Yes I agree. One of the greatest stories ever.

how is it a tragedy?
@@narniaphukethe lost everything
@@narniaphuketI think the fate of Vader. Started off as a little happy boy, later all these things happen, like his mother dies. The guy wanted to save the people he loved, but only destroyed everything. Hate is probably the only thing he can feel now, most of the time. Palpatine: "It’s just a prank bro."
The Prank:
It's amazing that the comic could bring such depth in movies that I had watched in the theater over 40 years ago. The emotions would have been insane for Vader the moment he discovered he had a son. It's as though Luke represented Vader getting back everything he had lost just by having his son by his side.
This is brilliant. So nice moment. Vader's memories. How he remembered seeing Luke with his lightsaber first time. This is where Vader decided to take over the Empire, and kill Sidious and make Luke his apprentice and rule the galaxy with him. Yes,Anakin wanted to overthrow Sidious on Mustafar,he told Padme that,to kill him. May the Force be with you too😊
Wonder what vader thought on Cloud City, watching a young Skywalker land a starfighter and emerge with Anakin's lightsaber and a familiar blue astromech droid ready to make a hotheaded rescue. Sometimes things dont repeat but they rhyme...
@@okankyoto i think he had flashbacks. he remembered himself as Anakin landing starfighter and leaving with r2. It was strange for him

RIP James Earl. Thanks for being our Darth Vador and Mufasa. Rest easy, our Lion King.
Padme's Lifeforce was only used as a pawn to lure young Anakin to the dark side. He is indeed Sideous!
Insidious...
9:09 I think this is Vader trying to rationalize the hope he feels in Anakin and this is the moment where he begins to take back control from Vader probably because he accepted Anakins hope and that is what led him back to the light
Obi Wan and Yoda did the same thing to Luke by hiding the fact Vader was his father.
Luke ended up hearing it from Vader in E5 due to his impatience and recklessness. He thought he could take Vader then and that it was better to risk the future of the rebellion on his assumptions, but he clearly wasn't ready. Yoda clearly tells Luke in ROTJ that they had every intention of telling Luke that Vader was his father when he was truly ready to confront him. So no, they didn't lie to him.
@@decepticonxhunter4850 true - from a certain point of view 😉. But IMO withholding the truth of something that important is the same as lying about it. And when Luke flew off to confront Vader, Obi Wan and Yoda had the opportunity to say, “hey Luke stop, we need to tell you something”. They didn’t.
Oh, his desire to destroy Palpetine grew ever stronger after this! 👿
This was a pivotal moment for him

Did Palpatine really lie? Yoda Bail Organa and Obi wan made sure she looked like she died in childbirth. Even from Sidious. Palpatine had no reason to believe otherwise that Anakin killed her.
They made it look like Padme was still pregnant when she died. They didn't want anyone (other than the three of them) to know the children survived to make it easier to hide them from Palpatine.
@@stevegallo8483 Almost the same thing. But it still means Palpatine would have no idea the twins survived.

I wonder if Boba Fett gave Vader a special price for his services since Vader killed his father's murderer (Windu).
He probably asked for extra credits since he knew Vader could afford pretty much anything

Palpatine didn't lie, from a certain point a view.
Or at all really, withholding the truth isn't a lie, though I know many would disagree.
Devil sometime tells the truth. It's the mix
This 'certain point of view' thing tells me George was snorting something in the 80's.
He did not lie at all. First, Vader did kill her (only she did not die right away). Also, Palpatine did not know that children were alive (unless Disney messes up that too 😁) .
@@TheCastellan Must be those death sticks. ☠️
Rest in peace to the voice of Darth Vader James Earl Jones we just lost him not too long ago😢
Idk man, did Palpatine really lie about the death of Padme though? That force choke by Anakin definitely didn’t help Padme when she was giving birth to Luke and Leia 🤷🏻♂️. Palpatine manipulated Anakin and took advantage of his vulnerabilities when things were unstable with the Jedi council and even the senate. Technically speaking it was his own actions and anger that ultimately led to her death or at the very least her lack of willpower to continue on without him. Anakin and Padme both died during order 66. “It’s like poetry, it rhymes”. - George Lucas. Also RIP James Earl Jones, one of the greatest voices in pop culture history!
In the book or a screenplay for revenge of the Sith, it explains how the Emperor took her Lifeforce from her and put it into Anakin to make sure he survived.
@@The_blind_Jedi Thats right, but to me it’s just as enticing as “Somehow Palpatine returned”.
Vader did kill her, and Palpatine did not know about children. If Vader did not kill her, what would be the cause of death ? Overall, this Disney comic is just beating a dead horse.
In the book sidious takes her remaining life force so he did in a way if it wasn’t retconned

I can imagine how mad he would be, it's the kind of thing that will make anyone snap
Thanks for standing with Theory
This makes the whole "Join me and we can defeat the emperor and rule the galaxy as father and son" thing make so much more sense.
I want to know more about if the Force hid Anakins connection to Leia. He stood right next to her as she got angry and sad, but Vader never even picked up so much of a hint of any of it. He should have been hit with a sense of anxiety crossing his dark side as he tried to twist her emotions. (this happens in cannon Star Wars when a sith master is about to have their apprentice betray them)
@ If you had to put her in a class like in KOTOR, what do you think she would be?
Anakin was surprised that his master lied to him.....like the guy wasn't doing that his whole life.
Vader needs a stand alone movie or series about his life between revenge of the sith and the new hope.
the rule of 2...either Vader leaves and gets his own apprentice meaning Sidious needs a new one or Vader kills his master and becomes master himself. Sidious has every reason to be nervous.
I think that if Darth Vader had found out the truth about Padme's death he would've enraged and killed Palpatine.
Vader was so angry that by sheer will through the Dark Side "Palpatined" became a verb and was coined in a video produced in a galaxy far, far away a long, long time in the future.
Something always to remember, "A powerful leader is only looking for a powerful servant and not a powerful friend. Subjugation is whats wanted and not the potential for a rival"
Your video is so awesome and so are you! Palpatine is ended by Vader throwing him down the ventilation shaft in the movie. Such a satisfying death.
I mean, "In your anger, you've killed her" is not *technically* a lie. lol
In the first film, A New Hope, the battle between Vader and Obi-Wan, Vader doesn't kill him but just disappears.
I mean, his dark side still caused her death. She was so broken hearted that the trauma of childbirth right after finding out her husband just slaughtered a bunch of kids killed her.
Is that really what caused it though? I'm not sure there's a concrete theory on her death
@@dabess777 it’s my interpretation of it, at least
From Face Value, it seemed she died of a broken heart. It takes toll on the mind and attacks the Body. Grief killed her...Palpatine is a grimy Mastermind.
@@305VERSATILE Padme did not lose the will to live and die of a broken heart, but instead had her life force drained away by Palpatine to keep Darth Vader alive following his injuries on Mustafar, however her cause of death was misdiagnosed by medical droids that did not understand the Force
@@victorcambridge1854 it could also be that Luke and leia force power kept her alive until they were born and the drawers, don’t even understand the force
"I HAVE A SON!" Greatest moment in Star Wars Lego.
I have a bit of my own head canon where at some point vader encounters R2 maybe while stopping a rebel mission between TESB and RotJ, and in a brief moment of silence R2 plays a recording of Anakin and Padme's wedding from the end of AotC and in doing so they share a moment of silent reminiscence with each other just before Vader breaks out of the memories and continues his attack. Probably going to flesh this out at some point and turn it into an actual fan fiction of some kind.
Sidious: " I sense another Skywalker..."
Darth vader: " that is..... impossible"
-Empire strikes back
2:30 "He felt an indescribable pull towards the young boy" ayo 🤨
the best of all is that it fits so nicely into legends to unless legends have its own reveal of when he found out. and if not it nicely covers up a important plotholl in regard to how vader learned about luke beeing his son.
After all these years of watching HISHE make the "I have a son?!?!" Joke that he actually says that in a comic is delightful
Technically, Sidious didn't lie. He said it SEEMS he killed her which implies Sidious didn't know her exact cause of death but speculated Vader was the cause.
The issue is that Palpatine treated Anakin like his own son. Looking out for Anakin, supporting him, and promising him that together they would find ways to save padme etc...
It's in this moment that Vader realized (the same as the other sith before him realized) that Sidious is a deceiver through and through. Only looking inward for self gain no matter the expenses to anyone around him.
@@joshgaston7839
In fact Emperor didn't tried to save/ cure Padme. She was in Senate when Empire proclaimed, and Emperor not send anyone to call Padme for visiting him in throne room.

With out read legend or extended universe books
Go by the story of how anakin became Darth Vader, anakin was manipulated from a child by Palpatine
We see how anakin is being manipulated and believing his wife is cheating on him,
Hence the force choke, and then when Vader is being put in his suit we see Palpatine deliberately deleting certain memories from anakin's memory
So he can control him even more
Actually, that was kind of hilarious: “WHAT!” Vader was almost never caught off guard. 2:11
TBF Anakin never should've fall to the dark side regarding Padme if he just stopped to think for a second.
Palpatine was the separatist's leader, he caused the war, etc. Meaning the assassination attemps against Padme were on him.
That's what I always thought was the worst ep III weakness.
You just got Palpatine'd
love your videos
But Leia...
Did Vader sense nothing from Leia as he had her drugged and interrogated for an undisclosed amount of time?
Would Vader not have used the darkside on Leia to force out the location of the Rebel base?
Leia didn't crack, Vader got nothing out of her. Sure, she wasn't trained but to resist a darkside irrigation complete with drugs and a torture droid? Leia would clearly have been a presence in the force.
Plus, Leia fires blasters with her eyes closed, mirroring Luke's lightsaber training with the blastsheild over his face.
Was Leia instinctively aiming her blaster shots with the force?
Did Leia instinctively use the force to resist Vader's interrogation?
Did Leia instinctively tap into the force to gain enough physical strength to strangle a hutt?
Did Leia instinctively tap into the force to empathically connect with other sentient beings like Wicket?
We're not told, but were we shown Leia's force abilities in the original trilogy?
Without James Earl Jones, star wars truly is dead. The sequels by the house of mouse didnt help. R.I.P. James Earl Jones. Your voice was one of a kind.
TBF Palpatine just knew she was dead and assumed that was the reason
What did he expect? Palpatine lied about everything.😂😂😂
First time to your channel. Thanks for a video really well done. I look forward to seeing more of your work. Cheers from Canada!
When I saw the comic panel in the video along with you reading out "I have a son" all I could think of is the running joke about it by HISHE.
After he chokes her she loses her will to live, there’s a very real sense in which he did kill her. She says before this happens that he is breaking her heart, and then she dies of what is basically a broken heart.
Palpatine lied about a lot of things just so he could remain the master sith lord and keep his power as emperor
Yup! I'd often wondered if Anakin ever discovered that it was Palpatine who was behind all the attacks on Padme? I don't think Anakin had time to put it together. He should've realized that Palpatine was Dooku's master and that Dooku was trying to kill them on Geonosis and Jango Fett, an assassin that was hired to kill Padme, was at Dooku's side.
*Weekend viewing vibes!* ⭐😃👍
I wanna belive this is where anakin started to come back, the thought that some part of padme, of his previous life was out there, alive nad fighting gave him something he had lacked since the end of the clone wars, Hope

The release order is how the fans saw it back in the dat, the Chronological order follows the timeline, the creator George lucas said thats the simplest way to get by the movies
Though, this video follows up with the comics. The comic provides extra info you can read them online after watching
Everyones a critic. That 6 foot enormous man. Was a emo intense one.
Thank you. Love your videos. :)
There can only be a master and apprentice. Palpatine wanted luke as an apprentice while Vader wanted to be the master and Luke as the Apprentice. Overthrow the emperor
I'm convinced that Vader, even after knowing that Sidious is a liar, and his discovery of his son being alive, kept being Vader as a punishment to himself. He hated himself so much that he tormented himself by being Vader to show himself that "This is the consequence of your choices and actions, and you get to see it for yourself."
I think it's funny that he holds back from destroying the transparisteel window. You have to remember that it's capable of taking direct laser cannon attacks. And he just starts cracking it from being pissed.
The Vader's Quest graphic novel was one of the first pieces of Star Wars media I read after moving to my current address. If you haven't already read it, please do so, it's amazing!
Great episode guys.
I mean when he learned about Luke that’s when I thought . He would be like hey wait a minute !
Hiding him from the Empire, keeps the Skywalker name.
Replace the empire with Disney
Wasn’t her death technically from his anger though? Him snapping makes her so depressed she lost the Will to live
You know depending on how one views the situation Palatine didn’t necessarily lie to Vader anyway. He did not say “You killed Padme with the Force choke” he said “In your anger you killed her”. Before the internet decoded the meaning of the line I assumed it meant Darth Vader killed Padme by being on the dark side. Sure people will say “but she lost the will too live”, but the main reason she lost the will to live was because of Darth Vader’s connection to the dark side aka his anger. But because that’s what I thought the line meant that Palpatine meant that he was actually telling the truth to Vader. Also even if Vader didn’t kill Padme with the force choke he still was responsible for Padme’s end regardless.
They really need to do a Darth Vader series while Christian is still able to play him...
Palpatine may have lied but he was also telling the truth in a sense because Anakin was angry at Padme and his fall to the dark side broke her heart which caused her death.
Again I love your stories and gives me my Star War i wish we would get keep doing what you do my brother 😊
