I am 74 years of age and remember this vividly from early eighties......bought the VIDEO for my young children who loved it! So innocent and evocative of an innocent age for children!
Takes me back to a much better time. I was VERY young when this came out. I remember being glued to the TV when it came on. This is why I love it. I lost my mam very young and this takes me to a time when she was there before she got poorly. I will always hold this song in my heart
That's a moving story thanks for sharing yes I to was a kid when that came out I loved it I loved it even more as it had frogs that I used to collect at a place nicked name the frogy much to the dismay from my late mother whom I also lost when I was 20. Of course I growed out of bringing frogs into to the house long before that but never the song as you rightfully said in a time when Things where more simpler. .
I put a pond in my garden anytime i see my Frogs out at on the pond i think of this song. I love the song now at 42 as much as when i first heard it. Its a timeless classic. Thanks Paul
Absolutely. Timeless like so many of The Beatles creations. 72 now and I still go back to this occasionally to cheer me up. I've not had a wink of sleep all night due to an infected toe so I just went downstairs for this and Katie Melua to cheer me up.
A timeless and absolute Masterpiece, that evokes such fond and beautiful memories. This was great then and it is still great now. Thank you Sir Paul for this precious and magical gem that you have gifted to this world. Truly unforgettable, beautiful and evergreen!!!
I LOVE th is! I've always loved it since it came out.36 years ago! It was never meant to be another yesterday or something! It's a fun song that goes with a cartoon.
Win or lose, sink or swim One thing is certain we'll never give in Side by side, hand in hand We all stand together Play the game, fight the fight But what's the point on a beautiful night? Arm in arm, hand in hand We all stand together Keeping us warm in the night La la la la Walk in the night You'll get it right Win or lose, sink or swim One thing is certain we'll never give in Side by side, hand in hand We all stand together
Remember watching this regularly at my grandparents 30 years ago on vhs(Google it) sadly no longer with us but these sort of things help to keep the memories alive
Great time in my young life, somethings you never forget and I speak for a lot of people with this and this is definitely one of those 👍👍

The majoriity of people that remember this must have been children at the time and recall a life that was better, stress-free, no worries - a life were probably half of their close family members were still alive.
I had this on vinyl as a kid and my little brother threw it and smashed it off the dashboard in our car and I have never let him forget it! Five years ago he found the vinyl online and gave it to me so I'd stop reminding him of the time he destroyed it!
The version of that film shown on Top of the Pops was shorter. It also showed Paul singing along at the beginning and reading from his Rupert Annual. Of course we know that Paul did all the voices! PS It got to no. 3 in December 1984.

The new National Anthem? Or at least the theme tune for the next Labour Government. It could quite possibly prevent the 'United Kingdom'' from descending into intellectual civil war.

It was an unusual hit wasn't it?; like Mull of Kintyre (which I've cycled over with my tent as it happens!) . I love both of those! Have a super 2025!

This was a magical time that we didn't appreciate and will never see again. Glad I was there.
I am watching this completely stoned and it's absolutely epic!
Yes lad same
Legend
I started watching this thinking 'Wow, McCartney was epically stoned when he wrote this' then read your reply.
Haha 😂🤣😂
Me too and it's twelve years later 👌🏼

@@ericgeorge5483 Me too. Makes me go all gooey inside remembering those brilliant times.
@@BrodieScott27 You and me both. Simpler times, no real responsibility and wonderful music. Fancy coming back with me in a time machine?
@@ericgeorge5483 Hell yes.
I was about 9 at the time (circa 1985) and took the record to the school disco.

First saw this at Christmas 1984 I think it was. Always a classic :)
I'm sucked in again right away..with vivid memories of parts where my dad had to giggle too...
Lots of people slag this song off. I think its BRILLIANT and a fitting tribute to McCartney's love for Rupert the Bear as a kid.
Saw it as a kid,and i still remember, still like it
Memories!!!😁💖
My kids ( ages 6,10 and 14) love it and so do I :-)
Reminds me of Xmas 84. Music was so much better then.
2024 every time when I visit my dad he always drives me crazy with “pom pompom pom pompom” on holidays 😂 but glad he still can at 77
Me and my 2 brothers used to sing this word for word
Elkander, mooi woord!
Cute little song
Wow this has been so long time ago, great memories and nowadays they wont make this anymore....

No he dreamed the song Yesterday.
Such an awesome video:D
awww childhood memories me n all my cousins singin this ffs lol
I don't know why people always slag this off, i think it's epic.
People who criticise this kind of stuff are Millenials who weren't even twinkles in their Parents' eyes in the 80's.

Love the clip AND the song - shame no-one has uploaded the clip WITHOUT Dutch sub-titles!
Bo bo bo. Bo bo bo. We all stand together, bo bo.
I remember that vídeo..., And I heard It..
Maravilloso!!!!!!!!!
Brilliant
Associate this with Xmas for some reason!, i think it might have been released at that Period in the UK.
Yes, it was on Top of the Pops the day my parents put the Christmas decorations up.

Ian Marshall non church funeral what???

thank you person in a charity shop telling me about this
The god that is Paul McCartney
This seems... oddly nostalgic... yet... I have absolutely no recollection of this.
This is fucking genius. So much invention within five minutes. Not even Mozart could have written something as good in that time.
Shane McKenna yes thanks indeed william
Indeed

Het is zo'n prachtig lied

@cveld Het is uit Rupert the Bear!! Groeten naar NL
Fun fact in Shrek 2, when Fiona's father dies and we see the the frogs singing Live and Let Die is a reference to this
We all stand stopether!! (It should be the world's motto)
Aww
Brilliant. Sadly they don't make them like this anymore . Music is manufactured tommyrot these days.
Is the re a karaoke version of this song on TH-cam?
Very similar with "kiss the girl!" Scene in the little mermaid.
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Reminder that Gary Delaney and Sarah Millican walked down the aisle to this song.
The ironic thing is Paul McCartney used to live in a frog.
???
he had to have been stoned when he made this
For some reason this song is always linked with the Flight of Dragons music in my mind... must have been about the same time.
Paaaaaauuuuullllll

Si no viste este video no tuviste infancia
What is the name of this
Merry christmas! Don't forget to praise Kek & say loudly "hail victory" on this special date!
Vanuit welke tekenfilm kwam dit ook alweer?

I don’t know why I thought this was a christmas song...?
This should be our new National athem

The ironic thing is McCartney used to impale frogs in Dungeon Lane in Liverpool when he was a schoolboy!!!!

Melissa, it came out in November 1984 & I believe it was indeed aimed at the Christmas market.
that is very scary and very funny...
Louis André what's scary and very funny?
EADS
Sebastian Welcome esdry
I never really got the point of this song, what is it meant to be saying? All frogs are members of a trade union or something?
Message from the Illuminati "stay right where you are!"
StanPomeray pinz
....oh paul :P
oh yeah the man who sang about being a walrus is spinning in his grave because paul made a song about frogs
