. Some need a bell. But spending them before hand doesn't matter in either case.
Just a quick note. I got the spirit tuner just by talking to her and then reaching lvl 20. I didn't go get the item, and I hadn't beaten Margit. You don't need to do what this video says you do aside from finding her and exhausting her dialogue at the shack. And then exhausting her and the blacksmiths dialogue once she shows up at the round table.
i was lvl 30 and i exhausted her dialogue and still didnt get it so i dont think the lvl 20 stuff is correct either. tho she did randomly show up today after killing margit even though i didnt get the item or whatever.
@@feralforlorn you just have to talk to her in the shack then when she takes you to the round table later her and the weapon smith will be there. Just exhaust both their dialogue then leave and come back
This list is amazing. Respect to those that skip videos like this due to spoilers! Me, on the other hand, would probably miss almost all of these so I totally appreciate this video.
Another tip for fighting Margit is jumping heavy attacks. After dodging his attacks, find a window to jump and heavy attack him, it has a chance to stagger him and give you a crit hit window. I did it with the sword in the one of the caravans in front of the gates, not sure if it's doable with other weapons. It made my life so much easier
True, I found out normally heavy attacking him makes it harder due to him moving a lot and the jumping heavy attack makes it easier to hit him while maintain a strong stance break (should be the same with a lot of quick moving enemies and should be used a lot when needed because stance breaking is so good)
I just skipped the boss entirely in the beginning and came back for him after the 3rd boss. There is a passage under the broken bridges before you get all the way to margit
Fun tip about remembrance duplication - you actually don’t need to have saved the remembrance to duplicate them! You can duplicate remembrances you’ve already spent, as far as I can tell more than once (for runes the third time I guess?). Also some mausoleums seem to only allow certain remembrances to be duplicated - maybe only at that location for that remembrance.
This feels like it’s going to be the first souls like game that really clicks with me. I’m only a couple hours in but I’ve made enough adjustments to where it doesn’t feel so hard I just wanna quit after a few hours, but enough of a challenge to keep me engaged. Even just taking away the majority of fall damage is pretty cool, and the fact you can run away from a lot of fights until you have the power to deal with them is pretty awesome
Exactly. I had an epiphany last night while playing this as felt for the first time I actually understood how to play a Dark Souls game ^_^ Makes me want to go back and play the other games.
That first one about the Stormhill Shack, with the spirit tuner: it looks almost identical to the little shack with your second bonfire in the Undead Settlement in Dark Souls 3. You can even spot the corresponding bridge in the far background.
That's because they used old assets from the previous titles, it's not just animations that's copied and pasted. I'm more shocked at the last gen graphics we where promised next gen. Don't get me twisted I'm not hating the game but I can't say I'm not disappointed in some of the quality and how long it took for the games release. I believe it was most of the time was waiting on George R.R Martin to write the story, then they spent a year developing a the world and copied and pasted enemy's like the giant crabs, animations and building with last gen graphics. Still fun.
@@The-Spanish-Inquisition490 surprisingly, George actually finished his part years ago. And to be completely honest, their development time is actually pretty fast. Sekiro came out in 2019. 3 years for an “”entirely”” new IP is faster than most studios. That said, I share all the same complaints you do about graphics, performance, etc. The animations don’t bother me as much. Though I wish the combat was more Sekiro-like though 😞. Also, I’ve noticed some other areas in the game that looked verrrry similar to specificareas in Bloodborne. Just dressed differently. That said though, it’s such a giant and diverse world that that doesn’t bother me at all. I don’t have any issue about the “copying/pasting” thing.
Im glad you said this. I thought i was tripping out. There are a few areas in this video that looks similar to ds3. Like in the video, there was an upper library area which looked like the Grand Archives lol
I'm definitely getting those items at the start no matter how long it takes me. This is the first time I'm gonna be playing a Souls type game so better to be prepared from the start.
@@jayray5022 I started playing Bloodborne to see if it's worth buying Elden Ring. I'm struggling in Bloodborne and after a while it stops being fun so I decided to not buy Elden Ring which is a bummer. I hope you guys figure it out and have fun!
Margit’s shackle didn’t seem to have any effect in the 2nd phase of that fight for me. Use it early and save your spirit summon for the 2nd phase to aggro him!
Here’s a huge one! There’s a pause function!!! When using the inventory/equipment/status/settings display screens. At the bottom it should have a button designated as “help”. Press the corresponding button. Of the next three options, they should offer a “menu explanation” option. Click that one. There done complete. You are now paused whilst in a solo (non player coop/invaded) game world.
I'm currently working on a mage build and only got 50 hours into the game. For whoever wants to do a mage build but dunno where to start with leveling up and the mage type weapons. Here's what I know. First tour gonna wanna focus of ur mind, vigor, intelligence, and dexterity especially your dexterity. You also might want to throw some points into your endurance as well. Now in the way of staffs I would recommend getting the meteorite staff and the rock sling spell. The meteorite staff can't be upgraded but it will get you mid way in the game. The rocksling spell is pretty much three purple rocks but they do some good damage when they all three hit. Now I would recommend getting the lazuli glintstone sword in my opinion it's a must for a mage build. When you just have to farm a few mages until they drop the sword. For its special you press left trigger and it'll shoot a glintstone pebble but it'll be at good for close up and it deals quite a bit of damage. When you fire the glintstone pebble from the sword press right trigger and that'll do a lunge to do even more damage. Rhe sword can be upgraded but you need somber smithing stones to upgrade the lazuli glintstone sword you'll come across a giant smith called master igi gonto him for upgrading that sword. Once you get the spirit calling bell I personally use the lone wolf ashes and the rotten dog ashes. There is one type of ashes that is great for a mage build but I can't remember what he was called. Anyway I used the rotten dog ash summon to expose godfrey to scarlet rot I just summon the dog and I keep godfrey's lock on me until I noticed his health started to decrease by itself without the rotten dog biting him. Just keep running away from him and he'll soon die. That's what I did and so far I'm currently sitting at the volcano manor. Now yes if you accept the invite to the volcano manor you can still access the round table hold you'll just open up a quest line and on ur map you should see red blips that'll either be quests or bounties available to do once you accept the invite to the volcano manor.
I follow a TH-cam channel that deals with this, you won't regret following his guide through the game, you won't mediately level your character up, but will be getting items that will help you once you do start contenting. I just got an awesome weapon at this prison place and used this dudes summoning you get when you follow on his guide throughout the game, I'm currently watching part 3 of his walkthrough for it. Would you like his TH-cam channel?
Also I didn't see that you posted this 2 years ago 😅 but if you do still have issues I would recommend watching the TH-cam channel I mentioned previously.
I love how easy it is to summon help. Just make sure you craft furlong fingers they are made from erdleaf flowers that are everywhere. I’m so glad they removed the need to be ln a certain state like being in embered state from ds3 because it was hard to find ember seeds your first play through it’s a tough game.
@@ashleyjanes7420 the first few days I had zero problems but now that so many people are playing you would think it would easier but I get unable to summon on half or more. I used to see summon signs everywhere but now no one really leaves them in dungeons anymore.
@@Nedk82 The reason you can't summon them is because somebody else summoned them before you. And summons get snapped up quickly. Keep trying different summons and eventually you will be the one who beat out everyone else trying to summon the person. You know the devs are having fun when they pack so much into a game. FS could've easily cut 1/3 of the content and depth and fans would've been happy, but these guys went way beyond what anyone expected. Nice to see greed doesn't own everyone.
@@Chkkk8293 Many games if not most reuse mini bosses and mobs. I don't see this as an issue at all. The world is amazing, there's so much to the game, you're not going to see it all, to much. Just have fun and enjoy.
@@NotThatBob I do enjoy the game a lot and i am aware Fromsoft do re use their asset a lot in the past but the dungeon mini boss just brought my immersion down so much
It took me almost 6-8hrs to beat margit but it felt so good after beating the boss without using any spirit/summon. The journey of me learning how to get in my 100dmg hits in between the boss's ridiculous move sets was so satisfying. Soon after, I beat godrick or whatever his name was in the castle. I died a number of times but honestly, he did not feel as brutal as margit.
I can 100% confirm that you don't actually need to keep the remembrance to duplicate it, you can duplicate any remembrances that you've previously held in your playthrough. The Mausoleums with the bell beneath them are the only ones you can duplicate the higher tier ones, like the shardbearer remembrances and the ones with out the bell can duplicate the lower ones like the ancient tree spirit moose thing's remembrance
This certainly cements my starting item pick, being the key. I was debating between that and the seed, but getting what is essentially the Ring of Favor is overly worth getting the key instead of the seed.
Yeah the keys are extremely easy to find and buy it’s completely worth it to pick the seed I have 12 of the keys rn and I haven’t left the first area lol
idk man people are exploring every inch of the map. I have found so many tiny holes with cool stuff only to see the white ghost of someone else there xD. It's crazy
Follow-up note on the Spirit Tuner: once you help turn Roderika into that and she loses her red cloak, you can find it sitting-on top of the same pile of corpses you found her men’s memento on. Gives a comparable vigor boost from the Confessor’s hood and it looks dope.
Prince of deaths pustule you can get without the boss fight. Go to the ramparts checkpoint and when you get to the 3 birds, instead of fighting them, turn right and do a running jump. After making the jump. Go to to the right and you’ll see a big drop but there is a tree you can land on top of. After landing on the tree, roll towards the opening on the right. And you’ll just drop right down to where the talisman is.
Jake and the Birdman are the main reasons I followed the channel all those years ago. I’ve always had this impression that these guys still enjoy what it is that they do on each channel they Host, and as a sigma gaming specimen as their target demographic. From their honest truly in depth breakdowns in their genius “Before you Buy” series to their personal channels where they might cover more obscure titles or gaming news I recommend this channel to just about every friend that games.
game runs like absolute human waste on the PC.. i'm well above minimum specs required and it's just garbage. I genuinely had a better experience with Cyberpunk and i did not like that game one bit.
True indeed. It’s like Dark Souls, Dragon’s Dogma and the Elder Scrolls had a baby. I’ve just been wondering the map having adventures with anyone telling me what to do and it’s been great.
Realy i have played this game for almost 40 hours and only done one side quest and not sure if i have startet the main quest yet because the game don't tell you anything.
This is my first Souls game so I went in without the mindset of a fanboy. This game is literally sitting in my top all time list. It’s a masterpiece. You know it’s a great game when you’re 70 hrs in your first play through and already thinking about your second playthrough when you still got 70 more hrs of your first playthrough ahead of you. It’s that kind of game. I never followed the development of this game so I never anticipated it. It’s been the biggest surprise I’ve had gaming in a long time.
Not implying that you were about too but speaking from the perspective of a gamer who has almost played every recent From Software RPG NEVER give up!! There is almost always at least 2 various solutions to every obstacles, puzzles ,challenges in yje games and the devs want gamers to win not lose or that's the impression that I get after finishing DS 1 to 3 , Bloodborne and Demon Souls. Video Games are fun!
He does something like this in every single video he makes. People tend to comment on it and it drives up audience participation. Its pretty smart. I bet thats how the "pizza's on me" started too.
I've never played a Dark Souls game before but I pre-ordered this one and I can't wait to explore it all out. But I'm pretty sure I'm going to miss more than half the secrets in this game
With that last one, you might want to do it on your second run-through. It interferes with Ranni Questline and you can miss out on one of the best armors in the game.
12:20 this isn't the main route to that area. You're supposed to jump on a ledge close to where you fight the pots, that's also how you open the shortcut next to liftside chamber
You know you can fast travel to any travel point at any time right? Not trying to be a dick it’s just when this happened to me I had to remind myself I could just “nope” out at any time back to Roundtable or an easier area.
Funny enough with the summon lady I didn’t talk to her after I went inside the castle and she still showed up at the round table so she probably shows up after you beat the boss
I haven't beat the first boss, or made it into the castle yet but she showed up for me at the roundtable. I didn't even notice her sitting over there at the shack. She still ended up giving me the jellyfish spirit too after I finished her quest line and she set up her shop.
A very useful trick for fake walls and activating traps is to use one of the shackles. They have a large area of effect and will reveal hidden things and deactivate some traps.
As someone who has never been interested in fromsoftware games and had no intention of getting this, the reviews have altered my stance. When I get a PS5 I'll get this game to see what the big deal is. So I decided to watch this video to get some tips for whenever I play. Well.....consider me overwhelmed. Some of these tips are so obscure I'll never remember all this and they're so random and off the beaten path. It's like I'll have enough on my plate just TRYING to get into this game. I cant juggle all this💀
I think i got it why people are so hype about this game. The game throws you into the world and gives you little information as possible and you have to discover all of that. Like finding x key and an item to open an dungeon and you do that by yourself. The combat is super hard. Then how you suppose to know all of that stuff... Don't kill it so he opens a store 😂 Not a lot of games are like that.. I see
Combat isn't *hard*, but rather it is *fair*, to both the player AND the enemies. Not many games, especially ARPGs, where you actually are challenged by even the base level mooks.
As someone who's played all the other Soulsborne games the world is the hardest thing about it and the change up is great. In all the other games the world was pretty linear, so progression was easier in that respect. In Elden Ring I have vague idea of where to go and keep running into bosses everywhere which is much more difficult than before imo.
AMAZING Vid!!! Unlocking great OP items early is Always a Huge Help in From Software games…like getting the Whirligig Saw in Bloodborne extra early, which made the rest of the game easier💯
Never played a souls game, and I hate open world games, but I loved the way this game looked. I'm so hooked on it. I die constantly I'm really bad but I love it. And I just summon help for the bosses until I get better. Few game releases have felt like such a shared experience as this.
I'm 3 hours into the game, and I'm playing on the lowest graphics with a 1050 TI and some how, I haven't had any issues so far, runs pretty smooth actually with is wild since all my pc parts are below the minimum requirements. I just hope it stays fine so I can finish the game.
If you’re kinda sleeping on those Ashes of War and you’ve played Sekiro, think of them as the Art skills from Sekiro. Fairly positive the Ashes of War are essentially a carry over mechanic from Sekiro anyway.
This game alone is awaking something in me that’s been asleep since the 90s era of gaming.. Absolutely going to be alongside some the best gaming experiences of all time.. no doubt about it..
Agreed. It's got that completely blind aspect of exploration to it where you start out with no info and the narrative is revealed through your gameplay. It's such a nostalgic and addictive feeling. It reminds me in a weird way of an old PS game called Deathtrap Dungeon (released maybe 1997) that had a similar feel, though different type of game.
Minor spoiler for Stormveil Castle below: There's an npc just inside the left tower after defeating Margit. Talking to him starts his quest line that has him steal around 25% of your runes everytime you die. You can return to him and see he's opened a shop with said runes he stole. Killing him returns all runes that he nabbed.
i am brand new to this stuff and hearing that the first real boss (#8 on list) that I beat him on my own with spirt ahe summon wolfs I can not believe I beat him omg so hard but im proud and so happy to hear some vetern players may have struggles with him I know I can do this! :D
I honestly expected to watch this and see 10 thing's I already knew about elden ring but each one I had no idea about and shocked me at how close I came to finding them myself but missed them by a few feet 😂
The talisman that boosts health stamina and carry weight is a game changer for me right now. Getting that allows me to wear the Radhan armor set and stay at medium level rolls.
I’ve been debating on purchasing this, so seeing these videos helps with my decision. I’ve just never been a huge From Software guy, so I don’t know if I wanna throw down 90 bucks Canadian for a game I might not b into, ya kno?
I’ve never played a souls like game before Elden Ring, I’m three hours in, I can’t beat the first boss, I have no idea what I’m doing, I’m dying to everything bigger than me, and yet I’m still having a blast playing this game,
@@Watchful0ne same. I grew up playing call of duty and 2k. Hate those games now. Nothing to play. Picked up elden ring, and yeah I’m getting my ass kicked but loving it. It’s rewarding tbh. And addicting when you kick there ass.
at the statue where you need to use the erudition emote you can also scale the broken wall outside of it and double jump with your horse to make it onto top half of the tower, honestly i didnt know about the emote solution until watching this and when it said "erudition guide thee" i just thought it meant there was a unique solution to scaling it that you would need to find lol
Yo. This is my first from software game, I’ve been to intimidated to play any of them, and with this I’m still pretty intimidated lol but man this game can feel really rewarding and even addicting. Idk if I’ll have as much enjoyment for the rest of their games since the open world element really does it for me, but they did a phenomenal job on this. I can understand the hype.
Glad I watched this after margit Boss spent like 2 hours fighting him and almost came to the conclusion he was impossible then I managed to beat him without getting hit once. Sometimes failing over and over again only pushes you to try harder.
@@wadimek116 It does not scale, after a summon there's twice as much of you vs the same amount of him (and there's an NPC summon right before the door). He can still wipe the floor with both of you, but you have a slightly better chance.

Fun Fact: Margit’s Shackle is can be used to find illusionary walls. Idk how this works but the shackle applies one attack damage in a huge area around the player. That’s enough damage to make illusionary walls disappear.
All these things are really helpful, thanks. That fact about illusory walls just gave me my first loud groan about this game. The "hidden path ahead" meme is already stale on day 1, and I usually ignore messages in front of walls. But now...
Roderika appeared at the round table for me after I talked to her a bunch but hadn't gone right into Stormveil castle nor gotten the item from the grafting room. I think you can trigger the move by fighting Margit for the first time.
Margit’s shackle only works in the first phase of the fight, and only works twice. You can use it again but it will not do anything and lock you in the item animation.
Never played a souls game, pre ordered this one, but the more I watch to prepare the more I realize I may get really frustrated. I tend to get lost easily in games, like mass effect one was really frustrating to navigate and so was dragon age. Do you think I’ll be able to enjoy this? Open world exploration games are my absolute favorite
By activating one of the teleport traps you can get send to the crystal mines and die a bunch. However once you escape into the swamp, hug the coastline below the city and you can get the "Rotten Stray Ashes". I found it by accident and later learned that its ability to stack ROT is insanely good for early and mid game, especially that git Margit or the T-Sentinel.
This game is truly next level on the soul genre, took a while but they did it. Im still 6h In but the world is so massive that even previous areas that I explored really cautious, I find new things on 2nd and 3rd look.
DON'T do the Fringefolk dungeon (in the Stranded Graveyard) area that talisman is NOT worth it; it will only give an extra around 15 hp, only 2 pts for equip load, and 7 pts in stamina. Also you don't have to do the Graphing Room part for the spirit tuning, just talk to her. Once you have access to the Roundroom she will be, and all you have to do is talk to Blacksmith then her.
Came here to say this, and it's absolutely true. Previous players might think it's like the FAP ring from DS1, and it technically is, but it's also the most inferior version of it. The Golden Seed is a far better choice for starting gift.
@Darkroot Garden I was boiling after I got it only to find out how useless it was. I could've leveled up around 9 times all the runes I lost getting that stupid talisman. Plus in the walk up to the talisman they fail to mention about the fire totem and how you have to physically hit it to turn it off.
I tried to like this game. I really did. But it’s too frustrating for me to enjoy. I see people talking about how they enjoy finally killing a boss after 150 times dying. I’m sorry but nothing about that is fun to me. Oh well..
Never played these kinda games before and thought I'd give this one a go after all the hype. Played for an hour and bored out my skull. Absolutely no clue what I'm doing and clearly not my kinda game unfortunately. £50 wasted in my opinion. Hopefully get a refund tomorrow 🤞
Hope you learned your lesson. Don’t play these type of games obviously they are just too hard for you. Go play an easier game that will hold your hand or something. Cod is always easy.
@@adiddy911 thanks for your input. It's nothing to do with difficulty, it's just I'm not into open world rpg's without a fixed story or quest line. Great tips but as a new player it would be much better if you showed where all these things are on the map. For many you don't show it and go way to fast. Great stuff still. 👏
Do you best to 100% the region before fight the boss of that region. It is so much easier. According to the strategy guide each boss is scaled for that. So that is why if you B line the main quest and main bosses you will struggle as you would be fighting each boss extremely under leveled like most streamers.
Never played a Dark Souls game in my life, wasn't even sure if I was going to buy it but then my wife bought it for me. At first I was so confused, I was like, where are the quests, what do I do, who do I fight, where do I go, but after exploring around in some areas I definitely shouldn't have been in lol I started to figure it all out and really enjoy the game. Went with the Samari class, so much fun. Radhan has to be one of the most challenging bosses I've ever faced in any game, I love that if you aren't paying attention you can still stumble across enemies in almost any location that can destroy you and to find locations you really have to search because sometimes all you can see is a ledge that leads seemingly to nowhere. The weapons, the armor, the lore, the bosses, the NPCs, the environment and the challenge makes this game probably one of the best games I've played in years. It's definitely up there for my all time favorites so far. My favorite parts have to be the underground cities Siofra and Nakkron where amazing and I'm almost at the 3rd one now

Circles is the best way, because if your line is northeast you’re going to get wrecked.
I was going to add this comment but scrolled through first to see if someone had added this already.

Bestial Vitality does nearly negate it and lasts a decently long time without costing much FP or Faith to use. If you use the Mountain Dew Talisman with it then you’ll fully negate poison.

Tip for summons use skeletons since they also reanimate and revive with full hp. Useful for boss fights and they keep on reanimating unless they get hit during reanimating animation then they're gone. Makes em great for breaking aggro off you
I need to game with someone like you. Who can teach me everything about this game I really need the guide ps5

Can confirm!
Expect for ones without bells I guess because I went to one without a bell and it only let me get the one I had in my inventory

i dont get it. care to elaborate?
Just a quick note. I got the spirit tuner just by talking to her and then reaching lvl 20. I didn't go get the item, and I hadn't beaten Margit. You don't need to do what this video says you do aside from finding her and exhausting her dialogue at the shack. And then exhausting her and the blacksmiths dialogue once she shows up at the round table.
Same!
Me as well!
Same I didn’t have to get that thing from the grafting room either
i was lvl 30 and i exhausted her dialogue and still didnt get it so i dont think the lvl 20 stuff is correct either.
tho she did randomly show up today after killing margit even though i didnt get the item or whatever.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’m with you. I got teleported into the fight with the giant, beat him and still missed the item featured in the video.
"This is all easier said than done"
And that sums up this game perfectly.
True, I found out normally heavy attacking him makes it harder due to him moving a lot and the jumping heavy attack makes it easier to hit him while maintain a strong stance break (should be the same with a lot of quick moving enemies and should be used a lot when needed because stance breaking is so good)
Use the summon with spirit wolves. I owned him with the scythe. He was very easy.
I just skipped the boss entirely in the beginning and came back for him after the 3rd boss. There is a passage under the broken bridges before you get all the way to margit
Another tip: Rotten Stray summon can solo him because of the Scarlet Rot
@@222psk where do you get that?
Margits Shackle only works during phase 1 just so you know, he becomes immune to its effect in phase 2

Yeah Always gave me The same feeling When i saw The trailers
That's because they used old assets from the previous titles, it's not just animations that's copied and pasted.
I'm more shocked at the last gen graphics we where promised next gen. Don't get me twisted I'm not hating the game but I can't say I'm not disappointed in some of the quality and how long it took for the games release.
I believe it was most of the time was waiting on George R.R Martin to write the story, then they spent a year developing a the world and copied and pasted enemy's like the giant crabs, animations and building with last gen graphics.
Still fun.
@@The-Spanish-Inquisition490 I swear I hear somewhere that George RR Martin actually finished the lore and stuff in 2019
@@The-Spanish-Inquisition490 surprisingly, George actually finished his part years ago. And to be completely honest, their development time is actually pretty fast.

This game doesn’t tell you anything… I‘m running around for a week and just don’t know where to go. Completely lost.

But you can easily get another key early and just go back
There's a key right beside the red riding hood looking chick on the road to the castle too
Also the one that gives you the extra flask is really helpful the rest of them you can get pretty easily.

The game throws you into the world and gives you little information as possible and you have to discover all of that. Like finding x key and an item to open an dungeon and you do that by yourself.
The combat is super hard.
Then how you suppose to know all of that stuff... Don't kill it so he opens a store 😂
Not a lot of games are like that.. I see
Combat isn't *hard*, but rather it is *fair*, to both the player AND the enemies. Not many games, especially ARPGs, where you actually are challenged by even the base level mooks.

Glad I watched this after margit Boss spent like 2 hours fighting him and almost came to the conclusion he was impossible then I managed to beat him without getting hit once. Sometimes failing over and over again only pushes you to try harder.
He's alot easier without summoning help. Use ash dogs and it's cakd
@@chrisb.9083 I was using the giant jellyfish cause it has a lot more hp and can tank for me while I dps
@@chrisb.9083 What's boss scaling at coop?
@@wadimek116 It does not scale, after a summon there's twice as much of you vs the same amount of him (and there's an NPC summon right before the door). He can still wipe the floor with both of you, but you have a slightly better chance.
@@earendilm He didn't wiped the floor with me. My first solo attempt was getting him to 40%. Then I summoned a wolves 5 attempts later and it was child's play
It doesn't tell you to rage quit when you die many times😂
Lol. Fortunately in this game there is plenty of other shit to do if that's the case.
Yes and play the other souls games too
Keep a notebook
I love how you leave certain details out to prevent spoiling the game you’re the best
I’m glad I found this video I was definitely considering getting the HP increase amulet, thanks guy you the real Elden Lords
Don't bother with that starting talisman for HP, it's just a laughable increase in my opinion. Totally not worth it as starting gift.
Always love your vids. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, will do!
I can't wait to get my hands on the game in 2 hours, just remember that death isn't the end James and push through :)
@Darkroot Garden
I was boiling after I got it only to find out how useless it was. I could've leveled up around 9 times all the runes I lost getting that stupid talisman. Plus in the walk up to the talisman they fail to mention about the fire totem and how you have to physically hit it to turn it off.
"Ambushed by a familiar face" if it's not Patches we riot. If it is Patches we riot. Either way, fuck Patches
I don't really have the patience or time for these kinda games. But it's nice to know cod is easy, just the same as it's full of hackers and is literally the most repetitive multiplayer I can think of. But again thanks for your input. (With your literal Facebook pic being call of duty picture 🤦)
@@Dixy_1989 huh. Maybe shoulda done a little more research on the game buddy :)
@@adiddy911 I'm not your buddy
@@Dixy_1989 true true
7:34 I love how you fall after your stomp XD
You can use walking mausoleums after you have used a remembrance, you dont have to still have it in your inventory
Great tips but as a new player it would be much better if you showed where all these things are on the map. For many you don't show it and go way to fast. Great stuff still. 👏
10:15 I have never heard gesture being pronounced like this before....
Never played any from software game before Elden ring. It took me 6 hours of playing to realize you can run. 🤦♂️
😅
