Hi, I'm 70 and started swimming last July 3x wk and have jyst started walking everyday at least 5 miles abd 6 at least 2x weights 2x a week so this information was vital thanks and the info on protein from another video.
I really enjoyed this talk. I have always worked out in the morning but have not eaten before doing a workout. I have been doing this since my 30's and I am 63 now and get bugged that i cannot do what I did then and it is harder in the morning. I am happy to have received the information on what to eat and when, thank you. I will make the eating change this week.
Thanks Debra! To summarize: high intensity exercise = Protein and carb. Low intensity = protein and fat a little carb. What about the quantity of the shake you consume?
"Intense Early, Light Late" if you're a woman in menopause. Use those days off wisely and optimize your hormones. They determine fat burning and fat storage.

I recommend getting at least 30 grams of protein at each meal to stimulate optimal protein synthesis.
