    your videos and wisdom have helped me in a real way, in making 'that change' in my whole life...i swear there has been a tangible change in my life since i started listening to my intuition and re-evaluating my approach to how i feel as a 'witch'. i have started to own it again, allow myself again, so thank you. i'm getting that feeling of newness, of discovery and of openness again, the way i felt when i was in my early twenties and open to life...things in life made me feel muddied and clogged, cluttered, stagnant...'other' than myself for years, but now i am exploring my core spirituality. i feel good for the first time in years.

    I think you did it the right way. Academic study is the masculine aspect, and intuituve sensing is the feminine aspect. The masculine and feminine principles come together for the spark of divine creation. As you know, Tarot tends to overwelmingly draw females as readers, and as customers. And as such, there is a tendency to shun the masculine and...well...wallow in the feminine aspect. But when EVERYTHING is intuition, then nothing is grounded in tradition, culture and history. The seeds of our destiny are nurtured by the roots of our past. Everything in the occult is about balance, harmony and cycles. We should ballance the earth and water (feminine) with fire and air (masculine) to retain ballace and proportion. (Tao)

    I'm like you, I need to know how it all works from the book before I'll let my intuition run riot. I am at the beginning of my journey still and analysing readings the same way you did, drawing the cards and then using the book definition with a bit of my own intuition mixed in. We laugh in the face of writing five pages...[how does that happen, before I know it, there's an essay in front of me lol]...xx Thank you for sharing. I like the idea of focusing totally on one card at a time and spending time with its images, symbolism and energy. xx

    I just want to say thank you for all your time energy and dedication that you put in your videos I'm a newbie to tarot and Wicca in my year and a day (day 63 ;) I just started the fools journey I'm taking 1 card a day studying it and writing my first impression from just looking at the card then I read the book and compare and finally meditate with the card and write a final reflection/conclusion your videos have been so helpful too thanks again!!

    So nice of you to share, I thought I sucked because I had to go off and study the reading on my own and give a really in-depth analysis... I didn't even realize that was an option :)

    I've picked up the cards then I put them down then up then down. Mostly out of confusion. Thank you for setting my path strait. I feel relieved and am going to put your teachings into practice.

    I would hand-write readings, too, when I was practicing. And then I started reading for the ATA free sites, And I had to write those, too. It took me a long time to get used to talking through a reading to someone, because I was so used to writing them. (I still feel more confident if I write them out first.)

    Your description of how you started doing readings for your mom and recognising that starting by following the rule book before jumping in the deep end…thank you, thank you. I’ve been toying with Tarot for a number of years now, most teachers talk about diving right in through your intuition…something that doesn’t resonate with me because like you I function best by understanding the rules first. Hearing your story has given me permission to follow my own intuition that I’ve been ignoring because al the experts have been telling me different. Wow!

    i love the idea of pathworking with each card. I am going to do this for sure. I have read all the books but this sounds so much more personal and spiritual!

    My friend Judy recommended I check you out. Now I know why she's so crazy about you! I'm looking forward to exploring more of your videos. I love your suggestions. Currently, I use only intuition with the one tarot deck that works for me, but I am interested in expanding my knowledge. My memory is not so great and I have trouble focusing so I appreciate your technique. And I must add, I LOVE that you number your videos. You have no idea how happy that makes me! lol Virtual hugs!

    I feel inspired to share with you how Universe introduced tarot to me. I am currently undergoing an intense spiritual awakening for about 1 year and a 1/2 or so. I have felt an urge to open up to spirituality to fullest of my ability. I have discovered I am a Psychic Empath/Medium. About 6 months ago I was given a free tarot card deck from Collette Baron-Reid, the deck is named The Good Tarot. Collette is a well known Medium. I was very surprised I was choosen to receive the deck. I feel that was Universe's way of introducing me to tarot. I have been just kinda learning and giving myself readings. I can feel I have build a relationship with my deck, so kinda looking into which deck will be next for me. I started to follow you on Utube and I have been watching your tarot trainings. The trainings are quite helpfull to me. Thank you for sharing your tarot knowledge 😊

    Thank you so much for doing this video. It was really encouraging to hear your process. Now I have more ideas on how to further develop tarot skills. Tarot came to me in a way that seemed like destiny as well. I would love to hear more about pathworking at some point. I really enjoy your insights, illumination, and ways of understanding spiritual/intellectual pursuits.

    Thank you for this video. I am just trying to learn reading and hopefully becoming a reader. I have been trying to find my way of reading, I like you when you were a young reader I find writing is best for me however, I find that when I do my own readings I find I personalize the reading by using (I, me) in place of the (he, she). I am wondering if this will be alright to do when I get to the stage of reading for others. Another issue is I find that when I speak with people in person I am able to speak with them intuitively but I find I am not able to read in that way or perhaps I just don't know how or is there a technique to reading intuitively. I love what you are offering me in your class and videos. I want to give you the Biggest Hug Ever.

    Do you have a website where I could read your tarot card meanings? I know you have videos on here but I think it would help me better if I see it all in writing. I’m hoping you have. 🤞🏻

    Kelly Ann, which books do you recommend for beginners?

    • @kelly-annmaddox
      @kelly-annmaddox  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try Tarot 101 by Kim Huggens for the overview of things to know, and Holistic Tarot by Benebell Wen for the in-depth 'bible' of all that you need to know. For an in-depth read to help you master the Major Arcana specifically, Jung and the Tarot is awesome. The Taschen book of Tarot is wondrous too, if you want to treat yourself to a big, hardback coffee table book with wondrous full page colour illustrations of cards from all kinds of decks.

    Hi Kelly, sorry there is a word I didn't understand. I am Italian so sometimes I miss words.. it's around minute 13.. you say something like puff working? or a similar sound.. sorry for the silly question..

    if someone starts crying and walks away during a reading is it a horrible sign

    • @kelly-annmaddox
      @kelly-annmaddox  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Emily Newton Not necessarily. It can just mean that the reading touched on a theme which is still raw for the person - something that they might still be going through. x

      +Kelly-Ann Maddox I just wanted to believe that what the cards have to say at the time is what someone is suppose to hear. thankyou
