Thank you for reviewing our beautiful choir and being kind to us as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.❤
@@andrewstout2131 Seriously? Why wouldn't he be kind?
I’m grateful that you don’t know why. The members of this church have been mercilessly persecuted for over 200 years. We are grateful for any kindness that comes our way.
@@themist6815 There are many who do not take kindly to religion of any kind, but especially us, an behave hatefully. Even on the facebook page of the choir, almost every week there are people speaking against us.
What has this choir to do with the LDS?
@@onlytruthmatters777it is their Salt Lake temple choir
Previous tab choir member here, they actually do one on one evaluations to determine your brightness, vibrato, etc and let you know what they require in order to achieve this level of unity. This choir is an army of humble singers, doing whatever they can to share beauty with the world, it was an absolute honor to be a part of it 🥰❤️🙏🏻
I read somewhere that they use a specific singing method. Would that be the Bel Canto style? Whatever it is, it WORKS BEAUTIFULLY. Thank you for your service in the Choir.
I once looked up the audition process and the length of time before one can even sing at General Conference. That’s some serious dedication!
that's cool to hear ❤
When two or more voices sing the exact same note in a choir, a physiological occurrence happens called “toning” where their voices become one. The oneness of this choir is unparalleled perfection and seems to have the power to transport all listening through the doors of heaven and into the very presence of Almighty God. Their oneness invites all into a oneness with Him.🤍
that’s true, but there’s more: you get frequencies that are created beyond that which is individually sung; I can’t help but think that those really matter as well. Frequency affects what we can feel and perceive, and well-being.
LOVE THIS!❤️🙏🥹
@@daphneraven6745 I've sung in a wonderful choir and when we hit perfect pitch in a room with good accoustics, it rings and the hair on your body stands on end. It's truly a magical feeling; singing lifts our spirits to a realm nothing else can achieve.
My friend sings with the Tabernacle Choir, and mentioned to me that they are much more likely to NOT choose a soloist to join them just for this reason. They want people who can blend.
Amen
Come to UTAH the first weekend in October for GENERAL CONFERENCE you can see and hear the TAB IN PERSON.👍👍👍
For FREE!
No need to wait until conference (although that's great as well). You can literally see and hear the tabernacle choir live and in person nearly every Sunday morning (except when they're away touring) for a live 30 minute broadcast of Music and the Spoken Word. As a bonus you can usually hear the Orchestra at Temple Square as well as M&SW - which you won't hear at conference.
Just tune into conference 30 minutes earlier. @ps3681
Or the amazing Christmas concerts. Really even going to a weekly broadcast is an amazing experience.
It's a whole new experience in person. Tickets are needed to conference, so make sure you have them before showing up!
President Reagan loved listening to them, and called them "America's Choir".
My grandpa was in the choir that day
I remember them in his Inauguration parade
I had tickets to a Tabernacle Choir concert on the evening of 9/11/01. All day after the attacks the choir went back and forth on deciding whether to keep their concert as scheduled. They finally decided to hold the concert, but exchanged all their songs for ones of peace and reassurance. ❤️ It was a beautiful concert to attend, and it brought peace to my heart after a very rough day.
See, a life long member here - I didn't know that either. Wow! I think they bring peace and tranquility to us, during these trying times of nearing the Second Coming, too.
That is one performance I wish was recorded and rebroadcasted later 😭 because I remember hearing about that and wishing I could watch it on TV 😭
It does me good to see and hear another person's reaction to the Choir. We get to taking them for granted which we should never do.
This day was miserably hot and humid and the rigors of filming was brutal. So as you watch the video, think of the dedication it took to smile for the camera under those conditions. We all considered it an honor.
Wow! Thank you, and all of the Choir. I live in Portland, and your music, at this time, is much more personally appreciated and felt in my heart, than at any other time in my "life long melmber" life. Thank you for this sacrifice that you have made to produce this video! It will bring blessings of peace to all that hear you.
The Choir's efforts and result are truly a testament to the world, of our Lord, Jesus Christ!!! I know I speak for all 17 million members; worldwide, who don't have the means to respond to an 'actual member' of the Choir. Our daughter lives in Italy, there are very devout members there, who love and appreiciate the Choir. We will need you more and more as things start happening in the world, nearing the end. You will all be highly blessed for your sacrifices going forth.❤
Sting performed with them at the 2002 Olympics he noted that he never heard a group sound and be as one. No one tried to stand out. He was super impressed and felt honored to perform with them.
Great reaction! You made me cry! 😢
That's enough to make up for what happened to him after Dune
Someone show this man the spirit of God like a fire is burning
It's going to be sooo worth it when you see them live. You feel the waves of sound constantly hit you. Excited for you to experience that for yourself
I agree! You really need to hear them live. It will stun you.
What often doesn't come up is the fact that the Tabernacle Choir prays prior to every performance and pleads that the Lord will bless their voices as well as those who listen!
Their mission is also consacrated unto God , and are anointed before the start their service.
@@zioncityofgod4818Oh my goodness, i'm a life long member and I have never heard that before. Thank you for letting us know.
I Love this . I learned that if I Pray Every time before I read my Scriptures,
I learned something new. God wants Us just to Invite Him into Your Lives.
Yes He is always with us , but it's nice to be ask to come in.
You’re absolutely right… Mack Wilberg brings it again. His arrangements transport any listener. ❤
When I watched the first reaction video he did with the choir I thought, "he just got Mack Wilberged." lol Great arrangements, so powerful.
The special overwhelming feeling you feel is the spirit of the Lord. This choir is truly special.
Carlos Santana often comments about how great music can “change the body’s molecular structure “, as when someone gets goosebumps, tears, etc, hence, the physical rearrangement of the body and soul. The Tabernacle Choir can do that to people on a consistent basis.
We have a scripture that says, “For my soul delighteth in the song of the heart; yea, the song of the righteous is a prayer unto me, and it shall be answered with a blessing upon their heads" (Doctrine and Covenants 25:12). Music can bring the Spirit of God to our hearts

I could listen to the Tabernacle Choir sing the Battle Hymn of the Republic daily and be brought to tears each time. Growing up in Utah and having the opportunity to attend multiple live performances, I took them for granted in my youth. Now that I’m older, I have a true appreciation for the talent and dedication of this incredible organization. It brings such joy to see others discover the beauty and magnificence of this world treasure.
One of my favorite too! 🇺🇸❤️
Oh yes the battle him of the republic is amazing. I live 45 min away from down town and haven’t taken the opportunity to go on a Sunday morning in a long time I might just have to go next Sunday to music and the spoken word.

It's a differant Jesus. LDS believe they can become gods.
Mormon writings taught/wrote that Mary had literal sex to conceive Jesus! They believe in a lot of messed up stuff that is NOT Biblical. The have their BoM.
@@onlytruthmatters777 Our living Church believes in the Jesus Christ of the New Testament, no one can change that.
Read Revelation 3:21 and 21:7 and John 10:34-35 where Jesus says “ye are gods”

I also recommend you listen to them singing the national anthem at the opening ceremony of the 2002 Olympics. It was right after 9/11 and their rendition gets me every time

Honestly, God blesss you man! Your authenticity and genuine nature comes through your content. Praying for your continued success!
Heavenly indeed thank you Charlie for your raw honesty and tears, I wouldn’t expect any less from you and that is why we love you so much ❤
Another newbie here, and another latter-day saint who is loving the experience of hearing our beloved choir through your ears as if for the first time. Thank you.
The choir is so beautiful... And it's so heartwarming to see how tender your heart is and how much you enjoy this and how the spirit of God is touching you and me!!!
I really appreciate that you can appreciate all their hard work!! No is paid they all are volunteers!
The annual Christmas concert is one concert not to miss and it's completely free to attend! I went one year with Alfie Boe and it was the best concert I've ever attended...period!
That is one that I wish I had been to. It’s one of my favorite Christmas concerts too. I went to the one where they told the story of Handle’s Massiah and the one where Hugh Bonnivile told the story behind the writing of “It is Well with my Soul”.
No one does Christmas like the Tabernacle Choir and Orchestra. It’s just not Christmas without them!
My mother loved this, She was mormon, but never had the chance to really listen this live. Now she’s in heaven and is in the place you sing about. Hope Here soul is in peace. ❤
Hey Charlie! Count me as another subscriber after watching your two reactions to the Tabernacle Choir. It was so moving to me to see how it affected you - I had as many tears as you did! Like many others have commented, I have grown up seeing the Choir on a regular basis and tend to take them for granted. By the way, if you want to really be moved, come out to Utah and attend one of their Christmas concerts. They are spectacular! With all of the attention you have brought, I suspect someone in the Choir could arrange for you to attend (tickets are free but in very high demand). I am an organist and (coming up) a director of a 250-person interfaith choir and orchestra here in Utah. I love what you are doing! Music is truly one of the best parts of life and can move and inspire us like nothing else. Kurt
You have a heart and soul that brings joy to those who listen to your channel. You go beyond mere music appreciation and bring a heightened depth of awareness. Thank you.❤
What a lovely comment. Thank you so much
Love your videos! Thanks for sharing with us!!! ❤
I have loved watching your reactions to the choir. I would definitely love to see your reaction to their "Battle Hymn of the Republic" That is one of my faves.
Yes!
As someone that has stopped attending church, it never ceases to amaze me how this choir touches my heart even though I walk a different path. They are incredible.
Sorry you have hit a rough spot in your earthly life. May I add my testimony, unbidden as it is, that life is perfectly fair. Isaiah 65:17 tells us that this life will be little remembered or ever come to mind in heaven. So, since this world is a do over, nothing that anyone does TO US will affect us eternally. The bad, which is essential to teach us happiness, goes away, while what WE DO, affects us eternally. God can’t help you unless you ask Him to. Free Agency. So ask. He loves you. 😊
@@Bonbongirly I never said I hit a rough spot lol, my life has been excellent ever since I left. It's so apparent to me that sacrificing my own emotional energy and mental health in exchange for some fancy underwear was not what I needed to improve. I needed freedom and less obligation. The return on investments were horrid, I never felt that I benefited by attending and participating.
With that being said, I'm not against anyone attending and continuing to go if it does work for them. I just think it's odd that God created all of us to be completely unique, and then for some reason the benefits of church only benefit a person where it comes easy to them. Infinite ways to grow up≠one set of rules for success.
@@hi4444ification I’ve felt that too. I quit going for a few years when my kids were little, it was just too hard. I’ve never felt that the church was for Gods aggrandizement. I just love that the people there are really trying to be better. I like being around people if that quality. I especially love the music. I feel closer to God. As long as you are good to others and love others, God will accept you.😊
Your response is so beautiful because it’s so true. Come see them in person, better yet come to General conference! It’s the first Saturday and Sunday of every April and October. It’s here in Utah. Watching the tabernacle choir sing in their usual building is breathtaking! You would love to experience it ❤ Thank you for your respect of this magnificent choir.
I’ve never heard a choir as beautiful as the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It’s like God is directing them.
Yes! You Must hear "The Spirit of God Like a Fire is Burning" it will rock your world
Charlie, that’s not just the choir that is working on your heart. It’s the Holy Spirit. 💜
ABSOLUTELY!!
Mack Wilburg has a photographic memory and was originally a trumpet player. I had the privilege of singing with him. He takes his orchestra scores and adapts them into 4 hands on the piano. Exquisite thanks for sharing.
You said it! Mac Wilburg is a musical genius! Everything he arranges or writes is stunning.
When the SPIRIT OF GOD grabs you with this kind of music, It just keeps you in his arms while you absorbe the vibrations of love from GOD. Truly enjoy and feel the spirit.
To hear them live they actually sound like angels. And when the conference center if filled with people and everyone sings a hymn it will bring tears to your eyes.
I’m a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir worship and glorify God and His Son Jesus Christ through their Heavenly voices. 🎶🙏
Mack Wilberg is a legend. If you want to end up in a weeping puddle, check out the choir's version of "It is Well with My Soul" (arranged by Mack Wilberg, of course) - the way the music builds and swells is heart-rendingly heavenly. They just did a big concert in Atlanta with singers from local colleges that is available to stream on their channel. Really hope you can come out to hear them live some time!
I concur about “It is Well With My Soul”. If you search the Christmas Clip the choir did with Hugh Bonneville in telling the story of this song, you will never be the same.
This song was played by a piper for my father at his funeral (he was a British soldier in the Scots Guards regiment and loved hearing the military band and pipers play this). I can’t hear it without getting choked up. Not only because of the memory of my late father, but because of the spirit this brings to my soul.
A childhood friend grew up, became a medical doctor, but she donates her time to sing in this choir. Her stories of feeling inspiration just during practices and many performances are amazing. She sings from her heart... and seeks to share whatever inspiration she gets to experience, with anyone who's willing to listen.
I felt chills when the drums started
Can we get Charlie out to see the choir live? Would love to see this!
yes please!!! christmas concert!!!!
I sing in the choir and one of my favorites by the associate conductor Ryan Murphy is Lullaby. It is such a beautiful tribute to Sandy Hook elementary.
Almost 2 years ago to the day I was in the NICU at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City with my newborn son who just had surgery. I was turned in to listen to General Conference (which the Tabernacle Choir performs for biannually) and right as they began so sing to start off the conference, I got to just sit and hold my son for the very first time. And I could look out my window and see the Conference Center below where they were performing.
I grew up in the church, and had heard them perform my whole life, but nothing compares to the peace and relief that brought to me that day. Thank you for drawing attention to them and their wonderful music. ❤
Homeward Bound is another great Tabernacle Choir Song.
I love what you're doing exploring amazing music and talents and just being positive. ❤❤
#Charlie Thank you 🙏🏻 I feel like you. Un fuerte abrazo desde Monterrey, México 🇲🇽
The Choir has something unique. I think it is a living reverence for the holiness of the living God. Once when I was listening to them, I thought I heard a choir of heavenly angels join in with them from on high. I can't explain it, but it was there. Very moving.
God lives !!! Jesus is the Christ!!!., Thank you for your raw emotions!!!❤️
I live near Salt Lake and have seen them many times. In person is almost like an out of body experience. Unbelievable talent. Thanks for sharing this.
I don’t mean to say that I like to watch you cry, but your reactions to The Tabernacle Choir are so genuine and beautiful that it fills my heart with joy. I live in Utah, and if you manage to make it out this way, you need to visit so much more than just the tabernacle in Salt Lake! I have so many suggestions for you. Thank you for your amazing spirit in sharing your love of music. ❤️❤️❤️
I don't know if you know that they are a volunteer choir, everyone who are in this choir goes through a rigorous try out. Practice is once a week (required) and perform every Sunday morning. They share their gift of time and talent. Just so beautiful!
I can attest to all of this! I auditioned for the choir years ago. I didn't make it in, but I'm hoping to try again once my health improves.
Hear them sing, “Holy, Holy, Holy” and you will drop to your knees in humble prayer, feeling like you are in God’s presence.
The first time I heard them was on a "cassette", when I was around 15 years old, living in my home country in this tiny town call BUIN, in chile. I didn't know who they were or what they were singing! the cassette was old and didn't have any information on it... I really did not even know how we got it in the first place in my house!!, I did not understand what they were singing because by then I DID NOT speak English... but it was so powerful that every time I heard them it was this feeling like it was incredible!... many times brought tears not knowing why!!!.... One day I was listening to it and 2 Mormon missionaries came to my house, while I was listening to this cassette...I was blown away to know they knew about this choir!!! Long story short, they told me who they were and they explained to me what they were singing.... THE MESSIAH from HENDEL!!! they were singing scripture from the bible!!! .....8 years later, I was sitting in one of their rehearsals in Salt Lake City....a dream come true... and now, I have connections with the choir, my best friend's sister-in-law sings in the choir!!! ha, ha, ha....
Oh Charlie, your reaction made me just cry long tears! We as members, sometimes take for granted the blessing of hearing the Choir every six months, at General Conference, from Salt Lake, City. You bring our "first reaction" 'back'; as through the chores of the day, the hustle and bustle of the ups and downs with life, we just take for granted the the Lord's spirit is just a click away - to hear the Conference Talks by the General Authorities, and the heavenly Tabernacle Choir. We are told that angels have been heard, by the members of the Choir, to be singing along with them. Thank you.
Great review. Mack Wilberg’s arrangement of The First Noel is not to be missed. Honestly I don’t understand what he does to the music but by the middle of the piece your heart is torn in two and you are feeling the lyrics. It’s a treat. All the best with your channel, sharing more music-awesome.
+1 on the recommendation for The First Noel. Incredibly beautiful.
Mack Wilberg must have a direct line to heaven when he’s creating music. Such a special gift.
I totally Love the Passion of this Young Man as He doesn't just listen, but Feels the Spirit of the Word of God in the Music.
You have the power to connect. Please don't ever lose that. Signed: a fan for life
🥹 thank you so much ❤️
This is wonderful, Charlie. In the mid-to-late 1800s my 5th Great Grandfather, Harrison Burgess, and his father constructed and ran a saw mill at Pine Valley in Southwestern Utah, not too far from St. George. This and other operations were built in this high mountain valley because its steep canyons made the pine trees grow tall and straight, with fewer knots, as they reached for sunlight. Some of the timber they cut and milled was shipped by wagon over 300 miles north to Salt Lake City where it was delicately carved into the organ pipes seen now in the Tabernacle. The men and women who were sent as pioneer missionaries to the desert regions by Brigham Young carved out of rock and clay, in extreme poverty and with little more than hand tools, many beautiful cities for their progenitors and temples to their God. Those organ pipes stand as a testament to their dedication and sacrifices. I love to hear them every time I get a chance. If you ever get that chance, take it!
That's cool! Harrison is my 2nd Great Grandfather. They sure did amazing things back then that we continue to enjoy today.

Including Charlie❣
You should listen to “The Spirit Of God Like A Fire Is Burning” and “America The Beautiful” both sang by this choir, you will be way overwhelmed!
This is just a peek into what we will be privileged to be a part of for eternity. ❤
Charlie, listen to "Let us All Press On" by the Tabernacle Choir (October 2022), it'll blow your mind. SPot the choir member who can hardly sing from crying.
This is my favorite as well! Such a powerful sound!
I just love how their music moves you. We are very proud of this choir and we all look forward to their performances at our conferences. They say that a hymn is a prayer of the heart. Love your vids. ❤
This was when Alex Boye was with them. That's the guy at 4:19, who went on to have his own musical career in Utah, and even appeared on America's Got Talent.
Alex Boye has another song “Have I done any good” with Carmen Rasmusen Herbert, check this one out Charlie 😊
I had the privilege of singing this arrangement of Amazing Grace in a choir that performed at the Salt Lake Tabernacle (the home of the Tabernacle Choir). It was an incredible experience, but the Tenor 1 part on the third verse is brutal haha. We literally sang on-octave with the sopranos--full falsetto and just belting as well as we could.
I love Mack Wilbert! The man has a gift! It makes me so happy you are reviewing Tab Choir videos. I tear up every time I listen to Come Thou Fount. Thanks for doing that one. Great channel. You MUST see the Tab Choir in person!. Can’t wait til you do that vid!
I actually like when you stop and give your perspective.
You and I appreciate the same quality of all the voices coming together as perfect and mortals can be. How every sylible are sung perfectly. And brother, the thing that's stirring your soul the last time and now this time is the Spirit of the Holy Ghost witnessing to you that Jesus is the Christ as they sing his praises. The Spirit always testifies of truth. Love you back brother.
It's so powerful, not only because of the harmony and tone, but when one sings, prays or speaks of God, in faith, the Holy Spirit testifies of His divinity and that is by feelings of love and joy. It multiplies the beauty.
❤️❤️❤️
I feel like everything Mack Wilberg puts his hand to is excellence 💕
There voices transcend to a whole other realm! ❤
A year ago, I had the opportunity to participate in a guest young adult choir in a session of General Conference for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, the same conference the Tabernacle Choir normally performs in several times every 6 months. I'm sure we weren't near as great as these guys are musically (most all of us were volunteers who were selected from a form we filled out haha), but it was identical in number, and never EVER before had I ever felt such a sense of power, unity and love as we rehearsed and sang together.
I learned just how much good can be done when we learn to love each other, work together, and set our sights on something bigger than ourselves. It was an ennobling experience. I would recommend that everyone seek a similar opportunity if they can.
Thank you for sharing your "secrets for joy, growth and success" experience. ❤
My favorite song the do is O Holy Night. In fact I will probably listen to it right now as I’m bench pressing. Here I go! You might think I’m joking…I’m not.
They are testifying of Jesus Christ through their Heavenly voices. Each one has been called and set apart for their mission as His witness through the Choir🎶🙏

Having the Tabernacle Choir as a staple in my household has really made me take them for granted!
Every once in a while I'll stumble upon someone like yourself that discovers them for the first time and I remember just how amazing the choir has been since the 1840's.
For anyone curious, the choir has a weekly show called "Music and the Spoken Word" that has been on TV for 70 someodd years, and on radio before then.
A quote from the Wikipedia page about the longest running tv broadcasts:
"Longest-running non-news television program, the longest-running variety show, the longest-running religious television program, and the longest-running entertainment program in American television history."
Thank you for your reaction. I have suffered from dry eyes for close to twenty years and now have problems with tapping into the deeper emotions. Seeing someone else show there's has helped me reach mine. Thank you.
There is no other choir like this. Period.
