I love this track. the 1:53 part in particular just feels glorious yet tragic, like it tries to reach out and hit a higher note but just doesn't make it and fails (in a beautiful way, mind you) great arrangement!
That's really cool of you to notice/appreciate that! It's no accident - a vocal detail I've been trying to work on after listening to the bloodborne soundtrack for years. There's often a singer or two shouting at the peak of their range that stands out just enough to add to the choir's overall intensity while blending in harmoniously with the group. to me it's like a dynamic overdrive effect on a guitar pushing it's speaker cabinet to it's limit. I also like to detune some individual singers by quite a bit to create a momentary dissonance before retuning with the rest of the choir.

Absolutely fantastic! Igudesman really does help lend some of that "raw" power in certain parts. The amount of layering going in is also fantastic with this mix. I love it!

I just fought these guys a couple of days ago, HOLY F%#@, what a fight! Had to finish Orbek's questline so I can summon him for this! I BEAT DS3 yesterday! Now, I'm just mopping up the other bosses, like Frieda, Midir, etc.! I might finish the Ashes of Ariendel DLC, then do The Ringed City. When I fought the Soul of Cinder, a BADASS Final Boss! The Four Lords of Cinder, combined into ONE, with Gwyn's Theme in it too! DS3 is SO f-ing cool!
