Thank you for bringing essential terms like "holla atcha boi" to the academic lexicon. If more academics would familiarize themselves with such terms (competently, as you demonstrated here), I think it would benefit efforts toward public education on difficult topics. That is one of the primary things that has excited me lately about the academic community on TH-cam. They aren't stuffed away in libraries, but rather are exposed to comment sections full of vibe checks, so there is a great deal more cultural awareness in the delivery of academic material than there used to be.
I try to keep things light but as scholarly as I can - I think one can be a serious scholar and present material in an engaging way. If I succeed in that then I can rest happy. Thanks for watching!

@@TiroDvD Technology and youth culture have historically been two topics that seem to become more difficult to address as one gets older. It seems weird to encode calendar info but maybe if their religious practices were being persecuted it would be helpful to keep the adjustments for their calendar a secret. It would be a lot harder to figure out when their holidays are happening. The adjustments for lunar calendar problems are found as far back as neolithic wooden post calendars in Europe and even the Egyptians faced the same issue and wrote about holidays falling at the wrong time of the year. Meanwhile, I have enough trouble keeping track of everyone's birthdays as it is

The Yachad kept the calendar in sync every year through intercalary days. The first day of every year was always on a Wednesday because it is a solar calendar and the sun was created on the 4th day of the week. The year could only start after the spring equinox, which is described in the book of Enoch. So, for example, if the spring equinox was on a Monday, the first day of the year would start on Wednesday of that same week, which means Tuesday after the spring equinox would be considered not a day on the calendar but an intercalary day. The "Asherit Dead Sea Scrolls" TH-cam channel does a very good job of explaining how the Book of Enoch and the Book of Jubilees work together to keep the calendar in sync. That is likely why there are so many of these two books found in the caves
The Gospel of Thomas was found in Nag Hammadi two years prior to The Dead Sea Scrolls. They are 114 sayings of Jmmanuel the Nazarene, most likely written by the brother of Jmmanuel. One of the only genuine CE texts other than the Talmud of Jmmanuel.
@@TheEsotericaChannel The writings found in Nag Hammadi spanned about two generations from the living teaching of Jmmanuel. They had to be sourced from one of two To'ams. There were two; Juda To'am the brother of Jmmanuel and To'am his disciple. To'am the disciple was said to have fled in a caravan to the east. Since Jmmanuel understood writing I feel Juda To'am also knew writing and shared his works. I really cannot be certain, only my intuitive process. But the writings found in Nag Hammadi are similar to the Talmud of Jmmanuel, the original scrolls of the New Testament located in Jerusalem. I would love to share this knowledge.
