Love love you guys and your show. Watch reruns over and over. Love shea too
Those cabinets are gonna be a nightmare to clean
And I really hate the backsplash. I just do.
@@nikig2891 It looks like the green back splash that we took out of our kitchen. Not a fan but Keith works on a budget. He did a tan, square backsplash in another episode and I just hated it. Think it was the cowboy house.
I think those cabinets will be hard to clean too.
Agree! Can you imagine the grease just from normal cooking seeping into the many crevices. When I did my kitchen I said I wanted flat kitchen cabinet doors, the designer tried to dissuade me, he said, what kind of statement is not going to make? A clean statement - because all it takes is some cleaner & a cloth & I’m done in five!
Yep! Big no to artsy kitchen cabinets!
I know thet's in Detroit, I believe in Brightmoor. It's so nice to see someone remodel a home with their own ideas instead of the same grey colored walls, horrible white/grey flooring. It looks really nice.
❤
That's what I was thinking, Detroit. Only because when they were walking up there were other boarded up houses.
Not the Brightmoor area, that street would have looked much worse and more abandoned if so lol - This was in the "Greenfield" area of West Detroit, in between 8mile and 7mile Rd.
Somehow I don't see them on HGTV anymore. Not sure when they are on, but they are the best. They do so much with so little and compliment each like no other couple on the channel.
May we, please , have a full episde of each house they work on? They deserve more recognition than they are getting. We are missing out on their expertise.
Thank you, U3.
Thats the down side of tv, they have to cramp everything in a episode
I love these guys. Wish they could show a bit more, maybe just 4 or 5 minutes. This is truly great what they are doing for the neighborhood.
Remember on TH-cam you don't get to see a whole show
It's amazing how the houses look!!!
Looks like Detroit
@pou618 it is that's the only place they do renovation
Are they still making this show. I loved it and waited for it to come back but it didn't. Is it now back with new episodes.
One of the only flipper shows on HGTV that lists the houses at reasonable prices. They do such a great jobs and almost all of their projects are affordable for buyers and for what I can tell doesn't cause a massive gentrification spike to the area. I also love that they use COLOR instead of white, grey, bleak and boring!! Their show only comes on as much anymore(HGTV pumping out new shows left and right).
Yea it's Detroit my car cost more than the house they purchase lol
That would never be in Massachusetts even twenty years ago
You do know the location correct? They probably need to show when these guys tools get stolen probably every house
@@neilsmith9066they have in a few episodes.
The cabinet doors in the kitchen are really unique and beautiful but I think with all those little spaces, they would be a dust and grease trap, especially the ones closet to the stove. Would love to have seen how the rest of the place turned out.
This is what I came here to say. Kitchens need to be as nook-and-cranny-free as possible!
Exactly. That is not a working kitchen.
I completely agree. It is unique but a bit much for kitchen cabinets, I could see that design on a credenza but I didn't like them in the kitchen. I also hated the backsplash...brown on brown on brown. The rest of the house was beautiful!
That was my thought. Beautiful, but nearly impossible to keep clean.
@@peggyjones3282
I can't get past trying to clean it, lol.
Loved what they did to the house, inside and out.
I don’t understand why you don’t show the entire renovations that were done.
Would have loved to have seen the bathroom and the bedrooms.
They have to cut out so much to make a short video. Before we edit our videos it be at least 2hrs long, but we try to show the most we can
These 2 are my favorites. they should have won their season of "Rock the Block"
I love what these guys are doing.
Rebuild rundown neighborhoods.
HGTV please put these guys back on the air.
Wednesday night, I think it's 8:00 central time. I would love to be able to fix up one just for me.
"This is turning out exactly as we'd hoped." Now that's something you don't often hear on reno programs!
I love these guys I'm so glad they fixing up my old home twn I grew up in Detroit Michigan
Do you know whereabouts they are in Detroit? I was going to look up the houses on streetview, see if I can find them.
Very nice! I like how you sell it furnished. Also, it is great that you didn't over-develop the house for the neighborhood. Well done!
I love this show. These guys are great! Best part? NO GRAY!!!
As a seasoned house flipper, I can say that your choice of materials and finishes is top-notch. It adds so much value.
I don't know why they were nervous about the exterior. It's beautiful.
I thought it was the prettiest part!
@@julieclark9173 I agree.
The outside is just adorable= like a chocolate box with ribbons and bows. The kitchen wood treatment is OUTSTANDING!
The house turned out absolutely beautiful would never expect anything less
Big fan here . Everytime I see a cheap rundown house for sale in Detroit I think of you two .
The realtor is adorable af.
Not crazy about the kitchen but the exterior looks good!
Pretty to look at but a nightmare to keep the grease away.
I hated it actually. It was brown and brown on brown. The kitchen cabinets were better as a credenza, the backsplash was just no! The outside and the rest of the house was nice, IMO.
This is art ❤ literally a dream for interior architect to create art......and people really love it👍
I adore this show for so many reasons. It makes me smile and makes my day. Love these guys - so creative and talented.
I love the cabinet doors, but I would be afraid of not being able to keep the three of the dust and grease in the kitchen.
I wish hgtv would renew their sho. I think they are actually doing something to help lower income families get their own homes. Many of the other shows that work in renovations go overboard and only people with higher incomes can afford. Plus they can make a tidy profit to boot.
we do the same but rent them out instead
I love their projects and here comes a BUT: The railing around the porch is not treated? The kitchen cabinets will be a NIGHTMARE to clean. They sell the house with the art and furniture, that is UNIQUE and restraining at the same time. And I would have loved to see more of the finished product but still, thank you for uploading!
That's pressure treated wood.
Also the house is just staged.
@@saratemp790 I am quite sure they sell the houses with the furniture and art, it’s kind of their stick.
@@lilybutler9740 You're right, I saw that more later.
Those cabinets are going to be a nightmare to clean, with the kitchen grease and food splashes.
Everything turned out amazing
How want's to clean those kitchen cabinets? All in all very funky and artistc but way to many "browns" for my taste😢
I'm not the biggest fan of their designs as a whole.
Love the artwork on the cabinets but that needed to be a wall hanging and not cabinets. I have to wipe down my kitchen cabinets to remove food and dust every 2 weeks.
Also, loved the exterior! Too bad we didn't get to see the bedrooms and bathroom!😢
Why aren't these guys on HGTV and more? One of the best shows on the network---and THEY can actually DO the work!!
If I ever get a 2nd house and had the money I would want them to customize it for me
Can't wait til youre back on Wednesday evening!? I love this show!!
they paid $15k for the house plus $30k for renovation comes to total of $45k, if they sold it for $90k it would be 100% profit not 600%
I was going to say, is no one going to question their math?
If you think of 30k like reinvoicing (you put it in, and buyer gave you back), then house sold for net 60k, meaning the profit is 400%
Actually 100% profit. If they had sold it for $45k they would have made no profit at all (0%). Doubling your money means you made a 100% profit. Whoever wrote the title has done 6 times $15k, the purchase price of the property, which makes no sense, and is still wrong as this would equate to a 500% profit as you can't count getting back what you spent in the first place as "profit".
@@samtriglone8858 oh yeah that's make sense, my bad, that's was really bad mistake by me 😬.
@@xali2008 Still way better than 600% 😆
Great content as usual, I loved this as I am about to invest in uk property with 70k deposit (plus fees and more savings for furnishing and decorating) to buy my own place, but I am also treating it as my fourth investment, having two spare rooms for lodgers to cover this property mortgage and tax costs... and to build my equity whilst working my day job for my next investment.
Houses are so expensive in the uk now. How would anyone pay off 400k plus, unless they want to commit to a ball and chain lifelong mortgage? Am I missing something? Seems like even if you had two professionals there that would take decades to pay off…?
First, Debbie you need to have a salary of at least 25k before you will be considered for a mortgage, that you need for properties. If you want to achieve a 75 percent yield yearly, try looking out for an investing advisory or else you will be competing against professionals themselves.
Generating returns are usually phenomenal. What would have been really interesting would be a proper breakdown showing their costs , services, investors return..
If you invest your money wisely it called slow and steady. You are the turtle. You will become rich when you retire and this is true, But most people don’t have the patience and the understanding on how to invest properly, most people buy nice cars, nice TVs etc And blow their money that way in life
That's an intentional way to live Jessica, that's the only way to become debt free. I've already paid off two previous mortgages. Now I'm working on my third and I cannot wait since it has to happen before retirement in four years and I'm already getting there the proficient way, Luckily for me my trader and coach Frost Hilda has been using every opportunity to ensure I benefit from each turn the market takes.
Good luck staying debt free as much as possible in the future.
Those cabinets would collect so much dust on all those little pieces of wood!!
I've been waiting for a new episodes for weeks now thank God there's new episodes I'm not sure if it's new but I haven't watched it yet I love your artistic creations you are super creative
I would NOT want to have to clean those cabinet doors and you cabinets always need a good cleaning once or twice a year. If I liked the house, I'd change those cabinet doors out as soon as possible. I love those guys, they are doing such a great thing for Detroit.
I came to make the same comment! It’s ugly AND a nightmare to clean! Kitchens need to be easy to clean. FUNCTION. FUNCTION. FUNCTION.
A fully furnished three bedroom house for 90K is an AMAZING deal. It's nice to see actual starter houses at starter house prices.
No 😂😂😂😂. Not in that neighborhood.
yes the only downside will be the neighborhood or the amount of work it'll need, we just bought one same numbers as them but just more work.
@@kalimbaayinde25 The neighborhood this house is in actually isn't bad - This is the "Greenfield" area of West Detroit near 8mile Rd, it's not a bad looking area.
The only downside in that neighborhood is the $15,000 a year you'll have to spend for stolen copper wiring and siding every time you leave the house 😂
If you watch this show regularly you notice many of the houses around the ones they renovate are abandoned and completely derelict. Many have obviously had squatters living in them. As more properties are fixed up and the quality of the neighborhood increases the prices they charge for each house gradually increases. There are some episodes of this show and others where they pay $5k for the house if it is in a really terrible area, I've even seen some other similar shows where the city will gift it for free on the condition it is renovated to a high standard.
I love their show ! Did HGTV not renew them ? I hope they did because I really use to enjoy watching them.
I would buy that on day one. Gorgeous!
I strongly dislike the kitchen cabinets, but what a sweet little house! 🤗
I'm really surprised to see how many positive comments there are about the whole kitchen. Can you imagine trying to clean those? Plus, it's just too much between the busy cabinets, dark backsplash, and patterned countertops.
@@VioletJoy 100% agree!
I'm so mad at HGTV. I purchased the first season which I never do and they didn't renewed their TV show for a new season. But they keep renewing other couples on their channel.
The wood feature on the cabinets make for nightmare cleaning. In a kitchen which is full of grease you want easy wipe down. It’s beautiful but not for a kitchen. Maybe a three d paint effect that can be wiped down
I adore these 2. Theyre my favorite kind of hosts. They actually care and are personally invested in the job theyre doing. Idk their names but the short one is so creative and always coming up with fun ideas that make each house so unique
Carrying the curtains up to the top was a very good call I have 16ft ceiling’s. The cornice comes half way between the window top and the ceiling. It pulls the eye up. Just like your curtains. Great job!!!
LOVE THIS GUYS !! I don't know where they come up with their ideas. Keep up the good work.
Best show on hgtv
Loved their show. They show how you can turn a wrecked house into a loving home. Loved the kitchen small . This house is for a first-time owner, which can help them later to buy their forever home.
SO Cute, I love the outdoor house color!
Awesome 👏🏻
I would love to have that house as a project. For $90K that would be a GREAT house to purchase and live it. What a great design and deal for the consumer. I can see a couple or a single person living there for sure. I would have loved to find that house. BTW, you can find homes like this in every state via tax scavenger sales (tax liens). I have done this year a while and bought my last home for $137K, fixed it up and sold it for $260K. It is not worth $380K (new owner put more into it and property values rose). That said, I bought two more homes recently for $120K, and am remodeling them now. However, my work does not look anything like this. LOL. I am a hack. 🙂 Great video.
One of their best houses!
What a great way to enhance & improve the neighborhood!
You guys are amazing and always work hard. You take tear-down looking places and make them sexy while still being affordable.
Nice cupboard design, but how will you clean the food spatters and finger prints?
Great curb appeal and I love the copper coloured eaves troughs and downspouts.
Love the exterior! The inside reminds me of back to school shopping in the early 90s. But it all came together great.
Hi, May I make a cheeky question? I have watched loads of renovation shows, both in America and here in England. One thing I notice is whenever the workers start whacking down walls, they come across many problems like main drains etc. In America, do you not have blue print plans of all your houses? In England, you cannot sneeze without the local Council knowing about it - they are very strict, and each home comes with blue prints of not only the house but outside too, in case there are any access to drains and sewers that the home owner needs to be aware of. So if you want to concrete or pave over your front or back garden, tough, you have to make sure that the access points, like large square metal lids, (we call them manholes, no sexism intended) are accessible at all times. Thank you for your videos but, I too, wish they were longer!
@Jameshusrt53 I am ever so sorry but I am not quite sure who you are? Is this your channel?
No people in US often remodel their houses their own way. No telling.

Fabulous. I'd love to see the whole episode to see how the rest of the house turned out.
These guys are great 😊 I just can't imagine a family living with only one bathroom?
You’d be amazed at how many families live with just me bathroom. My family did it for 13 years.
@Eliza: lots of homes in Detroit have only one bathroom. Sometimes there is a half bath in the basement.
I grew up in a neighborhood that had a family with 10 kids and they only had one bathroom. They learned
to take turns.
its amazing that alot of people do, we try to add another bath in 3bedrm homes, because who does'nt want 2 baths
1 bath is usually standard in these types of Detroit homes, you may get lucky and have plumbing for a half bath in the basement like someone else said here, but basement half baths don't typically add that much value overall from what I've found - I've had VERY good results adding a half bath in the upper bedroom of these bungalow style homes like this one though (usually no room for a shower/tub), it's costly for sure ($6-8k is what I typically spend), but a pleasant return on investment and always surprises buyers - Every bungalow I've added a "master suite" to has sold at full price or slightly above asking when I make that addition.
I lov😊e what the guys do.would like to see more of them on HGTV. Have noticed how many designers now copy their designs, yet they say they are not designers .
Beautiful work awesome job ❤❤❤
Beautiful,unique designs!❤
Yine güzel bir ev yaptınız.Tebrikler
Gorgeous hous, guys. Congrats!!!!❤
Had a great time in Phoenix buying these 1200 sf boxes, jacking them way up and putting in a first floor that is 4feer below grade with 9 foot head clearance and a huge central open area with a staircase. Usually the lower level had three bedrooms, two baths and everything else including the master with an ensuite and an extra powder room . Final squarefootage was usually 2700 and they sold here for 350 to 500k.
Thank you for sharing this video! Love it. I got my home remodelled with Pro Star Restoration and they did an amazing job!
I liked this shorter more abbreviated version of the redo. Often videos get bogged down in all the details,
but if you're watching just for a quick relaxing viewing, then this format is perfect!
Stunning. I would be interested to know the selling price. Im sure the price was more than anticipated for this lovely renovation. Well done!!
Under the description in the video, I believe it stated that it sold for their initial asking price of $90,000. 😃
Someone got a great deal. I'm jealous. LOL
Can you imagine the dirt that is gonna build up in all those cabinet doors😮
Love the custom cabinets.
Yeah👍👍👍 this really an artwork. I really love this house🏠🙏
They are amazing!
i love what this great person doin and is great result
That client that went in to look at the house should be on every episode. She was hilarious!
These two guys always to a great job
In addition to the rest of the reno, add a bathroom upstairs by slipping it in next to the closet and you have a great house. I think they could sell it for $135-$150,000
Love Them!!
90k? This is 1 million in CA
We love you guys. You deserve to succeed for future business and renovating homes.
We need more homes flipped like this. Improving neighborhoods and an affordable housing! $60k is doable.
Epic reno🎉❤
Great cabinets but I noticed you got the draperies right this time (ie, the way I like them!). 😊
Just love what they doing with the area
Beautiful and original 👌👌👌
Wow that is a beautiful house!!
Before ever buying or renting a house always go by on a Friday or Saturday evenings to see what it is like in the evenings, it may be peaceful in the early hours but a war zone in the evenings. I would definitely have a security system there
Please come to Charleston West Virginia our city officials and mayor are demolishing the vacant houses. Their goal this year is 300 house to demo. These houses are beautiful! Nothing wrong with them just vacant because our population has declined since 1987 consecutively. The population has become interested since it’s sooo cheap to live in Charleston. No industry no economy
I agree don’t be selfish we wanted to see more. They do such a fabulous job and it’s not fair when you don’t show all of Keith talents , come on now let’s do better next time.😊
The entire episode is on the website of HGTV.
Stunning very impressed with the kitchen and the colour combination..can I send a pic of a house I want to renovate..
What a cute little home❤

I really like these guys I’ve been watching them for awhile.
i must say, first time watching yoou guys, and you got yourself a new fan :) nice job you both!
Been watching them since their first season. Like that they don't make a big profit like the other shows. Doing a great job. Keep up the great job your doing. 🎉😊
