I brought this very plant yesterday from a road side nursery on a highway towards mumbai not knowing what plant it is but I liked it very much. Today I got the id of the plant and came to know it is philodendron birkin. I am thrilled.

Yes it's really nice plant, got this one from local nursery, though price was 700 so told him to plz give me one from the bunch with 100. He agreed for that and after three months my plant is doing well

A year ago I bought the philodendron Birkin. It grew well and suddenly I was loosing the leaves. I got very upset and eventually it died I paid Rs 900 for it. Could resist and now bought another for 500/- I pray it survives.

Hi got it from kerela online. But i stay in Delhi. Hw to place it in winters where in night the temperature is less than 10? We dun have a lot of space here. Is it ok to keep them out during chilly nights?

One of the reasons for the leaves turning pulpy could be over watering.Make sure to water your plant only when the soil is dry.Also try to maintain a regular interval between each watering.

Hey! Leaves will curl if the plant is cold, or excessively dry from constant air flow. Philodendrons are tropical plants, so they will thrive in more humid environments. Increase the humidity around your plant by misting the leaves on a regular basis, use a pebble tray and keep ur plant up on that Pebbels, or moving a humidifier nearby.
Too little or too much sunlight, overwatering, fungal infections, and pest infestations can all cause your Birkin's leaves to turn white. These conditions should all be treated promptly to prevent further damage. However, young white leaves are a normal sign of new growth, and mean your plant is healthy and thriving.
