  • I said it was upper 30s or low 40s in my video. I checked when I went inside and it was 36F.
Just a cold start video since people like them. Tractor hadn't started in a few months at least. was 24F overnight.

Thanks. I started the cub up right before that. I was going to make one of that but I forgot. It didn't like starting as much. It started right up but cut off a few times and I had to restart it. Didn't feather the choke enough. But it was like 5 seconds after it had run it cut off. Anyway still good for a 70 year old tractor I thought. I let it run about 10 minutes then cut it off and did the YM.

I guess you used the thermo start also. I have a 2220D and it starts really good cold too. Mine was wired at the switch to where the thermo start would activate even when key was cranking in the start position even in summer I would think when not needed. I disconnected that wire and now it only works in the left position while holding the key to activate. Seems to work fine I checked it once and it took seems like about 20 seconds to start smoking and flame up. I think the manual says hold for 10 to 15 seconds. The throttle on mine is not exactly right. Trying to find someone with same configuration to compare

No I didn't use the thermostart. I don't even have any fuel in the cup for it. It will start without issue down to around 30F. Colder than that I really have no reason to be on the tractor. We don't get snow here really so I don't push snow around.

@@natevanlandingham1945 I’ve had a really good mechanic tell me that if compression, valve’s etc and battery is in good shape you really don’t need till down about 20 degrees
