Great vid. The wheels are a curious option...envisioning the controller bag in 1 hand while rolling only 1 speaker, posting up any & everywhere to play for _______.
Cool features and everything but I don’t think it all adds up to more than double the price of a Thump Go.
Also I think wheels on an 8” speaker is kinda weird, unless the battery in it is much larger than the Mackie has and is like 10lbs heavier.
Having trouble with the bluetooth on the wave eight. it links to one and not the other one unless I turn the first one off and back on. Also, after awhile, the bluetooth on one speaker syops working even though the light is still on. Then I have to fool around with them to get them both working together via bluetooth again...wtf????

The biggest question I wanted answered, and this points to PRICE POINT. “IS THERE A DELAY IN THE SOUND WHEN DJing, OR NOT? Do they sound the same or about the same as HARD WIRING IT??? Compared to the Bluetooth connectivity, which we know already about Bluetooth and its issues. Because if there is NO DELAY, or very close to it, then I would say it JUSTIFIES the PRICE INCREASE!!!
No latency or delay with wave eight speakers using the sonic link
Its like 28 lbs, so it should be better than most of the battery speakers and that's why it has a handle and wheels. Another note the wireless part unfortunately runs on the 2.4Ghz frequency.(like Bluetooth)
I wish they were more sleek in the design. It looks like the speaker cover was left off, like the old school home speakers. Great review though! Thanks

No.
Too expensive, you could get 2 powered mackie’s and the alto stealth 1 for less
Pioneer Tax though, always about 30% more expensive than they should be :)

I'm sure that my 8" DIY sub put's more bunch than that. 18:15 But it's no wireless. And that's the problem whit the lowstairs. Moro power!!! All thou great review.
What are the names of tracks you are playing?
I can definitely hear the difference between the two. The Wave Eight is much better. I had the Thump Go a couple years ago, but returned it. It sounded so shitty to me. I like the Everse 8 the best for the size. Sounds great and looks professional. This Wave Eight isn’t the best looking and the light in the front is tacky. I’m not sure if you can turn it off. The wireless feature is dope though. I’m sure down the road they’ll also come out with 12” and 15” options for bigger parties.

Thanks for the review. They only this is look "plasticy" to me. Especially when you take off the side-door for the sonic-link. I'll check them out this weekend but I wanted to know your thoughts. Thanks

Pretty pricy for lack of power,I used diamondboxx pa15 for a few and did pretty solid performance .
Also bought the diamondboxx sub15" subs but didn't like bass, it was lacking tight bass . I think I went through about 20 pairs in my dj span and some of the cheaper ones (passive) blew all the powered ones away.

It's 114spl alpha won't actually put that anywhere. The size of this and price they need to start comparing it to the everse 12.

The only thing I like about the omnis or the wave 8 is this sonic link. That’s the only game changer that I see. I’ll wait for that tech to become available by another developer. The wave 8 looks like a Best Buy beach speaker
I don’t get the excitement. The newer Bose S1 Pro has that too but wasn’t big enough to beat the Everse 8. This is still a 2.4ghz system so I’d have a hard time fully trusting it.
I do like the idea of built in though. It’s a bit clunky with the receiver on top of the speaker. I’ve seen a few people say it works in 5Ghz but all the documentation on their website shows 2.4ghz. 5Ghz wouldn’t excite me either as the lower frequencies tend to travel better especially through walls.

1:45 I think you’ve misunderstood the spec sheet. The Bluetooth is 5.1 but SonicLink is based off 2.4GHz. You can get a wireless XLR system based off this frequency for £85 (the t.bone free2b from Thomann). I’m baffled why this feature is getting so much press. The UHF frequency is much less cluttered (Think about it, Wi-Fi runs on 2.4GHz) and offers low latency. Get yourself the Soundboks with a UHF wireless system 🤷🏽♂️

I love the wireless transmission of the sonic link. the Wave-Eight is just.....ugly as F. Give me something to cover the front. The everse 8 is just so much smaller/lighter; If I was going 26lbs and that size I'm going Everse 12. Great review!
at this point with this Dj Survival Kit i fell like im getting more battery packs than an actual Dj Setup. The wireless connectivity looks Lame just the fact that its Battery operated or Rechargable along with all the other components its a BIG no for me. in all honesty it would get more views if it was a GEMINI product., But it's coming from a well stablished far more advanced Product Maker. and over priced AF. Mattel or Play-Doh would not mind putting it on its Shelves. MPO Thanks.

How long can you run the db es602 on a 600Wh power station for? Did you do the test? I would assume it will not run for 8hrs.
@@francoluigimendes I tested the rcf evox j8 at 60-65% volume it consume 70 watt on the display of the power station
I think the dB 602 can play music for 7-8 hours using a 700 Wh Power station
Listening through premium headphones and they sound horrible

they sound awful though when you push them though, like the speakers at a county fair, the ones next to the rides.
This feels like the swap shop version of a true wireless speaker.. took an 8" pa speaker way to large for its size.. added a side cubby. tossed in a low latency mono wifi dongle and called it some fancy link name. Requires an outboard mixer for actual stereo. None of this connectivity is actually built into the speaker. lol.. cmon man. good wifi dongles been on amazon years now. this is nothing new.. and this speaker shouldnt even be compared to an everse.. Noob trap all day. LOL
If you’re using an 8” top as a sub you should be arrested.

Not a hot take, it’s definitely one of the uglier speakers I’ve seen. Seems like something I would rent out but then the price is way too high to justify.
