Even with the shoulder news Nick is full steam ahead with the bathroom this week. So much progress!!
We do take a little detour day out this week and love them or hate them there is always something for everyone at a Brocante.

Bed looks really nice in the space. That's a lot of cleaning! I feel your pain! The dust/dead bugs/"cat spots" in our 70s bungalow have waged war on my cleaning regime 😮.
Nice that you were able to enjoy a few days of visiting as a result though!

You pair are such a hoot!! Clare, I immediately saw that "loving gaze" while you were both assembling the bed!! I was saying "get him, Clare, get him"!!! Of course, I love you Nick, but there are those things you do that are "crazy making"!!! Of course, Clare, you can do no wrong in my eyes!! We girls stick together, we do!! The bed is beautiful & I think perfect for a chateau, one turret short!! The size seems so appropriate & of course, very well chosen!! Thx for featuring the 2 sweeties, Flora & Merlot...have missed them! Glad you had such a special time with family & I'm certain all of your hard work cleaning, washing, etc., didn't go unnoticed, Clare!! What a list!! Had to take a nap after reading it!! My first apartment the shower was literally in the middle of the bathroom. Had to walk through it to get to the toilet.
Be careful don't get too negative....I remember last year with the pool was fun!

That is soo funny. My kole does the same thing. He hides under the ottoman and when I try to get him out he lays on his back so I should rub his belly and not get him out.

Not long to go before the surgery - he has been asked to slow down so he does not injure himself but there is no stopping him!!
Buying beds in Europe is most different from South Africa. Clare, I'm sure I'd also only have ordered half of what I presumed was an essential part of any bed 😅 Glad you enjoyed your time with the family though. ❤❤
I have ordered another bed Norma - and this time the base too. However I bet this time it includes the base... lets wait and see.

There are a couple coming back this year - not all in one go again though....
Love the intro music. What tattoos do you both have? If that's too personal....when do you expect to finish the majority of projects in and around your home? (1.5.10 yrs)
We hope to open most of the building up for next season. I think our side of the house could be a project for a few more years. Ohhh Tattoos! Nick zero - not a fan! Clare a novelty cow between the shoulder blades, A book pattern I got whilst at a rave and a mini one on my hip.

Hi Mary - we normally try and wear our old erm tired clothes for renovating in. Nicks shirt says I dream of a better world where chickens can cross the road without there motives being questioned. They are doing really well - we sadly lost one last year. They are normally really good layers but only one today...
