If you're a narrative filmmaker or a full time DP then investing in a high end cine camera makes sense. You'll get more work if you have a camera people want to shoot on. For almost everything else though? Having multiple cameras is absolutely the way to go. Almost any camera released in the last 10 years will give you a "good enough" image. You can put together a kick ass little multicam kit for very little money. Even if you don't think you'll need another camera it's always better to have options in the edit.
@@LowellProductions So I ended up getting a second Lumix S5 because the used prices right now are a steal. So I am currently using two Lumix S5 bodies and a GH5. They mix together very easily, and having the ability to switch to a smaller camera and lens combination is a nice choice to have. I think for that reason I'll keep a M43 camera in my kit since I've kept the 12-35 and 35-100 zoom lenses, as well as a couple of the tiny primes. In a year or two I might switch the GH5 out for a GH6, but I'm not in a rush. The GH5 is still a great camera for 2023, especially as part of a multicam setup.
Definitely agree, depending on the things you’re filming, multiple cameras often comes in handy. Also want to add, buying a an expensive camera might not always be the smartest choice because cameras have a life span, lenses most often don’t. Get the the best cameras you can afford but investing in lenses is where it’s at for me. Great video as always bro
Thank you for the video. Doing client work (photo & video) and also for us vlogging, I am thinking about this combo: GH6 + Leica 100-400 S5 II + 24-70mm F2.8 + 50mm F1.4 + Sigma 20mm F1.4 Weight = around 5 Kilogram Or S5 II + 24-70mm F2.8 + 50mm F1.4 + Sigma 20mm F1.4S5 II + Sigma 60-600mm Weight = around 6.450 Kilogram The M43 100-400 or FF 60-600 would me mainly for wildlife. Size and weight are PRO GH6 + S5 II Combo So I am asking you (and myself ^^) if the better low light of the S5II is worth the size, weight and also money. And what about IBIS? Is it better / more stable when GH6 + 100-400 are used or when S5 II with Sigma 60-600mm are in use? S5 II and Sigma comes also with better AF I think, right? A really hard decision!
Try shooting a Wedding with 2 Cameras, then shoot with 4 - never going backwards 😂 The peace of mind is worth it alone. I went through this phase also. 🤔Sell 2 Cameras to get one $4500 Camera to, “wait… I can get 3 Bodies for about the same price”. We are in the best time in this history Trey, where $1000 to $2000 gets you a Camera that no longer limits you. To my shooters… Man… shake off the dazing of Cameras and get shooting. 🎥
@@LowellProductions Right there with you Trey. I still have to get bold like you and get into these Corporate Events. You running Hyperlapses, Sliders and no telling what else 😂 I’m literally flying around Weddings making 4 Cams look like 10 🎥

Love it !!
Looking at trading in my ZVE10 for a pair of gh5's ... They're so cheap now and so are c-mount CCTV lenses!
Where are you located? Do you do freelance work?
I actually own all three of these camera. Great perscpectives
Heck ya! I love hearing that. Cheers too Lumix.

One man band rulez =P
The camera isn’t that expensive, its all package and gear and computer/hard drive you need to re-think with Red
Truth! some of the accessories are crazy expensive. I am to much of a cheap ass currently to go all in on a RED. Cheers Sir
