Great cover - thanx for posting! When I heard the original by James, I'd no idea the Smiths had done a cover of it, and the first thing I thought of was "that sounds like the Smiths!" About a week later, what did I find out?! Then it all made sense... :)
Crap compared to the original James, its actually verry poor, and Morrissey Slags James off in one of his songs because they are successful, a song called We hate it when our friends become successful, very very sad of Morrissey, especially as James supported him with the Smiths and solo, Like Morrissey's music solo and Smiths but not as much as James, I don't like Morrissey's attitude especially in interviews, he makes it hard to be interviewed , so Love his music hate the person.
i still respect morrissey over the likes of michael stipe, or robert smith. not that i have anything against either of them. bono is in a league of his own.
i can't believe i'm only seeing this now and it's been up for almost 13 years. I absolutely love this cover. It makes me feel so nostalgic.

“we hate it….” wasn’t serious. James even covered it live.
