First, Flipping 50 Plant Power in this one www.flippingfifty.com/protein, Silk Greek-style coconut yogurt, a dash of almond or coconut milk, Either Vital Proteins collagen OR Bulletproof collagen - I like vanilla. Other ways to add protein: hemp hearts and nut butter ! Hope that helps!!

Intermittent fasting worked for a while but I've noticed that it is no longer working. I am guilty of doing coffee until noon and I'm gonna stop that habit. You have inspired me to eat breakfast starting with a protein shake. I've been watching you over the last three weeks and I have learned so much from you. Anything I watch I learn! Thank you!

Yes IF works till it does not. unfortunately I didn’t figure that out until I did some pretty massive hormonal damage had to kind of reversed things go back to 12 to 14 hours circadian natural way of eating. I wake up and I eat or intake calories within an hour, and I eat every 3 to 4 hours, depending on physical activity, not afraid of carbs. I personally eat a lot of fruit, and just recently started to retest how my body is reacting and my glucose has been better than it was when I was intermittent fasting and even intermittent fasting for longer periods of time I feel balanced, energetic I sleep well my strength has gone up ect. I also want to note that I am a 46 year-old who had an abdominal complete hysterectomy with a right side oophrectomy in February 2021. I went through surgical menopause and have been on estrogen replacement transdermal patches since November 2021, and overall with everything I feel balanced, and more in check. I hope this helps.

Start hitting the weights slowly and gradually increase your weight once you have good technique down. You don’t want to make yourself so sore that you can’t move. A little soreness is good. It can seem slow but as long as you are making increases in weight or the number of reps each week, you’ll see progress.

My go to breakfast is oatmeal with walnuts and berries or power greens smoothies with protein power, banana, water, hemp hearts and chia seed.

My current breakfast of tea with just a tiny amount of milk and two slices of wholewheat bread with sugarfree jam has almost ZERO protein!!! 🤦‍♀Now I will have to think about a way of increasing the amount of protein I eat in the morning without increasing my dairy intake or relying too heavily on eggs, which I don't really like... anyway, thank you for this video, I certainly learned A LOT! I don't. It's not even on my list of recommendations for women based on obgyn experts. If you have a good diet, you can absorb calcium from foods in high enough forms. There are women who on calcium supplements experience calcification... it isn't actually going to bone but causing plaque. I do like to have women track intake, and become aware of how to eat for calcium absorption. Vitamin D and magnesium are however important for most of us.... 60-80% insufficiency exists with both.

    Soaked vegan oatmeal
Mix 1/2 c. Dry Oatmeal with 1 c fat free almond milk (or any vegan milk) 30 calories, 1 gram protein
    Oatmeal - 5 protein
Add in 2 scoops Orgain vanilla vegan protein powder (it's 150 cal, 21 protein, 15 carb, no sugar!)
Plus add in 1 tbsp chia seeds OR hemp seeds OR a small sprinkle of a bit like walnuts (use your judgement on calories for yourself etc.)
    Add vegan milk of choice
Top with 1/2 c. Frozen blueberries or other fruit
That's 27 grams of protein with just the oatmeal, milk and protein powder! Then when you add in nuts or other things it will increase it a few more grams and I think you're good enough!

As a vegan who is also very nutrition minded, I have found, or rather veganized and also essentially what originally was a mostly plant-based English classic, a breakfast "fry up", or classic English breakfast that I have veganized. The way I make it is as follows:
I use Beyond sausage, high-end plant protein and they make three different flavor profiles I just always choose the original breakfast sausage.
I substitute the fried eggs for Just Egg, which is delicious actually I think it tastes better than eggs, and I'll make a small vegan cheese omelette, using Violife brand American, cheddar or Colby type. Then I use leftover boiled or baked potatoes with some diced onion, pepper and smoked paprika and prepare delicious home fries, with a side of sauteed mushrooms, whatever type you prefer and then broiled tomato slices, with a sprinkling fine herbs or any seasoning you like. That basically gives you, counting the tomatoes, and the onion an extremely high plant protein breakfast with FOUR veggies! And most importantly, no harm done

Confused on this point: Dr. Pelz focuses on various fasting methods - and burning fat is at that 16+ hr time frame with an 8 hr eating window. You mentioned lower fasting window and eating in the morning. Why is there such a difference in message?

    • @Flipping50TV
      @Flipping50TV  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

Stress, Cortisol. Dr Pelz' work is wonderful and works well for some... but we find in thousands of women who come into our programs in groups or private clients, they are undereating and cant possibly get adequate nutrients or protein in during long fasts. Fasting may work long if you have a good relationship with food, have excellent muscle tissue and are tracking body comp and lean skeletal muscle to know... whether or not it is working. Might work to reset microbiome yet, active women need to fuel.. and morning intense exercise is best... in a fed state. "Intense Early, Light Late" optimizes hormone balancing impact of exercise and helps gain or preserve lean muscle.

I usually don't eat breakfast first thing in the morning and I'm not eating my first meal until about 11:00 or 11:30 in the morning.
I follow a whole food plant-based (WFPB) diet and I add in Greek yogurt from time to time or sometimes I have had a bit of sardines or canned salmon. I'm not afraid of carbs because humans have existed on carbs for many centuries! I encourage people to look up a whole foods plant-based diet because you can meet all your nutritional needs without ever actually having to consume any animal products at all. Many people live healthy lives being completely vegan and having high carb diets with low fat! If you Google it, you'll see many reputable doctors that are vegan themselves that are advanced in age and have had great longevity with a vegan lifestyle.
