@@nikig2891 It looks like the green back splash that we took out of our kitchen. Not a fan but Keith works on a budget. He did a tan, square backsplash in another episode and I just hated it. Think it was the cowboy house.
Agree! Can you imagine the grease just from normal cooking seeping into the many crevices. When I did my kitchen I said I wanted flat kitchen cabinet doors, the designer tried to dissuade me, he said, what kind of statement is not going to make? A clean statement - because all it takes is some cleaner & a cloth & I’m done in five!
One of the only flipper shows on HGTV that lists the houses at reasonable prices. They do such a great jobs and almost all of their projects are affordable for buyers and for what I can tell doesn't cause a massive gentrification spike to the area. I also love that they use COLOR instead of white, grey, bleak and boring!! Their show only comes on as much anymore(HGTV pumping out new shows left and right).
The cabinet doors in the kitchen are really unique and beautiful but I think with all those little spaces, they would be a dust and grease trap, especially the ones closet to the stove. Would love to have seen how the rest of the place turned out.
I completely agree. It is unique but a bit much for kitchen cabinets, I could see that design on a credenza but I didn't like them in the kitchen. I also hated the backsplash...brown on brown on brown. The rest of the house was beautiful!
Loved what they did to the house, inside and out. I don’t understand why you don’t show the entire renovations that were done. Would have loved to have seen the bathroom and the bedrooms.
Had a great time in Phoenix buying these 1200 sf boxes, jacking them way up and putting in a first floor that is 4feer below grade with 9 foot head clearance and a huge central open area with a staircase. Usually the lower level had three bedrooms, two baths and everything else including the master with an ensuite and an extra powder room . Final squarefootage was usually 2700 and they sold here for 350 to 500k.
Actually 100% profit. If they had sold it for $45k they would have made no profit at all (0%). Doubling your money means you made a 100% profit. Whoever wrote the title has done 6 times $15k, the purchase price of the property, which makes no sense, and is still wrong as this would equate to a 500% profit as you can't count getting back what you spent in the first place as "profit".

Hi, May I make a cheeky question? I have watched loads of renovation shows, both in America and here in England. One thing I notice is whenever the workers start whacking down walls, they come across many problems like main drains etc. In America, do you not have blue print plans of all your houses? In England, you cannot sneeze without the local Council knowing about it - they are very strict, and each home comes with blue prints of not only the house but outside too, in case there are any access to drains and sewers that the home owner needs to be aware of. So if you want to concrete or pave over your front or back garden, tough, you have to make sure that the access points, like large square metal lids, (we call them manholes, no sexism intended) are accessible at all times. Thank you for your videos but, I too, wish they were longer!

@@kalimbaayinde25 The neighborhood this house is in actually isn't bad - This is the "Greenfield" area of West Detroit near 8mile Rd, it's not a bad looking area.
If you watch this show regularly you notice many of the houses around the ones they renovate are abandoned and completely derelict. Many have obviously had squatters living in them. As more properties are fixed up and the quality of the neighborhood increases the prices they charge for each house gradually increases. There are some episodes of this show and others where they pay $5k for the house if it is in a really terrible area, I've even seen some other similar shows where the city will gift it for free on the condition it is renovated to a high standard.
Love the artwork on the cabinets but that needed to be a wall hanging and not cabinets. I have to wipe down my kitchen cabinets to remove food and dust every 2 weeks. Also, loved the exterior! Too bad we didn't get to see the bedrooms and bathroom!😢
Loved their show. They show how you can turn a wrecked house into a loving home. Loved the kitchen small . This house is for a first-time owner, which can help them later to buy their forever home.
Great content as usual, I loved this as I am about to invest in uk property with 70k deposit (plus fees and more savings for furnishing and decorating) to buy my own place, but I am also treating it as my fourth investment, having two spare rooms for lodgers to cover this property mortgage and tax costs... and to build my equity whilst working my day job for my next investment.
First, Debbie you need to have a salary of at least 25k before you will be considered for a mortgage, that you need for properties. If you want to achieve a 75 percent yield yearly, try looking out for an investing advisory or else you will be competing against professionals themselves.
Generating returns are usually phenomenal. What would have been really interesting would be a proper breakdown showing their costs , services, investors return..
That's an intentional way to live Jessica, that's the only way to become debt free. I've already paid off two previous mortgages. Now I'm working on my third and I cannot wait since it has to happen before retirement in four years and I'm already getting there the proficient way, Luckily for me my trader and coach Frost Hilda has been using every opportunity to ensure I benefit from each turn the market takes. Good luck staying debt free as much as possible in the future.
Absolutely, contract agreement splits are favorable, I’m also exceptionally well positioned as I’m privy, so that’s a good return deal for any investors creating revenue for more interest.
I'm from the UK as well and I'm currently overpaying my mortgage each month with money from investing. I'm on a no buy this year and my goal is to have my mortgage paid off in under 3years, hopefully sooner, so I appreciate and am forever open to receiving tremendous amount of value to achieve my target.
I hated it actually. It was brown and brown on brown. The kitchen cabinets were better as a credenza, the backsplash was just no! The outside and the rest of the house was nice, IMO.
The wood feature on the cabinets make for nightmare cleaning. In a kitchen which is full of grease you want easy wipe down. It’s beautiful but not for a kitchen. Maybe a three d paint effect that can be wiped down

I'm really surprised to see how many positive comments there are about the whole kitchen. Can you imagine trying to clean those? Plus, it's just too much between the busy cabinets, dark backsplash, and patterned countertops.
Taste is subjective but there were alot of elements in the reno that didn't feel considered. Two flower planters sitting precariously on the entrance deck, the large purposeless bowl sitting on the dining table, the whicker basket on top of the fridge serving no purpose. The kitchen is the biggest crime, impractical surfaces that wont allow wiping down and an overly busy mix of ornate tiles and lines on the doors.
@Eliza: lots of homes in Detroit have only one bathroom. Sometimes there is a half bath in the basement. I grew up in a neighborhood that had a family with 10 kids and they only had one bathroom. They learned to take turns.
1 bath is usually standard in these types of Detroit homes, you may get lucky and have plumbing for a half bath in the basement like someone else said here, but basement half baths don't typically add that much value overall from what I've found - I've had VERY good results adding a half bath in the upper bedroom of these bungalow style homes like this one though (usually no room for a shower/tub), it's costly for sure ($6-8k is what I typically spend), but a pleasant return on investment and always surprises buyers - Every bungalow I've added a "master suite" to has sold at full price or slightly above asking when I make that addition.
In addition to the rest of the reno, add a bathroom upstairs by slipping it in next to the closet and you have a great house. I think they could sell it for $135-$150,000
These two do such fun amazing renovations! Bargain Block, wish they did more. Saw them on Rock the Block, more modern, but sweet. I prefer their shabby to chic work.
I agree don’t be selfish we wanted to see more. They do such a fabulous job and it’s not fair when you don’t show all of Keith talents , come on now let’s do better next time.😊
I LOVE love Love what they did to the kitchen. They really had to in order to distract from how tight that stove/fridge space is. Too bad they couldn't have come up with a different placement. Wondering if a unit without the big handles would have been better. Anyway, I'm still drooling over the wood designs and considering it for my kitchen cabinet update. My cabinets are laminate, so if I add laminate strips, I can spray them with Fabuloso for easy cleaning.

These two do such fun amazing renovations! Bargain Block, wish they did more. Saw them on Rock the Block, more modern, but sweet. I prefer their shabby to chic work.
Do you guys ever assist disabled Veterans? Have 3 issues in an old house that I can no longer do. Contractors really play games here. Thanks!
I agree don’t be selfish we wanted to see more. They do such a fabulous job and it’s not fair when you don’t show all of Keith talents , come on now let’s do better next time.😊
The entire episode is on the website of HGTV.
The realtor is adorable af.
TOTALLY LOVE YOU GUYS,HAVE been watching your series on our normal t.v.station but have now found you both on U-TUBE YEEEESSSSSS ❤❤❤❤
Putting affordable houses back on the market. Thanks guys ❤
Stunning. I would be interested to know the selling price. Im sure the price was more than anticipated for this lovely renovation. Well done!!
Under the description in the video, I believe it stated that it sold for their initial asking price of $90,000. 😃
Someone got a great deal. I'm jealous. LOL
OMG I watch HGTV all the time and I just realized they are on TH-cam as well 🎉
I wish this project was taking place in a different city (one with not so harsh a winter?)
Can you imagine the dirt that is gonna build up in all those cabinet doors😮
My favorite Reno guys hiding out on TH-cam with no Closed Captions for us hearing impaired fans.
Which state is this? What year was this? How are the prices these cheap??!
Detroit, Michigan - I don't know the year
I LOVE love Love what they did to the kitchen.
Love the custom cabinets.
Yeah👍👍👍 this really an artwork. I really love this house🏠🙏
These two guys always to a great job
Thanks for beautifying Detroit's neighborhoods.
Amo este programa... el "Colo" es un gran artista; de verdad, hace cosas maravillosas. Y las casas quedan "Fabulosas" !!!!
They are amazing!
