@MaxLui-mz9io Viktor has been number 1 for a while, and there is noone close at the moment. Even if he wins an Olympic medal in 2024, I believe he is not done yet. That us why I say Legend in the making, because he still has plenty more years to collect trophies.

Victor is a modern day legend but Dan was at his decline here. No one could stand the Super Dan at his peak.

He didn't wanted the bronze as bad as gold when he was fighting it over LCW. You can feel it. And Here Victor Axelson was giving his best. Miss them both LCW and LD.
I honestly don't feel it. Both performed awesome and had troubles with calls and nerves. They gave their everything, even when they made mistakes. LD maybe gave a few points easy in the end of the 2nd, but even then he needed the break, especially mentally. 3rd was LD giving his everything again.

Lin Dan has won too many matches - on his way out after a decade at the top, Victor axelson has a gr8 heiht advantage. This broze medal must mean the world to him - he won against Lin Dan ( though not in his prime but still)
obviously this match did not matter much to Lin Dan, by far not to that extent to what it mattered to Viktor.
Almost feeling with LD in the final stage of third set, where he clearly was given unjustice at 17-17.
Victor looks like a completely different player after watching him against Ginting the other day at Worlds. He is on a tear right now!

@Divine Blood yes. Viktor has won the most number of tournaments in 2021. He would've won the European tournament too had he not been disqualified after the semifinals due to corona.
