It's not that their relationship is causing agony, it's their relationship that's keeping them sane through all their shared agony, when Lothric had to bear the burden of his curse, Lorian was there to shoulder it with him. Despite being denied the throne all his life, defeating the prince of demons, and still being told that his crippled brother would be the one to succeed the throne, he never showed any contempt or anger towards his brother, Lorian loves Lothric with all his heart, and if he can't be the crown prince, he'll be by his brother's side to the bitter bitter end, supporting him, (literally sometimes) and even became mute and crippled himself by taking on Lothric's curse. And when Lothric had enough of his so called destiny, and abandoned his duties, Lorian was right there with him, turning his back on the world just as swiftly as his brother had, all they have left is eachother
you got it wrong, lorian is the heir to the throne, lothirc's is desitned form birth to be a lord of cinder. That said the thorne in the shrine does sais something like holy king lothric or holy king of lothric
Lorian is legit the best big brother anyone can have. There he stood, champion of Lothric, the mightiest of all knights whose blade struck down the unbeatable demon prince with such force and power that his blade became etched with the demon’s flames for all eternity. His younger brother the sickly Lothric, inheritor of the flame, in an act of blasphemy rejected the flame, the cycle of Fire and the extension of the time of the gods realizing their time has ended. To spare him the full brunt of the curse of this treachery, Lorian decided to share the punishment with him. The once tall and commanding knight, whose footfalls made the world around him shake was now reduced to a mute cripple.
"This spot marks our grave, but you may rest here too... IF YOU LIKE." God I don't know how many times I heard this from the smaller Prince as they slash me for the X time haha.
4:33 No way you just said that, Lorian and Lothric intertwined their souls, both with unyeilding loyalty, the fact that you can tell just from music is insane. And it also makes me realise how amazing the purpose behind composing is.
The story behind the princes is this: Lorian was a great champion that was worthy of being the next lord of cinder, yet Lothric who was frail and weak was chosen for that mantle. Also Lothric was educated about the nature of the first flame by a private scholar and chose to not become a Lord. Lorian loved his brother and embraced his curse. They joined their souls into one, which made Lorian mute and unable to walk. That sheer brotherly love is what the second phase of the music represents when they defend their throne together. Edit: you only fight lorian in the first half, that explains the "apart"ness of the music in the first half, his brother hasnt joined him in battle yet
Isn’t it implied that Pontiff Sulyvahn may have been the scholar that advises against the linking of the flame? Im not sure where I came across that, but I like the idea that Sulyvahn was the mastermind behind everything falling apart in Dark Souls 3. He’s my favorite character in the Dark Souls series.
Definitely one of my favourite OSTs in Dark Souls 3. While first phase where we fight Lorian feels like honorable battle between amazing warriors, the second phase when Lothric joins the fight makes you feel like you're some sort of villain in this story. Both Lothric and Lorian can't walk, they both support each other, Lothric on his brother's back, they just both want to survive. Seeing Lothric trying to revive Lorian after defeating him is a pretty sad view.
The brothers are evil though, the ashen one isn’t a villain (depends on the ending you are going for), ashen one is more of a asshole, so is the chosen undead, so is the bearer of the curse, etc

I admire how Marco describes the first phase as 'anguish, anger, pain and suffering' because all those words *perfectly summarise* Lorian. He is in angish, pain and suffering because he is a crippled knight who is mute and fights us on his knees. At the same time he is angry because there are those who wish to bring harm to his weak brother and is willing to do anything to protect his kin.
"Mark my words Ashen One, you remain among the accursed" this coupled with that super sad ending to their boss music has me feeling emotions i cant figure out. Dark souls is the only game that makes you feel like an asshole for winning a boss fight.
Oh man. Even through a few playthroughs of this game I never really realised how amazing this song is. Probably distracted by the fight lol but then one day I had a friend say its one of his favs from DS3. So I decided to go listen to it by itself and holly crap I fell in love with it. After that the many times I played through the game again I enjoyed this fight 10x more. At the peak of Lothric castle you enter the royal room of the twin princes. One of the last bosses in the game. Just such an awesome setting, intense fight and of course a fricking amazing theme.
@Yilue i heard this theme way before i fought the boss itself. I fell in love with this music and the boss too. I'm not a skilled player, DS3 was my first Souls game and i had a really hard tike with it and some of the bosses. At the point where i finaly reached the castle i already readed Lorian and Lothric story and heard the theme tousand times. But entering the room by myself.. after 50-60 hours of suffering and i saw the boss with my eyes.. i had tears in my eyes while i fought with them
These two princes. Seperated yet united, Decayed yet unbroken. Their journey had already ended long ago. the only thing they have left to do is to keep you from completing yours. And so the two princes stand up tall, rising from their eternal grave, to accomplish one final, singular goal. And you can hear all of that in this track. the suffering they endured, and the tragedy of their situation, but also the will to keep going despite everything. beautiful. always look forward to your FromSoft reactions the most.
This and Gehrman' OSTs made me pay more attention to Soulsborne music. Also, it's interesting how we all know which part of this OST is referred to when somebody says "that part". It just shows how great it is.
It's sad knowing that they are the only ash lords who are conscious and who mean it when they tell you to rest with them and stop because fanning the flame will get you nowhere.
One thing you didn't notice is that this calm, beautiful melody could represent Lothric (the small one) while this strong, violent music represent Lorian. One indication is that Lorians theme dies, but Lothrics theme doesn't just keep on... It is beautiful, but at one point, when it should go silent in that violin part... It refuses. It rekindles the other melody, not just playing at the same time, but really just playing along as if in this fight, the second phase of the twin princes, you don't fight Lothric and Lorian anymore. You fight the Twin Princes Of Lothric. (Btw, Lothric is only on Lorians back in the 2.phase)
@@thefrogmagician9866 Are you nuts? Yes DS3 was more consistent, but Maliketh, Radahn, Fortissax and the Regal Ancestor Spirit are as good as any music From Software has made.
@@TheStraightestWhitest No he is right except maybe for final boss most of those tracks are good but not as amazing as DkS 3 and Bloodborne. Even Cleric Beast/Amelia have a way better song than any of Elden Ring boss.
@@dylanlerian5960 The Final Boss isn't even that good of a track. It's dead simple and one of my least favorite ones in Elden Ring. The Elden Beast part is special, specifically the part past one minute where the crescendo rises, but the rest is meh. Radahn, Maliketh, Fortissax and the Regal Ancestor Spirit are objectively more complex and of higher quality than 99% of Bloodborne's and DS3's music. Many composers and opera singers/conductors have already stated this. There's countless reaction videos of it. I highly recommend Marco Meatball's review of Fortissax for a good example. In fact, it's probably why you like them less. The simpler music is, the more easy it is for a casual mind to understand it. The exact reason I like Maliketh's or Radahn's themes so much is the same reason most prefer something simpler. There's too many layers. Their brains can't handle it. It's why proper classical music can't even be written by people with an IQ under 130. ''Data from the US General Social Survey from 1993 shows a strong correlation between classical music preference and intelligence. Individuals who liked classical music the most had a significantly higher IQ than those who did not like classical music.'' The tracks you're listing are extremely easy, formulaic, and repetitive. Easy for a simple mind to jam to. Maliketh or Fortissax however are extremely complex, using up to 16 (Maliketh) to 18 (Fortissax) different instruments simultaneously alongside differing notes among some of these instruments to create a sort of tension, like the music is fighting itself. Fortissax does this in the mid stages of the first phase. Maliketh does it right in the transition to its second phase with probably the most beautifully haunting use of violins and vocals I've ever heard to create an enormous amount of tension. But you have to appreciate music to be able to understand them. Otherwise it just becomes ''too much'', which is something I've seen countless people claim about many Elden Ring songs. That they just sounded like bombastic noise. That's a sign that their brain didn't have the capacity to follow everything going on. That is no slant on the people who couldn't enjoy it. Not every type of music is for everyone. But do *not* make the mistake of thinking that's because they're of lower quality. It's actually because they're of higher quality. Avengers Endgame will always be a million times more popular than Schindler's List. Why? Because everyone has the brainpower to understand and enjoy Endgame, whereas not everyone has the brainpower to understand and enjoy Schindler's List. Does that mean Endgame is of higher quality? Nope. The opposite.
@@TheStraightestWhitest Being more complex doesn’t necessarily means it’s better. And saying that people who prefer DkS 3 and Bloodborne music are simple mind is pretty much stupid and untrue. It’s a game and have nothing to do with how much IQ someone has or how simpler a track is. Not to mention Bloodborne has an orchestra too. And if I like Bloodborne and DkS 3 ones better it’s because of its style and the emotions they share that’s all. Eitherway the vast majority find the DkS 3 and Bloodborne musics better and more fitting to their respecting games, not many people prefer Elden Ring ones.
The vocals in the 2nd phase really speak to me in this one. It, just, there's just so much *pain* and *agony*, more than any other track. It really screams to me _"I can't take this anymore!"_ . And the way it starts and stops and seems to go slower and slower, like the princes are exhausting every single ounce of their breath and strength to plead out of this horrible fate to which they've been doomed, it chills my bones, really
A fun fact about this song is that it's a variation on the unused theme for Lothric Castle. Originally the game was going to have tracks playing as you explored a few areas, but that was ultimately scrapped, so you lose some of the thematic ties between songs, such as the fact that Lothric Castle also incorporates bits of the leitmotif used in the first phase of Soul of Cinder. I actually recommend taking a listen to the unused tracks from the game, namely the aforementioned Lothric Castle track, and the Old King of the Eclipse (which is a more intense arrangement of the title screen theme that also incorporates the Soul of Cinder leitmotif).
Your reaction to the second phase is exactly what what we all went through We were sooo amazed ! Make you question yourself how the heck DS3 lost to Overmatch game of the year music !???
Aside from being one of the best themes in the game, these are also the only bosses in the Dark Souls trilogy that shoot holy light against you, while everyone else uses worldly elemental powers like fire, lightning and magic. Twin Princes felt very Elden Ring-esq and many compare them to Radahn and Miquella. Also your reaction when the opera hit was exactly mine this fight was bloody astonishing!
I like how Fromsoftware's songs are never about the fights themselves, but about the bosses' tragedy. The first movements sound really obsessive and maddening, much like the princes father. The second movement, when the choirs kick in, sound commemorative, as if expectations have been met. Then it changes to despair and frustration for prince Lothric is a cripple and unfit to rule. Then to calamity: Lothrics learns how to "break" the cycle and free himself from his obligations, which brings the world to ruin
Top tier music. I'd put down my white sign for hours and help other players around the world just to listen to the music. The second fase just speaks to my soul. 10/10.
YES MY FAVORITE DS3 TRACK, THE VIOLIN AND CHOIR GO SO HARD! Okay, that's a lie, it's a three way tie between this, Darkeater Midir, and Epilogue... If I'm allowed to cheat, a fan remix that blends Yhorm the Giant and Epilogue is heads and tails above the rest, though. Alex Roe is a legend in the community, and has even cooperated with the composer of DS3 to make an album! This song is so awesome because it reeks of the anguish that the two princes went through, while focusing on the defiance that they have chosen to take against the cycle. Lorian, the hero of the age, crippled to give his brother Lothric some semblance of health in a sort of ritual that bound the two together, and Lothric, a pile of bones and rags, having chosen to not give his life to the flames no matter how pathetic his resistance might be. The two princes decided they would rather throw a coup and survive till the end of fire than sacrifice themselves to a dying cycle that has done them nothing but harm. To me, these two were the final boss of DS3; Soul of Cinder was simply fanservice to give the player time to have the story sink in, and the DLC a sort of DS3.5 that can't be entirely considered the same game as it focuses on a different story and theme. Day 2 of begging Marco to listen to a PSO2 boss theme (personal preference is the story version of Sodam, but there's a lot of good options)! I would have kept it every day, but there was a weird issue yesterday where the comment section wouldn't load on the livestream vod... oof. Streak ruined before it could even start.
I love your take of what their ost means to the twin princes even if it’s not 100% accurate it’s amazing to me how much you take from the music and put it out in words
the most underrated track of all ds3 , the hate for the gank fight definitely clouded how good the ost is. pretty sad that there are very less people who acknowledge that.
i like how in every soul borne games the themes of twisted and evil mix so well with beautiful and elegant righteous and good sounds makes masterful ost .
their relationship was very loving apparently. the frail prince was born and bred to immolate himself in sacrifice to extend the age of fire. their father (king oceiros, another boss in the game) did some very forbidden stuff with dragon blood to make sure his heir was a mighty lord worthy of extending the age of fire, but it backfired, resulting in a sick child. so the other brother somehow shared the curse with him and it left him mute and crippled, which is why he fights you on his knees. they decided to not link the fire at all and let the world die out, which is why you came for their heads in the game.
i beleave they both were cursed before hand but Laurian was crippled in his fight with the deamon prince he managed to defeate it but not without getting crippled.
@@drummerboi357 No he beat the demon prince without injury but he said instead of his brother having all of the curse that he shared the curse with Lothric too so therefore his part of the curse was him to never stand to his feet again and never be able to speak whereas Lothric is sort of crippled and frail
Yes! My favorite boss of the basegame (DLC included it would be Gael). Something a bout a guy who can't walk but makes up for it with being able to teleport around is pretty awesome (maybe his brother does teleport him, never thought of that before). And yes, first you only fight Lorian and in phase 2 Lothric climbs onto his back and supports him with magic spells. Nice video as always ^^
It's really incredible that I can remember those strings coming in at 1:15 because I don't think I sat down and just listened to this track before on my own. Usually I forget how the songs go but this reminded me that it was one of my favorite tracks in the game.
- "This spot marks our grave. But you may rest here too. If you like". - "Mark my words ashen one! You remain ... Among the accursed!!!" I love this Boss. DS3 was my first souls game i played. It holds a very special place in my heart
To me, this song is about Lothric's (the kingdom) final stand. The fire is dwindling, and their time is coming to an end, but the princes refuse to go down quietly. So their flame reignites and they thrash against destiny with such desperate determination that Lothric himself, deformed and immobile, throws himself into the fray. This has been my favourite track in any of the souls games from the first time I heard it.
I love your reaction! Honestly I wish when people react to music, they did more motions. It’s so entertaining seeing you feel the music and play along as if you had a violin of your own. Because I honestly do the same!
Yessssssss this track is among one of my favorites for the series! phase 2 just adds such a beautiful touch to the whole fight as you can feel the weight of things get way more serious. Great song selection for a listen as always!
As much trouble as it caused, it's easy to understand why they would refuse to continue the kingdom's cycle of sacrifice for a cause they don't believe in. Their fused greatsword is my favorite weapon in the series.
dude i was just thinking yesterday "it would be nice if he reacts to the twin princes" and it's here. Thank you for you're review and again thank you for bringing so many amazing and enjoyable content to us.
I always loved hearing the violin kick in at around 1:01 for some reason. I think of it as representing either one of the brothers. Maybe trying to reassure or give strength to the other. Edit: I just realized it might not be a violin.
That violin in the first half is just beautiful it's the one part of the song that I always remember very clearly above the rest. It just seems to perfectly encapsulate this feeling of tragedy and quiet desperation, tainted by acceptance/resignation in the midst of so much struggle and strife. It really does perfectly suit Lothric's character
I never played DS3 let alone the other DS games, don't have the platform but seeing how they fight where it first begin with the oldest fighting one on one, but then he died and then his brother joined the fight, merging onto his back and start to casts off spell and teleportation, each time the oldest died, the youngest brings him back to life and was vulnerable in that point. It's good, interesting but also tragic, because it made you seemed like a villain in a certain POV. They're the boss, but they're there for a reason and that is to keep you from progressing through. As you fight them, there's this air of desperation seen on how the oldest fought like he's dead tired yet precise, when the youngest joins and start pouring spells, teleportation and combines his spell with the oldest attack... it was brutal, like they mean it, no hesitation and just pure desire for their mutual survival. The youngest couldn't accept his brother's death and brings him back to life, not minding your attack in the process till they both dead... Tragedy, wrapped in desperation through a hauntingly beautiful music and choir... PERFECTION. Also Marco, have you listen to Sister Friede yet?
The ''Giant Skeleton'' You mentioned is also a great boss theme checking out, High Lord Wolnir is a very underrated boss, but he brings quite an amazing track.
This was my favorite boss in the game and my favorite boss track. The score is so hauntingly beautiful and mesmerizing, the fight was pure elegance and raw power , from the boss movement to the spells. I really really love this track
i have been gone from loss of power and after thankfully getting it back 82 hours later i'm blessed with one of my favorite soulsborne ost?! good start to the day!
I love this boss track I listen to it alot. The lore of the bosses is indeed tragic. I don't remember the exact lore but I think it was something like, loreon and lothric were cursed something to do with rekindling the flame, the curse caused lothric to become crippled and mute. The brothers do care deeply for each other.
So lothric was cursed with being crippled and mute but lorian took half of the curse which was the crippled part, but when he did that somehow he got both parts the crippled and the mute while lothric was just left with the crippled aspect
Eh iirc, Lorian getting cripplied in no way related to Lothric's curse, Lorian is crippled because of the curse conjured by Demon Prince after he beat him, and he eventually became mute when he decided to join Lothric against the kingdom's will to become the next Lord of Cinder While Lothric's weak and crippled situation is not because the curse he got after against rekindling the fire, he is born with that situation while he is the one who is expected to be the next Lord of Cinder instead of Lorian, despite Lorian is clearly stronger and more competent to become one And so, both Princes decided to betray the flame, and form the bond between one and another, which is said that the bond itself is the curse they had endure for their sin That's what I remembered from reading some of the item descriptions
I have no idea if it's too late but please man check out the beta/unused version of this song, "lothric castle" it's incredible and connects the main theme, soul of cinders theme, and the twin princes Honestly all of the unused themes are amazing but lorthic castle is exceptionally special That the and original boss version of the menu theme that was intended for pontiff sulivahn called, " old king of the eclispe"
So I don't usually make comments like this, but I just wanted to say, thank you SO much for your work! I found out about your channel through your K'sante theme reaction, and from there on, I just fell in love with all of your videos. The pure emotion you put into all of those reactions, just seeing you enjoy and vibe to the songs so vividly, it fills me with joy. I remember this fight being tough as hell and I was getting pissed off and had to take a break like once or twice, but hearing from 1:14 made me appreciate them even more. The whole thing of the bosses in Dark Souls 3 essentially being husks of their former selves with everyone having something wrong with them that makes them jokes if you think about what they are now, and this part of the song is still grandiose since it is a bossfight but it also almost feels like watching someone dramatically about to get murdered. Lorian is literally unable to use his legs and is unable to speak but he still tries to fight you since you're purely there to kill them, and Lothric who is unable to fight you directly tries his hardest to help his brother kill you instead. God Dark Souls 3 lore is just so fucking good.
I loved Lothric Prince’s. it was so fast and epic! it was up there with Gael and Midir, definitely top 3. DS3 had such great music that I even bought the Vinyl for it
When the chorus starts it's the second phase. In the second phase, one of the brothers gets on the others back and starts to use magic. Lorian, I believe. When his brother Lothric dies, Lorian begins to revive him and you have a short time to kill Lorian to stop him and end the fight. This is my favorite song from Dark Souls 3.
This is my fav ost lore wise it reflects perfectly the story of the twin princes, both got a responsability that they didnt ask, they dont want to be a lord of cinder they know about how useless is to link the fire, and its even more tragic when you know that Lorian loved so much Lothric that he preferred to be crippled and muted just to make Lothric feel less pain since he was born weak and sick
One of my favourite boss fights, and one of my favourite tracks together. I remember helping people with a summon sign outside the door just to replay this fight over and over again. So fun
Just discovered your channel, and been enjoying your impressions on a lot of the music that I've also enjoyed a great deal. ...So I can't resist suggesting the soundtrack for Eternal Sonata, a game practically dedicated to Frédéric Chopin (aka 'Trusty Bell: Chopin's Dream'). Written by none other than Motoi Sakuraba, another composer for the Dark Souls series! Keep up the good work!
I always feel like this song has a heaviness to it with the descending brass and percussion, like it represents the burden that the First Flame has placed on Humanity, and Lothric's attempt to shed that burden that was placed solely upon him in this cycle. The vocals sound almost like someone urgently explaining something, like Lothric is trying to convince the Ashen One to let the Age of Fire die, and the vocals become increasingly desperate and weary as it fails to convince us.
The first run i did was pure mage build. And guess what? Lothric is resistant to magic. I'm all for trying to defeat the boss by yourself, but scratch that i summoned after a dozen of tries.
I think you should do gael's theme. In my opinion one of the best soundtrack from ds3. The ost shows gael's every form, firstly it is slave then it becomes slave knight and lastly he evolves to slave knight gael.

I admire how Marco describes the first phase as 'anguish, anger, pain and suffering' because all those words *perfectly summarise* Lorian. He is in angish, pain and suffering because he is a crippled knight who is mute and fights us on his knees. At the same time he is angry because there are those who wish to bring harm to his weak brother and is willing to do anything to protect his kin.
this and gael second phase song really hits hard. kitamura is a genius
the whole ds3 ost hits hard
"Mark my words Ashen One, you remain among the accursed" this coupled with that super sad ending to their boss music has me feeling emotions i cant figure out. Dark souls is the only game that makes you feel like an asshole for winning a boss fight.
😂😂
dark souls music is always so epic to listen to
Second to last storywise if i remember correctly, followed by Soul of cinder since Lothric should be the last Lord of cinder you fight.
@@askalon4558 Yup indeed. Also another amazing theme with Soul of cinder
But entering the room by myself.. after 50-60 hours of suffering and i saw the boss with my eyes.. i had tears in my eyes while i fought with them
We have Twin Princes, Gael's theme, and Ludwig's theme. My top 3 OSTs.
Holy shet. Finally one of these videos where the person actually knows the souls games. 10/10 just by that alone.
This is undoubtedly one of my favorite FromSoft tracks. Even after Elden Ring, it stoically remains in my top 5.
Tbh elden ring has not alot of amazing music, where darksouls 3 all songs are amazing
Individuals who liked classical music the most had a significantly higher IQ than those who did not like classical music.''
The tracks you're listing are extremely easy, formulaic, and repetitive.
It would be really great if you listen to Yhorm the giant or Pontiff Sulyvahn next, they're some of my favorite boss themes in DS3
Pontiff especially.
Gods Sulyvahn is such a good fight and theme. Probably my favorite in 3.
@Zarthes Zelendar definitely, my top 3 on ds3 are 1. Abyss watchers 2. Slave knight or twin princes is tie . 3.pontiff
Yhorm's theme deserves more recognition, definitely one of the most bombastic and crazy themes and it definitely suits yhorm
Yeah, Pontiff's is incredible most definitely
The vocals in the 2nd phase really speak to me in this one. It, just, there's just so much *pain* and *agony*, more than any other track. It really screams to me _"I can't take this anymore!"_ . And the way it starts and stops and seems to go slower and slower, like the princes are exhausting every single ounce of their breath and strength to plead out of this horrible fate to which they've been doomed, it chills my bones, really
"Dear brother, unyielding sword of Lothric's prince.
Rise if you would.
For that is our curse"
I love how regal the music feels while also being terrifying and mysterious. Great way to show the princes personalities in the music.
Nice to see they went through with it in elden ring lol
Your reaction to the second phase is exactly what what we all went through
We were sooo amazed !
"Oh, dear Brother... I'm on my way. My brother, unyielding sword of Lothric's Prince... Rise if you would. for that is our curse.”
Twin Princes is my nº1 favorite Dark Souls 3 ost.
So epic.
You have to listen to Champion's gravetender, I think its really underrated.
the most underrated track of all ds3 , the hate for the gank fight definitely clouded how good the ost is. pretty sad that there are very less people who acknowledge that.
I absolutely love the harpsichord.
The ds3 soundtrack is a magnificent achievement, truly superb.
i like how in every soul borne games the themes of twisted and evil mix so well with beautiful and elegant righteous and good sounds makes masterful ost .
This is actually my third favorite song in Dark Souls 3, only being beaten by dragonslayer armor, and the main menu theme

their relationship was very loving apparently. the frail prince was born and bred to immolate himself in sacrifice to extend the age of fire. their father (king oceiros, another boss in the game) did some very forbidden stuff with dragon blood to make sure his heir was a mighty lord worthy of extending the age of fire, but it backfired, resulting in a sick child. so the other brother somehow shared the curse with him and it left him mute and crippled, which is why he fights you on his knees. they decided to not link the fire at all and let the world die out, which is why you came for their heads in the game.
i beleave they both were cursed before hand but Laurian was crippled in his fight with the deamon prince he managed to defeate it but not without getting crippled.
@@drummerboi357 No he beat the demon prince without injury but he said instead of his brother having all of the curse that he shared the curse with Lothric too so therefore his part of the curse was him to never stand to his feet again and never be able to speak whereas Lothric is sort of crippled and frail
You really need to listen to "Sister Friede" from the same game, it is one of my favourite game music piece
Twin princes lore could make me cry
Happy to see the Twin Princes music on this channel. Looking forward to more Fromsoft songs! Great reaction.
It's really incredible that I can remember those strings coming in at 1:15 because I don't think I sat down and just listened to this track before on my own. Usually I forget how the songs go but this reminded me that it was one of my favorite tracks in the game.
the violin in the first phase goes crazy
- "This spot marks our grave. But you may rest here too. If you like".
- "Mark my words ashen one! You remain ... Among the accursed!!!"
I love this Boss. DS3 was my first souls game i played. It holds a very special place in my heart
THIS FIGHT IS WHERE I FELL IN LOVE WITH FROMSOFT ..................................
This has been my favourite track in any of the souls games from the first time I heard it.
i love this you are so passionate about music you are awesome
I love your reaction! Honestly I wish when people react to music, they did more motions. It’s so entertaining seeing you feel the music and play along as if you had a violin of your own. Because I honestly do the same!
I love that you are adding subtitle ❤️❤️❤️
Yessssssss this track is among one of my favorites for the series! phase 2 just adds such a beautiful touch to the whole fight as you can feel the weight of things get way more serious. Great song selection for a listen as always!
As much trouble as it caused, it's easy to understand why they would refuse to continue the kingdom's cycle of sacrifice for a cause they don't believe in.
Their fused greatsword is my favorite weapon in the series.
Mark my words ashen one. You remain among the accursed.
This boss fight and soundtrack is unforgettable
dude i was just thinking yesterday "it would be nice if he reacts to the twin princes" and it's here. Thank you for you're review and again thank you for bringing so many amazing and enjoyable content to us.
This boss track along with Radahns and mogh are my most fav tracks to hear whilst playing a game. So immersive, so emotional.
Don't tell me guys you don't want to do some heroic last stand protecting what you care about while this plays in a background😂
I always loved hearing the violin kick in at around 1:01 for some reason. I think of it as representing either one of the brothers. Maybe trying to reassure or give strength to the other.
Edit: I just realized it might not be a violin.
YES. Thank you for answering to my prayers
One of my Fav Ost from Ds3. This and midir are the ones i come back to the most
That violin in the first half is just beautiful it's the one part of the song that I always remember very clearly above the rest.
I had the exact same reaction at the beginning of phase two, almost tears me up (ultimately got killed) but such an amazing moment.
👀🥰
I love this boss track I listen to it alot. The lore of the bosses is indeed tragic. I don't remember the exact lore but I think it was something like, loreon and lothric were cursed something to do with rekindling the flame, the curse caused lothric to become crippled and mute. The brothers do care deeply for each other.
So lothric was cursed with being crippled and mute but lorian took half of the curse which was the crippled part, but when he did that somehow he got both parts the crippled and the mute while lothric was just left with the crippled aspect
Eh iirc, Lorian getting cripplied in no way related to Lothric's curse, Lorian is crippled because of the curse conjured by Demon Prince after he beat him, and he eventually became mute when he decided to join Lothric against the kingdom's will to become the next Lord of Cinder
While Lothric's weak and crippled situation is not because the curse he got after against rekindling the fire, he is born with that situation while he is the one who is expected to be the next Lord of Cinder instead of Lorian, despite Lorian is clearly stronger and more competent to become one
And so, both Princes decided to betray the flame, and form the bond between one and another, which is said that the bond itself is the curse they had endure for their sin
That's what I remembered from reading some of the item descriptions
I literally had tears in eyes while listening to this.....
( ˘_˘)🍷
I have no idea if it's too late but please man check out the beta/unused version of this song, "lothric castle" it's incredible and connects the main theme, soul of cinders theme, and the twin princes
Honestly all of the unused themes are amazing but lorthic castle is exceptionally special
That the and original boss version of the menu theme that was intended for pontiff sulivahn called, " old king of the eclispe"

When i think of good soundtrack I think of this OST. The feeling of it when fighting is insane.
I started tearing up whenever i hear this ost 😢 damn
so glad i found your channel its so interesting to listen to your explanation and thoughts, thank you for doing this

Ocerious The Consumed King is by far the greatest song in the soundtrack, and the most underrated.
big fan from Brazil here, I love all songs from fromsoftware and I LOVE your reactions
I really love these games with a passion,
Hearing the story told through the musical pieces years later makes me want to do it over for a twelfth time
best song in dark souls 3 obviously
why yuka kitamura cooked so hard on this one? 💀
1:33 I'm kinda hearing the Lady Butterfly sound in here, love it
One of my favourite boss fights, and one of my favourite tracks together. I remember helping people with a summon sign outside the door just to replay this fight over and over again. So fun

I recommend Demon Prince from DS3 as well in case you haven't listened already. It has singing as well.

@@MarcoMeatball Looking forward to it! I've always loved how Sakuraba's style has carried between his different soundtracks over the years.

Maaan, same with Demon prince but I was pyromancer
I think you should do gael's theme. In my opinion one of the best soundtrack from ds3. The ost shows gael's every form, firstly it is slave then it becomes slave knight and lastly he evolves to slave knight gael.
I hate to break it to you but it has been here for a while now
