How do you get the leaf so glazed/shined ?

One of my leaves which was all green (underneath) has a few yellow spots on it. I just bought it 2 weeks ago, and I'm scared its root rot ... What should I do ?? I also have not watered since I bought it as the soil still seemed to be so wet.
Also , soon inspection I noticed it's 2 plants in one aswell, should I seperate ?
