The cube is great for at home use or if you can drive right to your gold prospecting spot, the nugget bucket was designed to trek through the bush or to take along on a family trip as an activity to do with the kids when you have some down time.
You are right, I think I mention that in the video, was just curious how well the simple nugget bucket would hold up to the gold cube and I think it did really well.
I use a 1/8 classifier on top of the Nugger bucket, fill with water and it holds the water longer while I classify. It seems to work best. I agree the plastic screen is not the best.
We bought the Lynch Mining 1.5lb Reserve XL jar to just introduce our grown kids to panning. Paid $123. including shipping. It guaranteed 2 grams of gold and we got 2.3. Had so much fun and my 32 year old son said, “ok mom, I get it”. My 34 year old daughter didn’t speak till we were done. She’s so hooked. Lol. So, well worth the cost. And fun and return wasn’t too bad either. Love Lynch Mining. Love your videos. Can’t wait to see how you modify those classifiers on the Gold Bucket, because I find the same problems. But I do love that little bowl at the bottom. Great job and thank you.
*_GREAT TEST!_* 14:40 Final questions:: 1) Which one recovers more gold? 2) How long will it take to make up the $300-odd difference in price? 3) How many problems did you have with the water supply of the Nugget Bucket? 4) What is the weight difference between the two? 5) Which sets up easier in, and gets out to, the field? Also, had you tested the Gold Cube first, would it have missed that same 0.7g the Nugget Bucket missed? When the Cube got the dirt, it had been once already fully washed away from the gold. Maybe the classifier for the Cube would also have lost that powder, were it fresh. (I don't know, just asking) And probably the Bucket wouldn't have lost that gold during classification if it had already been washed away from it's dirt.
1) The gold cube will always recover more gold unless its over 1/4" 2) It depends on what your processing 3) The water supply isnt the issue, its the screens, they are plastic so tend to get more jambs then if they were metal 4) The nugget bucket is the same weight as say 2x 5gallon pails so it is way lighter than a gold cube, pump etc 5) The nugget bucket is pretty much always ready to go so it is easier. 6) No, this was not real tailings. The gold cube is far superiour at catching gold.
@@MillerProspecting Just rewatched this. I guess my point was, difference of $100 vs $450 is $350. On this bucket of seed gold, you recovered roughly $8.50 more with Gold Cube. That's over 40 buckets of paydirt, at 8 grams per bucket. Now, how often do you collect 8 grams on a prospecting trip? I'd guess never. I'd guess more like 90% of trips, it's nearer 1/2 than 1 gram. Suddenly we're talking about 500 to 600 trips to make up that $350 difference. I think the average weekender will make roughly 25 trips a year, meaning it will take 20 years or more to make up the price difference. Toss in the ease of use factor, and I think the Nugget Bucket is the better buy for 90% of casual prospectors. By all means, add more gear as you get deeper into prospecting. Just bear in mind, in every gold rush in history, the big winners haven't been prospectors, the richest people have been the ones who supply the prospectors. Thanks for the very entertaining videos.
@@xenaguy01 I agree about the price, while the gold cube is significantly cheaper and would take a long time to recoup your monies unless you went prospecting a lot. But, the nugget bucket is way slower. If you factor in that it would take you 10x longer to process the same amount of material. Both require you to classify the material, one is built-in while the other has to be performed separately. However the feed rates, once material is classified, is the key difference. By the time you emptied one 5 gallon bucket into the gold cube, you could easily process 50 buckets in the cube.
@@MillerProspecting _"...the Nugget Bucket is way slower."_ I don't disagree, maybe just with the degree. I think the Gold Cube is easier used like you did, sitting in front of it on a table. In the field, I've seen other TH-camrs use it in a stream with little of the problems you had. It's particularly amenable to kids, as it's nearly foolproof. Dump the dirt, dump water on it. Toss the bigger rocks, and repeat. I like the Gold Cube, it's one of the best ways to find small gold. The Nugget Bucket is great for a family outing. Two different items, like racing a Porsche and a McLaren.
Yeah I was equally surprised, the nugget bucket did a pretty good job. Next time I will use only fine gold, -40 mesh and below and see how they both hold up.
Thank you for the comparison, I enjoyed your video. However the flaw in how you used the Nugget Bucket shows in your results. You never cleaned the rock properly when using the nugget bucket , That's why you got 0,700g stuck in the classifier and if you were not clearing the rocks properly is where you getting the difference in yields. If you pulling gold out the classifier then you most likely missed gold that was still on the rocks & trace dirt in the classifier that you put to the side. The CUBE has constant water flow cleaning and washing properly. You have to manually wash the rocks in the Nugget bucket! You should have also put pebble size stones at the bottom of the nugget bucket in the catchment dish before you started to prevent the gold blowing out in the initial stages as the sand fills that plastic cup. You catchment cup also looks a little full. Whats the chance of gold flowing out of that it it was so full ? But thanks for the video.
Hey, thanks for the comment. However, I am going to disagree. I have talked to the owner multiple times when this product launched. I based my use on how they are demonstrated to work and how the instructions tell you to use them, In all the nugget bucket instructional videos they just dump water on top of the dirt. They do not scrub, agitate or do anything o the material to strip the gold off rocks other than the force of water hitting them. Its the same as the gold cube which is notorious for having issues catching flat bigger gold. I could have added a top mat to the slick plate to catch any flat gold it may have missed but that is changing the basic setup. So I ran the material as closely as possible to the instructions given in the videos. Also as to the rocks at the bottom of the cup, they are not necessary. The gold rush nugget bucket company has dozens of videos and in only one do they add those rocks. Also when I spoke to them they told me they were not necessary. As stated in the video, I love both pieces of equipment but the bucket does have a few flaws, but then again so does the cube.
Sorry but the gold cube can be fed a lot, here is a quite from the inventor Mike Pung "It can take a thousand pounds of dirt per hour and reduce that material down to a cup and a half of concentrates" The equates to about 15 pounds per minute. I fed it much much less then that.
Hi.Have to agree with a few others.Spraying water with a garden hose does not do a total wash.Pouring the water is best.Next the 2 can not really be compared,As one is a use in the field and the other is a finishing tool.Example try running unclassified material threw the cube.It requires 1/8 minus. The bucket can process raw gravel. That being said it could be improved greatly by using steel mesh screens instead of the plastic.Mcbain.
These reviews are not supposed to be reviews of how good they work in the field but "in home use". I am disabled so all my gold mining takes place on my property.
I'm cheap and I have kids so the bucket works better for me personally, especially out in the field. If I spend more time panning paydirt at home, liked during the winter, in might be happier with the gold cube. Awesome video as always, thanks!
Ha...I was totally correct to be pumped about the bucket. Two great videos!!! In a row!!! Keep up the good work, and you best get that wife of yours something nice for her Birthday since she went so far above and beyond for that bucket!
I have a Gold Cube and bought the classifier screen assy for it.. I have run a lot of beach material, and also pit run materials. The Gold Cube was the winner in my book because of the speed of processing. I did buy a spare pump from Harbor Freight as a backup, but have not had any problems with my pump, even with 10-15 hours of use, mostly in salt water. Now I did add one more catch tub to keep the pump more sand free. If you set up the Cube on a sheet of plywood out in the field it makes levelling it really easy. I added a couple of bubble level bubbles to the top of the cube also. .For me it takes about 5 minutes to level it up. Without the plywood piece it takes me much longer, and the plywood really adds to the stability, especially on the beach, where the stand legs tend to continue to sink into the beach sand during use.
Yeah the gold cube will always win on speed. I have seen a lot of people using the plywood trick to lever their fold cube. I really do wish the gold cubes came with built in bubble levels.
After I pan stuff I save it for a once a year battle with my gold cube. After that it all goes in the back yard. We have a very large yard so alwasy some hole needs filling
Another great video buddy thanks ive been debating on a faster way to go through my paydirt think I'm going to try the bucket first. But I would really like to see how the cube gets cleaned out
Both units look to work well. The classification down for the gold cube would have caused the processing time to increase. It would be good to see the gold cube with one of the attachments i.e. trommel or screen. This would possibly make processing of the pay dirt quicker; however, I think you may loose the larger nuggets unless you detect the tailings.
Me too. I actually made a few things for it, but as I use them I think of better ideas, lol. So waiting till the idea is done before I shoot the videos.
i lost my comment, went on break and came bck, gone!. so hey efficient and meticulous are the words describing you doing these videos, very accurate also. you put on a professional show bud. and thanks for the nug.
Awesome awesome job man. Thank you so much for that. Glad to see the gold cube won. When using these in the field I don't ever really find gold like the Lynch mining gold, I tend to find micro gold and with that a lot of black sand. The gold cube was built for that they even recommend cleaning every 2nd or 3rd bucket load. I run my material twice or maybe three times and clean it every bucket. The nugbuc just fills with black sand so as soon as I see any black sand over flow I need to clean it. Both will loose micro gold but the cube catch's a lot more with a lot less work. Also the costumer service can not be beat by anyone point blank. I am so thankful your wife bought you the bucket and you tried this. I had three pounds of different Lynch material but just not enough to justify doing something like that. Outstanding Dylan and it did feel as exciting to me as a championship fight in the UFC. Have a good one bud and see you next time.
Your are 100% right about the gold cube and fine gold. It is a beast at recovering it, and probably the best and fastest way to do so. As to the customer service, I had a horrible experience. When I was going to order mine I sent off multiple emails asking questions. Got nothing is response. So resent an email from 2 different email accounts and again NADA. Then I saw Mr Pung on a chat board and told him my issues, he took down my email and assured me they would contact me. Never heard back so bought my gold cube from someone else at a cheaper price
Miller Prospecting oh man sorry to hear that man that's not cool. As the nugbuc goes please try one flat Rock in the center of the catch tray vice multiple rocks I'm curious to see if you get better results like I did. I find the gold traps around the edge of the rock really well. Also it is a amazing back up to the blue bowl, just take the black sand out of the dirt first with one of your super magnets(awesome tip by the way) take the top classifier out of the nugbuc and remove the plastic slip overs from the blue bowl leveling legs and set it up as normal. I can run a 1/3 of a 5 gallon bucket of material with no black sand in it and loose hardly anything. Again really love talking gold with people.
lol, no worries! I am always up for talking about gold as well. I will try the rock trick on the gold rush bucket. It also gives me some ideas for more mods.
Nugget bucket is great for an area with water. We drywash in Arizona and come home with 5 to 10 gallons of cons, 2 to 4 days a week. The gold cube is the only way to go.
You know i have seen both. If you watch the videos by the seller he doesnt use anything in the catch basin. On the website they say to do it. When I emailed them when i purchased my bucket they said it really doesnt matter.
The pump comes with the gold cube if you pay $60 for the deluxe model which includes the pump and a stand. Whats real sad is they sell replacement pumps for $49.95 yet found the same exact pump on amazon for $13.95.
I’m pretty sure he said it was the 3rd time he’d used it. Not the 3rd day owning it. But still a lot of money to have to replace something after 3 uses. Love my gold bucket but will definitely be watching to see what he does to those classifiers. I don’t like them either but the rest is awesome. But like all things to do with getting gold, I believe even it is overpriced.
As you said Vickie most things to do with gold recovery are overpriced. I am still working on the classifiers and a few other mods to the nugget bucket.
While I do think it is (gold rush nugget bucket) slightly overpriced, it was cheaper before it was on "Shark Tank" it is a great product. I replied to another of your comments and the water pressure has nothing to do with how it captures gold. While in contrast, the Gold Cube is 100% designed to work based on water pressure.
It is well worth the investment. When your ready would be awesome if you popped over here and used my link so I cold make a buck or two to fund the channel, lol
Normally I do keep a back up, but my other pump was out of commission as well, lol. Also the pumps arent made by gold cube but they put their name on it, and it is the one that comes with there deluxe setups. They also charge $49.95 for the pump that sells for $15 on amazon. So not going to give them any slack for a broken pump.
I use my gold cube at Cape disappointment where we run hundreds of pounds of nothing but black sand. The cube is the only tool that works great there we average around .5g gold per 4 gallons of sand and the gold is as fine as talcum powder.
I agree 100%! I think the gold cube is the best invention EVER for capturing fine gold, it is well worth the price. The pump on the other hand is overpriced.
Im from uk mate im catching gold with the goldcube biggest is 30mesh right down to stuff i can only see with a jewellers loupe. Im getting .5g or so from blacksands too. Have you seen the sawtooth matting for the goldcube? I think its worth you trying especially when running blacksand, i think use 1 section sawtooth, if your vortex is overwhelmed and not exchanging well the sawtooth should catch it
Great review! Did you get a chance to run the vt pay dirt? Wondering how well the gold cube processes fine gold with the heavy amount of black sands in it.
I did, and found some gold. The gold cube as always does great at fine gold, it is what it was made for. I recorded the whole process but sadly the sd card was corrupted so lost it as well as 3 other reviews. It was fun though.
I know there big buckets of paydirt but I think a test should be done with there own tub, as you missed a lot with the nugget bucket but that missed gold was stuck to the larger rocks. You then re-washed the same material through the cube but at this point all the gold that was stuck to rocks etc had already been dislodged. Great videos as always, regards from across the pond.
Ugh that is a really hard one. Its the under $50, sadly most sellers, good oens anyways, are in the $60-70 range so they can add a gram and maximize profits. The only person I can think of is FInd the line on ebay ebay.to/2zJTyYC
Would love too see that bin with pvc plumbing . It's first time i seen a gold cube uaed like that, i know sold the cube. So doubt u have design blue prints lol
Part of what the nay sayers are missing is, this is a great way to test equipment and practice panning. Maybe it is a losing proposition, but you can just think of it as tuition to prospecting school.
Sorry if it's been mentioned, but I'm curious as to how the test would have run with some honest placer paydirt. Morst of the sold paydirt is seeded and it looks like you had alot of one-size gold. I didn't see much "wild" fine gold. Would be interesting to see how much floats out of the nugget bucket, esp with untreated water..
Found vid 1! Yeah that hose isn't doing much if the material aint bein' moved around.. Real screen and a kid to stir it up would help! Or, screen before hand and mount a hose blue-bowl stlye to swirl the goods over a better screen (for home concentrating)..? Nugget bucket for prospecting though, if you can catch that fine..
I like both but for the price you really cant go wrong with the nugget bucket. If you ever order one, please use my link in my description, it will help support the channel :)
This was a really cool video that was one hell of a Christmas gift Rush nugget bucket classifiers should be stainless steel mesh it would probably work better if you stratified and waterlogged material in a separate bucket and then poured it into the Nugget bucket would probably make it a lot easier in the field as well by swirling shovel full of dirt in a separate bucket you can completely wash the rocks
I agree great gift and yes the classifiers should be stainless steel. While prewashing them is a good idea, I am lazy, lol, plus wanted to replicate how most people use the nugget bucket.
Only a two tier gold cube? I not be critical I think you do a great job but the nugget bucket recommends that you never let that cup at the bottom completely fill up or you will lose gold!
Its a 3 stack. I actually got in a 4th tray recently but that is for another experiment. As to the emptying the cup, not possible,. It fills to the top as soon as material is added. It does not push out a lot of material. If you ran 2 cups worth of material it would be full.
thank you!! I been watching you for 2 years now! I'm currently working on selling my own paydirt! I'm a newbie tho. I get my dirt from VT. I'm gonna send you a couple bags to review. There is gold in every bag even if I have to put some in. I really don't wanna sell unsearched material due to VT not having a lot of gold. I know I'd hate to get a bag that had nothing in it. I'm gonna send you 2 bags that I pick at random. this way I can get an honest review and make any adjustments as I go. I'm no lynch by any means so pay dirt will be sent as ordered. so if I get an order I go to my secret spot then let it dry, then mail it out. So with my dirt it would take a few weeks before a customer would receive it. I love prospecting and hope to make it my job 1 day! I know,, a man can dream tho! Thank you again for all you do! if you could do a video on the best overall ROI for the beginning of 2018 that would be cool! have a great day Dylan and I look forward to your next video!!🇺🇸☺☺☺
Wow 2 years, an OG, lol. Well thanks so so much for following me for that long. As to the paydirt, I will be glad to review it, but would be a private review. Meaning I will tell you what I thought but cant do a video about it. I dont do reviews if the seller knows it will be reviewed, way too easy to influence the results.
Good morning Dylan, great review thank your wife getting Lynch mining bucket, panning the cons must of been easy, did you pan the whole bucket? If you did that took along time. See you next video. P.S. I send you some pictures of a gold nugget.
I did not pan out the bucket, as this was simply a test to see which would capture more. I did put all the paydirt back in the bucket so one day when out of dirt or just bored I might pan it all out.
If you don't discount the .7 that the classifier missed it is 2 or 2.5% loss. That really isn't too shabby. I agree on the classifiers, they are pretty crappy. I put together my own bucket and went with 1/8" punch plate in the classifier. I really want to try some 1/8" mesh as the punch plate does like to catch the rocks a little. Not nearly as bad as yours were. I am always experimenting to find a better way.
Yeah I am thinking either just adding a 1/8 classifier to the top and ditching the top plastic one or, cutting out the bottom of the plastic one and adding 1/8 screen. Plus have some other weird ideas.
Yeah, my bucket creation is definitely weird. The funnel portion is big enough to take a 2.5 gallon bucket 1/2 way up the side down in it. It seriously takes a full minute to drain to the bottom of the 2.5 gallon bucket and then still has 10 seconds or so of running in the funnel part. It doesn't clog with material at all in the funnel as long as the water is running when I dump in material. I have been experimenting with the catch cup at the bottom. I have a narrow and a wide mouth container. The narrow is a 2 cup cup and the wide is a plastic salad bowl. It holds about twice as much material. So far the wide mouth catches more gold but it also catches twice as much other stuff along with it. It is definitely a team effort but the kids have fun with it and we can use it where we go. Hope to get it out in the field this coming week and see what we can find that doesn't come in a bag. If I get 1 flake or even flour speck of gold I will be happy.
Yea I was thinking the catch cup could probably be improved upon. I was thinking if it was shaped like a beaker it would force the gold to the sides and prevent any from going over the top.
I tried that and it has 2 problems. First is that if you let the water flow stop the sand compacts and you can't get the water to go back to working the bottom quickly. It will eventually burrow down that far probably but it is hard to say how much gold is being lost while the fluid bed is formed again. Second it blows out the fine gold. I can't say for sure why as I am not a fluid dynamics expert but it appears that the necking down causes the velocity of the water to increase enough that it can carry the gold. Completely parallel side walls all the way up also blows out the gold. Just angled walls can cause the gold to be pushed out by lifting it through direct contact. I wonder about having just a 1/2" tall straight wall at the top with truncated cone shape below it. I think that would alleviate the gold being lifted out of the container by the other material and still allow the fluid bed to move the lights out. There has to be a formula for how much water moving at a diameter that won't lift the gold out but can lift out the lighter material. But that is too scientific for me, I will gut it out through trial and error. Mostly error. But you really should see the blue bowl design I am playing with.
Great review Dylan. I use those big green classifiers out in field. I am thinking since the bucket is 5 gallon those large green classifiers will fit on top. And loose the black internal one. Just a suggestion. It would be easier to shake but would still be a 2 person job. Just wondering if it would clog the the sides of cone inside since the materials going in would be higher than the original design. Awesome video. And ya I was like don't think you did Belmont thought it was vulture but ya it was superstition I remember you talking bout the Dutchman as soon as ya said it lol. Pan on All
But you lost around $2,000. A 2.5 gal bucket is at least $1300 bucks alone and you only pulled 8 grams of gold? No profits. Your better off going to the casino. However I have seen others get around 30 grams but still come short of making a profit
@@Bull1535 It was a custom made product so it might have had a guaranteed amount I have no idea. Was a present from my wife and i know better then to ask what it costs etc. They do sell a 1oz bucket for about $1350 though
I know but the nugget bucket is designed for all material, while the cube is only designed for 1/8 or less. So I tested them on how they are supposed to be run
Trying to check out the two gold catching machine's but the only thing I can see is that giant scare on your knee darn man how yeah filling.. also I like the cube worth it
It really depends where your at and how you do it. There is a lot of people that only do it for hobby but some people make a living from it. If you know what your doing you can make a very good living. From my experience you want a good location and move the material quickly. This can be done with the gold cube. The next step is to extract the gold from the concentrates. Most people waist a lot of time paning it and even lose most of the gold because its so fine. Extracting the gold from the concentrates should be the easiest part. Most the time should be spent geting the concentrates with the gold cube. The really successful gold prospectors know all the secrets. People have been doing this for several years on a big and small scale gold mining. What's funny is some people know the best way to get the concentrates and some people know the best way to extract the gold. You hardly ever find people that know how to do both right tho. There is crazy things going on now days lol
You seem like cool guy. Ill tell you my gold mining secret lol look up extracting gold with mercury. There is even videos you can find on it. Its the most effective way I found and you can keep reusing the mercury. Its been done like this for several years and is used in big bussinesses. Africa this is there main income
That gift of firmont you gave me ended up having 10 pieces of gold in it .one picker .14 very flat but large 9 smaller pieces for a total of .185 thought you would like to know. Haven't started on the rest yet but coming soon

I know a lot of miners who take the gold cube to rivers and it works wonderfully. Yes you have to prescreen your material, but so does the nugget bucket.
The Gold Cube is a fine gold catching machine. The next time I recreate this experiment I will only use fine gold to see how the nugget bucket holds up.

Just rewatched this. I guess my point was, difference of $100 vs $450 is $350. On this bucket of seed gold, you recovered roughly $8.50 more with Gold Cube. That's over 40 buckets of paydirt, at 8 grams per bucket.

Thank you very much appreciate that reply I’ll see what I can do thank you
I like mine I got a battery powered pump set up and I classify down to quarter inch and it flys through the material
Yeah I was going to buy a direct plug in sump pump, but too much money, and have other things I want to buy, lol
You really need to slow down with the gold cube just as with any sluice setup... Less material over time and a sluice box will be insanely efficient
Sorry but the gold cube can be fed a lot, here is a quite from the inventor Mike Pung
"It can take a thousand pounds of dirt per hour and reduce that material down to a cup and a half of concentrates"
The equates to about 15 pounds per minute.
I agree totally, for the price the nugget bucket is well worth it, especially if you have kids.
Wow. I'm shocked at the result as well. Thanks for the test Dylan.
no problem and the nugget bucket was a big surprise. I might have to try another VS battle with only fine gold though.
Ha...I was totally correct to be pumped about the bucket. Two great videos!!! In a row!!! Keep up the good work, and you best get that wife of yours something nice for her Birthday since she went so far above and beyond for that bucket!
thanks and I plan on buying her a bucket for me to pan out as well, LMAO! She is the best, and I am the luckiest guy in the world.
I agree on the built in level part. I tore apart a dollar store level for the vials. Epoxy, and it was done.
especially considering it is the most important part of the setup. They could have added one for a few pennies.
Great review
Would you please show how you used the containers with the gold cube water recycle system
I will be posting a updated video in January about my custom recirculating system for the gold cube. I have improved it for this year.
Great video! What you do if all the sand? If you have a collection do video. Thanks
After I pan stuff I save it for a once a year battle with my gold cube. After that it all goes in the back yard. We have a very large yard so alwasy some hole needs filling
Another great video buddy thanks ive been debating on a faster way to go through my paydirt think I'm going to try the bucket first. But I would really like to see how the cube gets cleaned out
I am pretty sure I have the clean out in one of these videos
th-cam.com/video/tmSIAdt2p78/w-d-xo.html
or th-cam.com/video/o8tCt7yigJE/w-d-xo.html
Both units look to work well.
The classification down for the gold cube would have caused the processing time to increase.
It would be good to see the gold cube with one of the attachments i.e. trommel or screen. This would possibly make processing of the pay dirt quicker; however, I think you may loose the larger nuggets unless you detect the tailings.
The trommel and grizzly are just way too expensive for what I do.
Lots of fun. Looking forward to seeing the modifications to the Nugget Bucket.
Me too. I actually made a few things for it, but as I use them I think of better ideas, lol. So waiting till the idea is done before I shoot the videos.
Awesome. thanks.
i lost my comment, went on break and came bck, gone!. so hey efficient and meticulous are the words describing you doing these videos, very accurate also. you put on a professional show bud. and thanks for the nug.
Thanks!!!
Great review. There are definitely pros and cons to both systems. Thanks for work.
Yeps, and thanks. I am going to do a review on both in separate videos soon.
Great video bud I like the nugget bucket too. I have both also
Awesome awesome job man.
Where I live we have huge amounts of black sand, but basically no gold.
Well thats no fun!
Nugget bucket is great for an area with water. We drywash in Arizona and come home with 5 to 10 gallons of cons, 2 to 4 days a week. The gold cube is the only way to go.
Neither one will work very well for dry washing. I have done some dry washing, and my hat goes out to anyone who can deal with all that dust, lol
I think you need to put some small marble size stones in the nugget bowl
You know i have seen both. If you watch the videos by the seller he doesnt use anything in the catch basin. On the website they say to do it. When I emailed them when i purchased my bucket they said it really doesnt matter.
Did the pump come with the Cube? If so, that sucks and a big reason not to go with their product. If it breaks 3 days in....no way.
I would like to see you do a review on at where you actually poor four buckets of water through I'm just curious cuz I'm thinking about buying that
While I do think it is (gold rush nugget bucket) slightly overpriced, it was cheaper before it was on "Shark Tank" it is a great product. I replied to another of your comments and the water pressure has nothing to do with how it captures gold. While in contrast, the Gold Cube is 100% designed to work based on water pressure.
savin up for my own gold cube, thanks for the great videos!
It is well worth the investment. When your ready would be awesome if you popped over here and used my link so I cold make a buck or two to fund the channel, lol
will do
I always have two pumps in case one dies while we're at the beach. The pumps that it comes with is not made by gold cube.
Normally I do keep a back up, but my other pump was out of commission as well, lol. Also the pumps arent made by gold cube but they put their name on it, and it is the one that comes with there deluxe setups. They also charge $49.95 for the pump that sells for $15 on amazon. So not going to give them any slack for a broken pump.
great review, thank you. Subscribed!
I think its worth you trying especially when running blacksand, i think use 1 section sawtooth, if your vortex is overwhelmed and not exchanging well the sawtooth should catch it
Wow, so if you could run 400 gallons a day, that would be 50g of gold a day! You could make a pretty good living doing that.
Cube it or lose it , it is that simple !
lol, yeah love my cube
Great review! Did you get a chance to run the vt pay dirt? Wondering how well the gold cube processes fine gold with the heavy amount of black sands in it.
I did, and found some gold. The gold cube as always does great at fine gold, it is what it was made for. I recorded the whole process but sadly the sd card was corrupted so lost it as well as 3 other reviews. It was fun though.
If this is a regular 5 gal bucket, why couldn't you use regular classifiers? Wow! #4 down to #100. Get all the gold.
You could and I plan on using one in the future but I also want to think of ways that will keep it as portable as possible as well.
Just bought tye nugget bucket fantastic comparison glad I bought it amd on sale
Awesome, I am a huge fan of the nugget bucket. It is simple and works.
Yet another great video pal keep it up :-)
Thanks!
Nice Nuggets, beautiful Colors 🎉😊
I have a question, who has fastest shipping and best paydirt under 50$?
Ugh that is a really hard one. Its the under $50, sadly most sellers, good oens anyways, are in the $60-70 range so they can add a gram and maximize profits. The only person I can think of is FInd the line on ebay
ebay.to/2zJTyYC
Thank you informative.
thank you for watching!
Love your videos. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Anthony!
I got a question for you where do you or how do you find out what the spot price of gold is where do you go to to find out thank you
Here you go
goldprice.org/gold-price-per-gram.html
Would love too see that bin with pvc plumbing . It's first time i seen a gold cube uaed like that, i know sold the cube. So doubt u have design blue prints lol
Thanks for your videos Dillon! Cheers from Oregon✌️
thanks and thanks for watching!!
Part of what the nay sayers are missing is, this is a great way to test equipment and practice panning.
Maybe it is a losing proposition, but you can just think of it as tuition to prospecting school.
agreed
Well you recovered a little more with the gold cube good job
surprisingly close though. Will have another VS challenge one day with nothing but fine gold to see how they stack up then.
That was great and the nugget bucket did good I think great video hope you have a good one.
yes it did and thanks
Maybe the holes in the classifier will wear down over years of use and lets say its seasoned. And will work a little better
then it would let in larger material, which would probably be counter productive.
smoother holes, not as rough
maybe, I have an extra classifier, maybe I will drill them all out to round and see how that works
In the field with bucket being unstable place some rocks around it. Just A suggestion!!
Thanks for the suggestion
Sorry if it's been mentioned, but I'm curious as to how the test would have run with some honest placer paydirt. Morst of the sold paydirt is seeded and it looks like you had alot of one-size gold. I didn't see much "wild" fine gold. Would be interesting to see how much floats out of the nugget bucket, esp with untreated water..
Oops, just noticed I should watch vid one.... Be cool if it was linkable in the descrip.
Yeah I plan on doing a real test with this one day with a set amount of gold in different sizes to see what gets blown out and what stays
Interesting results! I think I’ll go with getting a Gold Bucket. Dollars!
I like both but for the price you really cant go wrong with the nugget bucket. If you ever order one, please use my link in my description, it will help support the channel :)
Don't know if you get your new messages, but, The gold rush bucket classifiers has been changed so you got your wish :).
Thanks for info. Looked on website and didn't see any mention of it but will keep looking
“Let me do some math in my head”
-Starts writing down problem
sweet you are on a roll
glad I didn't place any bets I would have lost
lol
Entertaining video and interesting review!
thanks
Good job very good education thanks
thanks for watching
Like you I am more about trial and error then book stuff. Feel free to email me and show me your blue bowl invention dylan@millerprospecting.com
Cheers mate, another interesting vid.
thanks!
did the pump clog up due to picking dirt up from the sump
Nope, I keep it in a separate tub inside the other tub. Just a bad luck pump.
Pan on All
Yeah the green classifiers fit on top perfectly and I have see a lot of people use it like this. It is going to be the 2nd mod I make to my bucket.
I thought the cube would win by a bigger margin. Nice challeng.
I did as well, the gold rush nugget bucket really surprised me
And I appreciate the work you put into these two videos! But when you are having fun time is not that important.
That is what it is all about finding some good paydirt and having fun
But you lost around $2,000. A 2.5 gal bucket is at least $1300 bucks alone and you only pulled 8 grams of gold? No profits. Your better off going to the casino. However I have seen others get around 30 grams but still come short of making a profit
Not even close. This was a custom bucket of his $25 per 5lbs of material. So probably only cost about $400.
I gotcha. It looks fun an all, but it just doesn't seem worth the money especially if there's no guarantee amount of gold.
@@Bull1535 It was a custom made product so it might have had a guaranteed amount I have no idea. Was a present from my wife and i know better then to ask what it costs etc. They do sell a 1oz bucket for about $1350 though
Yeah it probably wouldn't be a good idea to ask. Lol
I know which one I'd prefer to carry a mile to the river and back.
You should to a review on Belmont mountain and vulture mining district paydirt from lynch mining
Their is a lot of paydirt form Lynch I still need to review, but sadly I have reviewed them so many times they are very low on my list!
Do you work the river I know you're from New York I'm from Connecticut
But on the cube you had already classified the big rocks out??
I know but the nugget bucket is designed for all material, while the cube is only designed for 1/8 or less. So I tested them on how they are supposed to be run
I need a gold cube!!!!
well if you ever buy one please use one of my links, helps support the channel.
nice as always
thanks for watching as always!
There's some nice little pickers in there wasn't there
yes some real nice ones, I did give away the biggest one though. Gave it to one of my good friends who orders most of my paydirt for me.
Trying to check out the two gold catching machine's but the only thing I can see is that giant scare on your knee darn man how yeah filling.. also I like the cube worth it
Yeah getting a knee replacement gives you a nice scar. Next January will get the matching one on the other knee, lol.
Miller Prospecting well your are going to need too good knees gold dirt buckets are heavy
lol
I am purchasing one maybe we can use it in the field in Sept
Well when you do, ask me for a link and support the channel, lol
Miller Prospecting I thought all three of us can use it as well as what ever Tony has at the time
sounds good
So you pay 2 times more than the value of the gold you find right
sometimes more, sometimes less. Its a hobby, pretty much all hobbies cost money, just this one you find gold at the end.
Good idea.
thanks
That gift of firmont you gave me ended up having 10 pieces of gold in it .one picker .14 very flat but large 9 smaller pieces for a total of .185 thought you would like to know. Haven't started on the rest yet but coming soon
not too bad, for a sample bag.
Hi.In reality you can not compare the 2.Thenugget bucket is a field machine. The gold cube is a finishing machine requires screening to 1/8 minus at home it is not a feild machine so you can not compare,Try running a gold cube on the river you will through it in the river.I am talking throw a shovel of dirt in out on the river.it will fail.It is a finishing machine.Luck Mcbain.
I know a lot of miners who take the gold cube to rivers and it works wonderfully. Yes you have to prescreen your material, but so does the nugget bucket.
Use both in concert
Wouldnt really be worth it. The goldcube is a wonder at fine gold but isn't very portable for going out to the stream with your family.
Dylan your awsome 😎👍
thanks
For the money I get that nugget bucket
I agree. I think once I make some mods to it, it will be really good.
Go buy some fish tank pumps with adjustable flow
One with enough GPH wouldnt be cost effective, need sump pumps to move this kind of water
The cube will always be better then the bucket anyday simply for the fine gold ..imho.
The Gold Cube is a fine gold catching machine. The next time I recreate this experiment I will only use fine gold to see how the nugget bucket holds up.
The nugget bucket catches really fine gold really good
It does, but curious just how well.
Cube all day long
Agreed
Nice Video🎉😊🎊🇵🇷
Everyone loses hundreds on these Lynch mining pay dirt buckets it's crazy.
I didn't lose any money on this bucket or the one ounce bucket I reviewed.
,8.35 grams forgot the nine
Well if I forgot the 9 it should be 8.36 as always round up, lol
Miller Prospecting awesome video Dylan
😀
Hey man I'm going to keep it real your scales are off the study doesn't count
how can anyone take him seriously when he has an affiliate link going back to Lynch ?
Lynch Mining does not have an affiliate account. I use bitly links so I can track who goes where. The same reason why youtube does analytics per video, Next time check your facts first.
you should really watch your videos before you post them.... lol you only showed the qube running not the bucket so we got to take your word for it?
You mean like in part 1? th-cam.com/video/TOVSijp5qgY/w-d-xo.html
Thats why this video says "Part 2", lol
