I'm pretty sure the reason we thought the Guldo was Galea was because the woman on the ID literally looked like Galea, at least from what we could make out from the low quality textures.
it’s just like in the Xenogears’ intro where people think the Captain’s daughter looks like Elly but it’s just a coincidence lol.
I still don't get it - the similarity is so painfully obviously intentional, but there is no lore reason they should have any connection whatsoever. Unless it was some kind of early Nephilim kind of plot? Like the Captain's daughter was put in the Zohar for some reason and then was made into Elly? But, like, why though?
Well the idea of why Galea was the Guldo, it was that way because..... how do we KNOW all of Galea went to the other world to become Meyneth? Why couldn't half of Galea have been Meyneth, like how half of Klaus became Zanza? Do we have any evidence that Galea is 100% Meyneth?

It is important to clarify that the experiment did not transform individuals into Guldos instead, the individuals themselves underwent a transformation into Guldos of their own choice because of their need to live as the aftermath of the experiment, brought a unhabitable environment.
I think the reason the Galea/Infernal Guldo theory started was mainly due to them reusing the ID card we later see Galea wearing instead of making another one with a generic NPC's face on it.
There were also a couple of other small points, like how Meyneth and the Infernal Guldo both died at around the 80% mark of their respective games stories. I've also seen someone bring up how Zanza exclaims he never expected to defeat Meyneth so easily, and implying that the reason he was able to do so is because Rex and Co defeated her real body in Morytha.
Then there is the fact that Meyneth has a much more mechanical appearance then Zanza. Klaus tells us that core crystals were originally conceived as a replacement to human brain cells in an attempt to achieve immortality, and that the guldo were what resulted from that process. So if Meyneth was the Infernal Guldo, then she would have had one of these core crystal implants too, perhaps explaining her artificial appearance as Meyneth.
Overall, I wouldn't say it's the dumbest theory the fanbase has come up with. That honour still goes to the 'Dirk is Mythra's child' one. Even if it turns out to be true, (please don't be) it would still be dumb since it's based soley on Dirk having bonde hair and gold eyes.
Given these points, I can see why some people would believe it but it still gets completely destroyed by the fact that Galea physically isn't there anymore to even become a Guldo
I don't know about you, but to me his eyes seem more red than gold but that's just my opinion though.
@rghennig1 Just checked, and you're right, which only makes the theory that little bit dumber.
A newer fantheory is that since she is called Galatea in the original japanese and that already mythologically connects to artificial life, people think she may have never actually been a human at all, which would explain why she became a machine god and created machine people in her own image. This is backed up by how something like that is not actually that unthinkable in the series. Several blades look entirely human and the Queen-characters in 3 would be fully convincing recreations too if not for not having proper faces.(Not to mention Xenoblade X.)
The only thing really mildly blocking that was this other theory because it would require her to not be an android, but that's now off the table, so lol.
I don't see how Dirk Mythrakid is a dumb theory. Dirk being Mythra's son actually has more to it than just blond hair. Somebody compiled the evidence into one document:

This convinced me that Dirk is Mythra's son, because there's no way the developers dropped THAT many hints only for it to mean nothing. I've seen many theories which are actually dumb, such as Noah being a reincarnate of Malos or him being Shulk's son lol.
I already did the ultimate Xenosaga 2 challenge; paid off Captain Matthew’s debt without losing my sanity in the process💀

The ID card Rex picked up is the same in game model as Galea's ID card, was the justification that I heard. Doesn't mean anything, though, since all video games are rife with asset reuse.
the idea is that you were to take it as a breadcrumb type thing that is intentionally vague. the fact that you cannot say for certain if it was asset recycling or an intentional hint makes it more mysterious, and xenoblade has been shown to drop hints that way, such as in DE intentionally choosing to replace alvis's key and yet intentionally keeping the orbital ring contradictory to 2. the fact that one thing was specifically changed to fit 2 and another was not within the same product naturally makes you wonder about it.
By promising a time to have it done by, you make it an obligation and sap the joy out of it

I still wonder how her ID ended up down there. Guess she left it at home in the Rhadamanthus City as it wasn’t necessary for the stay up above and the Infernal Guldo gulped that.

Just look at Glimmer and Mio they both look like so much like their mothers that you can tell with a glance, while with Dirk he looks nothing like eithwr Mythra or Rex

Yeah, one of Rex's kids being a fliping psychopaths is just to juicy of a plot point to have not been explored. That fact it wasn't goes against Dirk being Mythra's kid. Alexandria makes more sense even though the evidence is shaky.
@@PJDAltamirus0425 we talking about the same franchise? xeno is practically known for letting things like this lie for very long before doing something with it. like, imagine if xenoblade 1 did not take off enough to garner sequels(which is probably what they assumed would happen during its production). the entire alvis key thing would have been a lead that went nowhere and stayed unexplored forever.
Some advice. That intro channel update I think should be said towards the end in the future.
People brand new to the channel won't know what you're talking about and it may put them off from sticking around.
If you feel it is important enough to say at the start, you should take steps to make it separate from the video topic. Perhaps change the background visuals or just add a timestamp for when the main topjc is brought up

Make that dirk video. Literally the main reason I’ve heard is “he’s blond like the kid is!” Which mean’s literally nothing to me when shulks in the party.
I never understood that theory myself. I found it makes more sense for mythras kid to just be some solider that will actually meet in xbc4
I also personally think it would be cool to see that kids hair grow darker into a brown like Rex. Guys got three kids, let one of them look like the father lol
I've struggled with demotivation a lot, and something I've come to realize is that you can't just sit around and wait until you feel motivated to work on something. Those days are rare, and they'll only get rarer as your project gets less new and exciting. If I had to give specific advice, I would tell you to consider adopting a schedule. I hate schedules with a burning passion, but I have to admit that they have done wonders for my overall productivity. Set a reminder to force yourself to work on a project for around half an hour every other morning (or whatever interval works for you). It'll suck for around three weeks or so, but eventually, it will turn into a habit, and you find that you won't get that sense of demotivation when thinking about working on a project as often.

But one of them was that Xenoblade 1 and 2 worlds were the same but in the opposite direction, because I already knew they were connected but no how they were. (And I already knew some things about Future Redeemed)

edit: nothing has been confirmed/deconfirmed regarding Dirk. Concept art isn’t even canon, apart from that one time they took Nia’s beta design and reused it for Na’el. And since Takahashi hasn’t done anything about it, the Dirk train hasn’t stopped yet.
