Great stuff Alan! Always getting the best outta every product you use! An that’s the point! I’m 100% with you on not running your railing twice or three times but due to the fine nature of that gold from Washington beach isn’t no joke! Thanks for sharing
Totally awesome. Love it! I've got both n great idea, works great ever since i saw this that's how i set mine up. Smart thinking. Stay safe happy and healthy.
I like your concept it should work well I have watched the gold labs video and I like that concept too. I worked in a papermill for 37 years and we had cleaners for the stock slurry that worked by the same concept as the blue bowl and I used to dump black sands and regular sands out of them I always wondered if you could make a gold separator the same way, they controlled by pressure which created velocity and that velocity separated the heavy's and light heavy's out, we had two systems that were closed systems and one that the rejects would be blown out the bottom, one of the others it dropped to a large glass bottle and it also had a secondary to take out finer material the 3rd system was more entailed and looped the heavies and light heavy's back through other cleaners to reclaim as much fiber as possible. You should do a little search on papermill stock cleaners or pulp mill cleaners maybe it could give you some ideas, I have been trying to think of a way to be able to run classified sands without sluicing through something like that if it is possible you could just continually run raw sands through it. One company that made the cleaners was GL&V.
Great use of the equipment ! That was a very good idea combining them. After my Alaska adventure I will have to get me one of each. That makes for a dam good cleaning station ! Cool
@@alanrobertson2510 Yeah I hope so as well ! There are so many areas to prospect it's ridiculous. I will be grabbing 1.. 5 gallon buckets of chip sampling per vein and 2.. 5 gallon buckets per of loose ground material under the veins. Will be doing a whole lot of panning chasing the veins. I plan on spending a whole week and if Needed I will just stay for the season. I plan on opening up some claims if I do good on my sampling
Sounds like a great idea. The river just down the road from us has alot 100 mesh minus and a ton of black sand we dont go there much cause its so hard to get the gold seperated from the black sand . might have to give this a whirl, Thanks Alan.
I also have my blue bowl dumping onto a v ribbed gutter sluice... i like the idea of the nugget bucket after that.. your videos are great to watch.. i bet you get alot people inspired to try their own methods n experiments ! :)
Thank you Yes a lot of people have tried some of my contraptions mostly my bucket trommel and the silicone sluice box mats that I have been making using legos of all things. Thanks for watching.
I hope you put up a video when you finish your trommel I would like to see what you do. My trommel will be something like I made last fall out of a five gallon bucket the rock go in and out of the top of the bucket.
@@CurrentlyRockhounding The bucket is a little to big but with my design I need to be able to put a small shovel in the bucket to feed to material. I was wondering are you planning to drill classifying holes in the pipe? I think I might give that a try and see if the holes get plugged with rocks last time I made it with 1/4 inch screen.
@@alanrobertson2510 I'm cutting large square out of the pipe and then adding 1/4 screen to it so they can just be replaced if they wear out. Holes often get plugged up.
Thank you That is what I did last time to I might still give drilling a try I have nothing to lose. They want a fortune for 1/8 screen and I think it might tear.
Great video! I like to experiment for the fun of it. You have turned on my switch button for another topic 🙀and will follow up with your experiment. Keep on keeping on.
I think I lost loads of gold testing my blue bowl out.I didn't classify small enough coz I haven't got one small enough.I've just got a kitchen sieve.I really like your idea about having 3 things in order to try and get it all first run👍😁
Yes you will lose the gold if you don't classify the material. Here is a idea just find a small plastic container and heat up a pin or needle and poke some holes in it and you have a classifier.
You can run 20 buckets, I've done it but it is a 2 person operation. Family fun mostly, definitely doable if you have a bunch of energetic kids that need something to do lol.
I can run 20 buckets in a day It's not good by the time I get home and try and get out of the car. My wife and I usually run twenty buckets in two days when we go out. I would love to get my two boys out man we could move some dirt just hard we all have different day off.
Great if you want check out the video I did on a DIY leveler for the blue bowl then the bowl will sit on any size bucket you want and it's super easy to level.
Awesome, I’m totally gonna go get a funnel and add a mason jar to the bottom of my set up. I feel dumb for not thinking about that. Thanks for sharing fellow Montanan
Hi Kevin That is a great idea if you do not have a nugget bucket. Thanks for sending over a person to check out my silicone mats. I forgot what side of the state are you located?
Alan Robertson I am definitely game. We are going down that way to camp at Crystal Park and then head to Ruby Reservoir anyways. It’d be cool to meet and make some new friends.
Looks good to me. Do the same while your fishing, that some cold gold! Get lucky either way? Not enough of them gold fish to go around. Lol . How’s the big sky country, still got some the white stuff on the ground? Latter.
Yes the ice house gets plenty of yous here lots of lakes in the area. The big sky country is warming up finally and the snow is going fast. Another three or four weeks before we can get to the claim. Take care.
Hi just wondering if miller table is done and i wanted to ask you about candle wax ? Do u thinl gold might stick and have u thought about gym mats also foam exericese material. And i hear that you can use jetdry but do you think maybe temporay hair dye might work too wash out able . i think it could work to stick to it better . also i just tryed a stupid idea and i thibk it works maybe u can help me with the kinks . i put a condom in a jar with a lid with a hole cut in the middle. And i filled up the condom with water slowly and the heavier material stayed in the bottom and the lighter stuff rose and came out the top because of the condom material i think and the expansion of the material and strech i think but i would like you reply thank you
I'm not sure this makes sense. But how about placing two blue bowls on top of each other. Top one runs water faster then bottom one, re-direct the top bowls water outlet (middle) a bit so it falls into the lower bowl. Self running or just nonsense :) I do not know.
Good thinking and I see what you are saying. I think when the water from the top bowl dumps into the bottom bowl it would mess up the speed of the water in the bottom bowl witch would mess up the vortex to lift the light material out of the bowl. Just my two cents worth. Thank you for watching
I will be doing that when I get the clean up sluice added to the setup and we will see how much gold is lost when done properly. No I have never made a rocker before I just don't think I would use it much.

how much gold got washed out of the blue bowl??
A lot of gold got washed out kind of on purpose just to show how much gold the nugget bucket would catch.
oh I was curious how much it lost during normal operation. You ever build a rocker box? been thinking of one myself.

I know me too but it kinda looks like fun and if water is limited who knows could be the ticket to some gold or a sore back.
