Couldn't agree more quality over quantity. I have a 2022 BRZ can't wait to mod mine but it's literally too new to find custom parts. So this is cool to see. Trying to figure out how to add hp without putting in a turbo. Cause that would defeat the purpose of the boxer engine. Any advice ?
FYI you don't have to take apart your suspension like that just to adjust the height. That isn't the "coil over life." All you gotta do is loosen the bottom locking collar and then you'll be able to spin the whole shock and spring assembly.
Height looks good! For future reference, you can’t just measure the height versus the stock strut because it compresses a lot more than coilovers. My experience with BCRacing is that they come at their recommended high and you don’t have to do any adjustment on first install.
You and Cameron seem like the chillest car enthusiasts ever. Good shit dude, keep it up. I have a 2022 GR86 Premium and am looking at suspension as well. Ive went with Fortune Auto’s for my Si and S2000 because theyre amazing. But for this car I might go with BC just to try something different.
Decent video work. Use some fill lighting when you're in the wheel wells. I'm in S Central CT and have a 2022 Limited I'm prepping for the track. I'm about to receive my Cygnus X-1 Motorsport Edition Coilovers. BC BR's were the first coilovers I had on my STI. They were good, but I eventually upgraded to MCS two-ways for $$. I'm thinking that the springs are awfully short, meaning reduced travel, and then there's the bump stop to run into. How long are the springs? They look like 5". May lead to some strange performing shocks. That and all the drop is going to make for poor suspension geometry. Should stay with 1-1.5" drop unless you replace arms, etc.
You may have done it off camera but did you test the compression spacing so that when you bottom out the stroke on the coilover your tyre isn't eating the guard?
You and Ruby just got serious, what a great way to start with the bigger updates. Stance for now is lovely, with the new wheels it will look amazing. Keep up the good work. #TrueOG
Never torqued when I did my coils on all my cars lol. Just goot-n-tight with a few ugga duggas. Good vid. P.s I don't miss the million of adjustments I had to do for coils.
Hey Ben it looks great. How much did you end up lowering it the front and the back in the end ?? I’m going with the Silvers coilovers but not sure if I’ll go quite that low
I actually measured to have the wheel gaps be about the same, with the rears having 1/4 of an inch more height for when the car is under load. Normally having the front lower might cause more under steer but it’s such a small difference so I most likely won’t feel anything. Plus I don’t drive the car hard either. I might end up adjusting it again in the future though.
I am so confused. All of the written 'rules' I see on the interwebs say to not impact drive ur lugnuts but literally everyone does it. So which is it???
Do not impact drive your lugnuts on a high setting. I had it set to 1-3 just to get them on. Then used my torque wrench after to torque it to 95ftlbs. If you only use an impact it might put them on too tight and stress the components and they won’t have even pressure.
Nooooo..... You dont have to undo any of the bolts to make adjustments. You literally need only the spanner wrench they give you. Got the job done but a height adjustment should have been a 20 min job for all 4 corners.
@@BenLovrien Easier to show that to explain. Here is a good video that gets straight to the point. th-cam.com/video/wcq7Xm-PssI/w-d-xo.html Basically you can spin the tube in and out of the base rather than spin the base around the tube.
I just picked up a GR 86. The down side to both Toyota and Subaru, vehicles look faster yham really are. Bummer. Shame on Toyota to only produce 228 hp. These vehicles need to be at least at 250 hp, preferably 275 hp and will be a competitor against Porsche Cayman, Jaguar F type v6 and Turbo Mustang.
@@BenLovrien yes, but keep it quick, faster would be more exciting. Jump top end speed up to 160 and the car would be awesome. I must say as my car sits stock, Toyota did really good overall
I’ve gotten this comment a few times before, strange I’m not sure why it happens everything sounds good while I edit. I’ll try harder in the future, thanks!
Ngl every time I see a video from you I be thinking you have like 500k subscribers. High quality videos! In no time soon you’ll be up there
Maybe someday haha

Just free up the exhaust flow (headers and back) , maybe remove some more weight, get a tune on E85, that’s just some simple stuff you can do

Lol I was about to say the same thing! Then found your comment
lol you can adjust the height without disconnecting the lower strut bolts from the knuckle. it free spins at the top.
Keep up the work man, I see a lot more sponsors in your future!
Thanks man! I hope😂
Best 22 BRZ channel right now… keep the content coming man

Insane how you moved down to phx to work with cam. Huge fan of his channel and excited to see y’all working together
Looks SO good dude, thanks for showing every step cuz I’m definitely coming back to these when I install mine!
That's the way to put your hands in there and do-it-yourself! You are one of the few that can actually say "I built that".

Looks soo good! Love to see how far this channel has gone! Keep it up man! 😤😤
That sugar free redbull be way more bussin than it should be! 😂
Are you running the extreme low Kit?
Dude the suspension looks sick!! another banger video! cars coming along real well :D
Thanks man!

Hey man absolutely love the content, if you keep doing this for a while I have no doubt you're gonna become big!
That drop looks killer!
How do you like the BR Series vs stock?
Yo that looks sick bro cant wait for the next mod.
Love my bc coils on the ST enjoy them man

Happy late birthday Ben!!!🙏🏻
People always forget that coil overs have a stiffer spring than stock. Allot of times out of box height is perfect

Not gonna lie, I came here because I saw Cameron's Garage in the back lmao. I was like "Yeah this video's gotta be good..."
Hope it lived up to the hype😂
Nice. Whats your floor clearance? I've always liked the look, just worried about scrapping.
Probably 3 or 4 inches😅 just be careful
Hi just curious if these gr86 bc fit previeous gen gt86
They are actually the old gen coils so they will fit👍🏻
just subbed the subaru is my dream car and i’m working towards it to be my first car
Hey Ben just a question, im installing these coilovers this weekend do i need to buy RLCA to get stock camber? Im just using stock wheels and tires.
Fun fact: Bens friend is also a car TH-camr, wasn’t expecting that!
Yep love cameron alford!

For the sway bar endlinks did you have to adjust them to near stock length because mine wouldn’t reach unless I did
Hey Ben it looks great. How much did you end up lowering it the front and the back in the end ??
I’m going with the Silvers coilovers but not sure if I’ll go quite that low
3.25 inches in the front and 3 inches in the back
Sweet video!
Thanks!😊
I would have gone with Silvers for better quality than BC. Otherwise, thanks for sharing.
Is the difference from stock noticeable enough in performance to be worth the cost.
Definitely!
What spring rate?
Get the car alignment tuned, and you are ready to go
Are these the extreme low version? Thanks
Not sure😬 sorry, they said they were sending me some and this is what I got
I have the BC BR series on my 09 TSX and I love em! Great choice
Great video
We miss Nate!!!!!
Will this affect performance of car, having the rear and front at different measurements?
