What I love about them is that the truly are interested in helping bring Detroit back and they want everyday people to have a home and keep their homes at such a great price. They really ARE within reach or "normal" people.
My two favorite renovators. Their concept of one house, one street at a time is so rewarding. Also, they seem to be working in black communities allowing families to have affordable updated housing. You go guys ❤😮😅❤
If we only had two more of these guys in another run down town/city. Renovate one house, one street at a time. We could make affordable housing to people that might never be homeowners. I love these two hard working professionals.
Another hooray for this Detroit neighborhood. Keith and Evan's home transformations always look unique and personal. I can't wait for their season 3 on TV.
Being visionary should be a superpower ❤. These guys see far. Always great to see the transformation n love the fact they are artistists. Houses are not boring
What a great transformation. So many clever touches. Have missed these guys. Haven't seen this show in so long. Is this the first one of the season or have I just not been able to find it? Love this show. Have a great day everyone.
Appreciate what they're doing for Detroit, one house at a time. They're rehabbing without being greedy. Dislike the blond wood wall decorations. Kitchen, exterior, and bath is great. Use hydrogen peroxide for mold mitigation instead. Make sure if you put it in a sprayer the it blocks out light from the hydrogen peroxide because light degrades it.
They are the greatest designer's with true design abilities and original too. I never change the channel when featured on HGTV. Their communication with each other and sense of humor makes it all the more fun to watch. Please continue your wonderful work. All the best and to Belle too!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
I'm an avid viewer of the series. After watching each episode several times, I think that Keith would be a wonderful father! Hope there will be a season 4!!!😊
I concur and my body definitely is the proof: some mold causes confusion, memory loss, I have breathing issues, bone (joint issues, and body aches, and mucus problems etc. The rental house was filled with mold. Bleach did not cure the problem.
I like what they did. I would have switched the bedroom to the kitchen and utilized the laundry into a en suite master bath. Removing bedroom walls, as much as possible. That way the entire wasted hallway is living space. I like the wood headboard treatment, but spiders will LOVE it 😂😂😂. TFS
I wouldn't walk around that house without a respirator on. It was foolish of them not to. Homeowners should always hire a certified mold remediation company. Spraying only the surface won't get rid of the mold spores. I read about a guy who died from breathing in black mold spores that were stirred up when he remodeled a moldy interior. Mold is something that has to be declared to a potential buyer when a purchase agreement is drawn up. If the homeowner doesn't, he can be sued if the buyer gets sick.
They are helping reestablish Detroit one house at a time. ThoughMotor City may never be as populated as it once was, people and projects like this may lure people back to the area colloquially called "The Rust Belt" People from the rising sea levels, drying out West may come and begin/expand their enterprises?
@@ElectronicMusicUnderground I knew you didnt mean to be insulting. However, I'm well awsre of those "insane" home prices. We started noticing many more than usual out of state plates during the most recent pandemic.
Aren't you suppose to leave an inch air gap between the block and framing for it to dry out and avoid mold??plus the roof and gutters needed replacing. Definitely part of the water issue. Congrats on everything else
It's not necessary to leave a gap between the block walls and the framing because they sealed the block before they put the framing up. They would have had to do the roof and gutters, but it just wasn't shown in this edited-down video.
Definitely need critical pathways. I've always had issues about what to do first. Roof or painting house...I need to replace an awning. Should I do a new roof or awning? It's like a math problem, order of operations.😅
At the 3:27- 3:35 time mark in the video they’re removing the sink from the wall in the kitchen. Does anybody else notice the image of a young girls-upside down- face in it? Or ❓❓
3 weeks ago Please come to Charleston West Virginia our city officials and mayor are demolishing the vacant houses. Their goal this year is 300 house to demo. These houses are beautiful! Nothing wrong with them just vacant because our population has declined since 1987 consecutively. The population has become interested since it’s sooo cheap to live in Charleston. No industry no economy
Cute house. One thing I would of changed is the hallway to the master bedroom. I would of knocked that bedroom wall out and made it bigger. Adding a door from the living room to the new master bedroom.
YES to Cracked Pepper! My son saw a neighbor getting their house painted that color and he had to ask the name so we can use it when we build our house.
WT😮! Make sure the new owners 🙏🏽these houses, seriously!😂Tiny homes are so great! My first home was an original 2bdrm 1bath tiny home in Ft. Laud, FL retirement neighborhood ,28 years ago. Bought as is $30,000, renovated/ massive backyard & in 8 years it sold for $130,000. My buyer just sold it same size in 2022 for $340,000.🤑 Unbelievable
How can you buy a House for a $1000.00 REALLY! Did I hear Keith said this HOUSE AS IS, Unbelievable. Plus they are trying to sell this for $92,900 but they only paid $1000.00 LOOK AT THE PROFITS, THEY MADE!
I don‘t know too much about the climate in Detroit, but in Zurich, Switzerland, dark colors for exteriors are forbidden because that absorbs the heat in summer and works as a radiator for the environment…

These guys are the reason I subscribe to HGTV.
I love seeing absolutely trashed homes being gutted and renovated! It looks great!
What I love about them is that the truly are interested in helping bring Detroit back and they want everyday people to have a home and keep their homes at such a great price. They really ARE within reach or "normal" people.

So happy to see Detroit making a comeback in my time. Something I never thought would happen. Well done!
Love the office/murphy bed space. The transformation is impressive. Excellent workmanship.
What I like about these two guys.. They know what want and what they are doing, and definitely they know how to do it😂👍👍👍
Being visionary should be a superpower ❤. These guys see far. Always great to see the transformation n love the fact they are artistists. Houses are not boring
i wish they could redone the whole Detroit
Love what they’re doing in Detroit.
What a great transformation. So many clever touches. Have missed these guys. Haven't seen this show in so long. Is this the first one of the season or have I just not been able to find it? Love this show. Have a great day everyone.
JUST PERFECT! CREATIVE GENIUS AT WORK!
Love the kitchen colors!!
Wow, what an improvement! One of their best transformations.
Wow, you guys knocked it out!!! I want that green couch. 😍
The green couch is nice. It's neutral without being neutral.
They knocked that ugly house into a beauty. The double duty bdrm is great. I like the wood head board, too. I see some draped fabric added. ❤
Appreciate what they're doing for Detroit, one house at a time. They're rehabbing without being greedy.

I seem to remember vinegar is good to get rid of mold, but bleach isn't, and it's bad to breathe.
Alot of hard work went into this one, great job guys!

My highest respect to these two gentlemen. They are crackerjack designers but are not above doing the building, and even the grunt work of demo.
I'm an avid viewer of the series. After watching each episode several times, I think that Keith would be a wonderful father! Hope there will be a season 4!!!😊
@ginacrusco Aren't they just so creative? I love how they think things through & then design. 👍
Agree 100% on the work part, actually doing it themselves and not just stepping in for filming a clip
Awesome result!
I didn't like the decoration style in the living room, but I loved the kitchen, it look perfect, wonderful!👌🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I love these guys so much.
The black mold is pretty serious and often times requires licensed technicians to abate.
I agree, after working for State Farm Insurance for years we were always taught that bleach does not kill mold!
A bottle of bleach takes care of it & you dont need an expert to hold a bottle of bleach.
@@cme98no it doesn’t necessarily kills all the spores.
I concur and my body definitely is the proof: some mold causes confusion, memory loss, I have breathing issues, bone (joint issues, and body aches, and mucus problems etc. The rental house was filled with mold. Bleach did not cure the problem.
I love all your creations
Best show ever. Hope they continue doing great things together.
Please, HGTV, come back to this wonderful TV Show. I love these guys so much❤❤
I really love what they do! Helping make Detroit great again! And they are so creative! How fun!
The home turned out great, you two are so talented. Do you all do anything with the yard, like mow, edge, etc?
Being black mold did you pay for remedication? Properly dispose of it? That is a big cost. And how did you support the load bearing wall you removed?
Amazing as always!
These two guys are really good !
I love you're able to do the hoods up and make profit for the next... ,keep on bringing the communities back to life xo
TFS
You are so amazing. Your integrity and skills are dynamic.
I like the digital imagery of what the rooms would look like as it puts it into perspective.
I love that kitchen!
Geez guys, shouldn't you have mold abatement teams in there?! Glad you made it out. And the houses you find - I mean $1000 wow. Well done
It is amazing they sell the house designed and furnished. He does some amazing designs
A mold house! I sure hope even the studs where looked over and replaced. Even if there was bleach it could come back and make someone really sick.
Prefer hydrogen peroxide for remediation.
If they sprayed the bleach, it likely penetrated deeper
I wouldn't walk around that house without a respirator on. It was foolish of them not to.

Love the fact that yall take a potion of your profit and use it to buy furniture for the buyer
I love all ya do ❤ y’all are amazing!!
Beautiful transformation. But have to wonder if they found any issues in the attic/roof area as it wasn't covered in the video, curious.
Where is Shea?
Her son was diagnosed with cancer shortly after birth. He is doing better, but she had to take time off.
@@jalifritz8033 Wow, I did wonder where she was. An earlier episode showed the couple getting ready for a big 1-y/o birthday bash.
Missing Shea and keeping her son and her family in our thoughts.
Love keith work❤ he is so creative
Love, love the design of the house!
Your both so creative love your work ❣️

I didn’t know that Keith and Evan did houses to be shown only in the UK. I haven’t seen any of these. Looks like I’ll have to subscribe!-Susan
My city tore down a decent house worth $38k but is "fighting like hell" to save/sell a long neglected house worth $7k? It doesn't seem logical.
Same confusion here
@qusharif1853 Now, they are asking $100k for an abandoned house that didn't sell for $33k.
Love the inside especially the wooden canopy detail in the bedroom but did not care for the black paint outside.
I saw 1 of my favorite houses that you've done today
Love the kitchen
Definitely need critical pathways. I've always had issues about what to do first. Roof or painting house...I need to replace an awning. Should I do a new roof or awning? It's like a math problem, order of operations.😅
Always choose the option that protects the integrity of the house and prevents further damage to it. The roof should be your priority!
Love the House 🤩🤩
These guys are awesome and love the humor 😁
What brand and color is that on the beautiful kitchen cabinets? I love this show and these two guys.
Truly beautiful
At the 3:27- 3:35 time mark in the video they’re removing the sink from the wall in the kitchen. Does anybody else notice the image of a young girls-upside down- face in it?
Or ❓❓
Looks great once they put their stamp on it ... I'm behind impressed I won't even lie haha... Clap clap to them for sure ❤
I'm in Australia - those slats above the bed - my first thought was a hiding place for spiders.

This is by far ny favourite HGTV show. Everything else seems the same.
These two are sooooo great!
Love them!! ❤
Marshmallow Fluff. Love this show.
Would Keith and Evan travel for a home design
Beautiful Home , Job Well Done.
The Roof Gutters, Look like it could be Replaced, Why Not!
What’s up with Inspections?
Board & batten siding looks nice, but it is AWFUL to paint by hand with a brush. I did not have a paint sprayer which you need.
4:56 You truly need to check into black mold remediation.
Bleach?
Does exactly that bleaches away the colour.
It will grow back.
Did you do anything with the falling apart garage, or is it still all gross?
And I also wish they'd include images of the backyards on each of the properties they renovate.
@alanatolstad4824 Good point. I now wish that, too. 🙂👍
Cute house. One thing I would of changed is the hallway to the master bedroom. I would of knocked that bedroom wall out and made it bigger. Adding a door from the living room to the new master bedroom.
Love you guys 💞
YES to Cracked Pepper! My son saw a neighbor getting their house painted that color and he had to ask the name so we can use it when we build our house.
Oh, I’ve missed you,!
Isn't the mold gonna come back without proper mold abatement?
Love these guys!!!!
Great show
Love it!

'Velvet' in a Room Prone to MOLD? 😳

Look at all it cost for them to fix this mess of a house.😊
They often buy from the Land Bank. They do the labor and estimated ~$40-45,000 in materials and other costs.
So nice to see an island to offset the traditional 'dead' corner.
Inside beautiful, outside too dark, repaint needed
My favourite's the kitchen
Adoro essa dupla. É a melhor.9
This is what l need ,little!
I love them👍👍👍
I really wanted to see the outside of the house.
I love cracked pepper, about to paint my pergola with it
I think I would have stuccoed the outside , course I live in Florida so maybe that's not done there.
Good thing they only paid $1,000. It was so bad.
I love a black house just needs a small color to break it up. I would've had the door either green or navy
Why would they be so stressed that the place was trashed? They're gonna rip it all out anyway. And if you buy it sight unseen, you get what you get.
Didn't show the finished exterior.😏
